[Day: Thursday, January 15th. Time: 9:00 p.m.] (Logs up.) [After a wonderful Christmas which may well be the last you ever have, stuff went on. Then today rolled around, and you all somehow wound up in the rec. room, except Togo, who's.... I dunno what he's doing yet. But the rest of you are in the rec. room.] [Start!] [Currently on the TV is the news.] * Jamie is currently wearing a white silk blouse and skirt and sitting at a table doing homework. Her hair's been tamed by the liberal application of barrettes and her eyes keep flickering from the page she's writing on to the TV. * Ten is standing in Jamie's textbook. [Adolf Bachmann is on the air, recapping the special announcement by the Austrian leader August Habsburg: "Germany has always been a close ally to our country. We now stand by them in their struggle against oppressing France!"] * Luana is curled up on the couch with an electronics catalog. She's wearning a long-sleeved blue shirt and black slacks, as well as the earrings Karin gave her. Her hair is short and curly instead of its usual length and straightness. [Meanwhile, French President Francois Montreaux calls the claims "Ridiculous and unfounded. The European Union was established for prosperity among our countries. France would never abuse its power! These are merely feeble excuses drawn by the German government to continue their immoral and quite possibly dangerous genetic modification practices."] [Other countries are split. The more prosperous ones seem to favor France, while the weaker ones seem to favor Germany. England is more or less neutral.] [But we had enough news last session. Let's get on to the action. The PA buzzes! "Blue Team, please report to Briefing Room #1!"] * Keiko is watching the TV half-heartedly, with one of the big books that Rose gave her on her lap. She's wearing green today, and similarly has her hair tied back with a green ribbon. She's very green today! Her fingers run over the book's pages as she glances between it and the TV. * Luana looks up and stretches her legs out before slipping the catalog under a counch cushion and standing. She waits patiently for Keiko to get up so they can walk together. * Jamie looks at Ten and nods, then she stands up and starts putting her papers in order. * Keiko then frowns thinly and picks up her book before looking at the TV, which turns itself off. She then starts to walk off, asking Luana mentally, ~Why do you put it there anyway?~ * Luana follows Keiko. ~I like having a place to put things other than in my room.~ * Ten steps off the book and onto her tray so Jamie can carry her to the briefing room. * Jamie goes. The slowpokes can deal with being late. * Keiko walks towards the room, briefly stopping at her room. The whole while she thinks, ~I guess it's just a magazine. No big deal.~ [You end up at the briefing room, eventually, arriving just about the same time as Togo! Inside the briefing room, Lydia awaits. But not alone! This time there's another woman in there. She's rather short, only about 5 feet, but she must be at least in her early thirties. Her hair is neck-length, blond, and wavy, and her eyes are blue. Her clothes are rather... peculiar. So much so that they deserve their own paragraph!] ( That get through? ) (Yes.) (Assuming you didn't tack on the own paragraph.) [The woman wears a dark jacket, symbolically part of the Blitzkrieg Section 1 uniform. But her clothese are distinctively Chinese: A red and gold shirt with buttons near the shoulder, and loose red pants. She has a utility belt around her waist with a gun and some other stuff. And a blue headband, 'cause they're +10 to awesomeness.] [Unrelatedly, there's a small green sphere of light hovering above Lydia's desk.] * Togo has, for the record, been back since around the new year, and the moderate limp he came back with is pretty much gone. (Luana loved her present, btw.) [As you enter, the woman talks quietly to Lydia, who nods, looking at you.] * Jamie looks at the glowing thing, and then flickes her eyes to the woman and then Lydia, she's starting to get better about the stareing thing. * Togo is now the only eyeless wonder on the team. Oh the humanity. [And then she actually talks