[Day: Friday, January 25th. Time: 9:00 A.M.] [Weather: Sunny, but cold. Should be this way all day.] [When we last left off, Kyon took Chikako to an Italian place for breakfast in exchange for some information regarding the incident at school, and the rest of the group decided to tag along. They found out little about the incident, though, save for a Seiryu girl was murdered. Chikako ran off to investigate some more, leaving the rest still in the cafe.] [Session Start] * Shingo fights to keep from nodding off. * Katie frowns at Shingo. * Jiro looks confused. o_o * Shingo fails, as he sucks at combat, and nods off, leaning sideways onto Katie. Fortunately, he's maybe half her size, so he's not real heavy. * Katie catches Shingo and sighs. "Stupid boy." That must've taken a lot out of him. Well, it's not just today... * Katie looks around. [Katie sees the restaurant.] * Taki nods. "I wish he'd stop doing things like that, everytime there's a fight or something he rushes in and gets hurt." Yeah, yesterday, too. [A waitress comes over and asks if you'd like anything else.] Nothing for me, thanks. * Taki idly wonders what you're supposed to drink with a crossont, but doesn't say anything. * Katie shakes her head. "Nothing, thanks." * Kyon shakes his head, looking bemusedly at Shingo sleeping. "No. Just the check." Uh? Oh, no, I'm fine. I think. [The waitress nods and goes off. She comes back a bit later with the check.] * Satoshi reaches into his pocket, gets out a little more than his meal cost, and places it on the table. * Kyon takes it, looks it over, reaches into his jacket pocket for his wallet, and puts down the check and his and Chikako's share of the bill. * Katie waits for the waitress to leave, then stands, laying Shingo on his chair and hers. She plunks her satchel down on the table and starts rooting through it. * Taki tries to get a look at the bill so she can know how much she's supposed to put in. * Jiro digs into his pocket and produces a wallet. "Uh... how much do I owe you guys?" * Katie digs in her pocket and idly puts as much as she owes on the table. * Kyon points to the bill, and looks appraisingly at Shingo. "No tactics. At all." * Katie pulls her first aid kit out of the satchel and turns back to Shingo. * Katie waves her hand in front of the sleeping boy's face. * Shingo stirs lightly in his sleep. * Shingo mumbles something. * Jiro looks at the bill and puts what he thinks is the appropriate amount on the table. * Katie sighs. "" she says quietly, "" * Satoshi walks over and stands next to Katie, trying to make out what Shingo is saying. * Taki finaly catches site of it after Jiro puts it down and then goes to her bag to dig out the money. [22:03] * Shingo mumbled too lightly to catch it. [22:03] [22:04] * Katie nods and carefully untucks Shingo's shirt, then starts pulling it up, checking his injuries. [22:04] * Jiro frowns. [22:04] * Shingo is horribly beaten and bruised. He's black and blue and red all over. [Shingo's entire stomach is practically black-'n-blue.] * Satoshi inhales sharply. * Katie winces. "" Geez. I've seen some pretty bad stuff, but... * Jiro winces. "Jeez. What happened to this guy?" * Taki starts counting on her fingers. "He got beat up, and then he got beat up, and then he got beat up." * Jiro blinks. I think I was only around for two of those. What was the other one? * Katie opens her kit and starts treating Shingo-no-baka. We followed Saki one day...::shudders:: * Kyon stands up, looks down at Shingo, and raises an eyebrow. "Don't do this here. Take him to my place. You'll have privacy." Oh... *that.* * Jiro shakes his head. "Looks like this guy needs to pick his fights better." 