[Luana and Keiko left the interrogation room, heading for Keiko's room! This was after hours of intense boredom for everyone. Maybe they'll plot out their next devious fanfic. Or not. Let's watch!] * Keiko walks her way towards her room slowly, and manages to gets to the elevator and presses the button before leaning against the wall, resting. * Luana ambles along behind Keiko and watches her as she leans on the wall. * Jamie has quit IRC (Client closed connection) ...How long do you usually need? * WeightofTaki has joined #mc4 * WeightofTaki is now known as Jamie * Keiko shakes her head and thinks at her, ~If I had to, I could do things now.~ The door opens and she moves in, before leaning on the back wall to face Jamie and look at her. ~But it... still feels like I'm in her mind.~ (s/JAmie/Luana.) (Your stupid pingout confused me!) (Sorry) ~What do you want to do now? You look like you could stand to have a nap.~ ( If this were a fanfic, this is where the pr0n music would start, methinks. ) (Bow chicha -wow wow-.) (As Keiko hits the emergency stop button on the elevator?) * Keiko smiles a little at her. ~Honestly? I just wanted to get away from everyone. I just spent...~ she then stops and tilts her head. ~... how long did that take?~ ~Wasn't really counting.~ ( You guys laugh, but chances are it'll be on the web tonight. ) ~So, what now? I don't suppose you want to join me for target practice.~ * Keiko groans a little, then manages a weak smile. ~Hey, I can do target practice... now that my wrist doesn't feel like breaking when I fire a gun.~ * Luana thinks longingly, ~I can't wait until I get a chance to get a gun like Togo's. Then I can carry tons of guns without needing to figure out where to put the holsters.~ (s/gun/coat) * Keiko tilts her head and says, ~Well, we're going up right now, so you might wanna press another button.~ A small pause, then she adds, ~Why doesn't he need holsters?~ ~You never noticed? He can put -tons- of stuff in his coat.~ * Luana smiles and presses the button for their floor. * Keiko pets her duck and murmurs, "Thanks," before continuing, ~I figured it was just some weird power. It's actually the coat?~ ~Um, I think so. I don't think he actually does any magic, he just has a few things that -are- magic.~ ( You should ask Karin. She'd know for sure. ) * Keiko puts her hand to her forehead. ~Well, I don't know how to sense magic... but I'd have so many things to put in that coat.~ Beat. ~Until someone took it away, anyway.~ The elevator hits the floor and she gets up off the wall. * Luana follows Keiko out. ~Why would they do that? Has Heinrick been taking things from you?~ (Watching my sister play Space Channel 5 for the first time is strangely nerve-wracking.) (I've never played it. Whyso?) (She's decent at it, but I don't think she's going to beat the level... it's all about rythym.) * Keiko shakes her head. ~It'll happen eventually. Always does. Everything flows down the river, everything burns away...~ she grips the side of her head a moment, walking towards her room in an aimless fashion. ~... damn, burning jungles is her nightmare, not mine.~ * Luana puts a hand on her back and guides her back to her room. ~Come on, let's... paint, or something.~ * Keiko smiles a little and says, as she opens her door, ~What do you wanna paint?~ ~I'm sorta tired of my paintings. They're never happy.~ * Keiko frowns and adds, ~Not that paintings have feelings.~ ~My siblings! I didn't have any pictures of them to bring with me.~ * Keiko gets in her room and looks at Luana, then smiles at her. ~That sounds good. I could even help.~ ~Right! Okay, I'll tell you about them and what they look like, and you can paint them, okay?~ * Keiko walks over to her covered easel and starts to try to move the painting that's covered under it off, without letting Luana see it. ~As long as you can think about them.~ * Luana sits down. She has a sort of goofy smile. ~Okay! I just think about what they look like, then?~ * Keiko manages to work the painting, still covered, off and put it on a stack of other large pieces of thick paper. She whews and pulls out another big thick piece of paper, putting it on the easel. ~Yeah, and talk 'bout 'em if you want.~ ( *looks in* Luana wants a trenchcoat? Cool! All she needs to do is burn her eyes out! ) (That'd be a NO.) (That's a high cost!) (How about I just steal yours?) (And then give it to her.) ( Okay, my second offer: She has... to ASK! ) (Damn, she'll never get it then.) (Jamie certainly wouldn't.) ( Togo's old-fashioned. He thinks girls don't do trenchcoats. ) (What, for serious?) (What a loser!) ( No, not seriously. ) ( It would just never occur to him that Luana would want a trenchcoat. ) ( I'ma go play some videogames. Night ) * Brett has quit IRC (Quit: ) * Luana pictures a young, tan girl with really frizzy, short auburn hair and a wide, toothy smile. "They're both twelve, but Greta's older by half an hour. She's broken her arm three times from falling out of trees, because she can't stand looking at a really tall tree without wanting to be at the top." She's a brat and the reason why I had a lock on my door, but she always tried to make sure I was okay if she was around when our parents were arguing. She and Hans were hardly ever home, so it never bothered them as much as it bothered me. * Luana tries to look at whatever Keiko's painting. * Keiko starts marking the canvas with a color a couple shades too light on the head area, before switching to whatever clothes Luana's imagining on her and laying down a baseline color for that, in certain areas. She's leaving plenty of space on the canvas for another person or two. She's actually working pretty quickly, laying down layers. Her duck is resting on the table. ~Where were they, then?