[Day: Sunday, Nov. 9th, 2081. Time: 9:00 p.m.] [After quite possibly the most exciting dinner you've ever had unless you've ever been to that Medieval one where you get to watch the knights joust while you eat, you stood around waiting for people to show up and tried not to bleed to death.] [It didn't take long, actually, as police and ambulances (ambulae?) arrived shortly. They pushed through the crowd (which gathered once they realized the shooting stopped), herded you aboard and drove you off towards the hospital.] [But you weren't there long either before another ambulance showed up, herded you all inside and drove you back to the compound. As for the guys you captured, you lost track when the police took them.] [And nowwwwwwwwwww you're in the medical bay. I don't think I've ever described it before, so...] (Are we supposed to, as policy, just listen to the cops when they show up? ^^;) [The medical bay is a large room with about twelve beds, six on each side. They're seperated by thick curtains that go all the way around. There's two chairs which look like they're set up for surgical operations, and don't interrupt, I'll get to that.] [I mean, yeah, that's pretty much it. If you're planning to say something to the cops, tell me now.] (I just bleed on them and my doll thanks) (Well, I more mean... well, this is sorta the Guardian's area, but isn't this a jurisdiction fight? Or are we supposed to not admit that we work for the government in any way?) [Otherwise, you're examined by the two doctors. The handsome Hans Pasch, a lean, handsome thirty-something with sharp-looking glasses and blond hair parted down the middle.] [And the muscular Doctor Albrand Siebert: with his close-cropped hair, and his thick red goggles, he looks more like he belongs in a Section 1 strike force than in a medical profession.] [There's also two nurses of no real import.] (Yeah, we kind of captured who we did for a reason. Seems weird to just hand them off to the cops unless there's either no detainment or some collaboration between the police force and our agency.) [So now the medical report: Dr. Hans is just finishing up checking Luana, who just needed a few bandages. Keiko and Heinrick are injured and instructed to avoid strenuous activity for the next few days. Roseli, Karin and Hotaru are confined to their beds. That's not fun.] [Ok, so, I'm done now.] [Session Start already.] ( Man, I felt like I was starting another game or something. ) (It was a lot of [].) (It was. And some ().) [Dr. Siebert fills out reports, while Dr. Pasche pats Luana on the shoulder. "Looks like you'll be fine, kid." He winks. Neither of the doctors asked questions about what happened. Aren't you glad?] Thank you, sir. * Luana blushes slightly when he pats her. * Hotaru has been patched up and isn't bleeding all over everything any more, this is a good thing. She is however still clutching the bloodstained Ten to her chest. * Keiko is sitting up on her bed. She's bandaged in various places, black dress damaged, and looking fairly beat up. She was very stiff when the guys were examining her, and answered almost no questions usefully. What a change! * Keiko has the plush back in her hands as well. It looks like it needs to be cleaned. * Roseli is... asleep. She passed out soon after the fight, and she doesn't seem like she wants to wake up any time soon. [Dr. Siebert looks at a tray of bullets he pulled from most of you, frowns, and makes a few notes.] ( That's not very exciting D: ) * Keiko looks like she's in a very bad mood, as well. * Luana has some scrapes that don't need bandages, but otherwise just has a large bandage around her foot where she was shot. Her clothes are, unfortunately, too ripped to be worn again, unless Luana suddenly went punk or something. She turns to Hotaru and Ten. "If you need anything, let me know and I'll bring it to you," she offers. [Karin is propt up into a sitting position with a pillow. "Ow. This still hurts."] When one of you that is capable of operating a doorknob finds the opportunity, I would like a change of clothes, a sponge bath, and the head of the person who decided