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Katie (2d6-2) and gets 10, a CRITICAL FAILURE!!! "God hates you, and so do I." (... I can't DR, can I?) ( Uhh... Roll a d6, and we'll see :P ) d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Katie (d6) and gets 5. [Katie starts to treat Shingo, but evidently does something wrong, as he wakes up in a giffy with a feeling of PAIN.] AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! * Katie yelps and jumps back. Into the table, but hey. ^^; * Satoshi jumps back, somewhat startled. * Shingo rolls over and falls off the chairs. * Jiro jumps. "What the hell?!?" Shingo! * Shingo falls on his face and lays there, whimpering. * Satoshi immediately kneels down next to Shingo. * Katie groans. "That wasn't supposed to happen." Should I try to move him? * Jiro looks worried and confused again. Just... Shingo, I'm sorry! Are you okay? * Taki just looks worried. * Shingo reaches out with his arms and slowly pushes himself up. * Satoshi watches with extrememe concern. * Shingo brings his legs under him and stands up, wincing every few inches of movement. [A waitress comes over. "What happened here?"] ...I'm fine. They just surprised me. ["Are you sure? Should I call an ambulance?"] I'm fine, thank you. * Satoshi stands up. * Katie goes about putting the kit away, looking fairly miserable. * Shingo straightens his shirt out, wincing as he touches his chest and stomach. * Taki would offer to help Shingo, but she'd just get turned down. * Kyon looks levelly at the waitress and nods curtly. * Jiro blinks again, and shakes his head. [The waitress looks concerned but starts to walk away. "Well, if you're sure..."] We'll be all right. We're sorry about the desturbance, but he says he's fine. [The waitress nods and leaves.] * Kyon turns to Katie and rolls his shoulders. "Like I said. Take him to my place. We can treat him there. It's quieter." I don't need help. * Kyon snorts. "Like hell you don't." No, you don't want help. There's a difference. * Katie shoulders her satchel and nods. Coulda' fooled me. ( Gah. I want to describe the tone of voice he's using, but it's so hard. It's like... very soft, even, and totally emotionless. There's no intonation, or anything. ) You don't need help like Ken doesn't need his head danced on. (A male Ayanami?) ( Sort of. Like Soujirou in Kenshin, but not as happy. ) * Jiro snickers at Taki's comment. are we done here? * Katie just tightens her grip on her satchel. * Kyon turns and looks out the window. "Yeah. We're done here. And you're coming with me. You're going to get help. Understand?" ... Don't try to order me. * Jiro rubs his face. * Katie sighs. "This isn't the place for a fight." * Satoshi folds his arms and frowns. * Kyon rolls his eyes. "Listen, kid. I don't need a hit to my rep. Having my allies die because they're too stupid to get treated would do that. Come on." It's not like we had any other plans. * Jiro blinks. "Allies?" * Shingo looks over at Katie. Allies. I guess we'll have to explain later. * Katie looks back at Shingo, then smiles weakly. "I think we should go with him." We can't go to my place 'cause we can't all fit, The Tower's a bit of trip, I don't think going to the orphanage would help, and uhm...uhm... * Shingo nods. Fine. And my room's crowded. Let's just go, please? * Jiro rubs the back of his necks. "Uh, yeah. Explaining would be good." * Satoshi looks over at Jiro. "Belive me, I know how you feel." Yesterday seems like... weeks ago. * Kyon nods decisively. "Right. I'm driving. See you there." He turns from the group and walks towards the door. * Satoshi mutters. "Yeah, thanks." I hope you guys know where he lives. I do, yeah. * Taki ponders and gets a bit of a grin. "We could take a short cut." How would we... oh, yeah. That'd freak him out. * Katie smiles slightly at Taki's comment and walks over to Shingo, where she puts her hand on his shoulder and gently leads him out of the restaurant. * Satoshi follows. * Jiro follows Katie and Taki. * Shingo goes with Katie. * Katie starts heading towards the train station (and then to Kyon's apartment! Yay!). * Jiro follows! * Taki shrugs and walks after her fellow arcana. * Satoshi keeps on walking with the rest. [And off they go. They board a train and begin the ride to Kyon's place] * Katie sits, looking out the window. * Satoshi watches Shingo out of the corner of his eye. * Shingo is slumped over, dozing lightly. * Taki stares distractedly out the window and watches the land speed by. * Jiro stares out the window. * Satoshi looks at the others, but they're all either asleep or staring out windows. * Katie blinks