It's the day someone (probably Heinrick and Roseli, but if they don't like it maybe someone over their heads) decided you guys gotta learn to work together.] [So they took you to a small room and demanded you hug each other at gun point.] [Ok, maybe not. What actually happened was they told you to go to the Holoroom.] (Wooho--aww.) (;__;) [But not Luana. Nope.] [Anyhow, go ahead!] (Aww, now exploding Keiko's mind with Keika-vision(tm) * Keiko is in green today. Sure! Green. We love green. With the duck. She tugs at her collar slightly and glances at the other girl and her Tentoy. * Hotaru walks in to the holoroom, dressed in a loose fitting blue dress and her shades, she looks seren as usual. She is holding Ten on a tray as always. Good day Keiko. * Keiko smiles a little a moment, then says, the smile fading. "Well enough, I guess." What more could you want? * Keiko tugs on her collar a bit more and darts her tongue out to the corner of her lip. "Do you have a piece of paper to write it all down?" * Keiko adds, after a moment, "Don't worry, it's not like this is a... genchamber." * Ten stares at Keiko. "Most writing implments are too large for me, and giving one to Hotaru would be a cruel joke." ( Today's mission: Write the names of the seven continents 500 times each. ) * Keiko tilts her head, then, "She can lift you, she can certainly lift a pen." It's not a matter of lifting it, it's a matter of being able to use it. [The door the the room opens, and in walks a scary looking lady. She's fairly tall, looming over the two of you, and looks to be in her early thirties. She wears a dark trenchcoat over black slacks and a black sweater. Plus her shoulder-length hair is black, too! But what actually makes her scary is the red light from her right eye.] * Hotaru balances Ten on one hand while she reaches up with her other and pulls down her sunglasses, she has tan lines across her face and her eyes are, two small creases without eyelashes. * Ten looks at Keiko. "She has no eyes." * Ten then looks at this new person while Hotaru puts her glasses back on. * Keiko frowns and says, "I'm sure she can manage to..." and then she looks a little confused before the glasses come off. And then she puts her bare hand to her mouth. "I..." she swallows and then suddenly glances over to the new person, her mouth opening a little in surprise. Wow. [Her other eye's green, incidently.] [And not glowing.] [Normal green.] [Actually kind of a brownish-green.] [She looks the two of you over. It's kind of unnerving, with that red eye of hers.] ( She's a Cylon! ) * Ten is the goddess of machines, somebody else with an implant isn't going to do much to her. * Hotaru on the other hand is sutibly cowed, but Hotaru's the only one who can tell! * Keiko closes her mouth and bites her lip. Her lip starts to curl, almost sneerlike. It looks odd on her. ["My name is Gertrude Himmel. I'll be running today's simulation. It's a simple one that Red team was able to complete without difficulty. Try not to fail it."] Will I be allowed the assistance of any of my followers? [Gertrude nods. " You'll more than likely need them. They'll be there when the simulation starts."] Very well then. [She turns and leaves without another word.] ( AFK while she goes to the op room and sets things up ) * Keiko watches her go before murmuring, "Cold." She is, and she failed to give us our objective. * Keiko looks up towards the observation room. "She'll tell us when we're in the simulation... at least, that is how it's worked before." ( Your objective is to eat five sets of pants! Go! ) I have not been part of any group simulations yet. * Keiko mms a little and then mutters, "Well, hopefully it'll involve less running than last time." ... That would be good, yes. [A langscape loads! You're standing at the edge of a forest. Ahead, you can see a large, two-story mannor surrounded by a ten-foot gate... Not unlike the Weiss building. Only this one looks more Victorian. Plus, behind it there's a cliff.] ( landscape! ) ( With a D! ) (It's a lagscape! It shows up slowly!) ( And instead of gate, put brick wall. ) ( Though there is a gate in there. Just... it doesn't surround the place. ) * Keiko looks around a bit, to get her bearings. [Gertrude speaks! "This is the mannor of a wealthy corprate elite who's presumed to be in league with Islamic terrorists. Intel reports a set of documents somewhere in the mannor which can prove this connection. Your objective is to recover these documents. Intel also reports several armed guards within the mannor: at least eight, maybe more."] ["In addition, his wife and four year old son are on the grounds. Your secondary objective is to either avoid contact or eliminate them if you're seen."] ["You have one hour to get in and out with the documents."] ["Begin."] * Ten looks at Keiko. "Can you reach their minds from here?" (How far away are we from the building? I mean, the answer is no, but.) ( About 50 feet from the wall, and then another 60 from the building itself.] ) [Incidently, Ten's gizmos appear with the landscape.] * Keiko grimaces, then says, "No. Nothing so easy." She looks at the distance and licks her lips. (Is it midday?) * Ten doesn't wait for Keiko to respond before she starts trying to feel out the electronic security on the house. ( Yep! ) ( But there's no civilization in sight, aside from the mannor. ) * Keiko follows after her, frowning as well This is not good. (well.) * Ten stops behind a tree. * Hotaru did that! * Keiko gets near Ten and mutters, "I need to get pretty close. But I'm not... 8 people is too many." If they are foolish enough to stand where I can see them, they can be avoided. Or they could have an insuficient interior security system. * Ten points at the helecopters and then the house. Her five helecopters rise into the air and start to circle the house, the smaller ones close to the top of the wall and the larger pair close to the tree line. She's trying to look in the windows. * Keiko