[Day: Monday, June 20th. Time: 10:00 p.m.] [You arrive at Kanghua Enterprises, which is seemingly empty for the night. Of course, you guys know better than that. It's time to hunt for that secret lab!] [Peter drove you. You've just gotten out of the van when he suddenly realizes that "Harry Potter and the Magic Eight Ball" is being released at midnight tonight, and the tires screech as he tears off down the road looking for a bookstore.] [Session Start] * Maria is in some normal (for her) clothes, this time. Her footfalls are no longer noisy, and she's much more comfortable. (Sekrit lab! ^^) * Makoto turns to watch the van disappear into the night, and rummages around in one of the many pockets of his baggy kahki slacks. "Well, that's nice." * Chie sighs. "Somebody's got to keep his priorities straight." She stretches. ... Peter begging for big, big wedgie. * Chomei shakes his head. "Yeah, he is." No kiddin'. So, how do we wanna do this? ~No reason to miss out on a good movie! Or even a mediocre one. He'd better tell me if the eight-ball says if it's a bad time to ask, 'cause I have a lot of questions, mostly about chipmunks.~ Anyhow. We've got an evil lab to infiltrate. Makoto, did Rei fill you in on everythin'? * Maria sighs and says to herself, "I'm *still* not used to doing this with other people." * Makoto removes his hand from said pocket, only now he's got one of his heavy combat yo-yos. "Huh? Oh, yeah. Mostly. But I may have missed a few details." * Chie idly wonders if Rei told Makoto *everything*... * SpiritRei beams. * Chie eyes Rei briefly. All right. Enough standin' around. What's the plan? * Makoto portrays a look of pure innocence. His expression is totally sincere and believable, but that just goes to show that he's a damn good actor. The doppelganger never had an innocent thought in his life. (...you are so not going to let us hear the end of it later, aren't you, Makoto? ^_~) * Maria eyes the others confusedly. ( Well, may-NO. ) * Chomei eyes Makoto. Plan? I'm sure I don't know anything about necki--I mean, plans. * Chomei cracks his knuckles and walks up to Makoto. "The plan." * Maria *eyes* Makoto * Chie sighs. "Look, we have an evil secret lab, we have a passcode, we have the general layout. What are we doin' with 'em?" Walk in, punch people, break down doors? * SpiritRei peers at Chomei from over Makoto's shoulder as she looks at him. ~What're you crackin' your knuckles for? You wouldn't hurt Makoto, wouldja? 'Course you wouldn't. That'd be mean. Right, Chomei?~ ...I think we want a slightly more subtle approach than that, Laz. Going in, using the layout to get to the lab and the passcode to enter? Seems pretty straightforward. * Chie walks over to Chomei and puts a hand on his arm. Hey. ~Duh. I figure I can disable anything right before you get there. Maria can give you all sneaky lessons, 'cause you need it. Sneaky good! Not sneaky bad!~ * Makoto offers Chomei a cocky, lopsided grin, though his spoken response is clearly meant for Chie. "Lazar and Maria seem to have it right enough. I guess the only thing we need to figure out now is how to get into the building. Maria? Any ideas?" (Quotes are EVIL!, I will have you know.) (Not MANLY!) (No. Not MANLY! at all.) * Chomei sighs. "Of course I wouldn't hurt Makoto." He mutters something under his breath as he turns away. * Makoto looks away from Chomei when the archer turns. "Oh, right. I keep forgetting about things that need disabling. Thanks, Rei." Sneaky is good, yes. And if you give me a sec or three, I can come around and let you in through the door. Or Rei can do it. Most buildings have a button near the main door you can push to get out after hours. Some are tied to security rigs and record the exit times, but I'm sure we can take care of that. * Chie looks somewhat amused, actually. "So, yeah. We send Rei in first to disable stuff, and then the rest of us follow Maria, and we go with what she just said. Works for me." ~Sure thing! Good for the rest? Give me an aye aye, Cap'n!~ From all of us, or just Maria? And if I'm supposed to say it, do you want me to say 'Capn' at the end? Or just 'aye aye'? Go for it, Rei. Check to make sure it won't clue anyone in first, tho. You're up, Rei. ~Is a country!~ * Lazar mutters. "Things so much easier in Transylvania. Nobody call police if you break into fire demon cave." A what? * SpiritRei floats into the building, first floor. Fire demon cave is what it sounded like. * Maria actually gets it, and giggles. She may not be sure *where* Europe is, but she's heard of it. No, what Rei said before she left. ( "Europe? Oh yeah, that's somewhere in Asia, isn't it?" ) * Lazar is 'dressed' semi-professionally, BTW... black cargo pants, semi-tight black t-shirt (Lazar has BIG MUSCLES! WOO!), and black sneakers. (I totally missed that sentence about Europe. ^^; Who said it?) * Chomei blinks. "Oh." (So three people in all black. Goths R Us.) ( You're up. Europe. ) (Got Goth?) ( "You're up." "Is a country!" ) (Oh. Okay. Apparently I am clueless, and so is Chie. Too much time spent with Chomei. ;p) (Well, we're trying to be sneaky. Bright orange would be inappropriate.) * Makoto grins vaguely and spins his yo-yo. It's a heavy thing, and moves more slowly than most of his other toys, but the doppelganger doesn't seem too interested in finesse at the moment. * Chie looks over at Lazar. "Laz, you're stealin' my look. S'bad enough we've alrady got *one* other person doin' it." She grins. ( The 'ganger is not wearing any black at all! ) Sorry. No did think that bright-color Hawaii shirt would be good for sneaking into building. Who said I stole it from you? And you're right. I know, I know. I'm just bein' silly. * Lazar nods. "One question... what we doing when we get into building? I no quite sure why we here, other than 'They Asahara. They bad. Need be punched in face.' I guess we'll try and shut down whatever they've got going here. Or at least get more info on it. Pretty much it. And hit people that need to be hit. While we're still in the office, we try to be quiet and hard to notice. Once in the lab, I think we can go nuts, since they'd have to deny the existence of the place anyway. Probably. 