[Day: Tuesday, May 5th. Time: 11:00 a.m.] (CINCO DE MAYO) (Time for Togo to take Luana out for a drink.) [You are all in the briefing room. Except for Rose, who apparently is still in the medical bay after getting decked by Pavla. Karin, Gertrude, and their respective wards are there, too. And so's Lydia, who undoubtedly has a lot of monologuing to do.] [Start] (Search check to find Gabriel did not work, correct?) * Jamie 's seated, but keeps glancing up and back at the door expectantly. (Did we find any of the weapons he had with him?) (Those, also important.) ( Nope ) * Luana is messing with her holocomputer and surfing the web. If anyone's paying attention to her browsing, she seems to be looking up different models of pistols used in the American west in the 1800s. (Oh, FFS.) (Did we get to send out a team to do that search FOR us?) (People from Section 1, perhaps?) ( Unless you want to do it. ) (Yes, we would have called in a search party if we couldn't find it ourselves.) (Well, I'm not a guardian, but that seems like the natural course of action. ^^;) (You're not, but I was away fixing dinner so didn't get to throw that in before you did. ^_~) (Well, you do want me to be more independant. Anyway.) * Togo is sitting at the table, loading a clip for his automatic rifle, waiting for the meeting to begin. (Within your purview!) * Keiko is also in the briefing room, then. She's back in blue, but has chosen orange, red, and yellow ribbons, braided together and then used to tie her hair back. She's tapping her duck on the nose idly and looking out the window. [Now that that's out of the way, Lydia actually says something. "With the director gone, I've taken the role of acting director until a new one is appointed. I'm sure I don't have to tell you we have a lot of work to do."] * Heinrick is also in the briefing room, fingers folded together. He has a few files out in front of him but is otherwise waiting calmly. [She pulls up an image of a man. His hair is short and dark, but otherwise he looks a lot like Gabriel. "Yusef Winterbaur. Age 44. Occupation: HESO agent. And he's Gabriel's younger brother."] * Jamie focuses on the picture, glances at Luana, and then back to the door. * Heinrick nods slightly as he watches. "I suspect this was a possible contact then?" ["As I'm sure you all know, up until a two-and-a-half years ago, Gabriel Winterbaur and Director Erik Graf were in section 1, which was at the time the only section of Blitzkrieg. Prior to the formation of Blitzkrieg they, and Yusef, belonged to HESO. Yusef turned his back on his country and remained in HESO's employ rather than join Blitzkrieg."] * Keiko half-smiles to herself and thinks to the other wards, ~Of course, it was in our 'Welcome to Blitzkreig' introductory coloring book.~ ["Two years, ago, before section 2 was formed, Gabriel and Erik were involved in a terrorist situation that led to the bombing of Rosenburg."] ("Guide the ward through the maze so she can find her appropriate genetic engineering!") * Jamie has a brief moment of confusion and then realizes that it's probably a joke. * Luana smiles a bit. ~I think I got Gabriel's hair color wrong in that one.~ ["Director Graf was in charge of the mission. Winterbaur was the field commander."] ["They knew the terrorists had a bomb, but during the operation they discovered that the terrorists had taken hostages. In particular, the mayor of Rosenburg and his family. When he heard they were going to be executed, Erik ordered Gabriel to rescue them."] [From what I understand, Gabriel wanted to place priority on securing the bomb first. But that likely would have meant the death of the hostages, and Erik ordered Gabriel to see to them first."] * Keiko 's smile slips away as the story goes on, and she continues to tap the duck lightly. * Heinrick listens on with a neutral expression, soaking it all in ["They rescued the hostages, but," Lydia hits some buttons, bringing up an aerial view of a devastated three-block radius of a city. "They weren't able to stop the bomb. There were over 1000 casualties."] * Jamie glances at the pictures, but continues to hold out hope that Rose will show up. * Luana winces. (See? Our collateral damage has never been *nearly* that bad. And he's the *director*) ["That's including the hostages and most of