[So, um... They're running, yeah] * Katie keeps running, but starts slowing down. She gasps for breath and glances at the sky. * Shingo almost runs into Katie. WAH! * Shingo trips over his own feet and rolls to a stop right in front of Katie, while she's still running. * Katie looks down at Shingo and blinks. Ow... * Shingo looks up at Katie as she comes running at him. * Jiro runs up to Shingo and Katie. * Katie jumps over Shingo, and to her surprise, starts flying. O_O * Jiro blinks. "...that's different." * Katie stares down at the ground. "" She frowns and shakes her head, then flies down the street. * Shingo jumps up, wincing, and continues running after Katie. * Jiro continues following Katie. * Katie keeps going until she spots a building on her right. She slows and falls to land gently on the ground, walks up, and pulls open the door. * Jiro stops right behind her. * Shingo doesn't slow down in time and crashes into the wall right next to the door. x_x [Katie enters Yummy Chinese Food restaurant. A waitress immediately shouts a greeting. Somewhere in the back, someone trips and there's the sound of many pots and pans falling.] * Jiro blinks at Shingo. "Damn, man, you okay?" [Sho is sitting in a table, munching on Dim Sum.] * Katie looks around, then turns to the waitress. "I'm with him." She points at Sho. [The waitress nods.] Owie... * Sho looks up. "Hmm? You people." Decided to join me after all? * Shingo pulls himself up the wall and steps just inside the door, watching Katie. * Katie smiles coldly at Sho. "No way in hell." * Jiro watches Katie and Sho. Oh? Too bad then. What did you do to Chikako? * Sho munches on the Dim Sum. "Mm... Marvelous stuff." * Sho blinks. "Hm?" * Katie folds her arms and glares at Sho. "Chikako. What did you do to her?" * Jiro reaches a hand back to make sure all the stuff on his backpack is still there. * Sho shrugs. "I gave her powers in exchange for information. What about it?" It's not like knowing is going to do you any good in the long run. * Katie snarls and a slight breeze picks up around her. "So this is *your* fault?" * Sho shrugs. "Don't know what you're talking about." She's dead because of you! Dead? That's silly. I just saw her earlier. * Katie pushes one hand towards Sho and wind blows towards him. * Sho raises an eyebrow. "My... you're... Sure you don't want to join me?" * Shingo steps forward and reaches up to put a hand on Katie's shoulder. Shut up! You- * Katie turns to glare at Shingo. "What?" * Sho shrugs. "Suit yourself." He returns to his nummy Dim Sum. * Shingo shakes his head. * Jiro steps up to Katie's other side. We need to go, Katie. No, we don't. Please, Katie... there's nothing we can do here, right now. * Jiro frowns at that. He's right, you know. You really can't. I'll win in the end anyhow. * Katie starts shaking slightly and glances around, looking completely lost. * Shingo pulls Katie gently towards the door. Don't worry. We'll take care of him, but we've got other things to take care of right now. * Jiro shoots a glare at Sho before following Katie and Shingo out. * Katie allows herself to be led for a moment, then blinks and shakes her head. "No." ... * Shingo continues gently pulling Katie towards the door. * Katie shakes Shingo off and looks to the ground. "You... wanted her to die, didn't you?" * Sho shrugs. "Not really. She was a good source of information, and very loyal. If she is dead, though... Well, kinda sucks, but I'll deal." * Jiro sneers, and his right hand twitches. * Katie turns to Sho. "Kind of sucks? She was my best *friend*! She worshipped you!" Of course. Everyone does. Or they wind up dead. But why would I kill one of my own followers? That's just be stupid. * Katie blinks. "She... you... You didn't kill her. But if-" She puts her hand to her forehead and shuts her eyes. Frankly, I think you'd do better to find the real killer. * Shingo tugs gently on the arm of Katie's shirt. * Katie pulls her hand from her face, and she turns to look at Shingo. She blinks a couple of times, then realization flashes across her face. "You!" * Jiro blinks, looks at Katie, and blinks again. * Shingo looks up at Katie with big, sad eyes. * Katie screams and pulls her arm away from Shingo. Wind picks up (indoors, where it really shouldn't be) and howls around her. "" * Shingo just stands there, not quite having figured it out yet. Gah! Wha? [The waitresses look confused and worried.] Wh--wha? * Shingo doesn't say anything, he just keeps looking up at Katie. * Katie stares at Satoshi, then looks over at Jiro and backs away from both of them, towards Sho. * Sho smirks. "Hmm... Now this is interesting." * Jiro still looks confused. "What the hell?" * Shingo doesn't move, doesn't even blink. * Shingo just stares right into Katie's eyes. * Katie stumbles farther backwards until she finds herself pressed against Sho's table, and she looks from Shingo to Jiro and back with wide, not altogether stable eyes. * Jiro looks concerned. * Sho grins. "So you're beginning to see. I mean, really, compared to them, I'm actually not so bad, am I?" * Katie glances back at Sho, but raises her hand to Shingo and Jiro. The wind howls a bit more, then whips towards the boys. [That's gonna be a ranged defense roll from the two of ya.] * Shingo doesn't resist. 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Jiro (2d6) and gets 7. [The wind sends the boys flying, slamming into the building on the other site of the street.] Gah! * Shingo slams into the wall and slides down to the ground. * Katie walks out to the street. * Sho grins. "Very impressive." * Jiro struggles back to his feet after being slammed into the wall. * Shingo drags himself to his feet and continues standing there, staring at Katie, tears running down his cheeks. * Sho follows, observing. * Jiro runs up to Sho and grabs him. * Katie flicks her hand towards Jiro as he runs towards Sho (and consequently her). A gust of wind screams towards him again. ( Make a def roll, Jiro. ) 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Jiro (2d6) and gets 8. [Jiro is lifted off the ground and hurdled into the building again. He slams into it with his back of his head and slides down, leaving a trail of blood.] * Jiro apparently decides now is a good time to stop moving. * Shingo stands unsteadily in front of Katie, still staring into her eyes, tears trailing down his cheeks. Amazing! I can't believe I didn't notice how powerful you were sooner. Shut up. * Sho decides to do just that, and continues to observe. * Katie turns to Shingo and walks towards the boy, observing him carefully. * Shingo doesn't move, except for an occasional shudder or shift as he tries to keep his balance. * Katie stops and stares at him for a moment, then reaches into her satchel and digs around in it for a bit. She extracts a bit of metal, then tosses it to Shingo's feet. * Shingo doesn't stop staring at Katie. Go on, Shingo. Pick it up. No. * Katie blinks in confusion. "Why not?" Why? Because it's yours. So? * Katie frowns. "" She raises her hand and looks him directly in the eye. * Shingo doesn't move. * Sho laughs. * Sho points to Jiro. "" * Shingo continues staring into Katie's eyes. * Katie remains still as the wind picks up "" There's a shriek as the wind slices at the boy before her. ( O_O ) ( You're fuckin' kidding me. ) ( Make a def roll, Shingo ) ( !_! ) * Shingo doesn't dodge, he's too fuckin' stunned, and wasn't planning to, anyway.