to you. "There are a few things to discuss. First, Keiko. This is Agent Adela Moller, from section one. She's come here with a prisoner they need you to interrogate."] * Keiko drifts into the room bookless, looking at the woman as she walks over and sits down. * Luana sits next to Keiko and watches the green sphere. [Adela nods to Keiko. "How do you do." It's more a statement than a question. She makes her way over to the door. "The subject is already in the holding cells below. If you'll come with me..."] * Keiko frowns at her a moment, glances to Lydia, and then back to the woman. "No Heinrick?" [Lydia shakes her head. "He's unavailable at the moment."] ( "Last I heard, he was packing." ) (Ha ha.) ( It's surprisingly easy to deal with absent people in this game. ) [You also don't see Roseli, for the record.] [But Togo's there, so it's all good.] (I gots a guardian!) * Keiko sighs and squeezes her duck a moment, then nods and says, "Fine." She looks to the woman. "You know the way?" [Adela nods.] ( Keiko can join #MC4more at her leisure. ) * Luana sends wordless feelings of encouragement to Keiko. [Keiko suddenly wants to participate in the Olympics. * Keiko walks out of the room, then. To the interrogation! * Jamie sits stiffly in the seat Keiko just abandoned. *** Signoff: Keiko (Quit: Moving!) * Togo flumps down in a chair, and peers at Lydia. [It doesn't self-destruct.] [Lydia waits a bit before continuing. "Next... The Ministry of Defense has expressed its desire be more thoroughly involved with our two teams."] ( Sorry, the plot had to run home and will be back on in 15 minutes. x.z ) How so? (Actualy, change that to "How will this affect me?" ) [Another voice, higher than Lydia's and, strangely enough, with a British accent says. "I'm how so. From now on, I'm going to be monitoring your field work in real time."] In a good 'Let's give you tons of backup and close fire support on your missions' way, or a bad 'Let's second guess everything you do and make you fill out paperwork for a demon-killing permit' way? ( You already have to do that. XD ) (That was the glowing thing talking right?) ( Presumably! ) ( yes, well, Togo likes to be clear on these things. =P ) (Hey, I don't still have a giant pile of heightend senses that I keep forgetting about for no reason!) [The ball of light zooms towards Hotaru and Luana's table. Then lands on it. The glow subsides, revealing a woman who couldn't be taller than Ten. She's got green eyes, with tiny little half-moon glasses and green hair that doesn't fall past the neck. She's wearing a small skirt suit.] [Oh yeah, and she has green, butterfly-like wings.] * Ten turns her head to reguard the interloper. "I see." ["I'm Nene, personal secretary to Defense Minister Bernstein. Charmed."] * Luana says dubiously, "It's a pleasure to meet you." Defense Minister has a fairy secretary. Wasn't expecting that. [She looks at Togo. "I've been with Ludwig Bernstein since his days as a teenage paranormal hunter. It's only natural he should hold me in such confidence."] The ministers priorities baffle me. [She looks back at Ten. "Excuse me?"] Didn't know that about him. *looks mildly to moderately impressed* Why send his secetary here, do you not have other responcibilities? [She turns back to Togo. "Well, that's quite understandable. Few people know about Mr. Bernstein's past. That is the nature of this line of work, after all."] [And back to Ten. "He sent me here because he trusts me, naturally."] * Togo nods. I see. (brb in five, sorry) *** Luana has left channel #MC4 ( orzzzz ) ( Pause, or can we chat? ) *** Mecha (Mechalink@ip68-13-21-94.om.om.cox.net) has joined channel #mc4 *** Mecha is now known as Keiko (I can chat a bit) ( We can chat ) ( Keiko, into #MC4more ) [Nene floats up into the air, and as she does she, or rather her wings, emit a greenish dust. "Well, let me explain what exactly it is that I'll be doing here."] ( Goddamn fairy dust. ) You do that. (Why couldn't I have been one of the flying models?) [Nene is, incidently, about the same size and build as Ten, and could probably get away with Tenwear(tm) clothes.] *** Luana (WD@24.152.198.19.res-cmts.eph.ptd.net) has joined channel #MC4 (Catch