Gabriel's team. Survivors were found, however, so it was all too plausable for Gabriel to eventually turn up again."] (Ha.) (Heh) ["Or so we thought. But it's becoming apparent now that the man we thought was Gabriel was actually Yusef. The two looked uncannily alike, enough so that a wig and false fingerprints were able to fool most people."] ( If this is the acceptable level of collateral damage, Togo demands an AC-130 gunship. =P ) (Ahah! I was right to color his hair wrong!) And this didn't show up on any medical scans until now? Surely he has been treated... (Man has no imagination, he could have genemodded himself into his brother.) (Srsly) ["There was no DNA test, no."] (Wait, how the heck *did* they find this out inbetween him fleeing and him falling into the river?) (I mean, wouldn't you think they'd *inform* us of this beforehand?) ["At any rate, it's clear he was a spy. A spy who's either dead or in HESO custody now."] (he left a recording of himself gloating) (Aha! A true evil mastermind.) (Bah. How did Keiko miss this. ;_;) ( He told Heinrick and Heinrick just forgot until 5 minutes before the session started. ) (Well that makes sense. She wouldn't know Gabriel from Yusef anyhow.) (Plus he had mental shielding. Like yes.) (I more mean the 'And now it's time to betray them!' or 'I haet haet haet haet haet Blitzkreig'. ;) * Togo doesn't say anything. Nope. Nothing at all. He has absolutely nothing to add on the subject of spies in Blitzkreig, nosiree. ["It also explains why he only used a pistol. Yusef probably had no idea how to use Gabriel's signiture weapon properly."] (That's because Togo doesn't know how to be one.) * Heinrick lets out a breath. "So the real Gabriel is dead then?" ["The body was never found, but most likely, yes."] * Keiko frowns to herself and thinks, ~At least Zarina didn't have to see this.~ ( True enough. Which is exactly why he was picked. =P ) [Karin speaks up, "So he was lying all this time? Even when Zarina was dying?"] ( *holds up a sign* "Yusef Lies, Zarina Dies" ) [Lydia responds. "Quite possibly. We know he didn't care for his new ward."] ["The body is missing, and Tyrfing and a railgun with it. But Yusef isn't all of our problems, is he?" She turns her gaze towards the Red Team.] [Gertude bangs his fist on the table. "It's not my fault! Van Trier had help!"] (I always forget which team we are.) (We're blue) ( you're not red team ) (I just looked it up) (I figured that. But it'd be better if I didn't have to look it up...too.) (Also ha, Gryph) ( I had to look it up too. =P ) [Karin looks down as Lydia hits a few keys. Footage from a newcast appears! A helicopter's view of a devastated portion of a city. The headline reads "Terrorist attack! Explosion kills 120 in Kaltenkirchen."] (Is there a date?) ( Yep. "Monday" ) (Nah. An explosion's killed 120 in Kaltenkirchen every day this month.) ["Last night, Red Team successfully discovered the location of Freidrich Stolt and Thomas van Trier. They went in with a team from section 1 to capture them."] *** Signoff: Togo (Ping timeout) [Gertrude grumbles. "And we would have had them, too, if that man didn't show up."] ( orz ) (ANO HITO!!) * Keiko looks over at them with her lips pressed together thinly. If Sebastian were thinking of 'That Man', that'd be helpful! * Heinrick glances at Gertrude for a moment, then back at Lydia. "That must be a pretty impressive show of force then." [Lydia hits a few keys, and another man shows up on the TV. "According to Red Team, this man appeared to rescue them." It's the Ravenman! Hope you remember who that is, 'cause I'm not describing him again.] (I want the Rave Man. He teleports in and out using his glow sticks.) * Keiko looks back to the screen and her eyes widen. Undisguised surprise, for once. * Jamie looks at the screen, but Ravenman is not Rose, therefor only slight interest. * Luana is still messing with her own computer. * Keiko thinks at Luana, ~I met him once. He's... very weird.~ ["We still don't know anything about this man, other than he's very powerful. Who is he? What's his agenda? And why help Stolt and van Trier?"] * Keiko frowns a moment, then speaks up. "He called himself the Ravenman." ["Well, yes. We knew that, too."] * Jamie turns to look at Keiko. ~Weird name.