[Day: Thursday, Februrary 13th. Time: 2:50 p.m.] [Weather: Cool and snowy.] [Yesterday.... I forget what happened.] [Just kidding! Yesterday, most of you went to talk to the computer club.] [Except Katie, 'cause she always has to make things difficult for me by splitting up x.x] (I'm so nice. ^_^) [Anyhow, you found Eriko standing outside the computer club for some reason. Kyon tried to give Hirokazu the Arcana test, but he didn't take it. And the comp. club are a bunch of perverts.] [Today, you all gather at (can you guess?) The lockers, where you notice a distinct lack of Satoshi.] [Session Start] * Katie hums to herself, opening her locker and freeing books from their captivity. * Kaede sits down on the floor against the metal of the locker, grumbling as he looks at the computer screen, shifting his cheek from one palm to the other. * Haruko skips along stopping at the lockers when she sees the usual suspects. * Taki walks down the hall from her class untill she reaches the usual spot, "Hi Haruko, Kaede." * Kaede closes the flatscreen of his laptop and looks up, sighing as he pushes his glasses back up his nose. "Well, I guess I'm not going to get anywhere with this. Greetings, Taki." What'cha trying to find? Doesn't really matter..the connection's down..they really need to check the maintainance on these things.. * Haruko nods and smiles at Taki in acknowledgment, and then proceeds to bury her nose in a Japanese equivelent of Car and Driver. * Kaede raps his fingers against the plastic of the laptop, then slips it into his kaban, folding his legs and resting his chin in his palm again. * Taki looks around, "Where's everybody else?" Hm? * Kaede stands up slowly, dusting off his slacks and shaking his head. * Katie looks around. "Well, Kyon's probably doing student council stuff." * Katie closes her locker and has a seat. Satoshi... no clue. * Haruko paces a bit, then remembers how dangerous it is to pace when she's not paying attention and leans against a locker. Hmm, hopefully they arn't in trouble. I'd say they'd held him over for more practice, but I would think Taki would be called too. I have no idea. * Taki nods. Mmm, well, maybe he just stayed home sick or something. * Katie opens her sketchbook and starts in on it. * Kyon comes around the corner, carrying his bag, and a significantly reduced stack of papers. Only seem to be about 20 or so of them now. Then maybe we should add him to our list of people we bring flowers too, I hope not though. * Kyon stops a couple lockers down, and drops his bag. He surveys the group, and nods a greeting to them. * Kaede picks his kaban off the floor and looks up. "Oh, hello Kyon. Glad you could make it." 'Afternoon, Kyon. Have you seen Satoshi anywhere? * Katie glances up at Kyon. "Nice to see you have less work now," she comments. As long as he has his cell phone, he should be fine...he can always call.. * Haruko flips a page and her eyes widen. Those with good hearing can tell she's muttering something about a nearly single piece engine. * Kaede frowns suddenly but shakes off the thought, adjusting his glasses. * Kyon shakes his head tersely. "Haven't seen him." He hesitates for a second, then sits on the floor next to his bag, then puts the papers down on the floor in front of him. * Katie looks up from what she's doing and over to the papers. "Need help with that?" Is that work anything interesting or just standard needless destruction of trees? * Kyon smirks. "Preliminary requests for new computers, festival setup and applications for stands from clubs, mostly. Don't see yours here, though." * Kaede blinks. "There needed to be an application?" * Kaede rubs his temples and sits back against the locker. "No one tells me anything..of course.." * Kyon rolls his eyes. "It's the council. There's always an application. Haven't done this sort of thing before, have you." * Katie blinks. * Haruko flips a few more pages then biefly holds the magazine vertically, before boring of it and putting it down. * Kaede looks sternly at Kyon. "I didn't even know when the event was and you expect me to know the protocol.." Ah, well. I didn't know I needed to apply. This early, in any event. Isn't it the vice presidents job to make sure those who are interested know what they need to do? * Kyon shrugs. "Still time for it. These are just the really early ones." So pleased you decided to tell us..where do we pick these applications up