this this body was not to be dishwasher safe. * Heinrick is pacing. Pacing isn't strenuous right? His arms are behind his back as he does so but he's not saying much. His brow is knit tightly as he does so. The heads of the people who attempted to kidnap us can wait untill I'm more presentable. [It doesn't take long before Lydia enters the room. She has a manila folder tucked under an arm, and doesn't look too happy. "How are you doing?"] * Keiko mutters, bitterly, "We barely even got to eat. How..." she trails off, then looks to Lydia, still lookin' angry! * Ten looks down Hotaru's body. "I have been worse, I doubt my priestess has." * Roseli twitches, mutters, and Z's some more. I'm relatively unscathed. [Dr. Hans (un)helpfully adds, "They got pretty banged up, but they'll all be okay."] * Keiko glares at her for a few moments longer, then puts her left hand on the top of her duck and strokes it lightly as she looks elsewhere. A heartbeat meter or something. * Heinrick looks over at Lydia, not changing his expression. "I am not happy. I wish to know why my ward was targetted." [Lydia nods. "So would I." She glances at the medical staff. "If you'll excuse us?"] ~Do you think we can go to the cafeteria after Lydia leaves?~ [The two doctors exchange glances, then they and the nurses head out into the hall. Lydia waits until they close the door, then says, "I want to know every detail."] * Keiko 's body tenses up a moment. After Luana's thought she thinks back, ~Your guardian's not even awake. Who will stop you?~ (I'll have you know that I'm Ten's guardian, not hers!) (Ha! Sorry. s/awake/around.) (Her guardian isn't there!) (My guardian is invisible! DX) ~I feel like I ought to report to Dr. Kerner, but I think he'd understand if I wanted to eat first... I think....~ * Keiko stands up and says, "Except for getting blown up, I didn't really get much. Didn't really have the time." Beat. "Can I go get Luana something to eat?" ~I'll bring you back something if they let me go.~ The restaurant exploded. In the smoke, five men rushed in. They had infrared goggles to see through the smoke so obviously they were prepared. I wasn't certain what language they spoke, but one of them knew english. It wasn't their main language though. The leader targetted my ward and fired twice at her shield. First time was deflected. The second contained a knockout formula of some sort. Then they attempted to contain her. ~Oh, thanks!~ * Keiko thinks back, with a bit more bitterness, ~Don't count on any sympathy from her for either of us.~ ~I think I need to start carrying energy bars wherever I go. Along with a gun.~ [Lydia nods. She looks at Keiko. "Any ideas why they wanted you?"] * Keiko looks to Lydia a moment, clearly still angry, then she says sarcastically, "Any idea why you want me?" A beat, then she mutters, "I'm guessing there's some overlap." * Heinrick folds his arms. "If the police had not interfered, we could have been interrogating two of them right now." * Heinrick then gives Keiko a Look. [Lydia narrows her eyes at Keiko. "We have them in custody," she says to Heinrick. "We'll be interrogating them later."] Good. I wish revenge for this outrage. * Heinrick uncrosses his arms and lets out a breath, adjusting his glasses. "That is a relief to hear. At least something went right." He narrows his mouth slightly. ["You and me both. Your team isn't even active yet, and you've already been targetted."] * Keiko nods along with the revenge sentiments. She glances to Heinrick a moment, then back to Lydia to repeat, "Luana wants something to eat. Let me go and get it." ["I don't think so. You'll be staying right here for a full examination, until we determine how they found you."] * Roseli stirs again. She opens her eyes, stays that way for a moment, and then passes out. ~Thanks anyway, Keiko.~ * Heinrick gives Lydia a look. "I will go if you don't mind. Our wards never had a chance to eat. It wouldn't do to have them starving before even being placed on a mission." [Lydia nods to Heinrick. "Very well."] Thank you, sir. * Keiko looks over to the doctors and then her entire body posture tenses up. She crushes the plush to her. My priestess will pass, thank you. * Heinrick nods and turns to them. "Oh it's no concern. What can I get you ladies?" 