and looks over at Satoshi. And you thought she wasn't paying attention. :P * Jiro keeps staring out the window. "So, uh. I don't suppose any of you guys can, y'know, explain this to me during the train ride, or somethin'?" * Shingo falls into a deeper sleep and slumps over into Katie's lap, though he winces painfully and _almost_ seems on the verge of waking up. Um. How far did we get? * Katie sighs and shifts Shingo so at least he won't be uncomfortable while he snoozes. Stupid boy. We told him who he was. That's it. * Katie scratches at her cheek. "Um, well, you're an Arcana. They represent different tarot cards." * Jiro nods mutely and listens. The cards tend to have certain traits or qualities associated with them. I don't know what yours is. I guess Kyon'd be able to tell you that. * Katie nods. Mine seem to fit me all too well... And powers. * Jiro nods again. "Uh, what was your... wait, powers?" Yeah, powers. [The train reaches the stop.] * Katie smiles slightly. "Yup. If I have any powers, I haven't found them yet. But most of the other Arcana seem to have them." Here we are. Like... * Katie gently shakes Shingo awake. Oh. Guess we'll have to finish this later. Sorry. Huhwha? Talk while we walk. * Shingo twists the wrong way and comes fully awake. * Katie winces. O_O * Shingo stands up quickly so that the pain is over faster. * Satoshi stands up, ready to support Shingo if necessary. * Shingo walks out of the train and heads for Kyon's place, walking very, very smoothly. * Katie stands and gets off the train, walking for Kyon's place. * Satoshi blinks. "Nice recovery." * Taki wishes there was something she could do for Shingo. * Katie sidles up to Satoshi and murmurs, "He's faking it." Huh. Ah. Should've guessed. * Katie shrugs. [The group spots Kyon just entering the building.] * Jiro follows. * Katie keeps heading for Kyon's apartment. :P * Satoshi follows as well. * Taki walks. * Shingo keeps walking smoothly, taking care not to jar his ribs too much. * Kyon doesn't pay attention and just goes inside to the bank of elevators. * Jiro eyes Shingo for a bit, then shrugs. [The group meets each other while waiting for the elevators.] * Katie starts humming to herself. * Satoshi nods at Kyon while keeping an eye on Shingo. * Jiro rolls his shoulders. [The elevator eventually comes down.] * Kyon looks over his shoulder at them, then turns back to the elevator and steps in. * Shingo steps softly onto the elevator. (Will we all fit in there?) * Satoshi follows Kyon and Shingo onto the elevator. ( Yeah ) ( It's a big roomey elevator with glass walls. ) * Katie steps into the elevator. * Jiro gets onto the elevator, too. * Kyon stands shoulder to a corner and looks out the glass back. * Taki walks into the elevator and stands just far enough away to try and catch Shingo with out looking like she planned it that way. * Satoshi looks around and says softly, "Niiiice." [The elevator's doors start to close. Just before they do, a hand thrusts itself between them, and they open again.] * Sho steps into the elevator. "Whew. Almost missed it." * Taki makes room for Sho by moving closer to Shingo. * Jiro waves cheerfully to the complete stranger. "Hi." * Katie bites her lip, but manages to keep herself from shrinking away from Sho. * Sho looks around at the group. "Even more recruits. I'm impressed, Kyon." * Satoshi regards Sho curiously for a second. * Satoshi says to himself, "Recruits?" * Kyon turns from the window, and then turns completely to look at Sho. "Sho. Yeah, they're just coming out of thin air now." * Satoshi recognizes the name and blinks. * Jiro blinks confusedly. "Eh?" You didn't realize...? Well, you can always come with me if you'd rather. Uh, no. I'm fine where I am. I think. Suit yourself. You're nothing I can't handle later, I'm sure. But enough about that. * Satoshi frowns. * Shingo snorts. * Kyon gives Sho a level look. "What's going on, Sho? You don't visit much." * Jiro frowns, apparently trying to figure out if that was a threat or not. * Sho chuckles. "Much as I'd like to say I stopped by for a nice chat, I'm afraid I've come for other reasons this time, Kyon." It involves a