then? [Anyone paying close attention notices one is deffinately Chikako's information stand :P] Festival's not for a while. And it's not my job to tell everyone everything. * Kyon holds up Chikako's application. "It's hers." He smirks. You could at least tell your friends. Or as you put it, allies. * Katie grins. Well. I guess I'll just need to get one and fill it out. * Kyon shrugs. "There are some in the student council room. Can go by later and pick them up. I don't have any blank ones with me." It's alright, I'll go. * Kaede looks at Katie. "I'll get one for you too..I'll be back in a bit." Bye Kaede. See ya. * Kyon waves sarcastically. "The President should still be in there. Ask him." Thanks, Kaede. * Katie goes back to sketching. [About now, Chikako comes along!] * Kyon looks up from the papers, and nods to Chikako. "Hey." Hi Chikako. * Chikako waves. "Hi everyone! I brought the papers! They're so cool!" * Haruko waits for Kaede to wander off then glances at Kyon. "You know, he's coming out of his shell to do this, its even in your interest to be less discouraging... Oh, hey Chikako." That's cool, can I see one? * Chikako blinks. "What's discouraging?" * Chikako hands one to Taki! * Kyon looks sidewise at Haruko. "I'm not going out of my way to spite him. He's getting the same treatment as everyone else." He turns back to Chikako. "What's cool today?" Thanks. ::reads:: * Katie grins. "Hi Chikako." Can I look at one, too? * Chikako hands people papers. "It's Valentine's tomorrow. That's cool!" * Haruko looks ready to respond but holds her tongue, and instead asks for a newspaper. Yeah, it is. * Katie starts reading. ^^ * Kyon takes one, and flips it open to read. [There's a book-signing for noted author Kensuke Sorazawa. Aside from that, there's the usual reminder for the festival, a buncha sports junk, and a review on the Ramen stand outside Sakuragaoka. And on the last page is this statement: "Do you know who YOU are getting chocolates for tomorrow?"] * Taki puts her paper under one arm and counts on her fingers for a bit, "...Yep, I think I've got everybody." * Chikako grins cheerily as you read. * Katie chuckles as she nods. "Mine aren't ready just yet, but yeah. I'm still wondering if I should give Ken something or not." An evil glint enters her eye. * Haruko skims the paper, going through a bit faster than usual. Give him a radish! That'd be so cool! * Kyon raises his eyebrows at the book signing, then reads quickly through the rest. He merely glances at the thing about the chocolates. * Kaede walks down the hall calmly, papers in tow, making his way back towards the lockers. I've got some lemon juice if you want. * Kyon looks oddly at Chikako. "Why a radish? Wouldn't tabasco filled chocolate be more appropriate?" I've gotten all of mine, went shopping yesterday. But radishes are cool! * Katie cackles, an odd sound coming from her. "Chocolate tobasco filled radishes." * Chikako checks her watch. "I gotta get back to work." Aww. Okay, Chikako. * Kyon looks coolly at Katie, then nods to Chikako. "Later." * Haruko waves. "See ya Chikako." Sounds like fun to make, bye Chikako! * Chikako looks "coolly" at everyone. "Cool, later!" She dashes off! * Kyon folds the paper, rests it on his bag, and looks up and down the hall. Anyway, I was thinking of just getting him ordinary chocolate. Me doing that has got to be the biggest insult he's recieved all year. * Katie ponders. * Haruko ponders a bit. "Not necessarily..." She then shrugs. * Katie looks over at Haruko. "Hmm?" * Taki nods, "We don't realy have time to make a chocolate radish anyway...next year though..." * Haruko shakes her head. "Nothing, just speculation with far too little evidence to be meaningful." No, go on. I'm curious now. * Kyon nods to himself, then reaches into his pockets and palms his tarot cards. * Haruko furrows her brow. "Give me a sec to figure things out." * Kyon listens to the conversation as he draws out the cards and shuffles them. * Taki politly waits. * Haruko glances up at Katie. "Would you say Ken has the maturity and temperment of a grade schooler?" * Kyon spreads out the papers a bit, then shuffles one more time and sits crosslegged in front of them. * Haruko plays with her hair and waits for a response. * Kaede takes the time to look over the application, looking at what he needs to fill in. A grade schooler? Hmm... that might be giving him too much credit. * Kyon moves the