[Day: Sunday, Feb 23rd. Time: 4:45 a.m.] [Yesterday, or rather a few hours ago, Heinrick and Keiko were abducted by aliens and/or terrorists. There was a guy Togo and Luana captured who was going to set off a viral bomb in a hotel, but he hasn't given up any information. Mainly because he's been reprogrammed not to.] (Long night. z_z) [Hopefully you all got some sleep between then and now, because you've just gotten a call: Dr. Pasche has finished reversing the man's modifications, and he should theoretically be able to talk now.] [Sooo... you get to gether at the med room. Start!] ( Erp ) * Jamie is there, and without her guardian for some reason. Maybe she had some other, more important buisness to take care of, like finding that leek. She sits quietly while waiting for somebody to tell he what to do. ( I mean the prison cell. Prison cell! ) * Togo stands outside the holding area, leaning up against the wall, waiting for the others. He's looked better, since he's still pretty battered from the last two fights, and even beyond that isn't quite his usual peppy self. (Jamie's lookin' for veggies!) * Luana is also there, glaring at the man. She's decided that it's somehow his fault that Keiko is gone, since she doesn't have anyone else to blame at the moment. [Dr. Pasche is in the room. He waits for you to make the first room, nice guy that he is.] * Togo takes a deep breath, and heads in. "How's his hand?" [Hans folds his arms. "Fortunately, I was able to operate swiftly enough that he should only lose 85% of the dexterity with both fingers."] ( Er... 15% ) ( That's much better. =P ) ( Or retain 85%. Or... something ) ( He accidently glued them on backwards. ) (Oops.) * Togo nods. "Good. He lucid?" [The doctor nods. "You should be able to speak to him now."] I'm sure he'll be thrilled to see me. *waves for the girls to follow; heads to the guy* * Jamie stands up and follows Togo. [As a side note, you've been informed that the van Heinrick and Keiko used was discovered at the meeting point, and the watches with the tracking devices were found not far from there. Plus the isotope tracker stopped functioning.] ( I'm missing all kinds of stuff tonight ) (And one other torn up thing, Brett?) (I take it they never showed up on that satilite feed I snagged either.) ( Nope ) * Luana follows. ( Oh, right, Keiko's torn up duck was also found. ) (There we go.) (Oh, poor Keiko, she's going to have to take her fears and frustrations out on the internal organs of her foes.) [The guy is in there, yep. Just like before, he's tied to a bed, with medical equipment set up to monitor his vitals. Only this time, he's conscious. He takes one look at Togo and screams, "Don't hurt me!"] * Togo pulls out a chair from his coat and sits down a couple of yards from the bed. "Not coming any closer than this." * Luana stands next to Togo with her arms folded and GLARES. * Jamie doesn't so much glare and look expectantly at him. Tell us what you remember about the people that brainwashed you, and we'll go away and let you rest. ["I can't. They said they'd kill me!"] We'll do -worse- than kill you. [He squeaks.] You've already seen what we're capable of. Now that you're free from their control, I'd really rather not have to do any more of that. And they can't get to you if we get to them first. ( Gimme an intimidation roll! ) ( ... aww crap, forgot to update charsheet. And I wasn't trying to intimidate him, I was trying to reason with him. =P ) ( Want me to roll it anyway? ) ( "You've already seen what we're capable of." Sounds like intimidation to me ) ( Wasn't intended, but ok. ) 2d8 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Togo (2d8) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 8. ( Made if body, failed otherwise. ) ( brb, getting a drink, continue ) (That was a very strange train of thought derailment. Togo->reason->negotiate->negotiator->BIG O! IT'S SHOW TIME!-> Man, Togo'd look silly with thoes eyebrows.) (IT'S SHOW TIME!) ( back ) [He looks like he wishes he could pull up the covers. But he can't, 'cause he's strapped in. "O-okay! Okay! I'll talk!"] Good. Who are they, what do they want, and where are they? ["I... I was on my way home from work, when this woman, she was coming onto me. But, well, I'm happily married, so I just ignored her and walked away, but then... I think she hit me on the back of my head!"] * Togo nods. [And next thing I knew I was in this dark room, and my hands were tied. There was this old guy in a lab coat. I think he was Japanese. And the woman and another man. I remember them because both of their names are Max."] ["And the old guy was saying how I was going to help them. He said I was going to help them make the Chancellor do what they want. And I said I wasn't going to, but then he said I had no choice, and he through me into this big tank."] * Togo scowls, and pulls a large picture of Akira Shibamura (sp?) from his coat. "This the Japanese guy?" ["And next thing I knew, I was sitting in a car with Max - the woman Max - and-- Hey! That's him! That's the guy!"] Knew it. Fucking Asahara bastards never goddamn die... (Seriously!) * Luana has been glaring less and less as the guy goes on. * Jamie is the same as ever. * Togo stops cursing and shakes his head. "... okay, do you remember anything about where you were driving from? Did the woman say anything?" ["Anyway, I was in a car with her, and she gave me this weird metal canister. And I was going to..." He stops, going wide eyed. "Oh God, it had soem sort of virus in it! I was going to take it into the hotel and release it there!"] We stopped you. ( I'd say 'There's no blood on your hands, but...' ) * Luana is actually starting to look a little embarassed about threatening him and glaring. ["Yeah... You stopped me." He sighs in relief. Then stares. "Hey! You hit me! It really hurt!"] Are you serious? You were going to release a virus! * Jamie nods. ["It's not like I had a