[Date: Wednesday, Ramuh 18th. Time: Early Morning] [Continuing the mini from the Bar, we're outside following Harmony's walkings as she meanders aimlessly (or not so) in the night. The streets are pretty clear and the air is cool.] [Mini start.] * Harmony wanders not so aimlessly. She heads towards a tree somewhere away from the populous areas of town. * Harmony gets to tree! Yay! Except... there's something odd with it. Espically those 'crunchy' sounds from within the leaves. * Harmony ... finds a different tree. * The tree calls out, however. "Hey, where are you going?" The crunching is pretty obvious now. It's an apple. * Harmony yelps and turns around, squinting at the tree. [There's definitely someone up in the tree, and that voice was male. You'd guess a Clavat or a Selkie... probably Clavat the way that voice was.] * Harmony wipes her eyes and squints some more. "H-Hello?" Not often people come out here in the middle of the night. You can climb up? * Harmony gulps nervously, and nods. Then come on up. It's hard enough to see through the leaves, you know. * Harmony hesitates, then climbs up. Before getting off she takes a good look at whoever it is. * Up in the tree is none other than a blonde-haired, blue-eyed Clavat. He's moderately attractive and must be really into nature to be out this late at night. On his shoulder is a hawk, but it's difficult to make him out to anything other than that. He's dressed in light clothing, and despite it being cool out, doesn't seem bothered by the temperature at all. "Hungry?" Ah... A little. * Selik throws Harmony a striped apple. "What brings you out this late at night?" * Harmony catches it. "Um... I was hungry... so I went to the tavern." * Harmony doesn't mind the temperature either. She's also wearing light clothing. And you're still hungry? * Harmony nods. She pokes her fingers together. "I, um... I didn't eat much." * Selik gives Harmony a comforting grin. "Do you want to talk about it?" He scratches Herion's neck. ( *parses that as Heroine* ) * Harmony looks down. "Umm..." (Hehe.) There were, um... people... there. * Selik nods and pays attention. * Harmony waits for him to say something, and, when he doesn't, adds, "... that I knew." You got scared? * Harmony bites her lip, and nods. * Selik nods. "That's not too uncommon. Maybe I can help next time? You're going to have to get over it before the caravan, right?" * Harmony slowly nods. "B-but it's hard..." Nothing great is ever easy. To be the best, you need to overcome the hard things. Your talent will help when it can, but you've got to do the difficult things too. * Harmony nods. Is there anything I can do to help? Would you like to talk about it some more? * Harmony tries to meet his eyes as she continues. "I k-keep thinking--" she only manages for a minute "About the others, and h-how they all seem to get along so well..." she shudders a bit. "I d-don't belong." * Selik closes his eyes and hmmms. "Yeah, they do seem to get along. But there's room for you... And I think there are others like you. Like that Yuke, or that other Selkie... Ne Rina was her name I think. Maybe you could talk to them? Nikki's friendly enough too." * Harmony nods. "E-everyone likes her." * Selik nods. "You're envious? Or afraid of..." * Harmony blinks sharply at Selik. Then looks away, ashamed. "She's smart, pretty, friendly... she knows everyone in the town. Everyone likes her. Nobody's scared of her, and she's not scared of anyone." She sniffs. "I could never be like her." She's popular, but think about it. Do you think she really isn't scared of anything? How well does she know anyone... and how many of those people that are friendly are just talking to her just because they can? How many of those people are true friends? * Harmony pokes her fingers together. "B-Better than me." You don't give yourself enough credit. I'm sure many people would love to know you. I'm glad I know you, for one. Maybe you should talk to them more? I t-try. I try, but... But there're always a lot of people waiting for you? Maybe you could try and talk to them one-on-one at first. I do try! But most of the time they're with others and... * Harmony sniffs and shakes her head. I'll gladly help out however I can, but I'm running out of ideas. * Harmony smiles slightly. "It's okay. It's hard to help someone like me." That's why I'm going to try. As long as you try too. * Harmony nods. "Th... That's why I applied. For the c-caravan, I mean." To meet new people? * Harmony nods. Well, you've already met me. And I'm not even on the caravan. * Harmony looks to the side "I don't know if it was a good idea though. It was a selfish thing to do... They could have gotten someone better than me." * Harmony sighs. "I shouldn't have s-said that." Nonsense. If there's one thing I know about that council, they'll only pick the best people for the job. And they picked you. * Seliks shrugs and smiles. "Modesty is a good thing to have. Just don't put yourself down with it." * Harmony nods. There are some real horror stories of caravans with people who were too cocky and went in over their heads. I'm pretty sure you won't have a shot at being one of them. So, do you want to get something in that belly of yours other than apples? Um.... * Harmony nods. * Selik looks at Herion and smiles. "So does Herion. I'll fix up somethin' at home." He starts climbing down. "Come on." ^_^ H-Home? * Harmony follows hesitantly. * Selik thinks. "Yeah, my family's sleeping anyways. Come on, I know of a really good place that *isn't* crowded and still open." * Harmony nods. [Mini End!]