conversation to the side of his mind, and takes a deep breath. He blows it out, and flips over a card, putting it on the far left of the papers. * Haruko grins. "Anyways. Strange that he has a different girl each week, or so I've been told by guys whining about how girls want bad boys instead of nice guys, but he's been fixated on you for a while." [Kyon draws the Eight of Cups.] He also made a crack about your 'boyfriend' when we saw him at the subway. * Katie frowns a little. "Ken and Taro... really don't get along. Not that it's a surprise." * Kyon nods, takes another breath, and flips over the next card, laying it up and to the right of the first card. Though you have a point there. He did remember my name when he couldn't remember his own floozy's. * Haruko looks confused for a sec. "No, I meant that he said the bum was your boyfriend, but him not liking Taro would fit too." * Haruko nods. * Kaede looks up curiously for a moment, but doesn't say anything as he takes out a pen for the application. You don't mean... aww, no. * Katie laughs. "No way." * Kaede doesn't look up but finally decides to respond. "Well aren't little boys who like girls kind of rough on them?" [Kyon draws the Queen of Cups.] * Haruko shrugs. "The whole anti-gaijin thing could just be a psycological device of his, a sort of pathetic defense mechanism." You admitted yourself that he's possible grade-school mentality..maybe younger.. * Kaede shrugs and goes back to his work. * Haruko grins. "If I'm right, one way or another, giving him straight chocolate would drive him up the wall. Although not quite the way you might expect." * Katie frowns. "Pathetic fits pretty well." * Kyon looks sharply at Haruko, then breathes in and out a couple times deeply, and lays a third card down below the second one. [Kyon draws the Wheel of Fortune.] * Taki shakes her head, "At least he doesn't sit behind you and pull on your hair." He can't. He's not in any of my classes. * Kyon looks at it, cocks his head, and lays the fourth card to the right of the second one. * Haruko glances back at Kyon, confused, then looks back at Katie. "Then again, this could be so much psychobabble, a negative consequence of my actually paying attention in a psycology class." * Kaede blows slightly on the application to allow it to dry. Yeah, but you make a good point. No chocolate for Ken. * Haruko smiles slightly and actually looks mildly embarrassed. * Katie taps her chin some more. Though I really want to... oh, heck. Why not take the risk? * Katie grins. * Katie hums and twirls her pencil, starting a new sketch. * Haruko grins. "Sure, just be prepared. Just don't be surprised if he goes off and tries to punch Taro or something, you might want to give him a heads up." * Taki shrugs, "I wasn't going to give him anything, but I want to see what happens when you do." Haruko, he's already *tried* that. Oh? * Katie frowns a little. "Succeeded, too." Yeah. When? Taro and Ken got in a fight in Tokyo Tower. Huh. * Katie rolls her eyes. "Ken told me that Taro was 'bad news' or something." * Kaede walks over to Kyon, trying his best to not listen to the girls' plotting and puts down the application. "I hate to give you more paperwork.." * Kyon ignores Kaede for the moment, focusing on the fourth card, to the right of the second one he put down. [Kyon next draws everyone's happyfriend, Judgement.] * Kaede turns around, giving a glance at the cards but going back to his seat. * Katie glances up at that card. She frowns a little. "Anyway, Taro yelled back, and they got in a fight." * Haruko ponders a bit. "That would definately fit. Fortunately he'd probably say that about any potential boyfriend so even if he was looking out for you in a weird way it wouldn't mean anything." * Kyon narrows his eyes, and flips over another card, laying it below the fourth card, to the right of the third one. * Katie laughs. [Kyon draws the 4 of Cups, reversed.] * Haruko frowns. "Stupid boys and their fights." She then pauses to glance at Kyon. "Not that girls seem any better lately." Kyon? No, he just gets attacked by all the girls. ( He's got girl magnet! :P ) (I don't think that's what he meant. ;P) * Kaede takes out his notebook and flips it over, his eyes calmly gazing at the paper which conveniently hides his expression. * Kyon blinks again. Then lays out the last card up and to the right of the fifth card. Most of us don't attack him. Most... [Kyon's