[Taki is in the eggshop! There are eggs! There's shelves with eggs, eggs so big they can't fit on shelves, eggs on sale... Eggs!] [... Taki has never seen so many eggs. She's speechless.] * Taki blinks blearily at the eggs...and then stares at them in confusion. [They don't stare back. They're eggs. A sign above the aisle she's in says "Aisle 5: Eggs" left and right, she can also see "Aisle 6: Eggs" and "Aisle 4: Eggs" ] * Taki walks forward untill she gets to the end of the aisle- still with the highly confused look on her face. (And if these aisle go on for ever she's going to be walking for a while, before she figures it out) [Taki comes to the registers. They're... operated by chickens.] * Taki stares at the chickens now...and seems to wake up a bit, "...I... am either having an even weirder dream...or have gotten stuck in Jin's head." [A chicken looks at Taki and blinks. "... Bwak?"] [The chicken looks at another chicken. "Bwa-kak?" Said chicken responds with a shrug. "Bwak."] [The first chicken picks up a phone, and throught the store, "Bwak-bw- wak-wak-bwak? Bwak-bw-wak-wak-bwak," echoes.] [Then Jin shows up, wearing a striped shirt. He's got a name tag: "Jin. Manager."] * Taki nods as if though she had some idea what they were saying, but unfortunatly she took english as her second language and not chikin, so she looks around the front of the store. Do they have doors here? [No. They don't have doors. Freaky.] * Taki blinks at Jin and then grins and runs over to him, "JIN!" Jin blinks. "Can I help you?" * Taki nods several times, "Yes, yes you can. I need to get back to the school, only there doesn't seem to be a door here. Just eggs and chickens." Jin blinks again. "Can I help you? I'm not sure." * Taki hasn't stopped smiling yet, "Jin? What do you do when you're not being the manager in here?" "... I don't know." * Taki ...grins wider, "Then go do it, and I'll follow you." "I can't. I work until 5:00." So, what time is it now? [Jin points at a clock. The hour hand is pointed at "Forever"] (What are the other times on the clock, if any?) ( "Forever, Never, Too Late, and 5:00" ) ( But the hand seems stuck at Forever. Maybe the clock is broken ) (Which side of Forever is 5:00 on?) ( closer to it clockwise ) (Drat) * Taki 's face falls for a moment, but then, "Hmm, I know something you can do to help me, could you ask one of the register workers who's in charge of the clock for me? And then tell me what she said in Japanese?" [Jin blinks, then turns to the chickens. "Who's in charge of the clock?" "Bwa-wa-wak!" comes the reply. Jin turns back to Taki. "She said 'Bwa-wa- wak!'... in Japanese." * Taki closes her eyes for a moment, "and what does that mean in Japanese, I'm sorry, but I don't understand chicken." Jin: "... It means 'Bwa-wa-wak!'" * Taki nods twice, "Jin? Who did she say is in charge of the clock?" "I don't know." * Taki sighs and then checks her own watch. [Taki can't see her watch. It's hidden beneath the wing of her chicken suit.] (...) * Taki stares at the arm of her chicken suit, and then looks at Jin, "I think something is broken here, and it might be the clock, can you give me a hand fixing it? I can't use mine right now." [Jin produces a big foam hand and holds it out.] * Taki holds up a feather covered arm, "No thanks, I want you to come with me to the clock and change what it says." "Oh." Can you do that? "I'm not sure." * Taki grabs Jin's arm and starts walking twords the clock, "Let's go find out." [Jin is dragged] * Taki takes him to the clock! (how high up is it?) ( Ummm... 2 people high ) * Taki looks around for something to stand on that isn't an egg or Jin, but doesn't expect to find one. [Unless she piles up the chickens, no.] * Taki sighs, "Jin? I want you to stand still under the clock, and then I'm going to teleport onto your shoulders so I can reach the clock. Don't...er...Try not to move much while I'm I'm upthereanddon'tlookupandit'llworkout." "...Ok" * Taki stands facing the wall with he feet about the width of his shoulders apart and wait for him to get into position. (*waits [Jin stands there.] * Taki teleports onto his shoulders! (and unless he's 10 meters tall, I don't think I need to roll that do