certain murder of a school girl, and the number one suspect. * Katie blinks. * Kyon nods curtly. "Wait till we get to the apartment." * Jiro blinks. You know? ( Yeah. I bought Chikako brunch. ) (Chikako's the only one who *really* knows anything.) (Ahh, so the way to get information is to bribe Chikako with meals. Gotcha.) Actually, that's partially why I'm here. * Sho nods. "That's right." * Kyon raises an eyebrow. "To see the apartment?" * Taki looks surprised and nearly asks a question, bur restrains herself. The cops are looking for you, Kyon. There's one right outside your apartment, waiting for you to come back. What?! ... Aw, hell. O_)) * Kyon shakes his head. "They just missed me. The cops aren't that good these days, Sho." You don't think? * Katie keeps her mouth shut and continues watching the conversation. * Kyon shrugs. "How long have they had since they knew the weapon? That's slow." * Jiro bites his lip to keep himself from asking or saying something stupid. Actually, they just found it a short time ago. * Kyon nods. "Yeah. If Chikako just found out, then they would have just found out, too." * Satoshi looks totally, completely, and utterly confused. * Jiro has a seat on the floor, leaning his head against his hand and looking confused. * Sho brings up a hand and idly stares at his fingers. "You're right, though." They aren't that good. Wouldn't have been possible for them to move so quickly normally. * Katie looks out the window, idly wondering why the doors haven't opened yet. Unless, of course, someone tipped them off. * Kyon leans forward towards the buttons and hits 3. "I wonder who that might have been," he says, deadpan. * Jiro looks up and frowns at Sho. * Sho shrugs, hitting the door open button. "Not I. After all, we're allies." * Kyon bows very slightly. "Of course, Sho. Allies. We would all do well to remember that." * Sho walks out of the elevator. "If anything, it's in my best interest that you stay out of prison. For now, at least." * Satoshi mutters, "Oh, wonderful..." I agree, Sho. It is. Not coming up? I think I'll pass, thank you. Well then. Later. Uhm...good day.. * Jiro works his jaw but doesn't say anything. * Sho grins and starts walking away. "Take care, Kyon. I'd hate to see anything bad happen to you." As the doors close, he laughs. "Hahahahaha..." to be precise. Who the hell was that? * Katie frowns as the elevator finally starts moving. Never trust someone who laughs like that. [The elevator starts moving to the third floor.] * Kyon hits 3 again and turns to the window. "Sho." Yeah. We were going to get to him sooner or later, I guess. Huh. Seems like a real bastard. * Taki nods. * Kyon smirks. "He is. But very powerful." [The elevator stops on the third floor. Sure enough, outside Kyon's apartment is an officer.] Okay, what now? [A young woman, to be precise. Pretty, too.] * Katie steps out of the elevator and blinks at the officer. Oh. Then we'll just have to be more careful about kickin' his... oh, hell. * Shingo steps softly out of the elevator right behind Katie. * Jiro steps out and looks around nervously. * Taki stands next to Katie. * Kyon steps out of the elevator. "Officer. How are you doing." * Shingo runs into Katie and sucks in a pained breath. Why'd you stop like that? * Katie winces. "Sorry. I was just a little surprised." * Officer is frowning and staring at the floor. She looks up in surprise when Kyon speaks. "Ah... Kyon Sorata?" * Kyon nods. "Yeah. I assume that if you're waiting there, you want to talk to me. Should we go inside?" Actually, um... I was told to bring you to the station for questioning. * Jiro fidgets. * Kyon nods politely. "I understand. Still, it would be good if I could let the others inside. They've come far out of their way. Sending them home would be very rude." * Katie binks in surprise. * Officer nods. "Um... I guess there's no harm in that." * Taki simply waits. * Kyon bows slightly. "Thank you, Officer. I'll only be a moment." He steps forward and unlocks the door to the apartment. * Officer nods and moves aside politely. * Katie heads on over. She smiles at the officer. "Thanks." * Officer nods. * Kyon slides