~ [Lydia shakes her head. "Regardless, it still leaves us without Stolt and van Trier."] * Keiko is silent a moment, closes her eyes, then thinks at Luana, ~He's a murderer through and through. And... a book. Sherman and a book, maybe...~ (which mission was that again?) (37) ( The one where Mitsuji & Co. attacked a Zukunft lab ) (Keiko only knows them as Sherman & Co!) ["We've got Weber working on some leads. So far, she's turned up information that indicates Stolt and van Trier are planning some kind of biochemical attack, which leads us to believe that they've gotten a hold of the final missing viral cannister."] (Yes. Which of how many missions was that?) * Keiko shakes her head and says, "Did he blow things up, or did Stolt and van Trier?" [Karin answers. "He did. We were lucky we weren't blown up along with the city." She looks down. "And everyone else."] It still was destroyed either way. And the cannister has the potential for more lethal consequences. * Jamie nods slightly relevance finaly having been reached. (That's not relevant. They didn't mention a Roseli OR a Tavares in there.) What is the intended target then? (There have, how ever been orders from Roseli about finding those canisters!) * Keiko frowns and murmurs, "He does love death. Maybe he's just... working on the side of death." [Lydia nods. "Dr. Engels, I want you to interrogate Pavla. Find out if she'll still be useful to us. The rest of you are dismissed for now, but do not leave the base. You need to be ready to move if we find a lead on Stolt and van Trier."] * Heinrick nods slightly. [Red team gets up and heads out. Sebastian grumbles. "I hope they do find them. I've got a claymore to shove up Stolt's ass."] * Jamie looks to the door again and then down at her lap. ( Jamie is a skrull ) * Luana looks up from her computer as she stands. "Togo, I have a question." * Keiko stands up slowly, picking up her duck and giving a glance to Luana and her question. *** JesseLman (lman8381@c-98-218-236-137.hsd1.dc.comcast.net) has joined channel #MC4 * Heinrick stands up as well. "Keiko, you are on free practice time for an hour. If I am not done by then, you may use your time as you wish." ( HATE THE COMCAST ) *** JesseLman is now known as Togo ( Last I saw was the first line about the explosion. ) ( >.> ) ( Initial news report ) (Whoa) ( Someone c&p for him ) ( 'Cause that's a lot to miss .-. ) (Yes. Yes it is.) * Heinrick makes his way out to where Pavla's being held. ( Or someone just give me a reader's digest version. =P ) * Keiko looks after Heinrick oddly. (I got it.) * Togo looks over at Luana. "Fire away." ( Guy who you never met but I don't want you to forget blew up part of a city and saved the guy withthe huge schlong and the fat guy ) ( I think that covers it pretty much ) ( Gotcha ) * Jamie looks up at Lydia and hesitantly asks, "Wh-Where is Roseli?" I realize that it's not relevant to the matter at hand, but I was hoping... could I maybe, um, e-mail my brother and sister? I think they know I'm okay in general, but... (We met him though.) (But Togo didn't. Gotcha.) ["In the infirmary, as far as I know."] (What's the cover name for this place, again?) ( Technically you didn't *meet* him. Only Keiko did. ) (Yeah, just me.) ( The Child Welfare Agency ) (I thought Heinrick was carrying her at the time.) (HEr physical body.) It's been a long time, so... (See 37a.) * Togo shrugs. "Don't see why not, as long as you don't mention the secret agent stuff. Lydia?" (Ah) * Jamie nods, mumurs something that might be "thank you," and beats a haisty exit. * Keiko looks down to her duck a moment, then thinks at Luana, ~If Togo wants you to train with me after you're done calling your family, that was permission. Or in an hour.~ She looks after Jamie, and then starts to drift after. ~Have... a good talk.