final card is Three of Wands, reversed] * Haruko nods, "Most of us have sense and aren't prone to violence. Shame that isn't true of more people." * Kyon stares at the card. Then he looks over the layout again. ( Three faceless ninja suddenly assault the group for no reason :P ) (faceless ninja mimes!) * Katie takes a look at the spread, noticing the Eight of Cups and Judgement. "What's it say?" she asks with worry. * Haruko glances down at the spread. "Oooh! I'm in it, that's me right? Is this a bad thing?" * Taki looks over, "I'm going to have to learn to read these some day...What's it mean?" * Kyon shakes his head as if to clear it, and thinks hard for a second before pointing to the first card. "That's the problem I'm trying to solve." I forget but I believe one's far past, near past, present, obstacles, future and the overall signifier..though that might have been used in Mahjongg. * Kyon looks at Kaede and smirks. "Different spread. This one's for problems." * Haruko kneels down on the other side of the spread. "So what's this one mean?" Okay, so how does the spread work? * Kaede looks around his notepad "So it is." (Just checking, cards were 8 of cups, Q of cups, Wheel of Fortune, Judgement, 4 of cups (rev), 3 of wands (rev) did I get the order right and am I missing anything?) Well, we know two are definite problems... the Wheel of Fortune and Judgment. * Kyon looks them over again, and points in turn to the second and third cards. "Two options." He points to the fourth card. "What comes from option 1." He looks hard at Haruko. ...Or we just rely on luck? * Haruko tilts her head. "So I'm judgment now? What's the third card position mean?" * Kyon turns back to the cards, and points to the fifth card. "What comes of option 2." And then to the last one. "The likely end to the problem." He swears under his breath in Chinese. ( Yeah. It's Haruko's turn to be Judgement. ) What do the last two mean reversed? ( So much for her no enemies steak ) ( Streak, a no enemies steak is likely to be ineffective against vegetarians and thus not suited to our modern world. ) That's what I'm wondering. Don't keep us in the dark here, Kyon. Also, what's the problem? The disappearances? I think the problem is the disappearance of Reiji, but I'm just guessing. * Kyon looks sidewise at Haruko. "Problem is that Reiji's gone, and no one I've talked to knows why." Judgement, maybe. * Katie leans back and sighs. "I promised Kyoko I'd try to help, but I'm not sure where to start." So...Haruko may be able to find Judgement. Either that or it'll catch Judgement's attention and call it on us. * Kaede frowns. "Neither seem very promising to me.." * Haruko nods. "I don't see how I would be an option but go on, it's a worthy cause." It may be a hidden power still, Haruko. * Kyon looks over the layout again. "This should mean that the Queen here has a way to lead us to Reiji, but to get to it, we'll be affected by Judgment in some way." * Haruko looks a bit less confused. "Oh right, Reiji is the problem, I'm option one, sorry, I misheard you Kyon. I get it now." * Kaede shakes his head. "So what's option 2? We leave it to chance it sounds like..that or somehow the Wheel will bring him back to us.." But what are the consequences? And we aren't affected by Judgement already? Everyone keeps thinking it's me. * Kyon looks over the cards again. "The second option is then the Wheel. Which could either be its general sense, or that it will come from someone new showing up in Tokyo." * Katie frowns at the spread. She points at the last card. "So what does that mean?" Someone new? How does that work ::looks down at the reversed cards:: One card at a time, Katie..we still should know what the second option will encompass.. The way I get it, Taki, is the Wheel of Fortune is what's gathering all the Arcana around Tokyo Tower. * Kyon looks sidewise irritatedly at Taki. "Don't remember what I told you when I met you?" Uhm...what Katie just said? So..a new Arcana comes that leads us to Reiji..or somehow some information shows up by chance that we can find him ourselves..or he escapes on his own.. * Kyon nods again. "So that could be the meaning of this. Four of Cups, usually that's a sign that you need moderation. Your life is full of happiness, but if you take it for granted, it spills away." (RDM needs to spend some time rereading the logs ^^;;) * Haruko leans back on her legs and thinks for a