[MEANWHILE!] [Heinrick wakes up after a short night's rest in a prison cell. After giving him fifteen minutes to eat breakfast (whether he did or not, they don't care), two guards open the cell and gesture for him to come on out.] * Heinrick does not particularly look well. He's putting his hand to his forehead and running it through his hair. He hasn't eaten. But he also is probably going slower than the guards would like. * Heinrick finally gets up and looks at the guards, chuckling lightly. "Well, it seems hospitality is not lost at least." He gets up and walks towards the cell doors, slightly uneven. [They say nothing! But they do look impatient.] * Heinrick gives a half-cocked smile. "What time is it then?" He doesn't expect an answer really, but he's with them now. [They don't answer! They just gesture again.] * Heinrick *is* out. Perhaps they need help with better eyesight. [They gesture in a direction with their guns. Heinrick probably remembers it leads toward that chamber from before.] * Heinrick tries to watch that direction, but staggers and clutches his head. He tries to grab for something to steady himself. (s/watch/walk) [The two guards exchange looks, and watch Heinrick warily. One of them says, "Hey, get a move on."] * Heinrick gives the guard who talks a long cold stare and starts laughing. Laughing pretty hysterically actually. He's not, in fact, getting a move-on. He's just staring inbetween laughs at him. * Heinrick lunges for the guy's gun, midlaugh, with his left arm. (And I'm guessing init?) ( Ok! ) * Dicesuke has joined #MCsomemore ( Just to make this easier. ) [Heinrick, Guard1, Guard2] * Heinrick 's grabbing for that gun! 2d8+2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8+2) and gets a natural 9 for a result of 11. [Heinrick fails to grab the gun. The guy points it menacingly at him and shouts: "Don't move!" The other guy gets on a radio. "We need assistance at the cells! One of the doctors has gone crazy!"] [It's Heinrick's turn again.] * Heinrick turns to the guy who says "don't move" and watches him for a moment, then holds his palm to his face (his own face, thankfully). He then lashes out and shoulderrushes the guy with the gun. 2d8-1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8-1) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 6. (Make there) [Heinrick bowls the guy over. The other guy drops his gun and reachs for a stun gun on his belt.] * Heinrick is still running! Gotta catch him! ( Go ahead and roll it.] ) (...roll what?) (He's kept running in the same direction after bowling him over. So he's running away.) ( Oh ) ( Well then. >.> ) (Unless the stun gun was an attack I need to dodge.) ( It is now! ) 2d8-4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8-4) and gets a natural 5 for a result of 1. (Ninja'd) [As Heinrick runs, the second guy reaches for him with the stungun! And fails to connect.] ( Hoo boy. ) [Heinrick runs down the length of the corridor! The guards quickly chase after.] (Don't hoo boy me! You took his medication!) (/me needs description of places to go then!) [Heinrick comes to an intersection. He can go left, down non-descript corridor, or right, down another non-descript corridor.] * Heinrick isn't really in the, y'know, thinking zone right now. So he runs off in a random direction...which happens to be... d2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (d2) and gets a natural 1 for a result of 1. * Heinrick goes left! [Heinrick runs! Gimme a body roll!] (Super Strength count or is this straight running?) ( Straight running ) 2d8 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8) and gets a natural 5 for a result of 5. (Makeitude!) [Heinrick begins to outpace his persuers as he comes to a corner. Around it, he discovers stairs! But when he comes to the top, he finds himself facing Maximillion, the older-looking man with a receeding hairline, in a nice suit. He holds up a syringe and says in a somewhat raspy voice, "Well, then. I guess we know what this is for, mm? Doctor?"] * Heinrick doesn't stop. He breaks all monologue ettiquette by trying to slug Maximillion in the face. Villains have *got* to be smarter than this. 2d8-1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8-1) and gets a natural 11 for a result of 10. (And, sadly, misses.) [Evidently, Max is smarter than that, because as Heinrick misses by a hairs breath, he brings the syringe up and jabs it at Heinrick.] 2d8-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8-3) and gets a natural 9 for a result of 6. (Or he doesn't!) [Or he doesn't. Heinrick!] * Heinrick gets behind Max and tries a good bear hug! Hard to jab if you can't move your arms. 2d8-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8-2) and gets a natural 6 for a result of 4. [Heinrick grabs Max! Or does he? He felt himself grabbing hold of the man, but when he blinked, Max simply wasn't there.] [He actually wound up behind Heinrick, somehow, and tries the syringe again. "Now, now. Take your medicine like a good boy."] * Heinrick actually isn't blinking now anyway! 