me up, someone?) ( Nene's about to explain why's she's here. That's it ) (Cool beans.) [And she does! "As I said, I'm going to monitor your missions. Specifically, I'll be listening in on your comm links and I'll provide real time satellite support and other data as necessary. I'll also be commanding the missions, to an extent."] (And the best way to get Luana and Keiko to communicate entirely with telepathy is...!) Strategic command, or tactical? * Ten nods. (And the best way to get Ten to replace the coms with herself?) ["Tactical. Ms. Sohn will still be briefing you, and you're still to report to her afterwards."] (Teenagers - they will find a way to communicate behind the backs of authority no matter what.) ["And just so you don't communicate behind my back, I've installed anti-communication-behind-my-back devices in all of your brains last night while you were asleep."] To what degree? Are we talking "Your objective is in that building to the left, head on over", or are you going to be telling us when to engage, when to retreat, that sort of thing? ( Ok, maybe not. ) [Nene blinks at Togo. "Possibly both."] Advising, or ordering? [She folds her arms. "If you put it that way, I suppose it would be ordering. I hope, however, that we can see eye to eye."] * Jamie looks over at Lydia for a moment and then back at the fae. ... that might be kind of tough. [Lydia looks stern.] * Ten wishes she could smirk. "Only for the humans on the team." * Togo taps his glasses and smirks a bit. "But I'm a good soldier, so I'll try to make it work." [Nene nods. "Good, I'm glad to hear it. This will go much easier if we can all cooperate."] [Nene looks you all over again. 'Cause frankly I'm out of things to talk about.] ["Does anyone have any questions?"] Not really. Just wondering what your data support capabilities are. Are you going to be able to help us when we're indoors, or underground? [She sighs. "Unfortunately not. At least, not so much. I can get you blue prints, maybe, but sattelite is out."] * Togo nods. "Well, good to know anyway. Better to find out now than in the middle of a mission." Will you be taking over counter-electronics, or will that remain my responsibility? ["Yours. I won't be able to do much of that from this location."] * Ten nods. "Very well then." I've got nothing else. (I has finished ze packings.) *** RowynAway is now known as Rowyn ( Excellent. Have Heinrick come in like now! ) *** Rowyn is now known as Heinrick * Heinrick walks in, dusting off his coat before heading into the briefing room. "Quite honestly, they should tell me when these things are more urgent. It is so difficult keeping tabs.." He looks in at the scene of the briefing room and then stops but only for a second before looking amused. "Besides, I always tend to miss the best parts..." * Jamie looks over and up at Heinrick, and then back to Nene. Meet Nene, the Defense Minister's fairy secretary. She's going to be providing intel, listening in on our comm chatter, giving some orders and such. * Keiko is only notable by not being here. * Heinrick adjusts his glasses and looks at Togo. "Thank you for the brief summary." He looks at Nene. "So kindly tell me *why* exactly it is deemed necessary to listen in on us? I am fully curious on this account, I assure you." ( orz ) [Nene, who's a fairy with glasses, a business suit, green hair and wings (if you didn't know already), nods to Heinrich. "Charmed, I'm sure. The kindly way to put it is that the Minister wishes to ensure that your missions run smoothly and without problems."] Oh I *am* glad of that. I am certain none here desire lumpy missions. Nor oatmeal for that matter. ["Har har."] * Heinrick looks up for a moment. "Oh where are my manners. Heinrick Engels, Section Two. Though I am sure you have already been well informed." ["Nene, Ludwig Bernstein's personal secretary, although I've already been introduced." She nods at Togo.] * Heinrick raises an eyebrow at Togo. "Indeed." He glances back at Nene. "Well, I am certain you are already aware of our track record so I will not take the time to explain it. Suffice it to say, I would like to know the...how shall I put this? Unkindly way of putting it." [Nene