~ [Lydia ponders the question, then responds. "Very well, but no mention of classified information. The message will be screened before it's sent."] ( Lesse.... Lemme get Heinrick in #Pavla ) So if you've got a crush on someone in IT, you might not wanna mention it. *grins* * Luana says, "I don't!" a bit too loudly and bit more highly pitched than normal. "Thank you, Ms. Sohn. Togo." * Keiko manages a very slight smile at that before disappearing into training land. (Yeah. She has a crush on the equipment in IT.) * Luana hurries out, clutching her computer to her chest. * Togo sticks the last 7.62mm round into the magazine, and puts it into his coat. "Kids nowadays." ( Heidi Weber isn't bad looking. ) ( She's got a boyfriend though ) ( Let me know where you're going so I know how many channels to make ) (Jamie's going to the med bay to try and check up on her guardian) ( #Medbay! ) ( Togo can stay here for now; if we have time, might do a Luana/Keiko training montage. ) ( Unless Lydia wants to shoot the breeze. =P ) ( Need Keiko in a medbay!. ) ( Also.... ) [Lydia looks at Togo peculiarly for spending his free time in a briefing room. But she doesn't care enough to waste any more of hers in there, so she leaves.] (I think Keiko's lifting weights with her mind for the next hour unless someone tries to crosstrain.) (Luana's writing her letter until otherwise needed.) ( oiyoi. ) ("Let's split up, gang. :D) ( Where's Keiko training? And Luana writing? ) (Her room.) ( Ok.... ) * Togo wanders out of the room after a few minutes, then pokes his head into the training room to set some things up for Luana later. He notices Keiko in there lifting weights. "How much can you lift?" (Keiko is probably in the gym!) d50 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Brett (d50) and gets a natural 45 for a result of 45. (Where the weights are.) ( A crabsnail attacks Luana in her room! ) (o_O) (WEIRDO) ( Oh, that's easy. Keiko just gets attacked by a bunch of buff sweaty gay guys in speedos. ) ("Once you snatch the pebble from my speedo, your training will be complete.") ( Well, nobody's going to encounter Luana in her room, but maybe Keiko will get lucky in the #gym ) ( (no guarentees) ) (Togo was doing things in here with me!) ( Actually, Keiko and I can stay here for the moment ) ( Oh. Ok ) * Keiko is sitting crosslegged on the floor of the gym, eyes closed, still in her dress. She's got several unattached disks floating up and down around her. She peeks an eye open at Togo before closing it and thinking at him, ~It's looking like around a hundred kilos... when I'm not on fire.~ Not bad. Does Heinrick have you working on using that to chuck people around? * Keiko replies mentally, ~We agree on that one... but just because you can lift it doesn't mean you can throw it, right?~ * Keiko floats one of the weight disks over at Togo. Another one drops out of the air, as a third begins to float. * Togo thinks back. ~I've worked with telekinetics before, but I never quite got the mechanics of it. Can you grab objects that people are holding?~ * Keiko replies, after a moment, ~It's... easiest for you to think of it as hands. They're not, but you know hands.~ ~So... is it that right now, you've got hands, but still need to develop manual dexterity, essentially?~ * Keiko 's lip twitches into a frown as all of the weights but one fall to the ground. The one in the air flips once, and then fakes towards Togo at speed for a second, before stopping. She then replies, unamused, ~Fingers, muscles, everything. Maybe one day I'll be able to move the world.~ Beat. ~That'd be pretty unsafe, though.~ ( Luana! Join #medbay! if you would ) ~I know people who've tried that. Never ends well.~ *rubs neck* ~You feel like training something else? I've got some time while Luana writes to her family; we could work on your marksmanship, hand-to-hand, or general trenchcoat technique.~ * Keiko reopens her eyes to look at him. ~Trenchcoat technique? The... Lydia will never let me have your coat.~ (It's telling me there's no one else in there?) (The !.) (ahh) (For some reason, he put a ! on the end. WEIRDO.) ~Unfortunate, but I was more referring to how to properly use a normal trenchcoat to earn bonus style points in the field.~ * Keiko looks at him funny, then flips the weight in the air, letting it spin as she replies, ~Luana'd like that better. I just don't have anywhere else to hide my gun.~ ( Well, I know this woman who makes great storage spaces for women... how do you feel about weaponry in your cleavage?) ~It's like another dress.~ ( Zarina could have stored a bazooka. ) (Dare I say two bazookas? Ha ha ha ha sigh.) ~I know, I know. Was joking mostly. Partly. Not really.~ *coughs* ~Anyway. Want to do any of the other stuff? You can attack me and pretend I'm someone you feel like hitting.~ * Keiko replies, ~Oh.