[Maria climbs up the side of Castle V... ah, the Asahara building. Start!] * Maria climbs! In the rain! She HATES the rain, but she's ignoring that, for now! [Maria gets wet.] * Maria HATES being wet, too. Which is part of why she hates the rain. * Rei is now known as SpiritRei * SpiritRei is now known as Rei [Maria reaches the top, eventually.] * Maria gets to the top! She heads back into the roof entrance, shaking herself dryish once she's out of the rain. * Maria gets all sneaky-like, thankful her hood kept her hair dry. She looks out into the hallway! [There is no hallway! There's only stairs that go down. There's also a rather loud alarm sounding.] * Maria frowns. Looks like the others set it off. The heads down the stairs until she finds a door into the rest of the building! [Maria goes down the stairs and finds a door.] * Maria opens the door if no lock is present. ( Gimme a stealth roll (concealment) at +1 ) 2d6-5 [Maria opens the door just a bit, so she doesn't alert the two assault- gun wielding guards that rush by, shouting, "Secure the perimiter! We've had an astral intruder!"] * Maria blinks. 'Had', he said. * Maria opens the door enough to step out once they've passed. Any sign of a restroom? If not, the guards just picked up a tagalong. [There appears to be a rest room guarded by one guard.] * Maria looks at the guard. Is he armed? [Yep! With an assault-rifle, natch. These guys come right out of a box of a dozen.] * Maria makes a note to steal his ammo clip if he gets uppity, and heads for the restroom. Stealthy-like, of course. ( Stealth (silent movement) +3 ) [Maria sneaks up to the restroom when the guy isn't looking. It happens to be the men's room.] * Maria doesn't care much. Does it have paper towels or one of those electric blow-dryers? [Electric. It's good for the environment!] * Maria scowls and starts seeing if she can dry off with this. [If Maria crouches low it might work.] * Maria does so. [Whirrrrr..... Maria gets hot air blasted on her, but as it's very centered, this may take a while.] [Not to mention she'll have to restart the machine six or seven times.] * Maria scowls. Screw this. * Maria goes to one of the stalls, gets some toilet paper that doesn't look like it's been the victim of a prank, and wipes herself dry. Faster and less noisy. [... That's one way to do it.] ( It certainly is. ) * Maria goes out into the hall once she's done and resumes skulking. How high is the cieling? What color are the tiles? [Ummm... 9 feet, white.] * Maria frowns. Are they the kind you can just push aside, or is she going to have to stay in the hallway like all the lame non-wallwalking people? [The game isn't scripted to let Maria do that, so she'll have to stay in the hallway. 'Sides, there's rats and maybe greasels up there.] ( *snicker* ) ( So I'll have to wait until I find an air vent. Right. ^_~ ) * Maria starts skulking down the hall in the direction the guards went earlier. Skulk skulk skulk. ( Stealth roll (silent movement!) +4 ) * Maria so stealthy, she make ninja look shameful. [Maria walks out into a hallway behind several crouching troops, who all have their guns pointed at this swirly thing on the wall.] * Maria blinks. Swirly thing? [Lazar comes out of a wall, and finds himself surrounded by troops wielding assault rifles. "Freeze!"] * Lazar hefts his sword. "No. You freeze!" * Maria scowls as one of the rent-a-troopers shouts, but doesn't do anything. Lazar can handle this better on his own.