sighs. "I'd hoped we'd be able to cooperate better. But if you must know.... Mission 1: You requested to use government vehicles as weaponry."] ["Mission 2: failure to capture terrorists at Zukunft facility."] (It was an AWESOME use of government vehicles as weaponry!) ["And Mission 3: Use of lethal force against private security guards without evidence indicting the corporation in question."] Hmph. (It was their own leithal force and they were using it against us! (And they were only humans.)) * Heinrick gives her an even expression. "I prefer to speak frankly, Ms. Nene. My ward and my other guardians respect me for that. So I do not intend to be on friendly terms with someone who is not friendly, I assure you of that." And if you wish to tie our hands, so be it. But tell us that you are tying them. Good day. * Heinrick glances over at Togo for a moment. "Am I wrong?" No, not really. [Nene nods. "Very well. I wanted us to get along. But like it or not, you're under my command now."] * Heinrick nods curtly. "Good." He then looks at Nene. "No, I do not like it. But I suppose I have no choice." [The phone at Lydia's desk rings, and she answers it. "Sohn."] * Togo grins. "Give good orders, and I doubt we'll have a problem." * Heinrick then looks back at Togo. "Where is Keiko?" [Lydia frowns. "Oh, you do? What about section one?"] Helping with an interrogation. [Lydia frowns even more! If that's possible. "I see. Very well."] [Lydia hangs up. "We have an emergency."] * Luana straightens in her seat. "Ma'am?" [Nene, who was just about to say something, turns around at that.] * Jamie and Ten turn their heads in unison to look at Lydia. * Togo tilts his head slightly. * Heinrick nods slightly and looks at Lydia. [Lydia stands up. "There's a probably Abomination near Flarchheim. I don't have time to give the details, but Agent Moller will fill you in on the way."] ( I assume that's supposed to be 'probable'? ) ( Yep! ) Will Keiko be coming? Do we know if it is magic or genemod in origion, or should we prepair for both? [Lydia nods. "As well as Adela, and I assume she'll be calling in more backup, as well. It's likely related to the Cult of Belial, but there isn't time to discuss the details here. You need to go. Now."] * Luana stands and waits to follow her guardian out. Demons. *scowls; heads out* [Nene floats in the air, giving off fairy dust. "An Abomination... I never expected my first mission here to be so serious."] * Heinrick nods. "I'll go gather Keiko." He then glances at Nene for a moment. "*All* of our missions here are serious." He heads out to get Keiko before she can reply. [Nene blinks. "But this one...! Uuurgh. Nevermind."] * Jamie stands and walks to the door. I have equipment and followers to prepair, I awate your further order Nene. (orders even) [One spinning MC4 logo later, you're in a van, headed to Blitzkrieg HQ. Section 1 HQ, that is. No worries, Adela Moller is driving.] (Oooh duh. Must remember skills. Occult roll to know anything about this cult and their pet monster?) * Keiko rejoined the group with Adela. She has been very subdued since the second she re-showed up. Which isn't really that weird for her. One of her hands is tightly around her duck, while the other is up at her neck, fingering her collar. [The sirens are blaring, clearing traffic, but it's not so loud inside, giving Adela time to speak. "We're dealing with an Abomination here. Some of you may have heard of it, but for those who haven't..."] ["An Abomination is what happens when an Incubus rapes an Angel. It's an unkillable monstrosity that will wreak havoc if we don't put a stop to it."] So if it is unkillable, how *are* we expected to put a stop to it then? ["They're large monsters, slow, but very strong, highly aggressive and capable of emitting an energy that withers human cells."] I assume my wards will play a part. ["It regenerates any damage we can do to it. The only way to be rid of it is to seal it. Wards are an effective means of keeping it at bay, as is fire."] * Luana nods. * Heinrick nods briefly. "It seems the game is in your court as well, Ms. Hall." ["We'll have excorcists waiting for us. We'll need to slow the monster down enough so that the