* Keiko thinks to her as they head out of the room, ~They can't know anything

<Luana> ~Do you know where Gertrude and Sebastian are anyway? They weren't in
medbay, and I heard someone talking about Gertrude going crazy.~
* Togo ambles after the girls a few yards behind, giving them their space to
talk while making sure nobody gets set on fire.
* Keiko thinks back flatly, ~People get really bored. And really sick.~ She
glances back at Togo, then back forward. ~Lots of people are sick.~ Beat, then
she adds, ~I'd have her in the brig.~
<Luana> (Luana's leading towards genlab.)
<Brett> [You go to the basement!]
* Luana looks back and sees Togo too. "Sir! You should be resting!" She also
thinks to Keiko, ~Who, Gertrude? Do you know what happened?~
* Luana walks mostly backwards in order to make sure that her guardian doesn't
fall over.
* Keiko is with Luana, looking around at anyone passing and giving them a
thorough looking at. She responds to Luana with, ~She likes corporal punishment
too much for me.~ A hand idly goes up to rub her cheek.
<Togo> Probably, but if I lay down know I'll stiffen up, and I won't be worth
shit if we get a tip on where the virus is.
<Togo> ( s/know/now )
<Brett> [Abt the mechanic passes you on the way to the cafeteria.]
* Togo chuckles. "Didn't used to be this way, but I didn't used to be this old.
Too many miles on me."
* Keiko looks at him and then waves her duck at him. "Abt." She's scanning him
as she does.
<Luana> You need to be taking it easy, sir. Even if we did get a lead, I'd
strongly recommend against you seeing any action.
<Brett> [Abt waves shyly and ducks into the cafeteria. He's hungry.]
* Luana thinks a moment and murmers, "Punishment... She-!" Realizing that Keiko
is a bit busy, she asks her own guardian, "Sir, did Ms Himmel do something to
Sebastian?"
<Togo> ( Would I have heard about it? )
* Keiko shakes her head to herself and continues walking.
<Togo> ( Brett? )
<Togo> ( Let's say I did! )
<Brett> ( What? )
<Brett> ( Oh. )
<Brett> ( Yeah, sure. )
<Togo> From what I heard, she snapped and knocked him around some.
<Brett> [you get to the medical bay, beyond which are the gene labs. Dr.s
Siebert and Pasche are in there.  Dr. Siebert's typing away at a computer, while
Dr. Pasche is checking over Karin, who's also there, with her hands heavily
bandaged.]
<Brett> [Cyra's in a chair next to Karin.  She has a light bandage around her
head, but that's it.]
<Togo> Nothing too serious, but that's extremely unprofessional, in addition to
being lower'n snakes balls.
<Togo> ( er, snake's )
* Keiko looks at the two of them and shivers. "That woman... I will get her to
pay," she murmurs.
<Luana> That's terrible! No wonder she's on suspension.
* Luana looks to Keiko and nods. "I'll help."
* Keiko glances to Luana a moment, then just starts idly scanning peoples'
thoughts.
<Togo> Don't get any ideas. She's completely nuts, but she's still a guardian
here, and you two could get in major trouble.
* Keiko blinks, then looks to Togo. "I meant the sadist."
<Brett> [Oh, Karin's unconscious.  Whoops.]
* Luana blinks at Keiko. "Oh." She shakes her head and heads over to Cyra. "Hi.
Um, how's Karin managing?"
<Brett> [Cyra says nothing! Luana's not a hot Asian chick.]
<Togo> ... ah, right. Sorry, not paying attention. Her I'll cheerfully help you
butcher.
<Luana> (She could be!)
<Brett> [Dr. Pasche does, though! "She's doing well.  She should recover most of
the use of her hands after enough rest."]
<Luana> Oh! Thank you. I didn't want to bother you while you're working.
<Luana> ~Anything?~
<Togo> Most?
* Keiko wraps her arms around herself again, for a moment. ~Pasche is
homosexual, Siebert is focused on his work.~
<Brett> [He chuckles. "Well, to tell the truth, most of the time we don't do
much of anything down here."]
<Brett> ( Togo/Hans OTP! )
* Keiko glances to Luana and finishes, ~Nothing you want to know.~
<Luana> ~Please tell me he's not thinking about my guardian in a sexual manner.~
* Keiko thinks back dryly. ~He's not thinking of your guardian in a sexual
manner.~ Beat. ~If I sense anything important, I'll let you know.~
<Luana> ~Thank you.~
* Luana says out loud, "Well, um, we just wanted to check on them. Out of
curiousity, is anyone in the genetics labs right now?"
<Brett> ["Nope!"]
<Luana> Ah, thank you. Well, see you later.
<Brett> ["No problem!"]
<Brett> ( Might be we should just end soon. )
* Luana starts heading out. When they're out of earshot of the doctors, she
asks, "Where else would people have free time and computer access?"
<Togo> ( One sec. )
<Luana> (Sure, either way)
* Keiko replies back, simply, "Security."
<Keiko> (DUH)
* Togo gets on the comm and calls back to the room where Roseli and Jaime are.
"Find out anything?"
<Luana> Oh, true! First floor or sub-basement?
<Luana> Sub-basement has the cells, so that would probably be least busy.
<Keiko> Don't know. The never let me in there.
* Keiko thinks at Luana, ~Let's not talk about this outloud anymore.~
<Luana> ~Ah, right! Okay, let's go down to the sub-basement then. Togo's with
us, so it should be okay.~
<Togo> Hold on a sec, just getting an update from Jaime and Roseli.
* Luana pauses.
<Brett> [Roseli and Jamie report their findings to Togo!  What findings are
those?  They're in the log.]
<Brett> [Speaking of logs, they ask Togo to go check them, since he's near the
security room anyhow.]
<Brett> ( I don't know how much we'll be able to do without Jamie here, though.
)
<Brett> ( These sessions always depend on someone being here >.< )
<Togo> ( Maybe we'll break here? )
<Togo> ( So we have a clear place to start? )
<Brett> ( Get to the security room first. :P May as well. )
<Keiko> (We barely started!)
<Keiko> (Come back, their internet! Come baaack!)
<Luana> (First floor, then?)
<Brett> ( If you like, Zarina could meet Keiko on the way and they can go soak
in a virtual hottub in the Holoroom. )