2d6-5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for SpiritRei (2d6-5) and gets -1. (Rei just wasted a roll.) (I'll waste your roll.) I'm pretty sure we followed some kind of trail that Ashahara left behind after they did something unpleasant. We're always following somebody bad. (And wasted as in obliterated. :P) Such is life... ( In the distance, a gong sou- wait, you forgot to stroke your goatee! NO GONG FOR YOU! ) (Ack. Chomei with a goatee. Bad mental image. Bad.) ( Ha! ) 2d6-5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for SpiritRei (2d6-5) and gets 3. * Chie grins at Chomei. "Hey, we come, we see, we kick ass, we go home. What more could you want?" I'd say "a pocket full of jewels", but I don't think they'll have that here. And what if we run into guy from you school, Chie? We kick his ass? Because I really don't think he'll be much for negotiating. * Chomei smirks back at Chie. 2d6-5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for SpiritRei (2d6-5) and gets 3. I mean, if you wanna try and plan strategy, I'd think that he fights... well, a lot like me. You'd send someone he's not ready for against him. Possibly better. So, yeah. I guess I'm probably not the best one to go up against him. Please say he no have cursed sword what cut through golem like cursed sword through golem... I *hope* not. Didn't Eoi-sensei and Mr. Ueda take care of that? [The doors open.] ...and that would be our cue, I think. Nono. I mean other cursed sword. Or cursed axe. Or cursed chainsaw, for that matter. * Maria walks up to the doors and looks for anything that would be looking for people to come in. ~Come on in, the water's fine, watch your step, please.~ * Makoto seems in a sort of faraway daze, as if he's thinking about something that has absolutely nothing to do with anything. The black and white spiral patterns on his yo-yo turn like a hypnotist's pinwheel, and then stop when he grabs the toy in his fingers. "Oh. Are we on?" They did mention an axe, actually. * Chomei cringes at the thought of a 'cursed chainsaw'. "We're on." * Chie shudders briefly at the mention of water. "Let's go." 2d6-4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Maria (2d6-4) and gets -1. * Lazar facepalms. "Axe. Great. Please say it no magic axe with strange, unknown powers..." * Lazar follows the others. Well, Ren did seem to really want it, although I convinced him to see the light. * Makoto shakes his head as if to clear it, though he doesn't put the yo-yo back in his pocket; nor does he spin the weapon any further. He simply watches his comrades with a peculiar upward quirk of the eyebrows, and then follows them inside. * Chomei walks in and stuff. * Chie walks inside, after making sure it's all clear. * Maria glances around, and waves the others in. "Guard's headed down that way, so we have a little time," she explains quietly. She heads towards the lab, keeping an eye out for security measures. * SpiritRei floats in the air, legs crossed and tail twitching. ~Come *on* already. We don't got all night. They're gonna check on the camera eventually. You wanna go to the R&D department. There'll be one guy patrolling the floor. I'll go ahead and take out any cameras and stuff on the way, and Maria'll make sure I didn't botch it.~ Got it. * Chomei nods. * Lazar attempts to be as stealthy and quiet as an 800-lb stone guy can be. (Read: Not very) ~Now. To the elevators!~ * Maria gives a thumbs-up to nothing in particular, which means it's prolly directed at Rei. (THE ELEVATORS!) * SpiritRei grins and goes ahead, towards the 'vators, looking for cameras and the like. (THE ELEVATORS!) (THE ELEVATORS!) * Maria frowns. Stairs would be better, but eh. She heads to THE ELEVATORS. * Chie would powerpose if they weren't supposed to be sneaking around. Instead, she follows Maria. (Are they... MANLY! ELEVATORS!?) (Of course not. That would just be silly. ^_^) * Makoto doesn't creep so much as he swaggers. If it weren't for the fact that he was in the company of a bunch of people who had no business whatsoever in the building, he would probably look like he had every right to be wandering through the halls at ten-something at night. ( I sure hope not. ) * Chomei follows Maria somewhat sneakily. :P ( Gimme stealth rolls, -2 bonus ) (Spec?) ( move silently ) 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chomei (2d6-3) and gets 6. 2d6-8 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Maria (2d6-8) and gets -5. 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chie (2d6-2) and gets 4. 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Makoto (2d6-2) and gets 3. * Maria heads silently, inobservably, and casually towards the elevators. She still keeps an eye out for anything, tho. (I do not roll!) 2d6-1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Lazar (2d6-1) and gets 5. [You all make it to the elevator sneakily.] * Maria waits for Rei to operate the elevator. [The elevator sits there elevatorly.] * Makoto waits quietly in the back of the elevator, behind everybody else. He always seems to gravitate toward the back of the group. * Chie says, quietly, "Somebody gonna push the button, or what?" * Chomei stays near the back of the group as well, keeping an eye on Makoto. * Maria shrugs and pushes the button. [The elevator doors open. *ding!*] ( NO! NOT THE ALARM BUT- oh. Whew. ) * Chie gets on the elevator! * Lazar gets in the elevator. * Maria scowls. Elevator, meh. At least she won't leave fingerprints on the button. * Maria gets into the elevator, checking it immediately for security measures. * Chomei gets into the elevator too, spying the corners for the camreas that always seem to be there. ( Gimme a security check, Maria! ) * Makoto glances at Chomei. For the briefest of moments, his dark eyes flash with what could only be described as extreme mistrust--and more than a little revulsion as well. Then he blinks, and looks straight ahead, and his expression becomes smooth once again as he stares at Lazar's back. 2d6-4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Maria (2d6-4) and gets 3. * Chie didn't see Makoto. That's probably a Very Good Thing. [Maria finds no traps!] * Maria nods and pokes the appropriate button. [The elevator moves up!] * Maria runs her hand through her hair. She says, quietly, "This does it. I'm gonna have to teach you guys to walk on walls." * Chie laughs quietly. "I'm for it." *whisper* ... I no think walls like that very much. For me, at least. Right. You, I'll teach to jump like crazy. It's not that hard when you get used to it. * Makoto grins and whispers back. "I would offer to teach you to walk through mirrors in return, Maria, but I don't think it's something you can get wrong too many times before you turn into a walking lump of scar tissue." [You arrive on the R&D floor!] * Maria giggles quietly, and then is silent again when the elevator doors begin to open. She goes to looking for security again. * Chomei rolls his eyes. 2d6-5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for SpiritRei (2d6-5) and gets 1. ( Gimme an electronics roll, Maria! ) 2d6-4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Maria (2d6-4) and gets 0. [Maria espies a camera looking towards the elevator, maybe still active.] * Maria dashes under it immediately and goes about deactiating it, should it still be active. * Makoto grows silent again because his jaw is suddenly clenched, and his yo-yo creaks a little from the white-knuckled grip he's got on it. The doppelganger is definitely not looking anywhere near Chomei. * Chie waits until Maria gives some sort of all-clear signal. ( Electronics roll, Maria! ) * SpiritRei zips from the doors. ~Oh, whew. I missed that one. Knew I'd botch! When Maria has it, go to the office; Makoto can show you the way. Don't say a *word*, and don't make any noise. Guy called for backup, but he's on the other side of the floor.