exorcists can perform the sealing ritual. And therefore, we must protect the exorcists at all costs."] I'll break out the heavy weapons for this. * Ten nods. [Adela nods. "Good. One more thing."] * Heinrick digs through his coat pocket, searching for his case, then takes it out and looks it over. * Togo pulls out an ornate Winchester repeating rifle and checks the ammo. ["Dealing with the Abomination is vital, but we must also find and destroy the incubus. With luck, it will still be on the premesis. If not, it couldn't be further than the village. But it's vital we destroy it before it can do any harm."] ( Doubly vital, I s'pose. ) Do we have an intel on its current appearance? * Heinrick sighs deeply. "It *would* figure we would have to deal with an incubus considering the state of our wards." (...Female?) (Exactly.) ["Incubui don't actually change appearance. That's just myth. It'll be about three and a half-feet tall, purple skin, bat wings, spear-headed tail... easily recognizable."] And not nearly as invincible. The last part is good news. If it's so small and not as strong, how does it... rape an angel? Ahh. ["They can induce sleep parylasis in their victims. Make them helpless. And make no mistake, they can do this to men or women."] ["Most of them are heterosexual, but there are homosexual and bisexual incubi, as well."] ( And I forgot what else I was going to say ) * Keiko puts her duck to her forehead and thinks quietly at Luana, ~It doesn't fight fair. Don't... think about it.~ Aproximate range of this attack? ["Fifty meters, line of sight."] ~Are you okay for this mission?~ ["Incidently, it can cause fertalization in its victims at will, and the gestation period for the offspring is hours, not months."] ( We gettin' into all the messy stuff tonight >.> ) ( Indeed. Nnh.) * Luana pales. I hate to ask, but it begs questioning. Is *that* gender specific? [Adela nods. "Hence why it usually targets women."] (I NEED A SNIPER RIFLE.) * Heinrick nods curtly. "Indeed." It's hard to tell, but...he might actually look a *bit* ill. (Agreement!) Fucking rapist demons. There was one loose in Derbyshire about 8 years back, took weeks to track it down. * Keiko thinks back, ~That... isn't a question I get to ask. Ssh, Luana. Don't... just kill it.~ She exhales slowly and remains looking downward. After Togo says that she thinks at _him_, ~Not helping.~ I will endevor to find this one faster. It reflects poorly on gods, demons, and angels. * Luana takes Keiko's hand and holds it. [Adela frowns. "The short gestation period means it can sire an army half-demon offspring overnight. We have to destroy it quickly. But first, the Abomination."] ~Sorry. Old soldiers tell old war stories. Force of habit.~ ( And we're pretty much done for tonight, unless you want to chat for a bit ) [A voice crackles in your comms! "Nene here. Do let me know if there's any information I can help you with."] * Keiko lets Luana do that, unprotesting. ~Just... shoot well,~ she thinks at Togo. ~I'll get its attention.~ Maps of the area and the current locations of the exorcist, abobination, and incubus would be helpful. ["I'm on it. Actually, I've been scanning for a bit."] Are there any cultists or civilians still in the area? [Adela speaks. "About the exorcists... they're not official staff. These are civillians. Priests who volunteered their services. They have no combat training."] (....damnit, we need some combat priests.) So it's doubly important to keep this thing's attention. [Nene: "No sign of any cultists, and the only civilians are in the town."] [Adela nods.] ( Unfortunately, the Vatican doesn't like Germany. Ergo, Germany gets no combat priests. ) (At least not Catholic ones.) (Do they still have the same pope?) (Where are the Protistants when you need them?) ( Nope. He had ailing health in MC3. ) ( The Vatican has a warrior priest corp, is the thing :P ) ( Also from MC3! ) (Dammit. Alys wanted his babies.) ( Anything else? Or shall I end? ) (I'm good to end.) (I think I'm done.) ( And since it's Germany, no Battle Rabbis ) * Keiko rubs Luana's hand and thinks at her, ~It's just another mission.~ Beat. ~Just that this thing really... really needs to die.~ [End!]