while. Moderation. Hm. * Kyon taps a finger on the card. "Don't realize it, but it's there. And reversed... could be that you don't have enough, you need more. Or it could be you've already lost it." * Katie shifts and sets her chin on one knee. * Haruko closes her eyes. "Judgement isn't necessarily a bad thing, right? I assume it has just been showing up often in readings relating to the disapperances." * Kaede writes something down again. "So..what about that last one?" * Kyon shifts his weight. "That's the thing. Don't know if they mean this in a general sense, or just as the Arcana. The people. Judgment from a non-Arcana point isn't always bad." * Katie nods, still thinking. "It's change, but not a violent one like the Tower." Non-violent change could simply refer to Reiji coming back...it'd be a risk though in case it IS the Arcana.. So from one point of view...We use our intuition and find him...and he'll be changed a bit...From the other if Haruko does something to find him Judgement comes down on us? * Kyon shrugs. "Possibly. Or we have to fight Judgment. Or find out more about it." He stares at the last card. "Or bring it down on someone else." * Kaede taps his pen against the notepad slowly. "Is that what it means? * Haruko frowns for a second. "There are two other possibilities Taki, one of the cards could be specific while the other is general." How exactly is that last one interpretted? * Katie taps her pencil on the floor. "I don't like this, but a clear reading would be too much to hope for." * Kyon stirs again. "Three of Wands... for general, it's perseverance, or fulfillment in partnership, or self-confidence." Reversed, it could be continuing hardship, or betrayal. A break in how you see yourself, of some sort. Sounds right up Kyoko's alley. ... That too, almost. * Taki nods slowly. * Kaede shakes his head and looks at Katie. "Fortune tellers stay in business for the sole reason that the readings are vague... they can be applied to a lot." * Haruko rocks back and forth a bit and talking to herself. "Not that I understand how I could be an option, but I suppose it is my problem to figure it out." * Kyon taps it. "In the Arcana sense... that's Kyoko. And I haven't drawn reversed Arcana for people before." He scowls, then shuffles the remaining cards and concentrates for a moment. * Katie sighs and looks over at Kaede. "I know that. But we're not trying to stay in business here." * Kaede frowns. "So possibly, even if we save him, he could betray us? Or feel we betrayed him?" Or it may be more general.. Or his sister tries to kill us again. And that would be something new, too? I think, either way, we have to take a risk. Do *something*. * Kyon shuffles, and lays out a card below the others. If we do do something, it seems Haruko is the best way to go about...except.. I mean, if we don't do anything Kyoko is going to get mad at us. * Kaede looks up from his notebook. "You said that it doesn't have to be the Arcana..it could be a general sense..is there a general way the Queen could be applied here? [Kyon draws the Knight of Wands] * Katie blinks. "Jiro." * Kyon shakes his head. "Not useful." I haven't seen him since before I left. * Kyon looks back over his shoulder at Kaede. "Could mean that we just use intuition and observation to get to a solution." I have, Taki. And something's just... wrong with him now. ( He seems less "Huh?" and more "I'm gonna kill you." now :P ) What's the Knight of Wands stand for anyway? * Kyon rolls his shoulders. "It's not part of the spread. I wanted to see something." * Haruko opens her eyes. "Kyon, if we decide to try my option, assuming I am an option. Perhaps you could tell me everything you know about Reiji. I have no idea how to help at this point." * Kyon cocks his head. "Need to think about what this means more. If it goes that way, I will." * Haruko nods. "That sounds wise, your telling me could be enough to commit us to that path." But..if we wait the Wheel could come into play.. * Kaede frowns. [Inconveniently, a bunch of you notice Taro coming down the hall!] * Kyon looks down at the Wheel of Fortune. "Someone new, and reversed coming in, could be dangerous." It looks like a usual damned if we do, damned if we don't situation.. * Taki blinks. * Kaede blinks. "What if.." He quiets down as he notices someone approaching. * Katie looks up, smiles, and waves. "Hi Taro." * Kyon doesn't really pay attention. On a