~ ~I already deactivated the camera in there, so don't worry about that.~ * Lazar blinks at Makoto, then looks back out at Maria, figuring Makoto is just tense. 2d6-4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Maria (2d6-4) and gets 2. * Chie just nods at Rei. If she's noticing the tension between the guys, she's not giving any sign of it. * Chomei nods slowly at Rei. He keeps the corner of his eye on Makoto, but seems intent on completing the mission first. [Maria deactivates the camera.] * SpiritRei looks at Maria. ~Got it?~ * Maria nods and gives the air a thumbs-up. She returns her tools to wherever she got 'em from. * Makoto threads his way between the others and steps out of the elevator, looking around quickly to orient himself in the hallway. ( Prepositions are fun! ) * SpiritRei floats ahead and to the office. * Lazar steps out quickly so as to not block the others, then follows the group. * Maria steps into the shadows and heads for the office, looking for more cameras, or anything else. * Chomei waits for people to get out of the elevator, following the last person as they leave. * Chie quietly follows Maria. * Makoto moves as quietly as he can behind Maria, and coincidentally not far from Chie. [And so you get to the office, which is much like it was before when Makoto and Rei were here.] [There's a deactivated camera over the door.] * Maria keeps an eye out. * SpiritRei grins. ~You made it? No ninja squirrels tried to stop you on the way? Good.~ She reaches over to one of the books and pulls it from the shelf. [There's also a bookcase, a file cabinet, and a desk and computer.] [Rei pulls the book from the shelf! She now has a book. :P] ( Ninja squirrels? Not a bad idea... ) ( Well, this is an office building. Of course it would be samurai cockroaches. ) ( Ninja raccoons. ) ( ...now, *there* is an idea. ) (Ninja-'coons?) (RSP. ^^) (Rocky!) * SpiritRei blinks a couple times, then looks at where the book used to be. Stupid bookcase. ~This thing's s'posed to move...~ ( Were-racoons? ) * Maria frowns an unhappy frown and looks around for security, or, say, a trap. Try another one? * Lazar waves to get Rei's attention, and makes a punching motion towards the bookcase, then a questioning motion. * Makoto watches the book hover uncertainly around the office and whispers in the direction of the floating literature. "Everything okay, cutie?" * Chomei looks at Lazar and shakes his head. He quietly says: "Not yet." * Lazar nods. * SpiritRei waves the book in frustration, and now it's wildly floating literature. ~Not really. Stupid me forgot to check *how* it would move; I assumed it'd be some cliche thing like removing the right book or something.~ 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for SpiritRei (2d6) and gets 9. Maybe it just slides? Keypad? ~I know it just slides. I checked to make sure it just slides. It's what triggers it that's the trick. Think think. Um.~ Right. There was a keycode on that memo. * SpiritRei blinks, then opens the book, letting the pages turn where they would naturally. * Chomei nods. ~There's a keypad back there, I know that.~ [On page 136 is a keypad] * SpiritRei grins. ~Or here.~ She tries punching in the number that was on the memo. ...that is the *coolest* security thingie I've ever seen. Not that I've seen many, but, hey. That one's neat. * Makoto nods his agreement. [Rei pushes the number in and the book case slides backwards, revealing a long, twisty hallway.] * Chomei nods. "Shhh." * Maria whispers. "Nice. Last one I saw took up the whole book. " * SpiritRei shuts the book and shoves it on the shelf. ~I'm gonna make one of those. Only five times cooler. And in neon colors. Down the twisty little passages, all alike!~ * Maria goes into the hallway, looking for security or traps or other unpleasant buisness. * SpiritRei floats in, too. * Chie grins. "Niiiiice," she says, quietly. * Lazar nods appreciatively, and then, after a moment's pause, moves to take the lead down the hallway. * Makoto hangs back and waits for everybody to file down the hall before him. * Chie looks back for a second, then follows Lazar. * Chomei shrugs. He follows Chie into the hall, reluctantly in front of Makoto. * Makoto brings up the rear of the group as quietly as he can manage. [Down the hallway you go, eventually finding stairs! They go up a ways, then make a full turn] * SpiritRei hums an entirely too perky song for sneaky work. Too bad it's in everyone's heads. * Maria keeps going, keeps looking. She has a frown on her face, now. ( Big deal. You guys are always frowning. ) * Makoto grins at where he imagines Rei's astral self to be, though he refrains from humming along with her. Just barely. * Lazar continues walking at the head of the group, 'eyes' scanning from side to side as he does. His posture suggests unease, caution, and several large chunks missing from his torso. (*snickers*) [At the top of the stairs, there's a door!] * Chomei stays alert, ignoring Rei's 'humming' as best he can. * Maria looks the door over for anything unfriendly. * Lazar stops before the door, and steps as aside as he can, to let Maria do her thing. * Chie eyes the door. Well, really, she's probably eyeing Lazar's back, since he's right in front of her and is quite bigger than she is. But if she could see the door, she'd eye it. [The door has a sign on the front written in six languages: "Go away."] * Chie can now see the door. "Friendly, aren't they?" she mutters. They must love company. ~Wow, they're multilingual! I wonder if they have the entire UN represented. And can speak Kirby. Only one word, but so many different meanings.~ * Maria probably can't read any of the languages on the sign, so she ignores it as she looks over the door and prepares to make it let her in. * SpiritRei tries putting her hand through the door. Well, it *is* supposed to be a secret. What it say? Go away. * Makoto chuckles. Multiple times, right? Prolly. Although that's kind of a silly way to keep people away. ... ah. Okay. We should go away, then. Well, yeah. I suppose we could give them points for effort, though. It'd keep people who work here and stumble on this by accident from going any further. They'd worry about loosing their piddly little jobs, and all. ... accidentally punch in secret code hidden in secret book? Yeah. It'd take a good deal of effort to actually get here. You're not considering the possibility of a malfunction. They've prolly done a lot to prevent accidents, but it's never really enough. * Maria grins. "Oh, that's cute." * Chomei shrugs. "Are we going to go in or just talk about the door all day?" * SpiritRei blinks as her hand stops at the door. She tries putting her foot through it, and it stops, too. ~Okay. I can't go through.