<Luana> (Also, Luana can hack stuff! Just not as well as Jamie.)

* Togo fills the girls in on the details of what Jaime told him as they walk to
the security room!
<Brett> [You get to the security room! It contains two security guards + Jarek
Degenhardt, and a whooooole bunch of electronics.]
<Brett> ( I'm not describing the whole thing again though. It was hard enough
the first time. )
<Togo> ( Door open, or need I knock? )
<Brett> ( I'm assuming you opened it. )
<Togo> ( coo' )
<Brett> ( Because I wouldn't have described all that stuff if you didn't :P )
* Keiko looks around the room. Now this is information she can enjoy!
<Brett> [Jarek approaches you immediately! "Great.  NOW what do you want?"]
* Keiko telepathyscans people in the room as she looks around. It's fun.
<Togo> I'd like you to do your job, actually. *smirks* I need to figure out
which computer terminal in this place is uploading to a particular hosting site
in America. Can you do that from here?
<Brett> [He scowls. "I do my job just fine.  You're still alive, aren't you?"]
* Luana scowls at Jarek, but doesn't say anything.
<Togo> Yeah, I'll buy you a cookie later. My question?
<Brett> [He snorts. "Ask Weber.  That shit is more her thing."]
<Togo> ( Where's Weber? )
<Brett> ( Hmmm... Communications, I suppose. )
<Brett> ( Since for some odd reason this place doesn't have a computer lab )
<Keiko> (It wouldn't need one.)
<Togo> Right. Thanks. *pulls a cookie out of his coat; toses it to Jarek as he
walks off*
<Keiko> (That wouldn't really make sense. All the computers do specific jobs.)
<Keiko> (And government facilities would put computers inside of secure points.)
<Keiko> (Central computers.)
<Luana> ~Somehow, this feels more like an easter egg hunt than a real mission...

* Keiko thinks back at her, ~If they approve of Gertrude, perhaps they won't

* Keiko thinks at her too, idly petting her duck.

American web site. Can you trace what terminal it came from?
<Brett> [Heidi blinks. "Uh, sure.   Just a second."  She heads into the security
room (much to Jarek's chargrin.)]
<Brett> [And she sits down at a certain computer. "What can you tell me about
the site?"]
<Togo> It's called 'The Fanfiction Zone'. *pause* Don't ask, you *really* don't
wanna know.
<Togo> ( <Heidi> Actually, I'm a yaoi fan, so yes, I do! <Togo> Mr. Shotgun

<Brett> [Heidi shrugs, then, long story short, does some computer stuff.]