the door open, and walks in ahead of the others. "Just one moment, Officer." All right. * Katie walks in after Kyon. * Satoshi follows Katie in, bowing politely at the officer as he walks past. * Jiro walks in after the others. "Uh, thanks." * Shingo pads softly along behind Katie. * Taki walks after Shingo and bows a bit as she passes the officer. * Kyon scoops up Kumaguro and scratches him behind his ears as he leans down towards the others. "This might take some time. Set the Knight up in my room. There are medicinal supplies in the bathroom. Get him fixed. And don't break anything." * Katie nods. "Okay. Good luck." * Satoshi nods as well. "Got it. And, yeah, good luck." I hope to see you back here soon. Uh, I'll try not to. * Kyon sets Kumaguro down and runs his hand under the cat's head. "Don't let him die. The cops won't hurt my standing. Him dying senselessly would." He straightens up, turns on his heel, and walks out the door. * Katie rolls her eyes as she helps Shingo to Kyon's room. "" * Satoshi follows Katie and Shingo. God. We are so in over our heads here. * Shingo shrugs off Katie's help. * Taki mumbles something about needing to study more. * Jiro chuckles and decides not to ask the obvious questions. No. Really? Can someone go and get those medical supplies Kyon talked about? [Kyon's bedroom is not ornate. Tatami are laid across the floor; Kyon's bed is towards the side of the room. The window has a good view of the street, and there's a cat perch in front of it. On the far wall from the door, there is a dresser and two bookshelves.] * Shingo sits down on Kyon's bed and lays back, closing his eyes. * Shingo dozes off in an instant. Uh, sure. * Katie sits on the bed and sets her satchel on the floor. * Jiro goes to get those medical supplies Kyon talked about. [The side opposite the window has two pictures on it: Kyon and his parents, and Kyon and some other guy you don't recognize. And the door to the bathroom is to the left of the picture of him and the parents by five feet.] * Satoshi looks at Shingo and Katie, then sighs. * Katie looks over at Satoshi and grins. "What's the problem? Besides the obvious, I mean." * Kumaguro scampers to Kyon's bedroom and jumps on his perch. He sits and looks at Shingo. * Satoshi shakes his head. "Yeah, the obvious." * Satoshi regards Kumaguro briefly. Hello, cat. * Shingo snores lightly. z_z * Kumaguro looks balefully at Satoshi before turning back to staring at Shingo. * Satoshi looks back at Katie. "The obvious and pretty much everything else." * Katie sighs. Well, maybe I can help. I haven't been doing this much longer than you, though. Is Shingo always like this? * Katie tilts her head. How do you mean? * Taki walks into the room. "No, sometimes he can walk and talk and I even saw him not hurt a few times." Well, repeatedly getting beat up and then refusing help is not a good thing. Oh. Doesn't somebody *notice*? * Katie looks over at Kumaguro as she considers. "What do you mean?" * Kumaguro blinks slowly at Katie. Well, I've taken a few beatings in my day, but... * Satoshi stops and thinks. * Jiro returns with some stuff in his hands. "Uh, I think these are medical supplies." * Katie looks over at Jiro and gets up, taking them from him. "Yeah, they are. Thanks." Actually, he hasn't got the excuse that I did. * Satoshi sighs. I think he wants to know why we haven't managed to stop Shingo from getting hurt yet. * Jiro nods. "Sure." And I've fallen out of trees. It's hard to stop someone when they really want to do something. * Satoshi grins, revealing his missing tooth. Yep. Heh. Which is why I sort of think I understand a little... but then I realize how much I don't really understand. * Jiro nods. * Katie sets the supplies down and pulls up Shingo's shirt. "Well, from what I can tell... I'm no expert on people, but..." * Shingo moans softly. Shingo doesn't like being talked down to. And he doesn't like being told what to do. I think he's had enough of that. * Satoshi nods. "I can sympathize." * Katie smiles faintly. "And he's willing to fight. He's hot headed and refuses help, but still." * Katie starts patching up Shingo again. Hopefully she won't crit fail this time. 