* Keiko has gone into her room, and is currently sitting on her bed, with one of the book gifts from Rose on her lap and her duck beside her. But she's looking across the room at an easel and the associated paints. * Luana stands in the doorway with a box full of computer parts. "Can I... can I work in here?" (Feeling, exactly?) * Keiko looks over to Luana, seeming startled a moment, then closes the book, answering quickly, "Sure." Beat. "Of... course." (Absolutely horrible about life.) * Luana nods without looking up, sits down, and starts messing with things. * Keiko gets a small grimace on her face as she looks at Luana. That won't help. She thinks at her, ~Stupid people make me angry too.~ I'm so worthless to section 2. I hate it. * Keiko puts her book aside and says quietly, "That's not true." ( You're the only one who can be a bunny girl! ) (That's not even true.) ( And what happens if you need to melee something. The other two are screwed. ) (Boy, are we.) (All I'm good at is defense!) (Anyway.) (I just have to pray that they do less than 20 damage a hit.) It is. I screwed up. * Keiko mutters, "People screw up all the time. That doesn't make them worthless." She grabs her duck and holds it to her stomach. * Luana has quit IRC (Read error: Connection reset by peer) * Luana has joined #keikosroom * Luana Luana glances over at her quickly. "I... I'm sorry, I'm hurting you. I should go." * Keiko reaches her hand out. "No. Stay." A small pause, then she thinks at her, ~If I'm such a good friend, you should be able to stay.~ If I'm a good friend, I should be able to leave. * Luana starts gathering together her stuff. * Keiko frowns a little and stands up slowly. "Luana, stop. You're not worthless. Not because Dr. Kerner left, not because you spent a few seconds not attempting to burn a demon up." A small pause, then, "Worthless is people who do nothing. Who can't think. Who can't feel." I owe Blitzkrieg my -life-. If they think I'm worthless, then I am. * Keiko walks over to her and frowns a little. "Did they even say you were worthless?" N- no... but, she made it clear... * Keiko pokes her with the duck. "She made it clear that they're being stupid. They're letting the guy who shot Jamie lie, and they know he's lying." * Keiko frowns and continues, "They believe the priests when they say I did something, but if the priests say he did something, they won't believe that? They're being slanted. That's all." It's... politics. ( Ah, politics ) (Luana is feeling somewhat better, like there's a knot being loosened.) * Keiko glances to the ceiling a moment. She knows you're listening, people! But then back to Luana. * Luana says slowly. "I'll work harder. I can be a valuable asset, and... and we'll make sure that they'll never have reason to doubt us." Luana looks up at Keiko. "Right?" * Keiko smiles a little wanly, but after a moment puts her free hand to her shoulder. "You already are valuable." * Keiko 's smile gets a bit more genuine. "But... that can't hurt." ( At leasr $3.50 ) (About tree fiddy.) * Luana rests her head on Keiko's shoulder. "You're the best. Thank you." * Keiko 's smile gets a little more wan again as she replies mentally, ~I... try. Now work on your stuff.~ * Luana nods and goes back to assembling. * Keiko walks back away from Luana slowly, back to her bed, which she eases herself down onto with a slight wince. And then she looks over at the easel and paints again, across the room. (Are we done? Togo wants training.) (Sure!)