chews her lip and says, "Do they have cameras?" There are two pointed at the gate, and one at each corner. There are two guards outside, and one in each wing and floor. The child is in the right wing. Can you handle two guards at once? * Keiko smiles a little. "Depends on if they like eachother." * Keiko then says, "I'm more worried about guns. Loud guns." That, would be quite bad. It's okay. I'm here." She kneels down and puts her hand to her shoulder. * Hotaru shakes. "Not okaynotokaynotokayawaykeepaway." * Hotaru also flinches when Keiko touches her. * Ten 's helecopters meanwhile continue to circle untill they get back to the point closest to the PCs and land themselves. * Keiko replies, "I know, I know, she's gone, but I'm here. I'm here." She reaches out telepathy-wise to her mind. Maybe she can fix it, for now. * Keiko grits her teeth and shudders, repeating to herself, "Not afraid... not afraid... not afraid..." 2d8 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Keiko (2d8) and gets a natural 10 for a result of 10. [Shortly later, the gate to the wall opens.] [A guard comes out and starts walking your way. He's wearing a black suit and shades, and has a pistol pointed upwards, at the ready.] * Ten whispers. "Here he comes." * Keiko takes a deep breath, as her shield comes online just in case... and then she focuses her mental energy on trying to grab the guard in the grip of her mind control. Boss keeps them in a safe."] * Ten checks on the locations of the other two outside guards. [They're still patrolling the grounds. They cast glances at the gate from time to time though.] * Ten also checks for a room with a piano in it. * Keiko steps a bit closer and says, soothingly, "Do you know what the combination is?" ["No."] What manner of lock? * Keiko echoes Ten's question. "What kind of lock?" ["Keypad combination."] *** Rowyn is now known as RowynSleepyn Are there any locked doors between here and there? * Keiko echoes the question again! Doesn't even bother rephrasing. ["All entrances to the mannor, and the room itself."] Where are the keys? * Keiko echoes the question again! These are good questions. ["The master and the guard in the security room have keys to the entrences. The guard stationed in the piano room also has a key."] Dispose of this one, his companions are coming. * Keiko says, glaring at him, "You saw nothing out here but an animal. Go back inside and resume your patrols, but do not alert if you see us." [He does!] * Ten nods. "That was wiser." [The other guards meet him at the gate. He says something, and they all go inside.] * Keiko glances to Ten and smiles a little. "I... have learned a few things in my time." A pause, then, "I can hold the control on him for another handful of minutes." A small sigh, then, "I might be able to send him into a frenzy, that would draw attention, but the keys." [You have about 40 minutes remaining to complete the mission.] The keys are inside, so we must make them open the door for us. * Ten thinks. "Perhaps if our friend felt an urgent need to releave himself." * Ten looks at the cameras on the gate. We have to get there quickly." She looks back, and sends the rabbits towards the door, so as to make the following more difficult. "Come on!" ["Okay." He walks a bit faster!] (Are you going to make me Genie rules lawyer every mind control person?) [Meanwhile, one of the guards (the unhurt one), runs towards the front of the house,, possibly to look for whatever was shooting at him and his buddy. The hurt guard tries the door. Is Ten still holding it shut?] [The third guard's still groggy.] * Hotaru is trying, and will lock it next turn if she can! ( Opposed body! -2 bonus from rabbits. ) 2d8-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Ten (2d8-2) and gets a natural 11 for a result of 9. (Missed by 4!) [Ten barely manages to keep the door shut. Her turn!] * Hotaru LOCKS THE DOOR! [It's locked! [As a matter of fact, there's a guard in the opposite wing, making his way towards you!] [He's got a pistol in one hand, taser in his other.] ( I'm gonna head to bed in an hour. Hopefully we'll finish by then. ) ( If not... Maybe we can finish tomorrow. ) * Keiko reaches down to steal her guy's gun and take a potshot the other guard. Whether she can hold onto the gun after the firing is another matter, but that's not the point. Also, rabbits swarm her previously MCed friend. He howls and clutches his shoulder.] [The man rushes towards the foyer, brandishing the stun gun. And a guard shoots at Hotaru through a window from outside, but misses.] [Hotaru!] * Hotaru makes with the runnings and the shootings. 2d8-1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Ten (2d8-1) and gets a natural 13 for a result of 12. (And the wiffings) [Whiff. Keiko is meanwhile carried up the stairs. Up there, she sees a guard standing outside a door to her left.] [Her turn] (Is that the way we're going?) ( Yep! ) * Keiko says, "Let me go, but keep leading me, take your gun back, and give me the key to the piano room." She wriggles out of his grip and hands him back his gun real quick. Once he gives her the key, the field's going back up. [So complicated. But he does!] (That's Keiko's life. Complicataed.) [But once she's free of him, the guard at the door apparently feels free to use his pistol instead of his stun gun. He takes a shot at her! And the guard below takes a shot at Hotaru. And there's the sound of some glass shattering from the wing you came through.] (Deff rolls?) [Keiko] * Keiko grits her teeth, dropping the field for a round and trying to use her friend as shielding. "Where is the piano room?" [He points at the door the other guard is, well, guarding.] * Keiko nods and says, "Go help Keiko, the other girl I was with, get up here, using any force necessary on anyone who threatenes her." As for Hotaru, she's inside the dining room and doesn't know what's going on in the hall. But the guy out front finally spots her tank and takes a shot at it.