~ True. And if I stumbled across a hidden stairway behind a bookcase, I'd probably wanna go invest- what's cute? ~We've gotta open it.~ One sec. This shouldn't take long. * Chie nods, and waits for Maria to do her thing. 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Maria (2d6) and gets 5. ...the hell? What's wrong? Hm? What's up? ~What, it's not working? It can't not work. You're Maria, sekrit ninja thief in not-disguise!~ Just something new, is all. Apparently someone likes uh, 'Fightership' or whatever it is. Shouldn't be a problem. ... huh? * Maria pulls out her tools and gets to work. 2d6-6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Maria (2d6-6) and gets -4, a CRITICAL SUCCESS!!! "I wish I got to hand out more of these, really." ( The door is REALLY UNLOCKED! ) (...okay, I don't think there's a problem any more.) (Problem? What problem?) (Not only is there not a problem now, but there was never one in the first place! Yeah! That's the ticket.) ( Maria should play Battleship more often. ) [Maria gets to work on the electronic lock. It shortly flashes "YOU SANK MY BATTLESHIP!", followed by an unlocking sound.] * Lazar moves to the door. "It okay now?" * SpiritRei astrally sweatdrops. * Chie grins. "Nice job." * Chomei blinks. "... Right." * Maria nods and she puts away her tools. "Battleship, that's what it was." She heads in, looking for trouble. * Lazar blinks at Maria, then shuffles in after her. * Makoto was too far back to see any of that. He simply follows the group through the door. I like this. If they weren't guarding an evil lab, I'd ask them who installed it, and if I could get one. ~It's pretty cool, yeah. But I could do better! It needs more spring.~ Talk about sinking battleships later. Now, we have an evil lab to explore. ~And fall. Everything needs more fall. Crinkling leaves are really cool, you know? Especially when you get big piles and jump up and down in them and then get yelled at by your neighbors but you don't care because they're idiots anyway.~ * Lazar looks around. What's a Chinese evil lab look like, anyway? (Like a Japanese evil lab, only with a few vases for ornamentation.) (Shh. I was asking Captain Narration (secretly mild mannered GM Brett)) (Both Chinese and Japanese evil labs have a ceramic cat with one paw raised somewhere in them, which makes things a bit more confusing.) (*laughs*) (Heh.) ~Rakes are pretty fun, too. Raking leaves, I mean. I'm not keen on all that physical labor, but they make neat lines on the ground, though I probably shouldn't be using them that way. But I figure that if there's any weird life out there looking from above, they'll see my lovely not-crop-circles and come down for a visit and maybe abduct me to take me to their home planet and... hmm. I probably should stop doing that.~ * SpiritRei floats through the doorway, now that it's open. (Do they both have fat Buddas and frogs sitting on piles of coins, too?) * Chomei walks through the doorway, keeping his eyes open for things that you wouldn't expect to find in an evil lab, or things that would be likely to try and, um, attack. * Maria works very hard not to pay too much attention to Rei just now. More. Important. Things. ... oh, you mean like were-aliens in Transylvania? (Mwahaha!) * Makoto grins at nothing in particular, which is to say that he's grinning at Rei's prattle. [You head on into the secret lab, which is pretty obviously a lab, 'cause it's got test tubes and beakers and all sorts of lab-like stuff. It looks just like an American secret lab, except they have needles for acupuncture, too. Towards the back is a Chinese guy in Chinese clothes, a buff- looking scientist and, busily bashing itself against a plastic tank, some kind of flying lizard.] ( Gimme biology (zoology) rolls at +4! ) 2d6+1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chomei (2d6+1) and gets 8. 2d6+4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for SpiritRei (2d6+4) and gets 12. 2d6+4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Maria (2d6+4) and gets 14. 2d6+4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chie (2d6+4) and gets 15. 2d6+4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Makoto (2d6+4) and gets 16, a CRITICAL FAILURE!!! "You always hurt the ones you love. I love you very much." ( Yay! ) (it just gets worse and worse. ;P) ( Good grief, dice, where are you when we *need* you? ) (Yup. ^_^;) (Makoto thinks it's a Mexican Staring Frog of Southern Sri Lanka! RUN!) ( I'm so confused by non-humanoid creatures! ) ( It doesn't have arms! WHAT DO I DO?) ( Damn! Non-bipeds! My one true weakness! ) [None of you have any idea what kind of creature it is. Except Makoto! He's absolutely convinced it's just an animatronic.] * Maria pouts. Where's Prof when you need him? * Lazar has no clue what it is, but doesn't really care. He advances on the two guys in the back. [The two people talk! Chinese guy:"... Don't care. We don't have the facilities to contain these things." * SpiritRei blinks a few times. ~How weird. Oh, stay quiet. Let's hear what they've got ta say.~ * Lazar stops in midstep! * Makoto casts a quick look around the lab, though he's the last member of the group to do so. "What's with the robot?" he mutters. * Chomei scratches his head, but listens closely. ( Hehe. ) (Which means he hears jack-shit. :P) * SpiritRei floats a leetle closer for a better look. And listen. * Chie keeps quiet and watches the two guys. And the big lizard-thing. Science guy: "Hey Shu, it's not often you can come across a find like this one these days." * Chie smirks. A-ha. Suspicion confirmed. "We only got it because they smuggled it out of the Romanian branch before it was destroyed." * Maria stays quiet. She also tries to get closer to the guys without risking being noticed, or to at least get into an advantageous spot from which to strike! at them. ( What language are they speaking? Chinese? ) Shu: "Yeah, well what are we supposed to do with it now that we got it? We can't contain it for long. Especially after it starts growing." ( Yeah. Sorry ^^; ) "This is the type of thing that the main branch is supposed to handle." ~The lizard's from the Romanian branch? And it's a baby. Hmm.