[Yet more meanwhile! You're all at a tea house!] [Start!] * Katie walks right into the teahouse, though she never realized she entered. She looks up, blinks, and jumps. "What the hell!" * Satoshi is sitting at a table. He hears Katie's voice and then looks up. "Hi, Katie... wait a sec. What are you doing here? What am *I* doing here?" * Katie looks at him oddly. "I thought you were going home." She holds her head. "I thought *I* was going... home. I need to sit down." And she stumbles over to do just that. * Taki looks up from where she's sitting on a bench near the door and was reading a fantasy novel, "How'd you get into my apar..apar...Since when did I have a restruant in my living room?" * Satoshi blinks. "There's a field up. That might explain things." * Katie just holds her head. "I bet. Oh look, Taki's invited, too." * Taki folds the corner of the page she's on and puts the book down, "...This is going to be a very bad day..." It wasn't the best of days already. * Katie mutters something and stifles a yawn. "Yeah. Universe is conspiring against us. I know." * Taki stands up and streaches and takes a few steps twords Satoshi before she stops and looks down at her bare feet, "Great..." Can't the univers give me a chance to put my shoes back on before it toys with us? * Katie grins. "That'd be too good for you." * Satoshi stands up, goes to a window, and peers out. * Taki looks overly thoughtfull for a second, "True...true.." * Katie glances at her watch, which was changed to a quartz one as opposed to digital, and goes back to cradling her head. ( Katie's head is kept nice and warm until it hatches. ) (Yay, a lady with a spear and a shield pops out!) (No delusions of grandeur here! ;p) (not at all.) * Satoshi sighs and sits back down. "So. We play the waiting game?" That or walk off. I'm for the second one. * Taki shurgs, "Last time I tried to get out of a field it didn't work so well...and I'm going to have a hard time walking around with these." * Taki lifts one of her feet. Sorry. Maybe we should all start carrying spare pairs of shoes around in case of abductions. * Satoshi may or may not be serious. It's hard to tell from his tone of voice. I'd keep them in my backpack, but I don't have that with me either. * Katie looks at her watch. "Five minutes." And then you want to go? I'll give whoever it is five minutes. [Jin walks into the room, in one hand is an egg; in the other is apparently a cinnamon stick. He holds the cinnamon out to Taki.] * Katie looks at Jin. "Huh." * Taki blinks...and then accepts the cinnamon stick, "...Thanks." * Satoshi waves to Jin. [Jin waves an egg at Satoshi.] * Katie points at Jin with a pen. "Think he caused it?" Possible. Not that he could tell us if he did, though. So...Jin, next time you decide that you need my help? Could you give me enough time to at least put my shoes on? "Um.... I'm not sure." Thanks. "You're welcome." * Katie stands, grabbing her satchel as she does so. "That's it, I'm leaving." And she walks off, towards the exit. * Taki watches Katie leave, "Ah...." * Satoshi waits. [Katie walks out the exit! Five second later, she walks back in.] * Taki blinks, "Something out there?" * Katie looks around, let's out a little scream of frustration, and storms over to flop back on the chair. ...I'll... go make you some tea. Whatever. At the very least, I should've at least been able to bring some of my homework along. * Taki sets off twords the kitchen in search of supplies and some water that's still hot. * Satoshi sighs. * Katie puts her head in her hands again. "You can do mine." You bring it? * Katie shrugs off her satchel and shoves it to Satoshi, all the while not looking up. * Satoshi takes it and sets it on his lap, but doesn't open it. (So, Brett is there any hot water in the place, or do they only serve green tea that's made at the table according to tradition?) [There doesn't seem to be any hot water available.] (No hot water? Geez. Barbarians!) (Really.) [Jin leaves!] * Taki walks back still holding her cinnamon, "So much for that bright idea...I suppose I could try cold brewing...but I hope we arn't here long enough for that to work." * Katie looks up, sees him go, and gets to her feet. She picks her satchel up from Satoshi's lap and tries leaving again. ... Yeah. * Satoshi gets up and follows. [Katie leaves! Five seconds later, she comes back.] * Katie stops and sighs. Okay, so that didn't work. [Satoshi bumps into Katie as she comes back in.] Ow! Sorry. I thought since Jin was getting out, we might be able to as well. * Taki rubs her face. Yeah, me too. But either he's keeping us here, or he can just ignore these sorts of things. ( You can! You just have to change your name to Jin! ) * Katie goes over to sit. "He ignores anything that makes sense." (Ahh, so it's a Jin passing zone.) ...I'll go look for a strainer then shall I? * Taki goes back to the kitchen to look for things she'll need. * Katie groans and slumps forward on the table, putting her head in her arms. * Satoshi leans back and closes his eyes. ( Hearing rolls, everyone! +1 ) * Katie doesn't move from her position. "Someone's coming. About time." * Satoshi sits up. * Taki comes back again, "Finaly." [In comes Jin, followed by everyone's favorite British guy. Not Sean Connery, not Winston Churchill, but something in between.] * Katie props her head up on her hand as he enters, her gaze settling on him. * Satoshi stands up and gives Winston a brief bow. "Didn't expect to see you here, sir." * Taki grins and waves far to chearfully at the two Arcana, "Hi, we seem to be stuck." I don't suppose you'd know what's going on? Like you even need to ask. Right. I forgot about that. ^^; He knows eevreething. * Katie lets a tired smirk grace her lips and waits for him to speak. That's because we weren't supposed to meet here. We were su... nevermind. This is as good a place as any. We'd offer you some tea, but apparently the hot water isn't working. * Satoshi sits back down. * Taki nods at Satoshi and then goes to sit down near where she left her book. So, I suppose you want to know why you're here. Yes. * Taki nods at Winston this time. Oh, sure, if it isn't too much trouble. I trust you haven't forgotten our conversation about the artifacts from before, correct? A bit. Artifacts? I just remember you talking about past Arcana, and the World War II representatives. I don't remember artifacts. Then again, my memory is apparently not what it used to be. The penticle. * Katie looks like she might be about to say something, but yawns instead. (Dood, you'd need a chainsword to cut the sarcasm in this room >.