~ She's silent a moment, then stands up and replies, ~You don't want that. Hand to hand is fine. Lu would be glad I was working on it.~ ~Extra bonus, then. Just promise not to hit me in the face; I can function with broken glasses, but it makes things harder, and it takes time to get new ones.~ * Keiko smiles thinly, replies mentally, ~I'll try not to take the easy way out,~ and then puts the other weight down before floating herself over into the center of the gym. ( How tall is Keiko? ) (A towering 5'5".) ( ATTACK OF THE 65" WOMAN! ) (And a svelte 64 kilos or so.) (Which is why she can float herself!) (She cannot, however, use herself as a battering ram.) ( Zarina could ) * Togo grabs a pair of padded gloves from his coat and tosses them to Keiko. ~What kind of hand-to-hand training have you had so far?~ * Keiko shrugs as her duck floats away from the weights to another corner of the gym, and she catches the gloves in the air. She holds out her hands as they slip themselves on. "Basics. Strikes, grabs. Aikido out of the library. Whatever I get off Lu.~ ~Okay. What do you *want* to train in?~ ( Duck hunt!! ) (Stupid dog!) ( I'm sure recent remakes have the dog going "lolnoob" ) * Keiko sucks in her upper lip, then replies, ~Nice of you to give me a choice.~ She waits a moment longer, then, ~I need to... understand how to grab people so they don't slip away.~ ( Certainly. There's this ancient technique I know called "Bribe the GM.") * Togo nods. ~Okay. I'm no expert... I wasn't one before I lost my eyes, and I'm damn well not one now... but I can give you a few tips.~ * Keiko manages another thin smile as she replies, ~You're better than a book on anatomy.~ * Togo mentally deadpans. ~Not if you're into eye gouges.~ * Keiko thinks back, ~Too hard.~ She flexes her fingers a moment, licks her lips, then adds, ~So how do we start.~ *rubs his jaw* ~Okay, first thing is to be aware of your limitations. You're obviously not going to overpower anybody. A lot of the people you're gonna deal with are going to be taller than you, which means more reach. But we can work around that.~ * Keiko frowns for a half second, but lets Togo continue his talking. * Togo clears his throat. "One sec." He turns his back to Keiko and fiddles with the sides of his glasses. Keiko can probably hear a slight *whirr* sound, and he removes them, replacing them with a strip of black cloth tied around his head. *turns back* ~If we're gonna do grappling, I can't have the glasses on. Ready to start?~ ( Togo is 6'3, for the record ) * Keiko stretches while Togo does his thing, stretching her arms behind her back, a few other things, probably a few done incorrectly too, before nodding slowly as she looks up to him and moves her hands out a bit defensively. * Togo nods, and turns his back to Keiko. ~Some basic principles first. You're sneaking up behind me. I've got 8 inches and more than a few pounds on you. If you make the wrong first move, I get loose and suddenly you're in melee with someone bigger and stronger. Where do you grab first?~ * Keiko looks at him, then says, ~Arms. Shoulders.~ ( Eyes. ) (She was trying not to go 'Crotch! Kick him in the crotch!') ~Well, technically speaking, the first two answers I'd recommend would either be 'Nothing, shoot him in the head' or 'Kick him in the crotch', but since we're doing grappling... no, neither of those.~ * Keiko smiles thinly behind his back and replies, ~I'd think about the spine from back here.~ * Keiko then rubs her hands together. ~'d never get through, but it's a nice idea.~ ( The crotch is a good target for anyone. Except armored crotch demons. ) ~That works too. But first thing to remember: control the head, control the body. You want to go for my neck immediately, both to control my head and get me to focus on the fact that AAH, I'M BEING CHOKED.~ ( Or slimes ) * Keiko sucks in her lip, then nods slightly. ~Makes sense.~ ~Unless you're dealing with a total hardcase, anyone's first reaction to an arm around their neck is complete focus on avoiding that. Grab me by the neck and I'll demonstrate.~ * Keiko moves up behind Togo, floating up off the ground enough to get even with him, and then grabs him around the throat, not really getting her hands fully around. She does, however, drop to her feet after doing that, yanking back a bit. * Togo gets yanks back. ~Good technique. Pulling me back and down like that gets me off balance.