~ * Makoto isn't paying a whole lot of attention to the yammering men or their silly robot. In fact, the doppelganger is looking around the lab with a sort of sad furrow to his brow, as if he's been disappointed by the whole adventure. [The plasti-glass cracks! The two guys turn to it in a hurry. "Shit."] .oO(These people are *idiots*). * Maria raises an eyebrow. She crouches low, ready to pounce if she has to. * Lazar facepalms. [Shu turns to the scientist guy: "Go call for back up, fast." He nods but no sooner does he turn than he sees you. "Um... Company."] ( Gimmie init rolls ) * Makoto blinks and looks back at the lizard in the glass. "That's a really convincing robot." * Chie waves cheerfully. "Hi there!" d6+7 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Lazar (d6+7) and gets 8. d6+7 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Makoto (d6+7) and gets 12. d6+7 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chie (d6+7) and gets 13. d6+7 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chomei (d6+7) and gets 8. d6+7 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Maria (d6+7) and gets 8. d6+6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for SpiritRei (d6+6) and gets 12. ( Wow, talk about extreme dice rolling. ) ( I'm the only one who didn't get a 1 or a 6. ) ( If Chie is getting crits, and stuff. That means the rest of you are dying right? ;P ) [Order: Chie, Lizard, Makoto, Rei, Mai Shu, Scientist, Lazar, Chomei, Maria.] ( XTREME DICE ROLLING! *AIR GUITARS* ) [Chie's turn!] ( Haw! ) ( Sonny: Lazar always gets critfails, so it evens out. ) ( The lizard thing has brown scales and looks about 4 feet long, by the way ) (Wings, or does it fly without 'em?) ( It's got wings. And only two feet. ) (Word.) * Chie pulls her sword and says, dryly, "I do believe that glass is cracking." She then turns to Mai Shu and the scientist. "I think you might just need some help here. So, how about you surrender to us, and we take that thing out?" [The lizard bashes the glass some more, causing it to crack even more.] [Makoto's turn!] 2d6+2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Lazar (2d6+2) and gets 10. (*throws us into the Metroid universe, where everything is toxic and explodes*) * Makoto grabs his yo-yo with his left hand and draws it out along its string. Then he whirls the weapon with his right hand, like a one-stone bolas and... he waits. ( Gee, thanks a lot, Rei. *dies* ;_; ) [Rei's turn!] ~Aww. Y'know, I feel kinda sorry for the lizard. Being cooped up must've really hurt. And it's a baby lizard, too! Probably wants to eat you all and go home.~ ~Swallow you whole! No wait. Snakes do that, generally. But still.~ (*snerk*) * SpiritRei cheerfully waits to see what happens. ...that's so very comforting, Rei. (Anyone have animal empathy? Anyone?) ~I aim to please!~ [Mai Shu scowls. "Who the hell...?!" He shakes his head and pulls out a guitar from seemingly no where. "Nevermind, I don't plan to surrender."] * SpiritRei blinks. ~Whoa, dude. Killin' with the sound of music.~ (...Xu Huang's Axe. Cute. ;p) ( Uh... right. Animal Empathy. In this bunch. Makoto! Turn into a gecko and talk to the thing! ) (Tell it about great car insurance!) ( ^_^ ) (And, dammit, *I* was gonna make somebody who fought with a guitar! For... a game that hasn't even been created yet. But hey. ;p) (* Makoto turns into a scaly human. "I don't think this will work...") (Oh, dear lord, they have those Geico commercials where you are, too?) ( *Makoto turns into a gecko. He can now save you hundereds on car insurance. ) ... guitar? What the hell? It's an 'axe'. ~The axe! Xu Huang's axe! I didn't know he was a rocker.~ The scientist moves away from the glass and doesn't do anything. [Lazar's turn!] ... oh, good. So it no cut like cursed sword. Phew. ( That was painful Ard. ) (But TRUE.) ( Painful Ard. ) ( Idols wore turbans back then. ) * Makoto blinks at the guitar. "An axe? But it looks... oh, I get it. Ahaha." * Lazar palms his pendant, revealing his still really battered looking golem form. He then proceeds to stomp up to Mai Shu and tries to stomp down on his foot to hold him in place for a right hook - left cross - right uppercut combo. (Golem Rage) 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Lazar (2d6-3) and gets 5. [Lazar beats the poor guy up something fierce. Ouch!] [Chomei's turn!] * Chomei summons Rownal. "Laz- yeah. Good job." (I think that takes my turn.) [Banana's turn!] [Somewhere, someone eats a banana, and it's tasty!] [Maria's turn!] (...) ( Heh. ) (:9) (That was random. I liked it. ^_^) ( Hehe. ) ( I try. ) * Maria leaps at Mai Shu, trying to kick the 'axe' out of his hands. (That was coo'.) 2d6-4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Maria (2d6-4) and gets 3. [Annoyingly, Maria misses the axe as Mai Shu moves.] [Chie's turn!] ( Stupid Shu. ;_; ) ( You guys should've sought out Yu Shu for help first. ) (How about Ma Chao?) (I knew we should've tried a fire attack. ;_;) * Chie eyes the glass. Okay, that thing looks like it's coming, and coming soon. So, she's going to wait for it to do so. (holding turn until after lizard emerges) [Chie doesn't have to wait long. The lizard-thing busrts out of the glass and flies right towards...] d7 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Brett (d7) and gets 2. [Makoto!] ( Rapture! ) [And he needs to move out of the way or something!] ( Disco Inferno just came on the playlist... ) (Burn baby burn!) ( o/~ burn, baby burn! o/~ ) (*breaks out the fire arrows. "What?) 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Makoto (2d6) and gets 5. [Makoto ducks as the lizard flies by over head, missing him by a hairs- breadth.] [Makoto's turn!] * Makoto growls a wordless curse and turns to chase the lizard down as he straightens. * Makoto lashes at the lizard creature with his speedily-whirling weapon, and hopes he doesn't hit anything he shouldn't... (There go the beakers of H2SO4!) 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Makoto (2d6-3) and gets 2. (* Makoto hits Chomei. This is okay, since there's no reason not to hit Chomei.) ( Hee! ) [Makoto manages to smack the thing, but it doesn't seem fazed much.] (And on his next turn, Chomei "accidentally" shoots Makoto.) (This degenerates into a brawl between the Mystery Club and... the rest of the Mystery Club.) [Chie's turn.] * Chie whispers a few words, and her sword glows with a silver light. She then swings at the thing and yells. "Spirit Stream!" The light flies at it, and... 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chie (2d6-2) and gets 2. [Chie blasts the thing!. It crashes against a wall, but when the stream ends, it keeps flying.] [Rei's turn] * SpiritRei looks at the lizard, then focuses on Mai Shu. She almost lazily tosses nothing at him. ~Do ya feel tingly, punk? Huh? Do ya?