[Don't wanna bother figuring out the date and time. Because I am le tired. But a few hours after returning to base.] (That work for you? :P) (Yah.) [Rose is in her office fending off the eternal paperwork monster. Guardian's never get a break. They put their own lives and their wards lives on the line from day to day, and they still need to fill out the form in triplicate.] (No apostrophe there.) [She's probably almost done. Or almost started. When she gets a knock at her door.] [Mini start!] * Roseli is typing away at her computer. "Come in," she says, not looking away from her monitor. * Heinrick opens the door and takes a step in. He takes one look at Rose and lets out a sigh. "They do like to keep us up with the busy work, do they not?" * Roseli glances at Heinrick. "No." She waves for him to have a seat; there's a couch against the wall and a chair near her desk. "Decided to do this on my own, though." * Heinrick takes a seat. The comfy chair and turns to look at Roseli. "So this isn't your usual paperwork? * Roseli shakes her head and looks back at the monitor, obviously scrolling through some stuff. "The new ward." * Heinrick nods. "Discover any new information?" No. Just recommendations. * Roseli finishes the scrolling and pulls out a package of gum, offering some to Heinrick. Is "This is a masterfully poorly thought out idea" included anywhere in there? * Heinrick takes the gum and nods his head in thanks. Can put it in. They won't listen. * Roseli removes a stick of gum for herself, unwraps it, and pops it in her mouth. She stretches her arms before folding them against her desk. * Heinrick shrugs slightly. "It was worth a try." He leans back in the chair and rubs the bridge of his nose. "Were you thinking about taking a break any time soon?" * Roseli snerks. "No. But I can." * Heinrick nods and stands up, putting his hands in his coat. "I could do with some fresh air." Sure. * Roseli saves whatever it is that's on her computer and closes it, then gets to her feet, going over to the coat rack and getting her jacket: the one Karin and Isis got her for Christmas, though it's had to be a bit patched up since then. She pulls on said jacket as she exits her office. * Heinrick exits too. The two of them walk, presumably outside. Heinrick walks a little further and looks around before taking a deep breath. "Ah. Yes. It's good every once and a while to get out from under the microscope, don't you think?" * Roseli puts her hands in her pockets and looks around Blitzkrieg's grounds. "A little." Need to take Jamie shopping. * Heinrick turns towards her and starts digging through his coat pockets for his pipe. "Mind if I smoke?" Yes. * Roseli looks apologetic. "Sorry." Trying to kick the habit. (Sorry, AFK. Student just came in.) * Heinrick shrugs slightly and puts it away, taking a deep breath. "I haven't done it in so long myself. Tobacco is notoriously bad for you." (He's a little busy atm, but it's going to be a while. Maybe half an hour to an hour.) * Roseli nods. "Stress, right?" Pause. "Go ahead." * Heinrick chuckles slightly. "Not really. Not in the usual sense." He straightens up slightly. "I can't remember if I've ever asked you what specifically drew you into this line of work..." * Roseli chews her gum and continues eyeing the grounds. "Didn't." ( Wha? D: ) (Hey Brett.) (Minis!) ( Don't let me stop you >.> ) * Heinrick doesn't looks away from Rose for a minute, putting his hands behind his back. He shakes his head slightly. "I thought not. And you have no reason to tell me. I am just...curious where the loyalties lie is all, I suppose." He smirks slightly to himself and looks even further away. "And yet even attempting to be brutally honest I can't." * Roseli looks at Heinrick and cracks her gum a little. "Depends on the work." (Why's that doesn't in there? It shouldn't be there.) Military because I needed money. Kids because I wanted to. Here because I have to. * Heinrick raises an eyebrow to Roseli. "Oh? Is that so?" It actually sounds genuine, not sarcastic. (Swap those.) (Yup.) ( I'm just curious where you're holding this conversation. :P ) (Outside.) (Outside, I think past the surveillance cameras.) (Yes.) (Since Heinrick totally checked before.) (Yup!) * Heinrick chuckles slightly to himself. "Ah, the binds run deep then. I cannot decide for the life of me whether Gottlieb was smart or a fool to leave when he did." * Roseli shrugs. Don't even know why he left. Probably got wiped. * Heinrick shakes his head. "I may have done some questionable acts in my time, Ms. Tavares. No more than I presume you did for getting here. Compared to us, Senior Togo must look like a absolute boyscout." Maybe. Not so sure. ( He stopped showing up for work and got fired :P ) (That doesn't answer Heinrick's question though!) ( Plus Togo aided and abeited a Muslim! ) * Heinrick nods. "We may never be." He pauses for a moment, as if he's being careful with his words. When he speaks out again, it's in a very serious tone. "A time must come where we must always look into our sins. But should we delve into our sins when to do so may mean another may misuse them?" * Roseli blinks. "Depends." * Heinrick turns to Roseli and takes out his pipe anyhow and starts fiddling with it. "On? * Roseli doesn't object to the pipe. "On what you mean." If you 'must', sounds like you don't have a choice. ( You mean the first must or second must? ) (Why yes.) * Heinrick smirks slightly and then shrugs. "Ah, you did catch me in that. Yes, I must look into it. I pity being so introspective..." He then sighs and then returns serious again. "Though it is what must be done after I look into them that remains uncertain. I cannot say I care much for it." There is also limits to what *can* be done, I'm afraid. And that is what I must figure out... Don't really know what you're talking about. Sounds like you don't want to tell me? * Heinrick smiles slightly at Roseli and then sighs. "About as much as you would wish to speak of your past if something was bothering you..." He regains a confident tone and looks squarely at her. "I wouldn't worry. This won't affect how I work." Not worried about your work. Just trying to give advice. Only can do so much when I don't know anything. * Heinrick nods slightly. "Perhaps. But I'm not certain if it's advice that I am seeking. It would not be a weight to put on your shoulders as is." * Roseli nods. "Sure." * Heinrick smiles slightly to himself. "Thank you all the same. I know I must be an infuriating person to work with..." ( And how! ) (Because Control's *so* much better!) Not that bad. * Roseli grins. "Except when you talk in riddles." (When he doesn't talk in riddles she means?) (Yes.) * Heinrick lets out an amused look as he responds. "Perhaps it'd allow you to respond in full sentences then?" * Roseli rolls her eyes. "Fine," she says, letting some sarcasm creep into her voice. "If you want full sentences, I can do that." (Gonna need to sleep by 12:30, btw.) * Heinrick shrugs. "It does not really bother me." He lets out a slight sigh. "Thank you for your time, Ms. Tavares. I hope this didn't seem like a waste. But if there is anything else, I will be sure to let you know.." I will be sure to make it up to you in the future. ( I hear a date coming up. ) (only in fanficland) * Roseli nods. "If you want to talk to me about... whatever it is, not opposed." * Heinrick nods slightly and takes out his pipe. He looks about ready to say something and then shakes his head. "No, it's nothing. Don't let me keep you from your work." * Roseli cracks her gum again. "Already did." Any further then. Fine. * Roseli gives an offhanded wave and heads back towards the facility. "Be seeing you." (Rose can so totally take a hint.) (It wasn't meant to be a hint. :P) * Heinrick sighs and takes out his pipe and puts it in his mouth, lighting it and staying out off the grounds a little bit longer. He takes a puff himself and then looks off into the distance. "And may Zarina forgive me for either decision that I have to make." He starts walking back himself. [Mini end?]
