[Meanwhile, Keiko suffered a long plane ride to somewhere much colder.] [But it crashed on the way and they all died, leaving me free to deal with one channel.] (And me having to deal with being frozen in the middle of Russia? Sweet!) (I assume that they kept her hands locked down or a constant watch?) ( Yep. ) [What really happens is Keiko lands at a private airfield in the middle of nowhere. A familiar private airfield in the middle of nowhere.] * Keiko spent most of the long plane ride looking at nobody, arms wrapped around herself, as she rocks back and forth. A glance out the window causes her eyes to widen a moment, then she squeezes her eyes shut and murmurs, in Japanese, ( She might have slept, too! It was a loooong ride.] ) (I don't think she would have let herself sleep. If she did, it was fitful.) [It's daytime here! Dawn, in fact, as the plane touches down. Keiko is escorted off it and towards the nearby base.] * Keiko shuffles along very slowly, still talking about how this must be a nightmare to herself in a very flat tone. [Keiko is lead inside the building. The walls are a deep green color, and lights from the floor illuminate the entrence corridor all the way down. Inside, flanked by two dorky scientist guys, is a handsome, tall man in a white lab coat, with his fair hair slicked back. He looks familliar, too! "Hello, Tadashi. Or do you prefer Keiko? I never was too clear on that."] * Keiko looks up to him with sudden anger and snaps quickly, "Keiko." * Keiko 's anger immediately drains away, though, after she asserts her name. * Keiko isn't letting people touch her if she can help it, either. [He looks past Keiko to the guards behind her and nods, and starts walking. They make her follow! Somehow. Probably with guns.] * Keiko knows how to listen to guns! She hugs herself tight and, after a little walking, says quietly in Russian, (Or are we assuming we're all in Russian now?) ( Oh, right. Yeah. ) (Okay, then those are non-<>) ["Let you be? The whole reason we let you go in the first place was part of our plan." He chuckles. "Although, to get picked up by Blitzkrieg..."] * Keiko looks up, stunned, and says quietly, with a note of defiance in her voice, "No, you're wrong... Mother rescued me." ["Of course she did." He stops at a room and walks inside. Within the room are computers! And a tray of lab equipment. And most importantly, a chair with all sorts of technological devices and a big monitor. He nods to the chair. "Sit down."] * Keiko shakes her head and steps towards him, saying more defiantly, "She did! She recused me. She rescued me from... from..." * Keiko 's hands rub her covered upper arms. [He says again. "Sit down." The other scientists move over to the computers.] (So it's two scientists, Grozvi, and two guards?) (The guards having hats on?) ( Yep! ) (And Keiko's hands are free, and she has the binding circlet on, right?) ( Yeah. ) * Keiko swallows, then steps towards him before trying to demand, in a quiet voice, "What does it do?" [He doesn't answer, instead turning to the guards. "If she doesn't sit down in the next five seconds, make her."] * Keiko looks over to the guards with a sudden look of terror, forgetting Mr. Slick as she backs towards the chair, watching them both warily. ( It makes you play Takeshi's Challenge over and over. ) * Keiko keeps her arms wrapped around her as she sits in the chair, still watching them both. One hand comes up so she can run her fingers along her collar. ["Arms on the armrests."] * Keiko looks over at him and asks quietly, "What are you going to do. Just tell me, Grozvi." [He glares at Keiko. "We'll be measuring the success of the experiment. Now, put your arms on the armrests."] * Keiko bites her lip a moment, then lowers her arms to the armrests, gripping them both tightly. [The doctors start hitting buttons. The chair powers on with a vrmmmmmmMMM sound, and the monitor turns white. And bands of metal clasp around the armrests and Keiko's arms, strapping her in. Another one clasps her neck to the back of the chair.] * Keiko lets out a quiet fearful cry when she gets bound in at her arms, before biting her lip again, hard, and sucking in a slow breath through her nose. [Grozvi walks over, lowering a helmet like device to Keiko's head. "The machine you're in, if you must know, is a new device we've been eager to test. Put in terms you can understand, it interlaces with the chip in your brain, allowing us to look at your memories." He adjusts a few things. "I must admit, I'm quite interested to know more about Germany's top secret anti-terrorist organization."] * Keiko 's eyes widen and she tries to jerk her head away, saying, "You made my head bright--how? How can't I feel it?" [The doctors hit a few switches, and the screen begins showing an image. It's Rasputin, going over something or other with Keiko, the same way he did quite some time ago.] * Keiko blinks at the image, then her hands grip the chair tighter as she tries to focus her mind, to fight the machine off. Disruption or not. [Annoyingly, it doesn't work at all. Grozvi looks at the