~ 2d6-1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for SpiritRei (2d6-1) and gets 4. [Mai Shu shakes his head and tries to strum the ax, but misses.] ~Hard to find it when there's three of them!~ [Meanwhile the scientists smirks. "Huh. Almost midnight. Perfect." Then he starts changing. His muscles grow so much that his shirt bursts, and his face changes into that of a wolf's. His body grows fur. When the transformation finishes, he howls.] [Lazar's turn!] Lazar! A werewolf! It's just what you've been waiting for, right? ( *cracks up* ) ( Who says he's a wolf? He could be a were.. uh.. bear! ) ( Or a werefurcoat. ) ... bah. What a puny werewolf. He barely even were-puppy. ( Bears don't howl. ) Who cares? Kick his ass anyways! * Makoto can't see this magical transformation because he's focused on keeping the lizard in the center of his field of vision. "A were-huh?" He snickers, "And you're the most sloppily put together golem ever. Oh. So *thaaaaat's* a werewolf. * SpiritRei stares. ~Uh, welcome from Transylvania. Or something. Your fur needs combing.~ * Lazar looks between Mai Shu and the werewolf, trying to decide who to deal with. After the comment, he decides. "People were in rush. Encounter with magic sword no help." * Lazar tries to grab Mai Shu, lift him up, and chuck him at the werewolf. 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Lazar (2d6-3) and gets 1. 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Lazar (2d6-2) and gets 5. ( Peace outside you know what I'm say! ) [Lazar picks up Mai Shu and tosses him across the room. The werewolf darts out of the way with inhuman speed ('cause, y'know, he's not human), and Mai Shu hits his head on the wall and falls, not getting back up.] [Chomei's turn!] Mmm. Fast for were-poodle. * Chomei aims quickly at the Were-thing and shoots an energy bolt at it. "Let's see you dodge arrows now." 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chomei (2d6-3) and gets 3. [Chomei shoots it in the shoulder with an arrow.] ( ... were-poodle. Now THERE's a fun image. =P ) [Maria's turn!] * Maria leaps at the lizard-thing and lashes out at it in mid-air! 2d6-5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Maria (2d6-5) and gets -1. [Maria smacks the thing in mid-air!] [Chie's turn!] * Chie makes her sword glow again. "Spirit Stream!" She fires at the lizard. 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chie (2d6-2) and gets 5. [Chie doesn't do so well this time; her attack flies right by the lizard (and Maria!) and smashes into some beakers and Breakable Stuff] [The lizard wheels around and attacks...] d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Brett (d6) and gets 1. [Chie!] [And she needs to defend!] Aww, *shit*. 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chie (2d6-2) and gets 6. 2d6+2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chie (2d6+2) and gets 11. [The lizard-thing claws at Chie as it darts by, catching her arm. It burns intensely, and then she starts to feel sluggish.] [Makoto's turn!] Owww! Uhhhhh.... * Chie staggers slightly. * Lazar notices Chie'd reaction out of the corner of his eye, and hisses. "Poison..." * Makoto doesn't spare a moment to even glance at Chie, but not because he isn't concerned about her. Spinning his yo-yo in a blur, he lashes out at the lizard's legs in the hopes of snagging one or both and grounding the beast. ~Poison? Poison's bad!~ * Maria curses. Girl down! Girl down! * Chomei glances over at Chie. "Dammit!" 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Makoto (2d6-2) and gets 3. * Lazar concentrates his glaire on the werewolf. "What kind poison that thing have? Is just make tired, or worse?" 2d6+1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Makoto (2d6+1) and gets 4. [Makoto wraps his yo-yo around the lizard's leg! It's surprisingly stronger than it looks, and Makoto has a hard time keeping a hold of his yo yo, much less bring the thing down.] [Rei's turn!] * Makoto snarls at the lizard as *it* drags *him* a few steps across the lab. "Sit STILL!" * SpiritRei looks worriedly at Chie for a moment, then zips over and grabs Makoto by the shoulders, using what passes for strength in this form to help pull at the thing. 2d6+2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for SpiritRei (2d6+2) and gets 11. [With the way the Wyvern's struggling and the awkwardness of TK, Rei has a hard time grabbing the yo yo.] ~Hold still, Barney!~ [The scientist, meanwhile, snarls at Lazar. "That, Blockhead, is a wyvern. Your friend won't last long. And neither will you." He leaps at Lazar, clawing at him!] * Chie blinks at that through the haze. "Y'know... I dunn like th'sound of tha'." 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Lazar (2d6-2) and gets 5. [Lazar avoids getting clawed. Good thing, too!] [Chomei's turn!] * Chomei turns to the Wyvern, a quick wind picking up around his bow. He whispers as he fires the white arrow that formed at the thing's wings. (Called Shot) 2d6-6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chomei (2d6-6) and gets 4. [In spite of being tied up, the wyvern maneuvers quite well. Chomei still manages to hit it, but not where he was aiming.] [Maria's turn] * Maria leaps at the wyvern again, seeing if she can't bring it down, this time. 2d6-5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Maria (2d6-5) and gets 1. (We need a 'chanter!) [Maria jumps and swings every which way and... hits the thing twice.] [Sure is a durable critter.] [Chie's turn!] (Yes, it is. ^^) * Chie staggers towards where the thing is being held. "Dammit... so slow..." She valiantly swings at it. 2d6-1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chie (2d6-1) and gets 11, a CRITICAL FAILURE!!! "Sorry, I don't take bribes. No, not even chocolate. No, not kinky sex acts, either." (...I hate my life.) (Yikes!) ( Chie is going to accidentally hit Makoto in the face, isn't she? ) (Quiet, otherwise the universe will turn you into a magical girl. Which wouldn't be *too* bad for Chie, but still...) [Chie misses the Wyvern, instead cutting the string of Makoto's yo yo.] (...I knew it.) ( Even worse! I've been nullified! ) (So did we...) [The wyvern, now free, turns to attack...] Fuck! Sorry... d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Brett (d6) and gets 6. [Maria! Maria needs a def roll.] (And I think Chie would absoultely *hate* being a magical girl. ;p) ( Durnit, why can't the poison enemy attack the guy with the 2 levels of Life Support? =P ) (Because that guy is made of rocks. :P) 2d6-4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Maria (2d6-4) and gets 2. [Maria easily avoids the attack.] [Makoto's turn!] * Makoto staggers backwards a few steps when the tension of the yo-yo string suddenly and sharply disappears. "Whu-- Chie!" He looks from the groggy swordswoman to the flying reptile. "... Toss me your sword!" * SpiritRei blinks as Makoto goes through her. ~Now that just sucks.