whim, he just pulls the top card off the deck. * Kaede looks up at the name and pushes his glasses up with his index finger, focusing on Taro. * Taki looks Taro over and tries to figure out which one he is, and then decideds it doesn't matter to her, "Hi Taro." * Taro spies everyone and his hand instinctively goes to the back of his head. "Oh, hi everyone." Where were you yesterday? I didn't see you in class or at practice. * Haruko glances up as Taro and tries to remember if she's actually met him in person before. I wasn't feeling well, so... * Kaede goes back to his notes without much of a word. ( Haruko has not! ) ( I don't think Kaede has, either. ) (Nope...though he got lead up to the Kendo room. ^_^;) [Kyon draws the Moon.] * Haruko stands up, but lets Katie talk to her boy for a bit. * Taro looks at everyone, then back to Katie. "These are your friends?" ( Come to think of it, I don't think Taki's met him, either. ) * Kyon scowls fiercely, then scoops up all the cards. He shuffles them together, and flips off the first one. [Kyon draws the Queen of Wands.] * Kaede puts the notebook away and immediately bows in greeting. "Kaede Takeuchi. It's nice to meet you for the first time." * Kyon nods, and jams them in his pocket. He stands up, and looks over Taro quickly before nodding at him. * Taro bows too. "Taro Nishizaka." * Kaede pulls his notebook back out and goes back to poking it with the pen as he peruses it. * Haruko also bows "Haruko Kinsha. Pleasure to meet you." * Taro looks to Kyon. "You went to the dance with Chikako, right?" * Katie blinks and snaps out of it. "Yeah, these are my friends. I don't think I've introduced you to some of them before, though." She smiles sheepishly. * Kaede shakes his head and makes another note. * Kyon nods tersely. It'd be nice to get to know them. * Taro looks from Haruko to Kaede. "And you two are going out, I take it?" * Katie chuckles. * Kaede drops the notebook as his eyes widen. "Wha..what are you talking about? What gave you THAT idea?" * Haruko tilts her head a bit, but then giggles at Kaede's reaction, glad he saved her the trouble of an awkward reply. * Taro blinks, then rubs the back of his neck. "Well, I just figured you hang out together, so...." * Katie grins at Kaede. "You don't need to be offended. Haruko's nice." * Kaede blushes deeply as he realizes just what he said. "...well, no. But still, that's jumping a bit far.." I mean I hang around Katie just as much, but you know that she's going out with you... * Katie glances down at her unfinished sketch, then closes the book. At least..that's what I've heard... * Taro chuckles a bit and rubs his head. "Yeah, she's mine, so I knew there couldn't be anything between you." * Kaede stops himself before he mimics Taro. * Katie smiles at that. "Anyway, Kaede isn't going out with anyone right now. As far as I know, anyway." Oh. ..No..I rather think Katie's her own and she chooses to spend most of her time with you..I wouldn't place ownership on any person. * Kyon nods, and smirks at Kaede. "He hasn't met the right person yet." Um... If you say so. * Katie facepalms. "I don't think he meant it that way, Kaede." * Kaede looks coldly at Kyon. "I told you. Relationships are a waste of time..and energy sometimes too." Anyhow, I'm in a hurry, but it's nice to meet you. * Haruko stops giggling and coughs. "Nice to meet you to, thanks for the amusing assumptions." She grins to show that the comment is not a sarcastic one. * Kaede looks over to Taro and bows his head. "We wouldn't want to keep you. It was a pleasure to meet you." See you, Taro. Try to call me later, okay? I need to get some of that equipment Ryuji was talking about, and I'm not sure where to start. It's nice to meet you too, and someday I may manage to introduce myself. * Taro walks around the group, blushing a bit. He nods to Katie. "Yeah, I'll do that." * Kyon shakes his head bemusedly at Kaede, and looks back to Taro. "And get your captain to submit his forms for the festival." * Taro heads for the doors. "Nice meeting you", he says again. * Katie grins and waves. She never did manage to stand up during that whole exchange. * Kaede looks at Katie for a moment, blinking. "Did..I say something wrong?" * Haruko shakes her head, leans back against a locker and laughs a bit. * Katie chuckles, too. "You just... you're impossible, Kaede." * Taki smiles at Kaede, "Someday you'll figure it out." [Session End]
