[Day: Monday, April 18th. Time: 4:30 p.m.] [Weather: Overcast, windy, and probably gonna rain later.] [You've gathered at the Tower Reversed, in the hopes of finding clues leading to Saki. So far, no good. But you did run across a new girl from Shunyo high here, and she seems to know you! And Masaru's there, too. But pay him no mind.] [Yet before anything else can happen, Kyon arrives and tells Katie he needs her help with something (But not so bluntly and probabily more smirkily. I dunno). They leave.] [Okay! Session Start!] * Haruko waves goodbye to Kyon and then looks to the new girl and bows slightly. "Greetings, I'm Haruko Kinsha, Queen of Cups." (Do you even need to ask by now? ^_~) [She waves her hand. "Yeah, I know that already."] * Haruko smiles sheepishly. "But I'm afraid we don't know your name." * Kaede looks at her curiously. "Us guys?" ["Sure you do!"] Oh? * Taki blinks. We do? * Kaede looks her over closely. Probably too close for comfort. [She blinks. "Don't you?"] Um, no. Well, remind us. Maybe we'll remember then. * Taki shakes her head. How do we know each other? * Haruko grins. "We often don't get as much sleep as we should." (You said it, Haruko.) (Damn, I forgot her name. Hold on >.<) (...) ( Okay, I was lying. I don't know my name, I was hoping you would.) (^_~) (*snerk*) ( Page updated. ) (Cool, thanks.) ["I'm Kanade Sawa!" She blinks hopefully.] Sorry, that doesn't sound familiar to me. You guys? * Satoshi looks at the others. (Does it?) ( Nope ) * Taki shakes her head. "N...no." * Haruko thinks for the moment and then bluffs. "Oh, I think I remember, you're the Star right?" Um.... No? ( "" ) Dang. Well, maybe our memories were erased. It's been known to happen. Like Kaede said, how do we know you? * Satoshi blinks at Haruko. ["Didn't Hinako tell you about me?"] Arai-san? If she did, I'm afraid I've forgotten. Sorry. * Haruko nods. "Sadly we only talk to her during crises. So it must have slipped her mind." * Taki nods. [She sighs. "Well, I can't say I'm surprised."] * Haruko surpresses, fairly easily, the impulse to point out that she seemed surprised. "So then, a pleasure to meet you Kanade Sawa. I'm guessing we have something to talk about." ["We do? Oh, yeah. There's nothing here. I was supposed to tell you that, but apparantly nobody told you I existed, so..."] There's nothing here? What does that mean? ...so you're here to tell you...wait, who knew we were coming here? (second you = us) [She stares blankly at Kaede. "Hinako."] So why is she still following us? ["Huh?"] She's following our progress for a reason. What is it? And why did she get you involved? I am tired of people tracking us without letting us know what is going on. Uhm... When did... Whendidshetellyouwewerecoming? * Haruko seems fairly unpreturbed by all this, but doesn't interrupt the questioning. ["Uh... I dunno? Maybe she's worried? I mean that girl got kidnapped, right?"] * Kaede snorts. "If she was worried, she'd tell us where something *was*, not where something is *not*." That assumes she knows where it was. * Haruko glances to Kanade. "I take it she didn't have any leads for us." Her tone is disappointed but not that surprised. [She leans forward at Kaede. "Oh? So, where is it, then?"] * Haruko looks oddly at Kanade. * Taki is confused and ignored; all is right with the world. (But is she sleepy?) ( Doesn't seem to be, now. ) (Woo!) (I'm sleepy, but that's not new. ;p) (Not particularly) * Kaede throws his hands up. "How am I supposed to know?" (... Is there something we didn't know about Kaede?) ["Huh. Guess you must not be worried, then."] Oh, we're always worried. It's kinda a permanent thing nowadays. Is there anything in particular you think we should be worried about? (Yes. The fact that she killed you dead three times before you finished that sentence.) (Impressive.) (Bah, after the second time she'd have to reload.) (Wah! You killed Satoshi! You bastard!) Where is what anyways? ["I dunno. You started it!"] Okay, this is silly. We're searching for Saki. Do you know anything about where she is? Or any other places we can skip? [She turns to Satoshi. "Um... Well... She's probably wherever the drug dealers are, you know. But where are they?"] I... don't know? Some of them used to hang out at the construction site, I think. But she busted them a while back. * Kaede rubs his head. "Why is it everyone who is sent to help us always has more questions than we have?" Because nobody knows what's going on. Well, at least we're not alone in that. ["Oh. Hmmm..." She taps her chin. "I wonder if the police know anything? I mean, they've been on this case for a long time. Maybe they're just hiding something."] * Haruko nods. "I'd been intending to raid their files. Things keep coming up." What are the odds of that? * Taki keeps quiet. ["How should I know?"] Well, considering the culprits are Arcana, the odds of them really being able to find anything incriminating is doubtful. Unless there's an Arcana on the force. Well, they may have information that isn't incriminating. Like a hideout that they've tried to raid, only to have everyone seem to disappear. [She grins slyly. "You think it's doubtful?"] Also, we know a lot of towers. If we can find where drug activity has been concentrated lately, we can check the local hotspots. Hmm... the Arcana should be a college-aged at oldest, unless he or she was one of the survivors. Although there's exceptions and powers, so we can't be sure about this. Anyways, you recommend we check out the police records. Sounds good to me. ::she glances around to the others:: [She shrugs. "Or maybe not. I dunno!"] So we're trusting someone we just met on flimsy info to give us a lead that may or may not exist. * Taki looks more confused than helpfull at the moment. Is this worse than usual? What trust? I'm assuming she knows more than she's telling. No offense Kanade. That doesn't mean it isn't a good idea. [She shrugs. "Trust me or not, I don't care. But I'm gonna go back to sleep." She lays back down on the couch, and before long is out like a light.] Actually, it's about standard for us. Anyways, we aren't getting anything done