~ [Ok, Lazar's turn] * Lazar growls at the were-nerd. "I know you have antidote in here somewhere... I no can kill you without silver or bulldozer, but I can make you life VERY painful..." *lunges at the werewolf, trying to pin its arms to its sides with a bearhug and SQUEEZE it* 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Lazar (2d6-3) and gets 4. [Lazar does just that! The werewolf grimaces. "I don't know why you act like you have a personality, but I don't care. I'll destroy you like the rest." And so saying, he attacks Lazar's own favored target area with his claws.] [Lazar gets clawed! Now, Rei's turn.] * SpiritRei looks around, hesitates for a moment, then picks up a metal wire wastebasket, hurling it at the werewolf (and hopefully not hitting Lazar). 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for SpiritRei (2d6-2) and gets 7. (...) (Missed. ... I still hope I didn't hit Lazar. ^^) [Rei hits an apple on a desk nearby. The poor thing's knocked off the table.] [Lazar's turn again!] (Cruelty to fruit, Rei. How could you?) (She bruised it!) [Now, Lazar's turn again] * Lazar grins nastily at the werewolf. "I very unusual golem. From Transylvania. You know what we do to werewolves in Transylvania when no have silver handy, while we wait for someone to go get silver?" *continues SQUEEZEing, trying to crush his arms and chest, while ading on some happyfun gnawing on the werewolf's face* (...you know, I wonder if I've actually got any silver on me.) (Bet PETER does.) (The wards Chie.) [Chomei's turn!] Now tell where antidote is! (I've got *tons* of it back in the shop. And, yes. The wards. Of *course*.) * Chomei curses and looses another shot at the Wyvern's wings, this one a basic energy bolt. "Go down already!" (Yay for forgetting about my equipment. ;p) 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chomei (2d6-2) and gets 4. [The wyvern wheels around the energy bolt!] [Maria's turn!] ( Aww, c'mon people. I'm GNAWING ON HIS FACE. Gimme some reaction here. ;_; ) * Maria leapkicks again! No, really. Honest. 2d6-5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Maria (2d6-5) and gets 5. (I missed that part of the description, and Chie's a bit out of it at the moment. ^^;) [Lazar is gnawing on the were-wolf's face! The were-wolf wonders why he didn't think of that.] [Maria misses the wyvern ;_;] [Chie's turn!] ( I'm not looking in your direction yet, Lazzie! I'm waiting for Chie to toss me her sword since she cut my yo-yo string. ) * Chie looks at the wyvern briefly, then at Makoto. "Makoto... CATCH!" She tosses her sword towards him. 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chie (2d6) and gets 3. 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Makoto (2d6) and gets 9. [Makoto fumbles the sword, and it clatters to the ground.] [The wyvern attacks....] d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Brett (d6) and gets 6. [Maria! Again!] 2d6-4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Maria (2d6-4) and gets 4. [Maria dives out of the way of the wyvern's attack, barely avoiding.] [Makoto's turn!] * Makoto mutters a string of expletives in German and kneels to pick the sword up off of the floor. [Rei's turn!] * SpiritRei zips down to pick up the sword and hand it to Makoto. ~Here, go get it and things! Barney must not terrorize us any longer!~ ( Yay! Speeding up the process of sword retrieval! ) (Go us!) * Makoto blinks as the sword covers the remaining distance to his hands by itself. "Thanks, Rei." [The scientist meanwhile chews on Lazar's face with his razor sharp teeth. The two are now trying to eat each other's faces. Or maybe kissing. It's hard to tell.] [Lazar's turn!] * Lazar continues the SQUEEZE, ending the gnawing and replacing it with repeated headbutts. "You tell me where antidote it, or I swear I spend next year testing out new ways to do circumcise on you!" [The werewolf's probably not going to talk, as it slips into unconsciousness when Lazar headbutts it.] [Who's that givin' Maria a hand? Chomei! Chomei!] * Chomei aims at the Wyvern and fires again! Com'on, die already! 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chomei (2d6-3) and gets 6. * Lazar growls. "Not even were-poodle. What more sissy than poodle?" ( Were-asthma-hount-chihuahua. ) [Chomei shoots the wyvern. It looks significantly weaker now, but is still flapping around.] [Maria's turn!] * Maria leaps at the wyvern again, snarling. 2d6-5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Maria (2d6-5) and gets 7, a CRITICAL FAILURE!!! "Looks like your thread just got cut. Sorry." (Yipe.) ( And diceie does it AGAIN. ) ( ... ) (...) (Hey, could we actually have things go *right* for once?) [Maria leaps at the wyvern, but it moves at the last second, and she winds up kicking Lazar in the back of the head instead.] ... ow! Ow! (Ouch. Poor foot.) You hit my head with you foot! (Yeah, that probably hurt Maria a lot more than it hurt Lazar.) [And Maria hurts her ankle a bit, too. Yes. :P] Yes! And it HURT! [Chie's turn!] ... not that much, really. * Maria stands on the back of Laz's head while she rubs her hurt ankle. * Chie decides that her best bet is probably to get out of the way, if such a thing is possible. So, she takes cover. (Total Defense) [The wyvern goes for...] d5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Brett (d5) and gets 1. [Chie again, of all people.] (-_-;) ( Goodness... ) ( Blame Dicey! He always picks the highest or lowest number! ) 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chie (2d6) and gets 7. [Chie gets clawed again just before she gets behind cover. She staggers a bit woozily, then loses consciousness.] [Makoto's turn!] Sorry... Chomei... * Chie collapses. Chie! * Makoto steps toward the flapping reptile and slashes visciously at it. 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Makoto (2d6-3) and gets 5. *glances at Chie* Dammit! *glares at Wyvern-dude* Someone check lab for antidote! I help deal with wyvern until were-moron wake up! 2d6+2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Lazar (2d6+2) and gets 5. [Makoto kills the wyvern-dude!... uh, just a wyvern. It falls to the ground and quits moving.] (Well, hey, at least my *weapon* got to deliver the finishing blow, even if I didn't.) ... or you all can look for antidote. *shifts grip to get the werewolf in a full nelson, to better control his arms and keep his teeth away from his face* * SpiritRei looks around, eyes widening. ~Oh shit oh shit oh shit! Chie!