[Day: Friday, April 22nd. Time: 4:20 p.m.] [You arrive in the Osaka train station! What that means is beyond me. Hiromi is with you, though. And Kaede couldn't get out of the train due to a crowd of impatient people wanting to get on, and he got stuck going to the next station. Sux2b him.] [The drug HQ is in a building in a somewhat shady part of town. Not surprising. It probably helped make it shady.] [Anything else and you're on your own. Session Start!] * Haruko grumbles and glances around again. She tries calling Eriko one more time. [No response!] * Haruko calls Ryuji. So where exactly are we going? * Taki looks at the building and fidgets with her shorter hair. [Also no response!] Curses. I hope they haven't joined the kidnapped. The headquarters. He knows. * Katie thumbs at Kyon. * Haruko puts away her phone. * Kyon adjusts his bag over his shoulder, and looks down the platform. He nods at Hiromi. "She's got the address, and so do I. Going to scout it out from afar, then decide the course of action." [Hiromi finds a convenient map of Osaka posted on a wall and points. "Here! I think it's called Yamada studios? Kind of a shabby looking corner building."] ["If you really wanna go there. I mean, I think it looks pretty dangerous, personally."] * Haruko nods. "Most certainly." It's the drug dealer headquarters. I think we can expect dangerous. We... we need to find Saki... and to stop the drugs. [Hiromi nods. "Well, good luck."] * Kyon nods quickly. "We'll be careful." He cocks his head. "Not coming along?" * Katie raises an eyebrow at Hiromi and looks her over. [Hiromi starts to say what's probably, "Fuck no!" But she stops herself midway and switches to: "Fuuuun though it might be, it's a little dangerous, don't you think? Kyon, you should just let your goons handle it and we can go to an Italian place."] * Satoshi is the Brute Squad? He looks bemused. * Katie is the least gooniest looking goon that ever gooned. * Haruko snerks. "I'll have you know I'm a lieutenant." She says that with more pride than is probably appropriate. * Taki doesn't respond. You're the only one who wants to be. Quiet you. * Kyon shrugs quickly. "Got to watch the troops. Can't just let them go in alone." He looks thoughtful. "Can you give me an update on what's going on in there before we go in?" [She nods. "Okay. I'll call you."] * Katie sticks her tongue out at Haruko when Hiromi isn't looking. (Dissension in the ranks!) * Kyon nods quickly. "Right. See you afterwards, then." [She waves. "Bye Kyon! You know, I really like you, so don't get killed, 'kay?"] * Haruko glares over at Katie and then when Hirmoi next looks away she smiles and gives an overly elaborate salute. * Kyon ignores the actions between Katie and Haruko, and waves with a smirk at Hiromi. "Yeah. I won't." He turns to the others. "Let's go." I'm hoping not getting killed is part of the plan. * Taki starts to follow Kyon. "That's... a good plan." So, if we can't figure out how to snap Saki out of it, do we just save everyone we can and run? * Kyon rolls his eyes irritatedly. "We can talk about the plan on the way. We need two." * Haruko walks. "Two?" One for if Saki's with us, and one for if she's not. What are the chances of her still being with us? * Katie shrugs. * Kyon nods curtly. "Should also prepare for our contact not being on our side. To be safe." He glances sidewise at Satoshi. "No idea what the conditions are. We'll get an update right before." Not good I'd say. I think we've got to assume that Eriko and Ryuji have been taken down. That wouldn't happen if Saki had her wits about her. * Taki nods. * Kyon looks around as he heads on out of the station. He gestures back to Haruko. "Set your phone to auto-dial them up until we get to the area. Every five minutes." * Satoshi adjusts the strap of his sports bag. * Haruko nods and does so. I'd say the big variable is, will Sho be there? * Kyon shrugs quickly. "Can decide ultimately if it's too hard to go in when we have our update. No way to know for now." Yep. Nothing to do but head for it. * Haruko nods. "Depending on the circumstance, how about we call in the police. If they just put up a field and evacuate they might be more vulnerable than defending from inside the HQ. * Haruko watches as her phone auto-dials and nods in approval. * Kyon cocks his head. "Good first move. Maybe. If they put up a field, though, cops won't help." * Taki shrugs. "Maybe... it'll keep mine from going up... or I'll take theirs down." True. And the cops will still force them to react. A field would only make the cops vanish temporarily. Unless they have some way of completely disguising what they're doing. We risk being caught if we do. [Some time later, you find yourselves in a seedy part of town. Good thing there's still daylight. Not a lot of people are on the streets, though, and those that are are homeless, drunk, on drugs, or all of the above.] * Kyon looks around the area, trying to spot where the building is from afar. * Haruko nods. "True. But I think being caught is probably the least of our worries." She grins. "No mundane jail can hold me." Unless it has sponge mops. * Taki looks at Haruko, but doesn't say anything. * Haruko looks sheepish. [Kyon spots the building. It's a dull brown building with a sign that reads "Yamada Studio," although the sign is in disarray. One of the windows has cracked glass, and it's dark inside.] * Haruko then blinks. "Wait, Satoshi zinged me. Congratulations!" She smiles proudly at him. * Katie snerks. "It's sad, when he has to be congratulated by the zingee. You just ruined the whole thing." Well, I almost