doctors. "Not here. Move further."] [Next up is some snowy city. And Haruko's there, buying Keiko a duck.] * Keiko looks at the screen a while, and her eyes start to leak tears. And then she tries to jerk her head to the side to damage the machine, saying quietly in Japanese, [It gets worse, as the machine then shows Keiko and Haruko making out. One of the guards gags, and one of the scientists mutters. "She was interferring with the experiments to such a degree?!"] [Grovzi does neither, however. "No. Go past this. Much further ahead. I want to see about her time in Blitzkrieg."] * Keiko sees it and whispers quietly, "Kei..." before she tries to slam her head around inside the helmet moreso. Maybe she can damage the limiter circlet. Something. [It doesn't work. Actually, it's pretty hard to move her head at all. The video speeds up, skipping points here and there before getting to the car ride when Keiko first arrived at the organization. And just in case it wasn't clear, there IS audio, too.] (Okay, there's none of my attributes I could try to make a push roll to break something with, right?) * Keiko continues thrashing her head as best she can, which isn't much. It's all she can do. ( Maybe make a body roll for chance of breaking your neck. ) (Ha.) [Eventually it gets to the point where Keiko first uses her telepathy since coming to Blitzkrieg. Her thoughts are actually audible from the speakers.] * Keiko squeezes her eyes shut and continues saying quietly, (All her thoughts? Or just thoughts she telepathizes?) [One of the scientists gapes. "Amazing. It even translates mental communication to audio." The other one nods. "We're actually inside the subjects head, recording her memories. Truely, remarkable technology."] ( Just her telepathy, but! ) [The first time someone (Luana!) responds mentally, it picks that up, too!] * Keiko suddenly looks over at them and says, "You didn't know? This isn't yours--how'd you get this!" * Keiko 's voice sounds a bit frantic, now. ["Don't be ridiculous," says Grovzi. "Of course it's ours. What did you think this facility was for? This entire complex, all for the sake of a rogue scientist's pet project?"] * Keiko says quietly, weakly, "Then why were you surprised? I--there were other things, but you did so much to me--nnh!" she tries to throw the helmet off again, to no avail. ["We wanted to test the machine, so we arranged for your escape. Of course, getting picked up by Blitzkrieg was a stroke of luck we didn't anticipate."] * Keiko slumps and then says weakly, "How'd you hide it... why didn't I know..." ["Did you think we'd create a potential threat to ourselves without first taking the necessary precautions? Your abilities can't affect me, or any of the other scientists in the compound."] (So how didn't she know that she couldn't telepathy them? Their minds couldn't possibly have been always silent. >_>) ( Fake thoughts? ) (That would be awesome, but I have no idea how you manage to make realistic fake thoughts. @_@) (Anyway.) ( Me neither. ) * Keiko continues, still stunned and weak, "But you weren't silent... did you make a second mind, like Ten...?" ["That's none of your concern." And the memory scanner is now up to the point where Keiko is burying her face in Zarina's cleavage on that first night. One of the scientists whistles.]] (I really can't imagine they've got absolutely perfect Keiko defenses. But something like that could almost work.) (As a weird sort of mind shield.) ( Chip in the brain ) * Keiko looks up at the screen and swallows before shaking and muttering, [He laughs. "She's calling me a pervert." The other one laughs with him. "She's the one taking advantage."] * Keiko looks over at them with her eyes and says, "It--it's not like that. I just--it's your fault. The nightmares--your nightmares--" she sucks in a sudden breath and shakes, straining at her bonds a second before she exhales loudly. [It scans Luana's dream, next.] [One of the guys says, "And now we're in a dream." The other says, "No, it's the memory of a dream." The first nods. "Ah. That explains it."] * Keiko looks at the screen a moment, then grits her teeth and tries to focus on thinking about that dream and that dream alone. Maybe she can slow down their search. [It doesn't seem to work much at all, and the scanner goes on to Keiko learning German and training, getting in trouble, and the lawn picnic.] * Keiko shakes in her chair and she says weakly, "How many violations upon my soul..." as she swallows and continues to try to think of other things. Are the edges of the chair rounded or sharp corners? [Rounded. Not that she can reach them anyhow.] [It goes further on, through more training to the point where you're ambushed at the restaurant, then to the part where Keiko's interrogating the mercenary. Grovzi chuckles. "Spare us the melodrama. What we're doing now is no different than what you did to this man."] * Keiko is silent a moment, then whispers quietly, "It--I did that to survive. You--you're doing it for fun." ["Wrong. We do this because it is the job."] [And I'm gonna end it, 'cause I'm tired.]