choice!"] Well, neither did I. * Togo interjects. "Anything else you can tell us? Anything you saw, anything anyone said that might identify them or help us locate them or their next targets?" [He thinks. You can tell, because his face squints as he does it. "Well... they said we were going to release the virus in Berlin. Does that help?"] ... get some rest. *gets up; puts chair back into coat; heads out* * Luana follows her guardian. * Jamie turns and then follows. [You go out! Dr. Pasche is still there.] * Togo stops near the doc. "Any way we can trace where they did this to him? Process has to use chemicals that you can't just buy over the counter." [He shakes his head. "Not over the counter, no, but it wouldn't be hard to get over the black market. You can probably get them in Asia easily enough."] (Thanks for narrowing that down!) (He's so helpful.) No luck there. Okay, thanks. *turns to the wards* Let's fill in Lydia on what little we've learned. Right. *walks!* * Jamie nods and follows. * Luana follows, as usual. [You walk! But you don't get very far before you run into another someone. This time it's Iris Koenig, Section 3's only psychic agent. "Uh... I have something for you."] Something is good, 'cause right now we've got jack shit. * Jamie looks at her expectantly. ["I'm not sure this will help much, but..." She produces a slip of paper. "Karin found this at her bedside when she woke up. She doesn't know who put it there." The paper, simply enough, says 'TOGO they're still there'. Just like that.] ... they're still in that area, but cloaked somehow, maybe? ( I'll assume someone read it to me, to save time. I am blind. =p ) ( Sure :P ) (Prolly Luana.) (She's your ward) [Iris blinks. "Who's 'they'? I don't know what it means."] I've always been terrible at dealing with cryptic bullshit, but my best guess is that it's saying that Keiko and Heinrick are still near where they were grabbed. * Jamie volunteers information, the world must be coming to an end. "I never saw anything depart that area." [Iris shakes her head. "But I thought they canvassed the area."] (Also, I just totaly typed that with the wrong characters voice. Oops.) (Oh well, I'll try to stay IC in the future.) We have to go get her! She can't be doing well without her duck... * Togo shrugs. "Either of you have a better interpretation?" * Jamie shakes her head. Luana? No, sir. Can you... I don't suppose you have a spare stuffed duck in your coat, sir...? ( Or a spare Rowyn? ) (Only small objects!) What color? Blue. I can do that. We'll inform Lydia then move out. * Togo goes to do that! Thank you, sir! * Jamie continues to follow Togo. [You find Lydia at her office, of all places.] * Luana follows follows follows. * Togo fills Lydia in on what they know. Which is, not a whole fucking lot. [Lydia frowns as that weak description. Or frowns at what he says. Either way, she responds. "Gabriel and Zarina have been searching the area for several hours and have found nothing. We have no reason to believe the terrorists are still at the site."] There's got to be a reason they didn't want Jaime there. Maybe they're using some kind of cloaking tech she could detect? We are talking about the former head scientist of Asahara here. ( Accctually, change that from "have been" to "had been" ) ( 'Cauze that's a long period to be searching ) ["Or they simply didn't want her to track their vehicle to its final destination."] ["Furthermore, we did find tracks, at least up until they got onto the highway."] * Jamie looked up when her name was mentioned and has been tacking the conversation back and forth. It's the only clue we have, so we might as well take a look. Can you think of another interpretation? [She shakes her head. "It's addressed to you, so I would assume you're the one who would have the context to know what it means. I think it's extremely unlikely that they're at the site of the kidnapping, however."] * Jamie stares at Lydia. [She doesn't seem perturbed by this.] * Togo shrugs. "I've got nothing. Even as vague cryptic messages go, that's pretty damn vague." ["'TOGO they're still there'", she reads. "Who? Who is still where?"] * Jamie 's eyes widen a bit and she stares far less inently. They has to be Keiko and Heinrick... there has to be a place where they were... here? ["Unless 'they' refers to the terrorists."] Right. If Keiko managed to get Karin to write it in her sleep somehow, then it would be from her point of view. Okay, where have the terrorists been? The hotels? [Lydia pauses. Then starts typing on her computer. "Hold on a minute."] The auction. [After a few seconds, she turns back to you. "Hamburg."] Hamburg what? ["You mentioned Dr. Shibamura was involved. Asahara. Their last base of operations was a secret complex located under Hamburg."] [She glances back at the screen for a minute, then adds, "You were there."] ... right, I remember that place. Been 20 years, but I remember it. [She nods. "It's certainly worth checking, I would think."] Do we have any backup available for this? If we're dealing with Shibamura, this is almost guaranteed to be really ugly. [She frowns. "I can call Section 1's Hamburg division if you think you'll need the assistance."] ... tell you what. Let us go in; if you don't hear from us in a reasonable amount of time, send them in with the biggest goddamn guns you can find. ["You're sure about this?"] If we go in loud, they might evacuate or just kill them. Have the Hamburg division on standby; if we see we're facing defenses we can't get through, we'll fall back and wait for the cavalry. [She nods. "I believe Leo Mayer is stationed in Hamburg. He's one of Section 1's best."] Tell them to be ready, and tell them to be prepared for some fucked-up stuff. [She nods. "Alright. Good luck."] * Togo nods, and turns to the wards. "Let's go get 'em back." ( Do you wanna end here? ) * Jamie nods and follows. Right! )Yeah) [Then I hearby declare this session teh enderded.]