succeeded. Still, it's a proud day. * Kyon nods to himself, then shoves a hand in his pocket, tugs out his cell phone, and sends a quick text message to Hiromi to do a check on the building now and then call him. [Hiromi texts back a (^A^)v] * Kyon smirks, and then rocks back on his heels, regarding the building. * Haruko double checks if her auto-dialing is doing any good. * Taki goes back to fidgeting. "What did she say?" * Kyon shrugs quickly. "She said happy face with a v." ...Oh. Should get the report soon. What's *that* supposed to mean? Victory? [Shortly, Kyon's phone rings.] * Kyon glances sidewise at Katie. "That she'll scout and call like I asked. And that she's a victorious cat." He flips open the phone. "Hey." * Kyon nods quickly. "Got it. Think I might know them. Who else?" * Kyon cocks his head. "Okay. Not clear on that one, but can check after I'm off. Who's the last one?" * Kyon closes his eyes. "Any idea what he looks like?" * Haruko twiddles her thumbs as she monitors the phone. * Kyon opens his eyes and scowls. "Right. Don't have that one, either. Get a good look at the people on the machines? There a woman, tall side, long black hair?" * Kyon nods quickly. "Hooked up to a machine?" * Katie mutters something about that being any number of people. * Haruko snickers at Katie's comment. * Kyon glances over at Katie and nods quickly. "Need to know if the woman you mentioned is also really attractive. Got to be sure this is the one we need." He looks back at the building. "What's she look like, this bound girl?" * Kyon scowls deeply. "That one, I know. Anyone else of note?" * Haruko hums a jaunty tune. * Katie looks to Haruko and says, quietly, "We know what happened to Eriko." * Haruko drops the tune and nods. "I was afraid of that." * Haruko sighs. "At least she's alive. She's not an Arcana, so she's not much good to them. Maybe they haven't figured that out yet. * Katie nods. * Taki blinks at Haruko and Katie, having missed the first part of their conversation. "They... They caught Eriko and Ryuji?" * Kyon shakes his head ruefully. "Wish I could trust they'd do it without getting themselves killed." He makes his voice a bit warmer. "No way. Just need to be sure if the one with the long black hair is the one we need to rescue. You're more than enough for me." Eriko, at least. * Taki nods. "She... can't see Ryuji?" * Haruko scowls. "Why the hell didn't they call for backup." ... This is Eriko we're talking about. Still. She's not stupid. Aside from her choice of crushes. Maybe they got caught scouting. When it comes to Saki, she *is* stupid. Have I mentioned my hatred of love? Multiple times. Good. * Taki says NOTHINK! * Kyon smirks. "Got it. So not me." * Katie rolls her eyes. "You don't hate love," she says, vaguely annoyed. * Haruko waves off Katie. "Teenage love? Can I hate that?" * Katie thinks. * Kyon looks at the building again. "Okay. Have to go now, then. Thanks for the info." Okay. * Haruko nods. "I mean, I don't hate that my parents love each other. That's cool." * Kyon nods quickly. "Right. I will. Later." * Kyon looks over the group, and smirks. "First, she wishes my goons luck." Good for us. Kyon, did you bring the Sword? * Kyon flips the phone shut and shoves it in his pocket. "Never leave it anywhere. Keep it in the sports bag." He shifts it on his shoulder. Okay, because we might need it. Fill them in. * Haruko gets her robe out of her bag. "You got the stick I made you Satoshi?" What... what's it like in there? * Satoshi holds up his bag. "Yep, in here." * Kyon rocks back on his heels. "Four people up: two in the basement with the hostages. Scyther and someone who might be chariot. Big, tall, angry-looking." Huh, sycther's working with them? That simplifies things some. Not tonight I mean, just the overall picture. * Katie nods. One on the second floor: bald guy, dealing with drugs. One on the roof: spiky silver hair, earrings, leather jacket, sleep-deprived. Don't know those two. The biker girl's in the back of the basement. Her green-haired sidekick's bound on floor two. It... it's too bad that she can't show me what she sees... I ... could just teleport people out. Hmm... do you just ... get people out? * Haruko turns off the auto-dialing. No point now. It... helps going in... I don't want to know what'd happen if... if there was something where I was trying to go. * Katie eyes Taki. The way you are, you might pass out before you *got* out. * Taki shakes her head. "I'm... not as far gone as I was... was when we I got you out." * Haruko nods. "Well, given the fire-power. Want to think things over and wait for Kaede?" That's probably a good idea. * Kyon looks sidewise at Taki. "Should keep it as a last resort." He muses for a second. "Can't see him making a difference in a fight. Need to get a diversion to pull the basement people away to get Saki out. He could help with that." * Katie takes a breath, then looks around at everyone. "I think I could stall the Chariot. If it came to that. I kept him falling over when I was kidnapped, and with the Sword for if things got too bad..." I might be able to sneak into the basement if there's a distraction. But I can't get people out. Unless we're willing to wake Saki. * Katie nods. * Kyon nods quickly. "Right. If it comes to that. We took out scythe boy before. But we should wait for the bike salesman." Yeah. Could have him knock out the electricity. Confuse things. * Taki nods. * Katie smiles grimly. "Or the lightning and water." * Haruko bites her lip. "Well, for Chariot. That's not going to kill him." * Kyon smirks. "Also an option." [Session End!]
