[Meanwhile, as per their wards orders, Keiko is tutoring Hotaru in German. Luana's not there. She's probably in her and Hotaru's room, doing her own busy work. But I guess I should describe the library, huh?] [The Great Library of Alexandria, it ain't. It's a much smaller room than what one would expect when one thinks of a library, although the room is still quite large, it's lined with book shelves on all walls, plus three rows of book shelves on far wall from the entrance. There's also a door that leads to the records room, and two tables with four chairs each.] (More brackets.) ( Got two channels to do here ) [The books have a limited selection: Most are history books, or deal with legal, civil and military subjects. There's some periodicals, but nothing like comics or fashion mags; only things like Time, International Geographic and the like.] [There's also some books on math, science, and boring stuff you'd expect to find in a school, but there's only one shelf for fiction. It doesn't look like it's used much.] [Curiously, though, there's also some books that deal with the occult. Just in case, y'know?] [There is a librarian! He's sixty-something, with white, curly hair that runs around his head like a C, and tiny spectacles that sit on the end of his nose.] [His name is Engelbert Fischer, you learned from somewhere. And in actuality, his job is more filing-related than librarianistic. But he fulfills both rolls so they don't ahve to pay two people to do it. He's busy filing stuff away now, though, and not paying attention to you.] [Taht took long enough to type out. Session Start!] * Keiko is sitting at a table! Yes, a table. There's a bunch of books next to her. Light books. She's wearing a blue dress today! And it's different from the one she was wearing a few days ago. Amazing. The plush duck is sitting atop one of the lightest books, which is hovering just off the table, and she's leaning on the table. She's a busy girl! * Hotaru sits at the table across from Keiko with a few books and a laptop propped up on front of her and she's still wearing sunglasses inside. Ten is standing on the table and if she had an expression, her body posture suggests it would be of annoyance. * Keiko looks off a moment, then looks back to Hotaru before starting in on a number of random phrases, in english first, then german. Short ones, like, "I like to attack squirrels," and, "If I am not fed in the morning, I get cranky." * Ten repeats them perfectly in English, but her German recitals, as long as she's repeating exactly what Keiko said, she gets them right most of the time. If asked to chang anything her verb-subject agreement tends to go out the window. * Keiko replies, A pause, then she lets the book drop to the table and looks to Ten. * Keiko takes the duck off the book and finishes, * Ten points at the librarian. * Keiko rolls her eyes and taps the table by Ten with her plush holding hand. She leans back in her chair and exhales. * Keiko exhales noisily. A small teasing smile. * Keiko says, dryly, * Ten points at herslf. ( You're too young to be recruited by Covenant ) * Keiko peers at her, then shakes her head. Gee, is that sarcasm? Can't imagine. * Keiko shoots off a quick, {She's good at delusions,} in Japanese, before running through the same set of phrases, over and over, in tenses. * Ten improves, faster than a normal person would, but not at a pace that could be called divine intervention. * Hotaru shifts positions occasionaly during the lesson, but never speaks. * Keiko doesn't seem particularly engaged, mainly because she's just rattling through phrases. The books start to lift of their own accord. It's a few minutes before something interesting happens, and the interesting thing is the book suddenly flying way up into the air and hitting the ceiling. Her eyes track it up and she says, in a small voice, "Oops." * Ten looks up. "I knowing that you are bored, but pay some attention." * Keiko replies, in german, "I can talk and lift books at the same time." She catches it as it floats down, in her hands, and puts it down on the table. "Mostly." Mostly. * Keiko frowns and says, snippily, "You don't need to parrot. I have my own learning to do." She pets her duck a moment, then starts in on a new set of sentences. * Ten finishes the set with the same ammount of profiency. "Forgive I... no, me, we all have tasks." * Keiko looks between Ten and Hotaru a moment, before nodding. "Yeah. Yeah we do. Hasn't been..." she trails off, then says a bit more bitingly, "Could be worse." The book rises off the table again, after the time passes, and then she chuckles to herself and starts another set of sentences. Although these all are using old TV characters as the proper nouns. * Ten shows no sign of recognising who any of those people are. "Must strive." * Keiko mms slightly and asks, "Why?" Beat. "Besides, well, the geas." Yes, she actually uses geas. * Ten faces Keiko. "Because I, you, alive." She points at Hotaru. "She too, in way." * Keiko tilts her head, then says, slowly, "You mean in general. Self improvement." A pause, then a small chuckle as she looks to Hotaru and gives her a smile. "In all the ways that count." * Ten tilts her head. "If say so." * Keiko taps her head, then says, "'If _you_ say so.' 'Because we are alive.' 