* Kaede keeps heading out to where Saki went, trying to spot her, going faster 
and faster as he goes.
<Brett> [Heading outside, they see Saki already halfway to the lot where her 
bike is parked.  She doesn't have the paper anymore.]
<Katie> Kaede, we're not going to keep up with her!
* Katie walks faster as well, though, trying to catch up with the boy.
* Kaede runs faster when he sees her, narrowing his eyes, calling out. "Wait! 
Where are you going?"
<Kaede> It doesn't matter.  Getting through is more important than keeping up.
* Kaede calls out again. "Saki, wait!"
* Saki casts a glance over her shoulder. "What?"
<Kaede> I said where are you going?
<Kaede> It's not going to help anything going after people at random as long as 
the source is still around.
* Saki raises an eyebrow at Kaede, as though wondering why on earth he'd ask 
that question anyhow. "What's it to ya?"
* Kaede narrows his eyes again. "Because we want those bastards as much as you I 
imagine..."
<Kaede> After all, I think it's pretty obvious now that they're after us.
* Saki shrugs. "Could be."
* Katie stops near Kaede and looks at Saki. "What's the harm in telling us?"
* Kaede looks up at Saki's eyes, just staring as Katie fills in his words for 
him.
* Saki has purty blue eyes.
* Kaede has purty hazel eyes. :P
* Katie has purty gray eyes. Go us.
<Saki> 'Cause maybe they're not.  Maybe they were after me.  Or maybe they just 
wanted to cause mayhem for no reason.
<Saki> People like that do exist.  Hell, maybe I'm one of them.
<Katie> I don't know, Saki.  That's the second drug related attack I've been in.
<Kaede> I don't believe in coincidences, Saki.
<Saki> That's because the drugs are all over the place.
<Saki> You think you're the only ones affected?  There's a lot more to this than 
the media'll tell you.
<Kaede> Yes, but do you really honestly believe this was just a random attack?  
That they wouldn't have been ordered to assault this place for more drugs?
* Kaede narrows his eyes at Saki, scowling under his breath. "Well, the key 
thing to do is enlighten us then. Seems we're in the dark in a lot. And being in 
the dark gets you killed that much easier."
* Saki shrugs again. "Probably were."
* Saki turns to fully face Kaede. "Enlighten you, huh?"
<Kaede> I don't appreciate not knowing what's going on.  Not in the slightest.
* Kaede doesn't break eye-contact with Saki, holding firm.
<Saki> Well boo-hoo.
<Kaede> You never know when we may know something you don't, Morikawa-san.
<Saki> Yeah, well.
<Kaede> Do you respect Kyon?
* Saki smirks. "Respect?"
<Kaede> That's what I asked
* Saki scowls. "I know what you asked. Don't treat me like a moron, or you'll 
regret it."
* Kaede pushes his glasses up his nose. "I don't think you're a moron. I don't 
try to speak rationally to morons. I'm speaking with you."
* Katie frowns at the exchange, then speaks up. "Kaede, mind letting me talk?"
* Kaede turns slowly to Katie, nodding a bit, stepping back.
* Saki lifts her head up and looks down at Katie, one hand on her hip. "Smart."
* Katie shakes her head and looks to Saki. "I just want to know why you won't 
tell us."
<Brett> [And Satoshi and Taki come out of the school. Back to the first