>) * Winston nods to Taki. "Yes, the pentacle that young Reiji Ozora found." Find anything about it? Not that one, no. * Katie mmms vaguely. "So you found something out about a different one." Quite right you are. I need you to go to Hiroshima, as early as possible. What for? ...That's bit of a trip. I'll say. * Katie nods, commenting dryly, "On a school day, no less." Bloody hell, do you realize what's at stake? You can afford to miss one day of school to keep this artifact from falling into the hands of the Blacks. So which artifact is it that's in Hiroshima, then? The Wand. Do you know what it does? No, I can't say I do. Do you know where it is or what it looks like? Probibly drives people who arn't Wands who try to use it insane, like the last one did. Yeah, Hiroshima's a big place. I wonder if I still count. You will find it in the Hiroshima Museum of Art, although thankfully not on display. Where, then? One of the back rooms? Somewhere towards the top floor. Where, I cannot say. As for what it looks like... It's a wand. Maybe I'll be able to sense it like I do fields. It's a longshot. Or we can bring Kyon. I'm sure you'll be able to recognize it when you see it. * Taki nods, "Have to find him first." So we go to Hiroshima, find the wand, bring it back and then? And then give it to me, or hold onto it. I don't know, just keep it safe from the wrong hands. And for God's sake, don't try to use the blasted thing! * Katie rolls her eyes. "Yeah, we'll go crazy. Got it." Does anyone else know about this? Hopefully not yet. But I wouldn't count on it. Okay. So we're playing fetch. Anything else? Not at the moment, no. And you'll let us know if there is anything, I'm sure. If at all possible, you can count on it. I suppose that's good to know. * Katie yawns. "Yeah. It is." So...if that's everything, do you think you could let us out of this field? * Winston nods. [And suddenly you're at the Ramen Stand. "Hi every-bo-dy!"] "What can I get you to-day?" * Taki looks blankly up at the Ramen guy and the menue behind him, "Ahhh...." * Katie tries not to look like she has a headache. "Hi. Nothing." She turns to leave. "Hope you two enjoy your time together." [Jin is there too!] Shouldn't we make plans for going tomorrow? Howabout we do so after we find everybody else, have dinner and maybe a nap. * Katie stops and looks back. "What's there to plan? The others don't even know about this yet." Unless you want to go without them. We could do that. No, we should probably bring them. We can get in contact with them later. Okay. If I remember right, you wanted time alone, and I don't want to act against your wishes. Coming up with excuses will take the better part of a day, anyway. I'm sure our student prez will be able to come up with something, and if not, it's only a couple of days untill the weekend. * Katie nods. What I wanted was to do my homework, but Destiny apparently has other plans for that. Nothing's keeping you from doing it tonight, like nothing's keeping me from doing mine. * Katie turns her gaze to Taki. "Though if you want to spend it with her instead, that'd just figure. Good night." She goes back to walking out. Oh, I'll work on it, but I'm not going to have much luck concentrating- * Satoshi sighs. ... Screw it. I'm sorry. You didn't do anything. If she's going to be pissy, she's going to be pissy. It's not helping her case any. (Wow, Satoshi used the word 'pissy'. ^_^) * Satoshi sighs. "Not in a very good mood right now, but I guess that's obvious." You saw her yawning...hopefully she'll be in a better mood in the morning. Maybe, although I'm starting to wonder if it's more than just tiredness. There probibly is, there's so much going on in our lives... Yeah. It's finally getting to me. Just so long as I don't start asking what the point of everything is. * Taki nods, "Just remember that I'm out there somewhere for you, and despite the way she's acting right now, so's Katie and everybody else." Thanks. Can you get home by yourself... wait, what am I asking? It's you we're talking about. Of course you can. * Taki grins and gives a little chuckle, "And it's good thing its me too, anybody else without shoes you'd have to carry...Not that that's a bad thing mind you..." * Satoshi blushes just a little. "Well... it's not like I'd have any problems carrying anyone... it'd look kind of odd, though." He smiles. Who cares about oddlooking? True enough. But I need to get Jin home, too. If he's still here. * Taki nods, "Call me when you get home, hopefully by then I'll have gotten in contact with Kyon." I'll do that. Night. Be careful. ...Actualy I could just take you home and save a bit of bother. Heh. Actually, yeah. Let's get where no one else is looking. Thanks. * Taki grins for a second and then it fades, "...I have got to stop lieing to Katie." [Jin is still there. He's talking to RamenGuy.] RamenGuy: "No, We don't-a have egg ramen." * Satoshi just shakes his head. "Let's get Jin." * Taki checks to make sure she still has her book and her cinnamon before stepping out of the ramenstand and looking around for people. (mmm, cinnamon) Jin: "What about cinnamon egg ramen?" * Satoshi calls to him. "Come on, Jin, let's go. We'll make you something at home." (Digs for cinnamon chicken resipies, google how do I love thee?) (*laughs*) (Cinnamon chicken. :9) [Jin looks at Satoshi and blinks twice. "Cinnamon chicken and egg ramen?"] I'm sure we can figure it out. Eggs are in the noodles. [End! In here.]
