[And over here, Camera 3 is following Kyon, who's off to see Chikako, the wonderful Editior of the Oz(fice. Ozfice. Get it? Ok, that was lame).] [And he finds her there, too, because he's paying attention to that (wo)man (not) behind the curtain.] [Start!] * Chikako is in the office editing articles for tomorrow's paper. * Kyon stops in front of the office door, then opens it smoothly and takes a couple steps in. He waves curtly at her. * Chikako looks up. "Kyon! Cool! I didn't see you with the others today." * Kyon takes another couple steps in, and moves to the wall, turning his back to it. "Yeah. Council business. And then some calls I had to make. Saw them as they were leaving, though. Said you wanted me." Oh. It's cool, I just didn't see you down there, so I was wondering. * Kyon smirks. "I'm tagged to them now?" Huh? (Yeah, we branded you.) * Kyon shakes his head bemusedly, and presses one of his shoulders up the wall. "Think I have to be with them?" * Chikako thinks about that for a sec. "Well... why not? They're cool." * Kyon moves a hand quickly through his hair. "Wouldn't go that far." He looks at her sidewise. "Don't have to share everything with everyone." Well, no, but.... * Chikako tilts her head. "I just think it's cool to be with friends." * Kyon smirks, looking away a bit. "Friends." He pushes off the wall, and stalks over towards Chikako's desk. "Hear you met someone while I was gone." Uh huh! I meet lots of people. Meeting people is cool! * Kyon shakes his head quickly. "Someone a lot like me?" * Chikako tilts her head. "Well, there was this guy who looked like you, but Katie said it wasn't you, so that's not cool." * Kyon nods quickly. "Know anything about him?" * Chikako shakes her head. "Nope! I tried to find out, but... well, he acted like you so... That's kinda cool." * Kyon smirks and leans forward, looking down at her. "That cool? Maybe we should get him back." * Chikako blinks. "How?" * Kyon waves a hand quickly. "Nothing. No idea where he went, then? Haven't heard reports of someone else like me in school since I've been back." That's 'cause he was only here while you weren't. But he had to go somewhere since I came back. * Chikako nods. "He's got a cool mind." * Kyon jams his hands in his pockets. "Yeah. Sure does. No ideas where he went, then?" * Chikako shakes her head. * Kyon pushes off the desk a bit with his legs, then settles back against it. "Katie mentioned him giving you something." * Chikako blinks a few times. "Oh! He gave me a plushi! It's so cool! I'll bring it in tomorrow." * Kyon nods curtly. "Cool." He blinks once, and then looks off to the side a bit, pressing his hands further into his pockets. * Chikako nods back. "Cool!" * Kyon looks back at her sidewise, smiling somewhat awkwardly. "You want to do something later this week?" Sure, that'd be cool. What? * Kyon shrugs quickly. "Don't really care. Was thinking Sunshine City." ( Huhwha? ) (Big mall/movie theater/hang out place in Ikebukuro. Popular date spot. Could go with Odaiba instead, if you want. =P) ( They're all the same to me :P ) That'd be so cool! * Kyon nods quickly. "Saturday?" Cool. * Kyon nods sharply again, then reshoulders his bag and pushes off the desk. "Anything else now?" Um... I dunno. I guess it's cool. * Kyon nods, and gives her the awkward, crooked smile again. "Right. Later." He stalks away towards the door and out. * Chikako waves. "Cool! Bye!" [When Kyon reaches the stairs, he spots Saki coming down from the roof.] * Chikako is now known as Saki * Kyon stops, and looks up at her, waiting. * Saki glances sideways at Kyon but doesn't say anything. * Kyon rocks back on his heels and looks at her coolly. "Been a while." * Saki nods shortly. "Guess so." Hear about the supposed drug party yesterday? Bits and pieces. I suspect it has to do with the missing student. * Kyon shrugs disinterestedly. "Maybe that was their reason. Or stopping the ice girl, those two reasons together. Just wanted to see what I could pick up." Either way, nothing got done. I'm heading there now to fix that. * Kyon adjusts his bag across his back. "Not my fault nothing got done; ice girl broke up the party." He turns around to face down the hall. "I'll come along." * Saki heads down the stairs. "Yeah, I heard about that too. It bothers me." * Kyon takes the steps two at a time. "Yeah. Completely beyond reason. Bit the..." He pauses as he takes three steps instead of two, and continutes, "Ace when he tried to hold her back." * Saki reaches the bottom of the stairs. "That's not what I meant. Already knew she was a junkie. What bothers me is why someone would send her to kill another supplier." * Kyon slows his stride a bit to look at her sidewise. "The Five is a supplier?" Which one's the Five? The ice girl. The one the bike salesman was so conflicted about. * Saki mumbles, "Stupid cards..." She shakes her head as she opens the front doors. "Nah, she's just a junkie. Hell, you were there soon after she got her first dose. The rich kid's the supplier." * Kyon nods quickly. "Yeah. You think someone sent her to do that?" * Saki nods. "It's all too obvious. The big question is 'Why?'" * Kyon jams his hands in his pockets as he strides. "Turf war? The guy we sent to prison, maybe his clientele hasn't settled yet." My first thought. It's possible, but doesn't seem to fit here. * Saki shrugs. "No point in worrying about it now, though." * Kyon nods quickly. "Having more information will settle things out more." * Saki nods. She starts towards her bike. "A little late for the party, but I'm sure they won't mind." * Kyon nods curtly, and stops on the way to his. "Meet near there?" * Saki nods without looking back. [End in here!]