2d8-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Keiko (2d8-2) and gets a natural 11 for a result of 9. Spaghetti, please. And some water. 2d8-5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8-5) and gets a natural 6 for a result of 1. * Keiko looks at Heinrick a moment... and then she closes her eyes and murmurs, "Whatever. Something." * Keiko turns away, still in a tense body posture. * Heinrick tilts his head slightly and then shrugs his shoulders a little before going to the cafeteria. ~Can I do anything to help you?~ [Once Heinrick's gone, Lydia turns her attentiont to Karin. "And you, what were you thinking, taking so many of them out of the compound?"] * Keiko thinks back, ~I... don't think so. Tired. Don't want to be here.~ (Okay, while Karin's getting the runaround, I'm gonna start running home. Cham wants his sleep. Logger's continuing.) [Karin blinks. "I thought it would be good for them to -" Lydia cuts her off. "Obviously, it wasn't."] [Karin frowns. "I had permission from Director Graf."] [Lydia shakes her head. "An obvious mistake that won't happen again. For the time being, all wards are prohibited from leaving the compound. And you, Ms. Oswald, you're on probation."] [Lydia turns. "Now, if you don't mind, I've got some prisoners to interrogate. I want to know who dared to attack us, and I want them shut down." She leaves.] Finaly she speaks sense. * Keiko watches her go, then mutters, "What was the point of that? Keeping me here, just to leave?" [The medical staff comes back in.] * Ten would turn her head to glare at Keiko, but Hotaru's breats are in the way. "Because if we are in here, whoever wishes to kidnap us will also have to come in here, and be shot at by the base staff on their way." (breasts even) * Keiko looks at Ten and snaps, "No, I mean _here_, in this room, not--" she cuts herself off as the med staff comes back in. * Heinrick returns as well. With spaghetti for Luana and an apple for Keiko. He still doesn't look pleased but he's coping with it. After giving out food, he glances at Roseli's general direction for any signs of stirring. * Luana takes the food with another 'thank you' and begins eating slowly. [Hans looks at Keiko. "Hey kid. We've got to run some tests on you. Boss's orders."] * Heinrick looks at Hans and raises an eyebrow. "Indeed? What is the nature of these tests?" * Keiko has gone to running her finger over her collar idly. She looks slowly to Heinrick, then to Hans, then back to Heinrick. [He shrugs. "I thought we'd start with an X-ray, then move up to a CAT scan, tachyon scan... You know, tests."] Oh, I'm sorry. I thought there were *orders* for a certain *type* of test. Not a free-for-all. ["Yeah, well. We've also got to check her belongings."] * Keiko takes a step away from both Heinrick and the doctor at the ongoing discussion. She looks at the apple in her hand a moment, then bites down on it hard. Well, as hard as she can manage. At the word 'belongings' she takes another step away. Realy, one would think that this is, in fact, a test to see how far she can be provoked. [Hans sighs and runs a hand through his hair. "Look, maybe you can talk to Lydia, ask her to let you do it. It's not something I'm comfortable with."] * Heinrick pushes his glasses up. "These orders may come from the director, but she is still my ward. I would like to know the purpose of these * Luana hops off her seat and goes to stand quietly by Keiko. 'tests'. But it seems no one wishes to inform me of anything." [Siebert steps up. "If Hans isn't going to do it, I will."] * Keiko glances to Luana, then downward, as she thinks at her, ~I don't want them to take my things. I don't have many of them.~ * Heinrick looks at Siebert. "If this is an order, I at least wish to be present during this." * Luana nods. "Excuse me, doctor? Will... um, will Keiko's thing be... be returned to her? Once they've been checked?" She seems as if she's trying very hard to not shy away. (*things) (We're taking her thing, she isn't allowed to use it anymore) [Siebert nods. "Of course."] (Especially her clothes.) ~Is that... okay?