2d8-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8-3) and gets a natural 11 for a result of 8. (Now it's a failed dodge.) [Heinrick is jabbed with a syringe, and can feel his senses returning to him.] * Heinrick 's heavy breathing slowly returns and he squints his eyes tightly before looking at Max. He still has a cold look when he looks at him, and his breathing seems labored, but he's not striking for him this time. He staggers back, and now he looks more tired than upset. His breath is still labored as he speaks. "Taking it in the first place...was a foolhardy move..." ["Really now, you can't have expected us to know what it was, what with all that other nasty stuff you carried."] [The other guards catch up. Max smiles. "Well now, doctor, you'd better get to work. You don't want to be late."] * Heinrick smiles nastily. "So people who deal with toxic viruses have no idea what a rebalancing agent looks like? I am shocked. And appaulled." He looks at the guards. "And you honestly cannot expect me to work straight after that ordeal...going like that takes a lot more out of me than you realize..." [Max rolls his eyes. "Honestly, Dr. Engels. If we had such chemists under our employ, do you think we would need to resort to kidnapping?"] * Heinrick lets his smile turn into a slight smirk. "Ah. Then you had a supplier." ["Enough stalling, Doctor. The others are waiting for you."] * Heinrick shrugs slightly. "Stall? I simply enjoy casual chats. But very well." He turns to go with the guards. "However, if you could produce a fine pipe..." ["Perhaps in another life time, we could share opium together."] Not quite the pipe I meant. * Heinrick looks over the guards. He looks groggier than before. [The guards radios crackle, and one of them lifts it to his ear. He looks at Max. "Boss.... Problems."] ( I prefer crack.) [He walks over to converse with Max a few feet away in private, while the other guy watches Heinrick.] * Heinrick stops and glances radio-ward. (It's for my ward, you see. She needs it.) [After a short conversation, The guard approaches Heinrick and turns his gun on him. Max follows. "I'm afraid there's been a change in plans, doctor. If you'll please head back to your cell..."] * Heinrick sighs and shakes his head. "I know it is difficult to admit that there are difficulties. But very well. I'll let you attend to it." [He doesn't say anything, but helps to escort Heinrick back to the cell. On the way, Heinrick sees doctor Haruko Minsha led to a cell two blocks from his. Dr. Shibamura is nowhere in sight.] * Heinrick notices that but doesn't comment. [Once Heinrick is safely locked away again, Max leaves.] (Are we alone now?) (Does there not seem to be anyone around?) ( Nope, the two guards are still there.] ) * Heinrick sighs and leans back on his cot. "Well. I suppose things are not *too* dangerous out there then." (Presuming the cell even has a cot.) [They say nothing! And it has a board with a matress on it, which is somewhat like a cot.] * Heinrick smirks slightly and closes. "I mean after all. They did not trust you enough to go with them." ( Gimme a soul roll! ) (Would I count Intimidation or is this something else?) 2d8 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8) and gets a natural 12 for a result of 12. (And the skill would make the difference.) (Actually, no it wouldn't. Failed.) ( There's not really a skill for it ) [The guards ignore Heinrick.] (I'd actually say it's intimidation. It's a sort of provoke.) ( Not for what I was using it for. ) * Heinrick looks around at his cell for a moment. [It's got the not-a-cot and a toilet. That's it. Not even a window.] * Heinrick steals a glance at Haruko then. Do NPCs do anything interesting when they're given names? [Heinrick can't see Haruko because she's two cells down on the same side.] * Heinrick would thank the GM to be more specific in the future then! [From what Heinrick can remember of seeing her recently, she's a bit short, even for an Asian, and neither particularly pretty nor ugly. And she wore a white labe coat.] * Heinrick notes that none of this helps in what she is currently *doing*. * Heinrick watches the guards. This is thrilling. [Heinrick can blame the other group for messing up their move silently rolls.] * Heinrick stands up slowly. "You do realize that prison cells would be the first place anyone would look, yes?" [They say nothing!] * Heinrick shakes his head slightly and walks over nearest to the cell where he saw them bring Haruko. "I apologize if I'm disturbing you any. It is simply so boring here." [One of them snickers.] * Heinrick smiles. "And here I thought they were made of wood all this time. I was going to attempt to set one on fire in a few moments." [He stops snickering and glares at Heinrick.] * Heinrick looks at the guard. "Ah. Now he goes through the whole range of emotions. He should have been an actor." ["And you should just shut up."] Or? I don't suppose they gave you orders around that. ["Or I tell the boss you had a little accident."] * Heinrick raises an eyebrow. "And everyone around you will back you on this?" ["Of course they will!" he yells. Then he glances at the other, non-talkative, guy hesitantly.] [They stare at each other for a bit, then the first guy says, "You wouldn't rat me out, Danny, right?"] * Heinrick meanwhile tries to make his way towards the cell door and bend it as discreetly as possible with his cyber-arm. [They exchange stares for a bit longer. Then the second guy shoots the first. "Guess I found a traitor."] ( Gimme a stealth roll. ) 2d8-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8-3) and gets a natural 5 for a result of 2. ( Silent movement I guess ) (Would have been make even if not.) ( Now a strength roll ) 2d8-8 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8-8) and gets a natural 12 for a result of 4. [Heinrick slowly, discreetly begins to bend the door.] * Heinrick rams the door once it's weak enough to open and begins rushing the remaining guard. [Heinrick, then the guard.] 2d8-1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8-1) and gets a natural 10 for a result of 9. (Dammit Dicey! At *least* have a love for the dramatic!) [Annoyingly, Heinrick charges past the guy without hitting him, and he opens fire.] 2d8-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8-3) and gets a natural 5 for a result of 2. (Double ninja'd. o/~) [But Heinrick avoids getting shot! His turn] * Heinrick takes another hit at the guard. Hit to kill. Who cares if he's named? 