I?) ( Nope! ) [Taki is on Jin's shoulders. He does not move.] * Taki reaches up and tries to take the clock off the wall. (And RDM remembers he should have asked how big it was. ^^;) [It's built into the wall.] * Taki struggles with it for a moment and then tries to open it. ( Hmm... Mind - mechanics (clockwork), -2 bonus ) [Taki opens it!] * Taki puts a couple of fingers on the hour hand and tries to move it to 5:00. [It's 5:00! The chickens go "Bwa-wa-waaaaaaaak!" They put on little hats, grab their belongings and start filing into the freezer.] * Taki closes the clock and teleports down, she's grinning again. "Jin! Take me to Satoshi!" [Jin blinks. And Taki wakes up! Her head's resting on a classroom desk.] * Taki blinks at the desk, and then pushes herself upright with her hands, "Ugh...I'm not sure...No wait Yoshiko is worse." ( awareness check! ) (hell no!) ( Taki is blissfully clueless of anything! ) ( She doesn't realize she's wearing a chicken suit ) * Taki looks around for her bag, it has her phone in it, Satoshi might want to know more about what he was up to in his youth, and she needs to apologise for being so late. [Taki finds it! It's next to the mop 'n' bucket * Taki opens up her bag and speeddials Satoshi instead! [No answer!] * Taki frowns at the phone and tries Katie's number. [No answer!] * Taki tries Haruko, "Comeon, be there...." [No answer!] * Taki ... scrolls through the phone book a few times and tries Kyon! [No answer!] * Taki ... tries Kaede's shop. * Taki starts to pace while the phone rings, "if this is another dream..." [Taki gets an answer! "Hello! Takeuchi Bike Repair! How can I help...! Oops! I accidently knocked over the pencil jug again. These things are so big, they're always knocking things over. Anyhow, can I help you?" (...) ( You called her >.> ) Hi Akemi? This is Taki, have you seen Kaede today? "Oh, hi Taki! No, why?" (I was kinda expecting the sister, but whatever) ( <.< ) 'Cause I got assigned to clean up duity and then fell asleep, and now that I've woken up, I can't get in touch with anybody...which means that they've all turned their phones off or gotten stuck in a field. And I was hoping you might know where they went. I guess you don't though. "Oh. Nope! But if I do, I'll call you!" Thanks, and I'll let you know when I find Kaede. "Okay!" Talk to you later. "Bye bye!" * Taki hangs up ...and stares at her phone for a moment before sheepishly trying Kaede's other number. [No answer!] * Taki lets out a sigh, "That would have been silly...Who else might know?" * Taki paces around the room for a bit and then picks up the mop and bucket and puts them away, it's as she's closing the supply cabnet that she remembers the newspaper office. * Taki walks down there! [Taki heads down to the office. On the way, she sees... Saki! And Yorihisa. Saki's looking all angry, and she's got Yorihisa by the collar, pinned against the wall; his feet aren't even touching the ground.] * Taki facepalms, "Now what?" ( What's up? Yorihisa's an ass. Oh, okay. Carry on.) (::inserts a You seen Katie? No. in there::) * Saki growls at Yorihisa. "I don't know how the hell you know that, you little freak, but back off if you want to live." * Yorihisa grimaces, but has a slight smirk on her face. "Or what, another bomb?" He winces more as Saki tightens her grip, choking him. * Taki blinks, and finaly speaks up, "I don't think killing him would help with...whatever he did to deserve that." * Saki blinks and looks over at Taki. She lets go of Yorihisa, who falls to the floor, coughing. * Yorihisa does pull himself to his feet after a few minutes, though. "She says hello." Who? * Taki looks at Yorihisa. * Yorihisa smiles, an annoying mocking smile. "If you change your mind, you can usually find me in the computer room." * Yorihisa then leaves! (Taki should head him off, then Saki can grab him again.) ...Wow...an open invitation to kill him later... * Saki yells after him. "The hell's that supposed to mean? Screw you!" * Taki shakes her head, "Argh, Saki! Have you seen any of my friends today?" * Saki looks at Taki like she just noticed her. "Those guys? Nah." * Taki curses under her breath in Japanese and then speaks up, "I can't find any of