~ (Was that "Of course" to Heinrick or Luana?) [The conversation is interrupted by a timely opening of the door, and a woman appears. She's in her early twenties, wearing a black suit and trench coat, with what looks like a lightning bolt over the breast pocket. She's about average height, with straight-falling waist-length blond hair. Her eyes are green, hidden behind glasses. She's carrying a boquet of flowers in her hand. "Hello!" In case you've forgotten, it's Iris Koenig of Sect ( That get through? ) (cut off at Koenig of Sect ) (Iris Koenig of Sect) ( ion 3 ) (And the "Of course"? Heinrick or Luana?) ( Both! ) (How convenient!) * Keiko suddenly glares at Ten, and then thinks back, ~No, not really--~ and then Iris comes in. She gives the woman a glance and then looks away again. (She rides the emotional rollercoaster like what.) [Karin tries to wave, then winces. "Hey, Iris. What brings you here?"] * Heinrick looks at the new comer, hands behind his back. ["I heard you were hurt. You guys all right? If you need me to take care of anyone, let me know."] 2d8-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Keiko (2d8-2) and gets a natural 10 for a result of 8. There are some blood sacrifices to be made, but we don't know who they are yet. 2d8-5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8-5) and gets a natural 9 for a result of 4. * Keiko says quietly, but a bit angrily, "They should be letting me ask questions too." Anger still boils. [A girl brushes right by Iris. She's maybe eighteen, with shoulder-length blond hair and the same blue eyes as Iris. She's wearing a black body suit and a leather jacket. In case you've forgotten, it's Cyra Koenig, from Red team. Anyhow, she brushes past Iris and runs to Karin's bed, wrapping her arms around the woman. Karin winces, but it doesn't show in her voice. "Hi Cyra."] ( That get through? >.> ) (Yes) (... wow. Cyra showing emotion.) * Heinrick looks at Keiko for a moment. "Why Miss Hanano, do you know something they should know?" [Karin looks over. "We're supposed to, normally. But this isn't a normal situation."] * Ten snorts. * Heinrick glances at Karin. "Because we are not, officially, on duty yet?" * Keiko takes another step back as Cyra runs through the room, then swallows and looks up to Heinrick. She then says quietly, but still with a bit of heat, "I want to know too. And I'm not in bed." She then turns away. "Instead... tests. And..." and then Heinrick is distracted, and she stops. (Heinrick distracted! Sure! If you wanna believe that.) [Karin shakes her head. "Because we're supposed to be the ones doing the attacking. Lydia's totally unprepared for a situation like this, and it's showing."] * Heinrick lets out a breath. "That's pleasant. When your boss shows less preparedness than you do." [Iris nods. "When she loses it, she loses it. I'm glad I didn't get stuck in this section. No offense." She winks.] [Karin frowns. "At least she hasn't accused me of being a double agent. Yet."] * Keiko thinks to Luana, ~Some of us didn't get a choice.~ * Heinrick raises an eyebrow at Karin. "*Are* you one then?" * Roseli stirs again. She blinks her eyes open and watches the conversation. ~Well, I'm glad you're here with me.~ [Karin smiles at Heinrick. "I led you there, and I didn't catch the sniper when I left you alone. For all you know..."] I had been lead to belive that this place was to be more professional, it seems I was misinformed of the magnatude of that increase. [Iris shakes her head. "Karin, that's stupid. I've known you my whole life." She looks at the rest of you. "Seriously, that's stupid. She wouldn't betray anyone."] * Heinrick doesn't comment on that, but instead looks over at Roseli. "Ah, Miss Tavares. You're awake." * Keiko moves a little closer to Luana and thinks back, ~I... me too. Strange, but...~ she mentally trails off, then, ~I really don't like those doctors. The goggled one... he's cold." ( You'll hurt his feelings :( ) * Roseli nods slowly and looks around. "Med Bay?" ~We'll just have to train harder so we'll never have to come here again, then.