2d8-1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8-1) and gets a natural 11 for a result of 10. (...bloody *hell*) 2d8-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8-3) and gets a natural 6 for a result of 3. (Pre-emptive defense roll. :P) (at least you're not missing AND getting hit.) (This is true!) [It plays out like a bizarre bull fight, where Heinrick is the bull.] [His turn again!] 2d8-1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8-1) and gets a natural 4 for a result of 3. * Heinrick throws a quick jab to the guard's stomach to double him over then. [And it works, too!] (Guard out?) [Nope. He doubles over, then opens fire.] 2d8-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8-3) and gets a natural 11 for a result of 8. (Should really be block defending with his arm. Ah well.) [Heinrick avoids being shot. His turn!] (Uh...he actually doesn't. ^^; Unless you *are* allowing the block defense. In which case he does.) ( Oh ) (Or rather doesn't, but gets shot in a metallic area which would hurt much less.) ( Well I am, but you kinda have to specify before hand. ) (Heinrick *hits* on an 8, defends on a 6.) (I know. I was going to take the damage because I didn't specify.) (But if you're allowing it, thanks.) [Heinrick's arm gets shot. Ew.] * Heinrick throws a backhand to the guard's chest. With the arm that just ricochetted a bullet. And probably cracks a rib if he connects. 2d8-1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8-1) and gets a natural 10 for a result of 9. ( Oh man. ) (Alas, he does not.) (Dicey does not wish you to have brief fights.) [The guard steps back to avoid the punch, trips on his dead partner's body, falls and hits his head on one of the bars of the cell.] ( 'Cause this is ridiculous. ) (Thank you.) * Heinrick takes a breath, dusts himself off (which includes removing the bullet from his arm if it stuck), and searches the guard for a key. Or futuristic keycard or whatever would open the cells. He also takes one of the guns. [They do have those! But not here. This guy just has an old fashioned keychain ] ( Also, howl ong does Heinrick wait between injections ) (In his character sheet, it says he needs 2 per day. So 12 hours.) * Heinrick goes up to Haruko's cell and looks for the key to open it. "I apologize for taking so long in that." [Haruko had her face in her hands. She looks up. And responds! In Japanese. ""] (Hey, you learned Japanese!) * Heinrick looks at her and shakes his head. "Who would have guessed having such a ward would have proved useful here?" He looks at Haruko and replies, "" (I'm not useful here. ;_;) (What Heinrick means is if he didn't have a ward that spoke Japanese, he probably would have had no reason to learn it.) (I know what he means! I'm being silly.) * Heinrick stops while looking for the keys and glances up. "" ["" She gets up.] "" [""] * Heinrick nods. "" He unlocks the cell door. [Haruko hurries out.] * Heinrick nods and shuts the door, putting the keys in his pocket. "" [""] "" * Heinrick adds, "" [""] * Heinrick nods. "" [Haruko nods ""] * Heinrick nods. "" [She nods and starts leading. Slowly, though, and cautiously. Like she doesn't want to get surprised and then shot.] * Heinrick likes her already. He follows. [After walking through numerous and varied corridors.... Gimme a stealth (move silently) roll] 2d8-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8-3) and gets 13, a CRITICAL FAILURE!!! "Maybe you should consider sacrificing some barnyard animals?" ( Oh man. ) (Heinrick steps on a baby. It cries.) (...Gee...thanks.) ( Ooooooooooh man. ) (Good job, baby stepper!) (At least I got out of my cell, pansy.) (They won't even put me IN a cell.) [Haruko hears something and stops suddenly at a corner. Too suddenly, because Heinrick bumps into her, causing her to stagger out into the open. Right in front of the leader, the Hispanic man. He was saying something into a radio, then stops suddenly. "Well."] * Heinrick doesn't hesitate and goes for the radio. We don't need no stinkin' radios. 2d8+8 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8+8) and gets a natural 6 for a result of 14. (Low inits, high rolls...ain't my night.) [Heinrick goes for the radio! ... And the man moves past him as he does, throwing a backfist at the back of Heinrick's head.] (That was init. I don't even roll for going for it? ^^;) 2d8-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8-3) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 5. (And making the defenses nicely.) ( Oh. Whoops. ) 2d8 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Heinrick (2d8) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 7. ( Well, Valmont was first either way. ) (THAT was the disarm attempt.) [Heinrick gets a hold of the radio.] * Heinrick tries to grab Valmont's wrist and smash the radio against the wall. ( Oi oi ) (No go?) ( I'm getting confused ) (But that's what the disarm was supposed to be.) (I can retcon it if you won't allow that as a disarm.) ( Might be a good idea to end here, actually. Will you be around next week? ) (And do you want to end this channel after this too?) (Iffy.) ( orz ) (I'll have family visiting next week.) (So might be out with them.) ( Tell them you have to fight a terrorist. They'll understand ) (*snerks*) (Actually, I probably could tell them I have a game. They know I play.) (But I'll let you know.) ( Alrighty ) [Then I declare this session to be over!]