here. * Haruko walks over to the elevator and hits the up button. Right. Back to the drawing board? Session Time: Fri May 19 00:00:00 2006 [The drawing board is already here: Masaru is using it.] * Taki blinks as she realizes something after it's too late and turns to Masaru. "Uhm... Do you know which card she is?" * Haruko smiles and looks over to Taki. "Good thought." * Kaede shakes his head and walks over to the elevator, pressing the button. * Taki gets praised by her queen, yay. (Haruko already pushed the button!) [He glances back over his shoulder. "Yes." And continues drawing.] Which card? [Sketch sketch sketch. "The Heirophant."] * Haruko nods. "I was thinking she might be." [The elevator, she comes!] Th...thankyou. * Haruko steps on. And yes, thank you very much. * Taki goes to the elevator. * Satoshi gets onto the elevator! Yay! * Taki gets in too because she doesn't want to get left behind. [You're in the elevator!] * Haruko waits until the door closes. "So, if this is trap, there's two likely places for it to spring. First, getting the information; second, going to the drug dealers." * Haruko glances around to see if people agree. * Taki shrugs. "I... don't know." I guess? * Satoshi doesn't seem terribly confident. It does seem like she's playing us. But that doesn't mean she's wrong. Who knows? But that means the construction site is still valid. True. We might also want to check out that murder scene. They may have gone back to hanging out around there. Where there's bodies there may be towers. ...wait, what? * Taki gives Haruko a shocked look. The one way back. When we first met Arisu. And where there are towers, there are annoying people trying to not give us information. * Haruko snorts. "Apparently." * Haruko thinks for a minute. "Remember, you Katie and I woke up there. Like, two months ago." ( http://besm.sandwich.net/ARC/logs/break495.txt ) ...oh god. *There*? (Ahh, the mini that never got finished because I spilled hot chocolate on my keyboard and couldn't get a new one. That was what... three years ago in real time?) If we're checking out drug sites... It seems tower like, yeah? * Taki looks up at Satoshi in confusion. It's... it feels like *years* since that happened. Yeah. ::Haruko glances to Taki:: Drag port by Jin to the site where a student was killed. Pretty unpleasant. * Haruko frowns. "I'm worried about Jin." I haven't seen him in a while. I even kept a chicken for him. What are you talk-- After all this, we should do a reading. (GAH!) * Kaede stops himself and frowns. * Haruko looks to Kaede. "Thought?" * Taki shivers and nods. "I... " She trails off and doesn't actualy finish her thought. No, just you got to it. * Haruko nods. * Kaede shakes his head. "Always with the damned cards. Why does our life have to revolve around those cards? There's nothing that says this is all preordained. And if it is, then whatever we do is fair useless. ( Norishige says! ) [Oh, yeah, you get to the lobby of the real Tokyo Tower.] I tend to think the cards show what's likely to happen. Not what's guaranteed to happen. But at this point, our other alternative is to find out what the police know. I wonder how tight their security is. I'd expect good. We could hack, or trigger their sprinkler system and I could try sneaking in. Since Heirophant reversed knows about us, she'd probably bet on hacking. * Taki shrugs helplessly and then checks her phone before fixing the time on her watch. You think they'll only be hard copy? Evidence and some information would probably be. I'd bet most of it would be on computer. It just might be a trap for you, so I think we should consider our options. ( Whatever you decide to do, it won't be until next session. So ya know :P ) (That's fine.) ( Yup ) (Sure) Well, on the bright side, at least I have friends in jail. * Haruko chuckles. "You want to try it? If anything feels wrong, I'd suggest pulling out though." Well we don't even need to hack or anything if I could just touch the computer long enough. At least...at least I think so. I've never really tried it like that. H... how would we do that? Very carefully. * Haruko nods. "Well, maybe hack the hall of records. If we get a blueprint this would be a lot easier." Alternately, I could go in through the roof and scout the crawl spaces and such in water form. It shouldn't be that hard to find an isolated computer Taki could port Kaede to. Uhm... I... * Haruko looks at Taki and waits for her to continue. I'm... I'd rather go to someplace I know a bit betterthanjustyoutellingmeaboutit. That's possible. Insane, but possible. * Haruko nods. "How about a place with window? * Taki relaxes a bit. "I... I could do that." * Haruko nods and smiles. "Okay. And Kaede, would it have to be a computer, not just a network cable or something?" I don't know. Possibly. But it'd probably be harder through the cable. * Haruko nods. "So that's the backup option then." Haruko sends a text message to Kyon with the basic plan. "I guess we should take the subway over there. Maybe you could pull up any information you can find about the headquarters to look at on the way." We can wait for Kyon and Katie when we get there. Or quit wasting time, finish it, then report. * Haruko laughs. "Well, that's an option to. But we haven't been there before, so we're probably taking the subway anyways. Unless the headquarters is at the prison." * Taki almost sounds definate. "Subway." * Haruko grins at Taki's definite sounding. "Right." * Haruko walks that way. ( Thinking I'm gonna end soon. Did I mention I got 4 hours of sleep this morning? ) (How'd the interview the other day go?) (No, but I won't object to ending soon.) (And I was expecting that.) (No, you hadn't mentioned that.) ( It went well, though since it was for a volunteer position I don't think it counts. ) ( Ahh. Well, can get resume experience.) (Well, we can probably just end here. Say Kaede looks up basic information on the police headquarters and then tell us about it at the start of next session. (Since Haruko sent a text message and Kyon has a bike, there's no reason we can't all meet up at the start of next session.) [Session End, then!]