~ Friends houses, clubs, sports... well, Hans didn't do any sports, but Greta usually played football on her school's team. Greta was on her school's newspaper staff, and Hans was in some kind of literature club. They're very different, but they shared the same friends, so they'd go to someone's house after their school activities ended and didn't usually come home until it was nearly time for them to go to bed. They only spent any real time home on (real time home on) They only spent any real time home on the weekends. I hope they're getting involved at their new school, too. My aunt asked me not to communicate with them, so I don't know. * Keiko lays down more colors for Greta and thinks back at Luana, ~That... must not be fun for you.~ * Luana either doesn't realize that she's been talking out loud, or doesn't care. "Mm, yeah. But I can understand where she's coming from. She's worried I'll hurt them." * Keiko frowns and replies, ~But you haven't hurt anyone you weren't supposed to here.~ * Keiko pulls out some q-tips and starts smudging parts of Greta, to get smoother colors. * Luana shakes her head. "I was a complete mess after I... after my parents died, I mean. I could barely look at anyone without panicking, and I sparked sometimes without meaning to. And of course, Mom and Dad had been complaining to everyone about my 'obsession' with fire before the... the incident, so after that, she probably did the right thing. * Luana sighs wistfully. "Still, I really miss them. They're good kids." * Keiko stops painting a moment and looks over her shoulder at Luana before thinking at her, with a frown fixed on her face, ~But that doesn't make it right now. Maybe it was right then.~ She looks back at the painting and murmurs, out loud, "Not now. Can you think more about Hans?" * Luana nods. "Sure." The image in her mind is a boy the same age as Greta, with a bored look on his face and hair closer in color to Luana's. "Hans loves to read all the time, and he's more reliable than Greta is. They're great to gether because whenever Greta ran off, Hans would just sort of follow with his nose stuck in a book." Dad gave him a mobile phone and wouldn't let Greta have one, because he knew Hans would call an ambulence if Greta fell out of a tree or something again, and Greta would probably just smash it up when she hit the ground. * Keiko manages a faint smile to herself as she starts filling in colors for Hans. After a bit of that coloring she thinks, ~Practical. But you're like both of them.~ * Luana blinks. "How so?" ~You're practical and attentive, but also get excited and do things.~ * Keiko frowns a little, then starts smudging with the q-tips again. * Luana smiles brightly. "Thank you. That means a lot." I've never met anyone who's as artistic as you. It's amazing to watch. * Keiko 's frown instantly vanishes, not that Luana can see it, and she closes her eyes a moment, being still with a soft smile. After that moment she starts moving again and thinks back, ~It's... it's different. I've read other artists' work. But none of it is right to me.~ * Keiko glances down at her other works, then adds, ~They don't see what I do.~ Then they're blind. * Keiko thinks back, ~Everyone's blind.~ She presses harder with the smudging. ~Heinrick doesn't understand. He buys me art things, but wants me to stop seeing for true, like he has.~ ~Have you tried explaining it to him?~ * Keiko shakes her head. ~Partly, but it... it's all metaphor. It's like poems, or riddles, or magic.~ ~Or art?~ * Keiko switches back to laying down paint for both Hans and Greta. ~'When he speaks of Himself in metaphors, He is adapting Himself to our foolishness, our limited capacity.'~ She pauses, then adds, ~It's all metaphors. Nobody sees the truth. Maybe not even me.~ ( *looks in* Togo's blind! ) (Damn right he is!) ( "You can't see what's in my soul!" "... I can't see what's on your head!" ) * Luana shakes her head silently and watches Keiko paint. ( Night folks ) * Togo has quit IRC (Quit: ) * Keiko is doing standard oil pastel painting, which means that she lays down paint and smudges it, giving color and shades to the two youngsters. Her mind continues rambling, though, without her closing the connection, ~They both trap themselves in ice. But she's frozen to death. I don't want to freeze...~ Keiko! * Keiko starts, standing straight up and looking at Luana. ~Yes?~ ~You... you sounded like you were getting lost in something. I got worried and... reacted. I'm sorry.~ * Keiko blinks, stands there a moment, and then groans. ~You're right, my mind wandered.~ She looks back to the painting and says, ~It's doing that a lot lately. Heinrick's been keeping me on my guard. When I let it down...~ she looks down, then shakes her head. * Luana says firmly, "You need a nap." Sleep is the most important thing you can do for yourself, other than regular meals. * Keiko goes back to moving paint around, igniring Luana for a second. The two children are mostly there in shape, although the painting lacks fine details. Like eyes or good hair/clothes texture. After a few moments she thinks back, ~No, I'm fine. Fine.~ She frowns to herself. ~This is nothing.~ We have a mission tonight. I won't forgive you if you get infected or something. * Keiko frowns moreso at the painting, draws back her hand... then suddenly lowers her hands and murmurs, "Yes. Yes, you're right." She turns around slowly and begins placing her oil pastels inside the box. * Luana smiles at Keiko. "Good. I'll do the same, so I can be perfectly on top of things later. I don't want to get infected either." * Luana heads out. "Pleasant dreams, Keiko." * Keiko looks up at her through her eyelashes, then nods slightly and thinks back at Luana, ~Good dreams.~ Once Luana's gone, she murmurs quietly, in Japanese, She then looks down at her duck and pets it for a few moments. Maybe she'll get to sleep eventually. [Session End!]