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Katie (2d6-2) and gets 3. * Taki nods "You have to admire somebody who is willing to do so much." * Jiro just nods knowingly. * Satoshi considers this. You do. * Kumaguro hops off the perch and over to the tatami bed. He lies and curls up at Shingo's feet. But one of the first things I learned when I started playing was to pick your fights. Mmm. * Katie continues her work. * Shingo whimpers. [Katie succeeds in undoing the damage she did before.] I dunno. It's like striking a balance of sorts. I'm still working on mine, so I shouldn't really try to analyze other people. * Katie sighs. "That's all I can do for now." She packs up the supplies and looks to Jiro. "Can you put them back where you got them, please?" * Jiro nods. "Sure." He takes the supplies and wanders off to put 'em back. Hey, did that make any sense, or am I just spouting gibberish here? * Katie runs one hand through her hair and sits back on the bed. She carefully smooths Shingo's shirt down. "I think it made sense." * Shingo whimpers again at the touch. * Satoshi sighs. "Good." Shingo kinda reminds me of me at that age, in a way. * Taki looks up at Satoshi, "Oh?" * Katie fidgets, then scritches Kumaguro behind the ears. Yeah. Stubborn and determined to find my own way. * Kumaguro presses his head to Katie's hand and meows softly. Only he doesn't have... * Jiro blinks. "Have what?" Have? Oh. Nothing. That's just me being self-centered again. Sorry. * Satoshi rubs the back of his head with his hand. * Katie just rubs Kumaguro some more. "Have what, Satoshi? It's all right." * Satoshi shakes his head. "Nah, it's nothing to worry about. I don't know his situation, so I can't judge." * Kumaguro blinks lazily at Katie and starts purring very quietly. * Katie smiles and starts petting the kitty in smooth strokes. "But yeah. Shingo will be okay, I hope." * Shingo whimpers softly. * Satoshi lets out a breath. "Yeah, I hope so, too." * Jiro nods. Anyhow, Jiro's way overdue for the rest of the explanation. * Taki looks over at Shingo. "Get better, please?" * Shingo has broken out in a cold sweat. ...That can't be good. * Satoshi looks over at Shingo. It's not good, but it's not bad. Damn. I think it's just his body trying to fix itself. * Shingo starts mumbling softly. Huh? Oh. I guess. * Satoshi looks dubious. "Okay. I was wondering if we were going to have to get him to a hospital." * Taki nods, "You know more about this than I do." * Katie carefully lifts Kumaguro from on top of Shingo and sets him on her lap. "Yeah." [Shingo still doesn't look so hot :P] * Kumaguro ruffles his fur, stands up, and stretches, waving his tail in Katie's face. * Katie grins and bats the tail out from under her nose. "Anyway, um. From what I know, most of the Arcana are in some sort of war." Sho, the guy we met in the elevator, is apparently one side. * Katie nods. Yeah. One guy, one side. Well, it looks like he's got followers or something. And he's working with Kyon and Reiji about the Judgement thing. But yeah. We'll get to Judgement in a minute. * Jiro nods and keeps listening. The other side is called the Band. And they are, too. There's about... seven of them? Is that right? * Katie shrugs. "Something like that." I've never seen them, I think Kyon said they were pretty good musicians. We don't know who any of them are. At least, not yet. I haven't met this Reiji guy Katie mentioned, either, and I just met Sho a few minutes ago. Mmm. Reiji's sister is Kyoko. She tried to kill me, Taki, and Shingo about a week ago. *laughs weakly* That's how we were introduced to all of this, even if we didn't know it at the time. She's on our side, though. It was a mistake. * Katie sighs. * Satoshi raises an eyebrow. "You didn't tell me about that." * Jiro shakes his head. "Weird." * Katie shrugs. "It was a mess." Okay. Well, yes, as Kyon put it, it's a battlefield. And it gets worse. Not only do we have Sho and his allies versus the Band, but there's Judgement. * Katie runs her hand through her hair and nods. * Satoshi begins to pace. Judgement is... is... Uh. Judgement? Making things