~ She zips over to her and pulls up the back of Chie's shirt, putting her 'hand' to the claw marks. The glow appears, though it looks out of nowhere. * Chomei runs ofer to Chie. "That you Rei?" * Chie 's tattoo is clearly visible now: purple and black butterfly wings that cover most of her back under her shirt. ~Yeah, it's me. You know any other astrally projecting sometimes psionic healers? C'mon, Chie.~ Damn... wiffle, or whatever. * Makoto snarls and slices the wyvern again, even though it's clearly dead. Com'on... wake up. ... everyone who not Rei, look for antidotes in meantime. It somewhere in here... somewhere easy to reach. * Chomei nods and starts looking frantically. "It's gotta be around here somewhere." Right. Antidote. * Maria looks for something antidotish! Maybe the labels on all the stuff is multilingual, too? * SpiritRei concentrates, and Chie's wounds heal completely, but she doesn't wake up. Rei opens her eyes and says weakly, ~Uh. Can't fix the poison.~ And then she looks at her left hand to see that it's really, really faded. ~Double shit.~ * Lazar cinches in the full-nelson and shakes the werewolf, trying to wake it up. "Come on... stupid were-bitch..." [After a minute were-wolf groggily opens its eyes.] ( Of course, shaking someone while having a full nelson cinched in is EXTREMELY painful in the shoulders and neck... =P ) * Makoto raises the weapon again and pauses long enough to give the wyvern a curious look. He lowers the sword and very carefully sets it on the floor, then pushes it a short distance away from him with his foot. He looks around the lab, blinking owlishly. "What..?" Find the fuckin' antidote! * SpiritRei looks up at Makoto. ~Are you okay? Oh yeah. We need an antidote.~ She puts a hand to her head and floats over to the shelves and cabinets near where the wyvern was kept, slowly looking through them and pushing aside various things. * Lazar stops shaking for a minute. "You awake? Good. Tell me where antidote is, or I make you wish for silver sword through heart." "An..." * Makoto gives Chie a pained look, even though she hasn't said anything. "How?" The doppelganger's voice is bitter. "You think there's going to be a box or a bottle that says 'Flying lizard poison antidote' in a language *YOU* can read?" The werewolf looks over at Chie and snickers, which turns into a laugh. "Antidote? Ha! I didn't have time to grab any antidote." ~Maybe I can find it. It's gotta be here somewhere- what?~ Yeah... I'm okay, Rei. * SpiritRei blinks. ~Wait! Wait. I have an idea.~ * Makoto is still watching Chie. ... but you know where to get? ~If we... uh, ow. If we can milk the wyvern, maybe an antidote can be made from the poison. The prof would probably know how. He knows... almost everything.~ * Chomei curses very loudly in Japanese. "And where *IS* the professor?!" "Sure. Back at the lab. In Transylvania." He laughs some more. "You'd never be able to get there in time." * SpiritRei floats down, looking at another shelf, in the same sluggish way she did before. Okay... doesn't it have to be alive to milk it? Let's just take the body and go. ~Oh, a lab in Transylvania. I guess that makes things easier.~ ( What if it's not female? ) ( Milk the vemon sacs, we mean. ) (*eyes Brett* Yeah. ^^;) * Maria turns and glares as harshly as she can manage at the Werewolf. You know how to make poison antidote? ~Someone... call in Dad and Eoi. They can take care of Mai Shu and Werewolf-chan. We sorta got to get to Transylvania.~ Okay. "I'm a SCIENTIST, not a PHARMACIST." * SpiritRei smiles a little. ~Maybe get some information out of them, too.~ * Makoto reaches into a pocket and digs out his cell phone, which he quickly uses to call Mr. Ueda. No, no Rei. Can make antidote here. He just saying only have it already made there. ~Are you sure?~ Pretty sure. * Chomei stops searching and walks to Chie's bag, searching for some of Chie's silver spirit wards. "We still have a were-wolf to get rid of. IF he doesn't co- operate." ... one second. Need do something. * Lazar runs toward a wall, and crashes into it werewolf first, trying to KO the werewolf again. [That sure works.] [Mr. Werewolf stops talking and stuff.] * Makoto mutters darkly. "Don't see why we can't gut the stupid fleabag and then cut its head--" He stops and winces when Lazar goes crashing around the room. ~Because he knows stuff we don't, and killing things like that is wrong, anyway.~ Oh. Right. ... gather up wyvern. And someone bring me Chie sword... no can kill it without silver or something ridiculous, like bulldozer, or volcano... but can make it so take LONG time to heal. * SpiritRei keeps looking for an antidote. * Chomei pulls out some of the wards. "These work Laz?" ~Don't kill him, Lazar.~ No. Only silver. And bring me sword now, before he wakes up. * Makoto shoots an accusing look at the bloody sword lying near his foot, and waits to speak with Mr. Ueda or his voicemail. (The wards *are* silver, actually.) * Lazar glares at where he thinks Rei is. "I no CAN kill him, Rei. That what I just said. Without silver, can only hurt bad, until heals." (Chie *uses* silver wards. <.<) * Makoto grips the phone between his shoulder and his ear and does what Lazar asked with the wyvern and the sword. ~He's *knocked out*. You don't need to do anything else!~ ~This isn't a fucking torture session, Lazar. Get over yourself.~ * Chomei takes a really deep breath. "Let him do his thing, Rei. He knows how to deal with werewolves." ... you no get it. Werewolf heal. FAST. I need do enough damage that it no wake up and sneak up on us. What I supposed to do? Carry it out into street with us? ~Well, the idea was we keep him under until Dad or Eoi or someone else gets here that can handle the rest of this.~ Can we? [Time is about 12:30] ~Lazar's doing a great job knocking him out.~ ... if we staying here, then I no need to chop up. I thought we was leaving. That's what he's doing Rei. Werewolves heal so fast that if you're *not* constantly damaging them, they'll regain conciousness the instant you leave your eyes off of them. * Makoto separates himself from the conversation by walking to the other corner of the room when somebody on the other end of the phone line actually picks up-- or at least in anticipation of that eventuality. I can just hold... no is going to break grip, and can knock out every time wakes up. * SpiritRei woozes, and would glare at Chomei, but really, she's too out of it. ~Fine. Whatever. Just... I don't want anything to do with it.~ She floats over to Chie and tries to shift her into a more comfortable position. * Chie is shifted. She flops nicely. ... I agreeing with you now, little one. * Chomei sits near Chie. "Whatever. We just need the antidote, and we're not getting it right now." [Session End]
