[Day: Friday, November 21st. Time: 10:00 a.m.] [Luana got a page out of her busy schedule! It seems Heinrick would like to converse with her. In his office of doom. Will she survive? Let's find out!] [Mini Start.] * Luana knocks on the office door. * Heinrick calls from inside. "Come in." * Luana walks in. She looks pretty disheveled: her hair is in a ponytail with a bunch of it flying outside of the hairtie, her pants are ripped on the end of one leg, and her shirt looks like it has some drying sweat on it. In short, she's obviously just come from working out. She's also holding a water bottle. "You wanted to see me, sir?" * Heinrick looks up, only slightly surprised by her appearance. "Ah, Miss Hall. Yes, close the door and have a seat please." He gestures to the chairs in front of his desk. * Luana closes the door gently and sits at an angle to the desk, so that the door and any windows are easily in her view. ( /me boggles ) ( The door is <-- ) (Yeah...not sure you can do that.) ( The windows are --> ) ( You'd have to be like <_> ) (...Well then, she keeps an eye on the windows.) (Mad skills?) (Which are behind Heinrick's desk! Convenient.) [Luana avoids the bus! Er... nevermind.] * Heinrick does notice Luana's glances. "Hmm. Is there a problem?" No, sir. Just trying to be more aware of my surroundings since the incident at the restaurant. * Heinrick raises an eyebrow at that. "Indeed. What is your take on the situation at the restaurant then? What would you have done differently?" I believe there's not much I could have done differently with the knowledge I had at that time, sir. Perhaps tried to realize what their objective was before Keiko was taken, although I'm not sure how. * Heinrick nods slightly and stands up. "It's a consideration at least. It is a good thing to think about. Is this Dr. Kerner's instruction or your own?" A conclusion that resulted from a discussion on the subject with Dr Kerner. *** Signoff: Luana (Read error: Connection reset by peer) ( Luana got sick of this conversation. ) (Can I make sure Dr. Kerner disciplines her properly then?) *** Luana (WD@24-151-190-56.dhcp.kgpt.tn.charter.com) has joined channel #MC4 * Heinrick nods and starts pacing. "How are you finding your instruction with Dr. Kerner?" I like it very much, sir. I hope that I will continue to improve and become an asset to this organization. ( With a map ) * Heinrick smiles slightly at that and adjusts his glasses. "An admirable response." He starts to walk around her. "Tell me. What's your impression of Keiko then?" (Should actually be "Miss Hanano" there.) * Luana seems very pleased by the compliment. "Thank you, sir." She doesn't move to watch him when he is out of her sight. "She's very kind to me, although she doesn't seem to like Ten very much. I'm not sure she likes it very much here, but neither do I think she has anywhere else to go, or that she would ever leave without permission." * Heinrick gives a faint chortle at that. "Do you think she's in trouble then?" No, sir. If... if you don't mind me asking, has she done something to be in trouble for? * Heinrick turns to look at her oddly for a moment, and then turns back to his musings. "Well now, I'll have to think on that, really. She does have a tendency to be quite naughty." (I just made some mental connections, btw. Is Gertrude really the crazy German scientist guy's granddaughter? But I -liked- him! He responded well to flattery!) I don't believe that she means any harm, sir. * Heinrick takes in a deep breath and relaxes his shoulders, back to Luana. "But, for the moment, it seems you two are very close. I was just curious what you two talk about." Not much in particular, sir. We gossip a bit, and talk about our training. I think we're both grateful for a friendly presence of similar age. * Heinrick puts his chin in his fingers. "Hmm. Are you certain that's all?" Fairly certain, sir. I could give it more thought over the next day and report to you during my break tomorrow morning, if you wish. * Heinrick sighs and shakes his head, turning slowly towards his desk. "Anyway, it's not so much what's talked about that concerns me as the method that you talk." * Heinrick waves it off slightly. "That's not really necessary. Thank you though." * Luana looks startled. "Is Keiko not allowed to use her telepathy outside of training, sir? I wouldn't have responded if I thought it wasn't permitted." * Heinrick smiles slightly. "Ah. So she is contacting you like that then." Yes. Is there some other method you were thinking of, sir? ( Gertrude is Werner's granddaughter, yeah. ) (;_; That's so sad. Alys would be disappointed.) * Heinrick shakes his head. "No." He folds his hands. "I just wanted to state that if there is really nothing to hide, I would prefer things to be said outloud, that is all." However, it will be an asset on the field as well. So I don't expect her to completely give it up. Only to keep it when necessary." * Luana looks down into her lap. "I... may I have permission to speak freely, sir?" * Heinrick looks up at her for a moment. "Indeed. Go ahead." I... I like the feeling of closeness it gives me, sir. I haven't... I've found it particularly difficult to... to speak familiarly with people since... since my parents. Being close to Keiko gives me some happiness. No, more like... contentment, I think. * Heinrick looks at her curiously. "Oh?" Yes, sir. * Heinrick smirks slightly as he looks down. "Making me into the bad guy, then? You are bolder than I give you credit for." * Luana 's eyes grow wide and panicked. "No, sir! I'm just trying to explain my view, I would never try to imply that you're doing anything other than what's best!" * Heinrick takes in a deep breath. "Very well. I'll allow it to go on. On one condition." * Luana gives a relieved sigh. "Yes?" * Heinrick glances at her. "You will inform me if anything *does* come up that is out of the ordinary. Agreed?" Of course! My first loyalty is always to the organization. And I don't see any need to bring this up with Miss Hanano either. I would be surprised if she doesn't know I know already anyhow. Yes, sir. * Heinrick shuffles some papers. "Very well. If you have anything else you would like to ask of me, that's fine, but I have no further questions for you. Was there anything else?" * Luana stands. "No, sir. I'm glad I could be of some help." She heads out the door, her expression much calmer than it was a few minutes ago. [Mini end!]