~ [Karin smiles at Roseli. "Evenin'."] * Heinrick puts his hands in his pockets and nods curtly. "It is kind of a hard environment to miss." * Keiko manages a weak laugh, from her fallback position. ~So we woulda known about the bomb before it blew up?~ Yes, they've decided we're worth salvaging. [Cyra's still crushing her, but she doesn't seem to mind.] * Heinrick glances at her from the side. "How are you feeling?" Like shit. Less tired. * Heinrick pushes his glasses up his nose. "Shit. But alive at least. You and your ward performed admirably." [Karin coughs. "Uh... Guess I should apologize. Sorry for the way that meal went."] * Roseli blinks at Karin. You blew up the restuarant? * Heinrick looks at Karin oddly. "Did you plan for the restaurant to explode?" (Restaurant) * Keiko says out loud, to Karin, "It was a... nice try." ["Of course not. I wouldn't do that. I liked their teriyaki too much."] * Heinrick shrugs out his elbows slightly. "Then I fail to see why an apology is necessary. It could have happened any time we went out. * Luana says hesitantly, "It's, ah, as much my fault as yours, Karin. I was hoping the waitress would attack." She blushes and looks down at her feet. * Keiko blinks and then laughs weakly. "And I didn't even tell her to. I'd... forgotten." [Karin blinks at Luana, then snickers."] ... Why would you wish for something like that? Being... -outside-, and not on a mission, makes me uncomfortable. * Heinrick looks at Luana. "If you are blaming yourself for that, then it is my fault for ordering the eel." * Luana covers her mouth and giggles quietly. * Roseli flops her head to the other side and studies Luana for a bit, then goes back to watching the others. As I understood it, the mission was to eat a meal and not stand out. Oh, I didn't think about it like that. Hard to stand out when the other patrons are dead. * Keiko hovers her barely eaten to the trashcan, and as she does she reaches out to hold Luana's hand a moment. ~At least we came out okay. Wouldn't have wanted to be a liar.~ The mission changed at that point. * Luana smiles gratefully at Keiko and squeezes her hand gently. * Heinrick looks at Keiko and Luana but doesn't say anything. [Iris says, "Well, we should probably let you rest up. Come on, Cyra." She puts a hand on Cyra's shoulder, but the younger girl refuses to move.] [Iris tugs Cyra's shoulder a little harder, but the girl still doesn't budge. She gets a worried look, until Karin says, "Cyra, go with Iris."] [It's only then that Cyra lets up. Iris smiles. "See you later. Get well soon, okay?" But as she turns, a disturbing look crosses her face. Then she and Cyra are gone.] (disturbing how?) ( upsetting ) (Upsetting or upset?) ( I'm not going to look up a thesaurus for you >.> ) (What about her look is disturbing?) (I think he's saying 'she's the creepy.') (Ish.) (Meh. We're full of creepy people in our own way.) (Yeah, but she's extra creepy, apprently.) ( She looks disturbed/bothered/upset ) ( confused, disconcerted, disordered, disquieted, distressed ) (Okay. That's why I was asking the difference.) (I'm sure there's a special section for it on the application form. 'How creepy can you be? Please list references.') ( Anyhow, you want to end here? ) (Damn. No wonder they won't give me any good stuff.) (I didn't have any references.) (Not quite yet.) ( Well, go ahead. ) * Heinrick looks at Karin for a moment. "Interesting." [Dr. Siebert readies a buncha machines while Dr. Pasche does his best to not pay any attention to anyone or anything in your corner of the room.] [Karin blinks. "What?"] * Heinrick pushes his glasses up. "It's probably nothing." He looks at the doctor. "Are you going to be prepared soon?" [Dr. Siebert nods. "Just a moment."] ( End? ) * Heinrick nods slightly and goes back to looking around the room. (Yeah, I thought there might have been more but that's about it.) * Keiko bites her lip as she glances to the doctors. Still doesn't seem too keen on this. Ah well! You can't fight the man. (I think so) [Session End]