'She is too, in a way.'" * Ten nods. "If you say so. Because we are alive. She is too, in a way." * Keiko replies, "It's much easier from conversation." Beat, then, slowly, "I am from Japan. Where are you from?" * Ten shrugs. "I do not know. I was... in the dark. She has not memory of where from." * Keiko closes her eyes and says, after a moment, "Summoned." Beat. "Where is she from?" * Ten nods. "Summoned. I said, she has not memory." * Keiko mms and says, "I could try to fix that." She looks to Hotaru again. * Hotaru is impassive! How many times say? Stay out. * Keiko replies, in a stacatto manner, "How many times must I say it? Stay out." * Ten bobs her head. "Most useful. How many times must I say it? Stay out." * Keiko replies, with a thin smirk, "You might as well know that one well. I'm not trying to steal her from you. You're just being annoying." You too. * Keiko shakes her head and taps the table. "You never know, Ten. Talking without being able to be detected... not such a bad thing, is it?" I have radios. They not as distracting to her. * Keiko frowns a little. "You mean they don't make you as scared." She sighs a little, then, "'They are not as'." * Ten folds her arms. "She must to keep me here. If distract...ing...ed, or lose I can not stay and she... You remember training?" She me, and I protect her. * Keiko has a thin frown on her face as she ticks off on her fingers. " is 'Concentrate'. That one I know." Beat, then, ' is 'sustains'." Concentrate and sustains. What is the root? Sustain. * Ten bobs her head. ( The root of concentrate is rate! The root of sustains is stain! ) * Keiko rubs her face and murmurs something unhearable in Japanese. After a moment, she says, "I don't know ." She looks around, and then grabs a book off the shelves into her hands, via TK, and starts flipping through it. * Ten waits and watches. * Keiko frowns and says, "... faith. Okay." A small chuckle. "Not something I deal with much..." she trails off, in her moment of introspection. It not your existance. * Keiko says, idly, "'It's not your existance,' Ten." She looks up a moment and pets her duck idly, silent. (Gotta go back home. Be back in 10.) * Ten unfolds her arms. "I didn't hear a difference." * Keiko looks down to her after a moment and says, slowly, "It is not your existance. What problem do you have with 'to be'?" It is redundant. * Keiko chuckles. "So is me talking, but you want me to do it." Not all your words not ... not... * Ten gives up. * Keiko leans forward on the table, showing off her boobies. Woo! She's such a show off. "Necessary, Ten. And I know... trust me, I know." A faint teasing smile as she adds, telepathically, ~So much simpler.~ * Ten tries to glare at Keiko, she realy does. "Stay OUT!" * Keiko glares at the doll as she continues, ~You were the one whining about necessary and not. It's not necessary for me to speak out loud. So as long as you're gonna complain about that, I'll just talk to you here. Deal?~ * Ten keeps up her end of the animosity. * Keiko replies, out loud, (Sorry that took so long, had a lot of deleating things for being OOC) (Heh.) * Keiko stands up and starts to pace around the table, as she parrots Ten's words. "You seem so reasonable for a brief moment and then you do this again! Why do you not listen?" "It is a necessity for me, if not for you." * Ten switches languages to match. "You keep trying same things, so I say same things!" * Keiko laughs a little to herself, then says, "I was just wanting you to learn what you said. And I'm trying the same things because I don't want to do anything but talk." She frowns as she gets closer to Hotaru on the other side, and then finishes, "Say the damn words, already." * Hotaru edges away from Keiko. * Ten glances at Hotaru and she moves back. "Stay out... of her head." * Keiko flinches very slightly for a moment, then sighs a little and says, "Yes, yes, I get it. Do the language stuff already." * Ten gives Hotaru another look and then tries to repeat Keikos words back to her. "You seem so reasonable for brief moment, and then you do this again. Why do you not listen? It is a necessisity me, if not for you." * Hotaru reaches down and clutches the edges of her chair. * Keiko pauses a second before her eyes narrow, and puts her hands down on the table, hard. "It is a necessity _for_ me, if not for you." For me. * Keiko nods curtly and clutches the duck tighter for a moment, before taking three slow breaths and taking a step back from the table. * Ten paces across the table for a moment. * Keiko looks down at her and says, She shifts her arms so that it's more crossing than clutching, and continues walking around the table. "'If you did as I asked, we woud not have these problems. Is it unreasonable to keep your mind to your self?'" (is it that unreasonable, even.) * Ten shakes her head. Her tone flattens as she recites "If you did as I asked, we would not have these problems. Is it that unreasonable to keep your mind to your self?" * Keiko gets back to her chair and looks at the both of them, saying, Beat, then, She sits down in her chair. "Try repeating this one. 'If you do not want me to see you with these eyes, I will not look at you with them.'" * Ten touchers a hand to her lips, as if she were covering a smile and sounds amused before she starts recite. "If you do not want me to see you with these eyes, I will not look at you with them." * Hotaru relaxes a bit. * Keiko frowns and replies, She pets the duck a moment, then says slowly, "Let's repeat these." Time for more rote! Woo! * Ten repeats rote! (More, or done?) (I think we're done.) (Felt like it, yeah. Okay then!) [Session end!]
