* Eoi parks his cycle and walks into #Rats, attempting to find Mei-Yin.
*** Sai has joined #Rats
* Eoi frowns, as he probably doesn't notice Mei-Yin.
* Sai orders one of the horrible burgers, and sits down to watch the 
  TV.
<Brett> [Eoi notices Sai, though!]
<Eoi> 'lo Sai. Mei-Yin isn't here. I'm off to check somewhere else.
<Sai> That's nice.
* Eoi leaves the rats and tries to figure out the next place he should 
  go.
* Eoi decides to head for the pizza place. No better ideas. He hops on 
  his motorcycle and heads off.
<Brett> ( Aw man. )
<Eoi> ( Sorry dude. Eoi's being IC. )
<Eoi> ( I feel bad for you too. )
<Eoi> ( I'll leave the room, cuz Eoi isn't at Rats anymore. )
*** Eoi has left #Rats
<Brett> [The TV is finishing up a broadcast: The former prime minister 
  (from ten years ago) has a severe case of Alzheimer's.  Yesterday he 
  forgot his own name.]
<Brett> TV: "And now, on Love and Hate, Japan's most popular soap 
  opera!"
<Sai> ...
* Sai leaves.
<Brett> ( Other channel, then :P )
*** Sai has left #Rats

* Tedashi is sweeping the shrine grounds when Eoi gets there.
* Eoi stops his bike, locks it up and walks over to his grandfather. 
  "'lo Grandpa."
* Tedashi looks up. "Ah, Eoi."
<Eoi> How is everything going? 
<Tedashi> Better.  My leg is fully healed.
<Tedashi> You look troubled.
<Eoi> S'good to hear. 
<Eoi> Quite. I've.. me and my friends have a big problem.
* Tedashi stops sweeping. "Hmm... Tell me."
<Eoi> Well.. I've got this friend, Mei-Yin. She had these weird curse 
  where nobody could remember her except for Shigeru.
<Eoi> Anyway, somehow she got this cursed sword. Shigeru said we were 
  there, but we wouldn't remember, cuz of the curse.
* Tedashi nods.
<Eoi> Anyway.. she started acting really weird. Violent, and.. 
  vicious. She tried to kill Shigeru's mom, and she and Shigeru had a 
  fantastic fight and broke up.
<Eoi> Anyway, Shigeru tried to make her get rid of the sword by 
  tossing it into this fire. Mei-Yin went after it, and we couldn't 
  stop her.
<Eoi> ... We thought she died, but then another person we know told us 
  that she.. or at least the sword and a girl who was using it.. are 
  causing havok.
<Eoi> THe problem is, we can't find her. And even if we do, we need to 
  give her some kind of major shock to try to break the sword's 
  control. We're really lost.
* Eoi sighs. "I'm really out of ideas. I was hoping you might be able 
  to help."
* Tedashi leans on his broom in thought. "Hmmm... Is she being 
  possessed? Why don't you try to exorcise it?"
<Eoi> ( Because that only works on ghosts. ((_-; )
<Eoi> I.. don't know. I could try that.
* Eoi grins. "Damn. And now I feel like an idiot for not thinking of 
  that."
<Tedashi> Hmm...
<Tedashi> Well, if it doesn't work, a backup plan would be useful.
* Eoi nods. "True. Very true."
<Tedashi> Perhaps the best way would be to break the tie she has to 
  the weapon.
<Eoi> Break the tie?
<Eoi> How could you do that?
<Tedashi> Hmm...
<Tedashi> Tell me everything you know about the weapon.
<Eoi> Well.
<Eoi> It's cursed. She keeps changing it's shape every time she 
  attacks.
<Eoi> Saki said it was part of some weapon called "Ambition."
<Eoi> It's really powerful. Mei-Yin had amazing skill with the weapon, 
  and I don't think she had that before.
<Tedashi> Ambition? ... Hmm...
<Tedashi> Familiar...
<Eoi> She said it was one of a trio of weapons. One of balance, one of 
  good and one of evil.
<Eoi> Saki said it was the one of evil.
<Eoi> She said.. if we had the weapon of good, we could destroy the 
  weapon.
<Eoi> Or a part of the weapon of good. The odds of us finding that are 
  amazingly slim though.
<Tedashi> She's right...  Ambition was forged by the Greek God... I 
  forget his name.
<Tedashi> Three weapons, for three... I want to say heroes, but that's 
  not quite right.
<Tedashi> Powerful humans, is better.
<Eoi> Good, evil and balance. 
<Eoi> Oh, I forgot to mention one other thing!
<Eoi> This god.. comes after whoever has the cursed weapon.
<Eoi> Not the greek god. This other fellow..
* Tedashi nods. "Any weapon is a match for the other, but they should 
  never be... Hm?"
<Eoi> .. Suzaku!
<Eoi> That's it. 
<Tedashi> Suzaku... Most powerful of the Four Gods.
<Eoi> That is why we're in such a rush. We have to save Mei-Yin before 
  he finds her.
<Tedashi> And he attacks the one wielding the weapon?
* Eoi nods.
<Eoi> Yeah. Mei-Yin may be powerful with that sword, but I doubt she 
  can fight a god.
<Tedashi> Most likly. Few humans can.
<Eoi> So Grandpa, I doubt you know where we can find a weapon of good, 
  huh?
<Tedashi> Not one of that calibur...
<Tedashi> But I wonder...
<Eoi> Hm?
<Tedashi> A friend of mine in the Shinto Club, Yue... He sold his 
  precious naginata recently.
<Tedashi> He loved the thing. Even slept with it sometimes.  But, you 
  see, he has alzheimers.
* Eoi raises an eyebrow.
<Eoi> And.. this naginata..?
<Tedashi> The naginata isn't important.
<Tedashi> My point is, I wonder if alzheimers would do the same to 
  your friend? Make her simply forget her attachment to the sword.
<Eoi> ... Uh... maybe.
<Eoi> I.. really don't know if that would work..
<Eoi> I mean, Shigeru might be able to do it, but I really doubt he 
  would.
<Eoi> ...
* Eoi blinks.
<Eoi> Of.. course.
<Tedashi> An idea?
<Eoi> Quite!
<Eoi> We found this potion that can give people amnesia..
<Eoi> That might just be the answer! Grandpa, you're a genius.
<Tedashi> Of course. I'm old!
* Tedashi smiles.
<Eoi> I need to go tell the others! Thanks!
* Eoi gives his grandfather a hug, gets on his motorcycle and speeds 
  towards Chelsea's apartment.