disappear. * Satoshi stops. "Yeah. The recent disappearances." They're not *sure* it's Judgement, but that's what it looks like, they say. * Jiro looks understandably dismayed by that. "Uh." * Katie shrugs. "Not just people, though. Arcana." And we're not talking death, apparently. We're talking just... gone. * Kumaguro turns in Katie's lap, hops out, and jumps back to the tatami next to Shingo's side. And then, of course, there's the other cause of disappearances....Saki.... * Katie shudders. * Satoshi lets out a shaky breath. "Yeah..." * Jiro frowns. "Y'mean that b-- ...girl from your school?" Yeah. She... ate Hiro Kasuga. And she wanted, or wants, to do the same with us. She said that the magic in us makes us taste better. * Jiro blanches. "*Ate*?" * Taki pales and nods. * Satoshi shudders. "That's what they say. I wasn't there for it." * Katie looks down at the ground. "Me, Taki, and Shingo... before we even knew we're Arcana. We walked in on her doing it." I don't know for sure if it was Hiro, but that *was* human. * Jiro stares. "..." She came after them again yesterday, but this time I was there too. That was the first time Shingo got beat up too. She caught us all in this sort of field thing. It traps Arcana but not ordinary people. Apparently, I can sense when it happens, which reminds me... Earlier, when you and Hibiki were fighting, another one went up. * Katie nods and looks up at Satoshi. "I think Ken's an Arcana, too." * Jiro looks at Satoshi. "Huh? 'S news ta me." Unless you did it without realizing it, it was probably Hibiki, then. I don't think he knows. And you both have to be Arcana, because Chikako disappeared. * Taki nods. I have no clue how to make the fields. I can just sense them somehow. That's part of the powers we were talking about earlier. * Shingo starts shifting uncomfortably. * Jiro shrugs. "I dunno about either." * Satoshi sighs and looks at Katie. "So. Did we about cover it?" * Katie presses her hand to Shingo's forehead to check his temperature. "Yeah, I think so." * Satoshi looks over at Jiro. I can't think of anything else. How's he doing? That's it, then. I'm sorry. Really, really sorry. * Shingo still has a cold sweat going. * Shingo moans. * Jiro shrugs. "I guess so. And it's fine. I think." * Katie sighs. "I hope he's doing better. I really, really wish we could take him to a hospital without all the trouble it would cause." We aren't gonna lay down and die. But that still doesn't make me wish that none of this had happened. Damn right we're not. That's my plan. * Shingo starts tossing lightly back and forth. * Satoshi looks over at Shingo. Dammit. * Satoshi mutters, "Just wish I knew *why*, that's all." noooooooOOoOOoOOOOOOOOOOAAAAH! Shingo! * Satoshi runs over and kneels next to the bed. Shingo?! What the--? * Shingo sits straight up and paws at his face right where his largest scar runs. * Kumaguro rolls up and dashes away from Shingo back up onto his perch. * Jiro runs over to Shingo. "You okay?" * Shingo pulls one hand away and searches it frantically for something. * Taki runs up to the bed. "Shingo!" * Katie starts, then looks over at Shingo with concern. Shingo! Man, snap out of it! * Shingo sees nothing and checks his other hand, and then runs his fingers over the entire scar and checks again. * Shingo sees nothing once again and calms down. * Jiro blinks. * Katie bites her lip. "Shingo?" what? Why- you just started putting your hands to your face. You...what Katie said. And before that, you were screaming. ... * Shingo pushes himself to his feet. It's nothing. * Katie frowns. "Sure it isn't. Sit back down, please." Like *hell* it's nothing! Like... yeah, what he said. * Jiro frowns for a bit, then shrugs. "Where'd you get that scar, anyway?" * Satoshi facepalms. ...it's none of your business. * Katie grabs Shingo by the hand and lightly tugs him back to the bed. "Come on. Sit." She glares at Jiro. * Shingo is tugged down. Yeah. You don't have to tell us *anything*, Shingo, but... please. Rest. * Jiro shrugs. "Figured." * Katie nods. * Taki grumbles to herself and then says out loud, "Do you want something to drink, Shingo?" ...yes, please. [Session End]
