Advancement

Feats are gained at the rate of one feat at level 1 and one feat every three levels
afterwards (Levels 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, and 18).  These can be spent on any feat that you meet
the prerequisites for, and are in addition to bonus feats granted by class.

Every four levels, a character may apply a permanent +1 boost to any one of their abilities.
(Levels 4, 8, 12, 16, and 20)

Focus attacks are gained at a rate of one per every three levels starting at level 4 (Levels
4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19).  In addition, a general feat may be used to gain a focus attack, as
well as those provided from class skills and items.  Below listed is the typical number of
focus attacks a character will have.  Yukes have one less than that, and Moogles cannot use
Focus Attacks.  These bonus focus attacks are in addition to any granted by class levels.

Command slots are gained at a rate of one every other level and an extra at level 20 (Levels
3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, and 20).  Special items may increase this even further.
Characters start at level 1 with three command slots.  These command slots are in addition
to any granted by classes, equipment, or other special abilities.
