* Katie makes it to Kyon's fridge and opens it. She starts poking about clumsily 
for something to drink.
* Satoshi clears his throat. "Katie?"
<Katie> What?
<Satoshi> I'm really sorry about what I said earlier.  It was stupid and 
egocentric of me, and I didn't mean to hurt you.
<Satoshi> I wasn't thinking straight.
* Katie nods, still not looking over at Satoshi. "It's okay." She reaches for 
something and knocks a tupperware container to the ground.
<Satoshi> Here, lemme help you with that.
* Satoshi walks over and picks up the container.
<Satoshi> I just... I just really don't want you to be mad at me.
* Katie sobs. "'m not mad." She takes the container and puts it back in the 
fridge.
* Satoshi awkwardly reaches out a hand and touches her arm.
* Katie twitches a little, but doesn't jerk away. She slowly and carefully grabs
some applejuice with a shaking hand, then gets shuts the door.
* Satoshi looks sad. "Okay."
* Katie puts the juice on a counter and wipes at her eyes. She laughs weakly. 
"I- I just don't know anymore."
* Satoshi sighs. "Neither do I."
<Katie> It's... I mean...  I...
* Katie bursts into tears.
* Satoshi walks over to Katie and gives her a tentative hug.
* Katie turns, sobbing into Satoshi's shirt.
* Satoshi holds her tighter.
<Brett> [Satoshi's shirt gets wet.]
* Satoshi doesn't care about his shirt.
* Katie calms herself down after a bit. "I- sorry. It's just been... really 
hard."
* Satoshi shakes his head. "Don't apologize. It has been hard... and I think 
it's been harder on you than anybody else."
* Satoshi carefully lets her go.
<Brett> ( How about the poor GM? Someone give him a hug ;_; )
* Katie wipes at her eyes. "I- I don't know. You liked Taki a lot, right?" She 
laughs shakily.
<Katie> (Aww. *hugs* ;P)
<Satoshi> (hugs Brett ^_~)
<Brett> ( /me dies! Oh, the humanity! )
<Satoshi> I did, yeah.  Or, at least, I thought I did.
<Satoshi> But if this really is Taki, and she was gone all that time, then it's 
the illusion who wanted to go to the dance with me.  Maybe this one doesn't 
care.  I don't know.  And it's not important right now.
* Katie sniffs and nods. She pours herself a glass of applejuice. "I guess not."
<Satoshi> What is important is figuring out what to do now... not that I have 
any clue what that'd be.
<Katie> Yeah.
* Katie puts the juice back in the fridge, then takes her glass. "Let's go back 
out there."
<Satoshi> But... we'll do it together.
<Satoshi> Yeah.
* Satoshi follows Katie out of the kitchen.