them...It's like they're in a field or something...Uhm...If I do find them and... they need help, is there a way for me to get in contact with you? For the Cup if nothing else?" * Saki shrugs. "I guess." She gives off a cell phone number. "Chances are, you'll only catch me one in three times, though." * Taki pulls out her phone and puts that in, "Thanks, and hopefully that'll be the one time I do need your help." (you know, if there isn't anybody at the office she is going to try the lab next.) * Saki shrugs. I'll call you if I need, and thanks again! * Taki hurries down to the newspaper office. [Taki arrives at the office.] * Taki knocks on the door and then tries to open it, "Excuse me!" [No answer!] [But it does open.] [Inside, there's only one person. Chikako is slumped over her desk.] * Saki is now known as Chikako * Taki rushes over to Chikako to check that she's just asleep and not beaten up and left to blead like so many others these days. Chikako! * Chikako is asleep on a pile of editorials * Taki lets out a sigh of reliefe and waits for he heart to stop pounding before she reaches for Chikako's shoulder and gently shakes it. * Chikako mumbles. "Eggs... so cool..." Eggs...are not cool today Chikako, c'mon wake up. * Chikako blinks. "Huh?" She peers at Taki, takes off her glasses, rubs her eyes, and peers again. * Chikako squints. "Taki! Cool!" * Taki gives Chikako a weak smile, "Yes, and maybe no. I've got a problem." * Chikako blinks. I can't find Katie, and I was wondering if you might know where she went. Umm... I dunno. * Chikako thinks. "Oh! Yesterday she was developing these cool photos Arisu took." * Taki nods, "I was just about to aks about them, you wouldn't happen to have them around here would you? There might be clue there." "And she was going to do something about attacks? Or something." Right, we're trying to keep more people from getting hurt like Arisu was...and I'm afraide that Katie might have found the reason for them...so its very important that I find Katie, otherwise somthing not cool might happen. Ummm... Yeah! I'm keeping the negatives for Arisu. It's cool. * Chikako shuffles papers. * Taki grins at Chikako, "Can I look at them?" ( No! ) * Chikako spreads them out on the table. ( but...but...That's so not COOL! ;_;) * Taki picks a random strip up, and holds it up to the light...and then flips it over a few times trying to figure out which way is up. ( Probably the side opposite the side where the people are standing. ) [Taki sees the photos from session 118] (Taki opens up 118 to see what the pic is!) (*wonders if Taki knows what the opposite color of red is*) ( Um... Make a mind roll - visual arts (photography) ) ( -1 bonus ) (She does know that that's a red dress!) [Taki looks at the pictures and puts two and two together. The group's probably looking for Yushiro.] * Taki slowly puts the negatives down, and swallows, "I wish I had Kaede here...he'd just open up his laptop and...." * Taki shakes her head, "Chikako? Can you find out where one of the students at our school lives? Right now? I think I know where Katie went." It's cool! I have a super information network! * Taki bobs her head, "That's super cool, I need to know where Fuyuko Kageri lives, she's one of the girls in the pictures." * Chikako nods. "Cool. I figured; Haruko wanted to know too." She gives off an address. * Taki closes her eyes as she tries to figure out where that would be. [Taki is unsure.] * Taki opens her eyes and rubs her forehead, "Uhm...your super cool information network wouldn't happen to have a map would it?" Nope! But I have a cool one in this book! * Chikako produces a road atlas. (I'm glad that Arcana Japan isn't like the real one and the streets all have names.) Did Haruko find it in there too? I dunno. * Taki opens the back of the book and looks up the page for the road that the siblings live on. ( Navigation roll! ) ( -1 bonus ) [Taki finds it] * Taki flips to the right page, "Aha!" * Taki then gets started on figuring out where that is in relation to where she is now. [Eh... About 30 minutes away by subway.] * Taki shuts the book, "Thanks Chikako, I'll let you know as soon as I find her." Ok, cool! [At any rate, session end!]