~ *grabs Keiko's arm with both hands; plants his feet and leans forward a little* ~First thing most people will do is grab at your arm and lean forward to try to get away. This leaves them oddly balanced.~ * Keiko oofs as she's bent forward against Togo, arms stretched out. She thinks back, ~I'm not... leg?~ ~Good. Pull me back, then plant your foot on the top of my calf right at the back of my knee and push down. That'll bend the knee and force me down to one knee.~ * Keiko steps into Togo's leg, planting one of her shoes in Togo's calf as she leans back on the other, balancing her weight between them. Boy, it's good she doesn't wear heels. * Togo is forced down to one knee. ~Good. This won't work against someone a lot stronger, but if someone's that strong you damn well shouldn't be grappling with them.~ * Keiko grits her teeth a moment, then thinks back, ~That's why I do it with my mind. But then I don't have my body. It's all force.~ ~Gotcha. From this position, you're in control. You should keep your foot pressed on the back of my knee to control my leg, and with control of my head and leverage you can pretty much do whatever you want.~ ~You've got a buncha options. What do you do from here?~ * Keiko frowns, then tries to pull his head to the same side that his leg is down, to lay him out on the ground. She moves her arm around a little on his neck to try to get the right leverage. ( Is she lowering him slowly to the ground, or pulling him down? ) (Sideways twist.) ( 'kay ) * Togo gets twisted down to the ground on his side. ~Good, good. Going to the side where you control my leg was smart. Having me on my side isn't ideal, so if you want to keep the chokehold you have two options. You can roll onto your back, or you can try to roll me onto my stomach.~ * Keiko shudders, then puts her knee in his back and pushes him to his front, harder than she needs to, and then thinks back, ~No... control here.~ ( Onto his stomach? ) (Yes.) * Togo rolls onto his stomach, with his head on the mat but on his knees. ~Getting to that. You control the head, but even with all your weight bearing down, I can use my legs to roll or buck. First thing someone will do is to get their knees under them, like I do now.~ ~What you want to is to pull back on my neck while driving your center of gravity down onto the small of my back to force me to flatten out.~ * Keiko frowns and says, ~Not sure... just both knees?~ *shakes his head* ~Simpler. Just plant your read end into my back and press your weight down as you pull my head back. Gives you better balance.~ * Keiko makes a very distasteful face, then thinks back, ~Don't think anything stupid,~ before she slips her feet to either side, so that she can do what Togo asks, butt on his lower back as she pulls up on his neck. * Togo is forced to flatten out onto his stomach to relieve the pressure on his neck. ~Good. And if I think anything like that, you have my express permission to punch me in the back of the head.~ * Keiko twitches a moment, then thinks back with a frown on her face. ~Wonder if that'll work. I guess it's not as if I could hurt you. No worse than a paintball. Now what?~ *chuckles* ~You'd be surprised what a punch to the back of the head of someone with migraines could do, kid. From here... well, I'm largely fucked. You can keep pulling back on my head to keep the pressure on my neck and wrench my back, as long as you keep your weight planted into my back. Or you could lean forward, press my face into the mat, and choke me out like that.~ * Keiko shudders, then just lets go of Togo, stands up and thinks back, ~Good to know.~ She rubs her shoulders a moment, looking away. She couldn't be more nonchalant if she was whistling. * Togo stands back up, rubbing his neck. ~Good job. Nice grip, too.~ *pauses* ~One thing I forgot, though...~ *pulls a Togo-sized skeleton from his coat* ( Mmmm... ) ( I'ma call the game here. You guys can keep going til you're done if you like, but I gotta get up relatively early tomorrow ) ( 'kay. We're almost done. ) * Keiko looks back over at him, then licks her lips as she looks at the skeleton. ~Yeah?~ ( Aight. I'ma log. G'night ) !leave *** Dicesuke has left channel #MC4 *** Signoff: Brett (Quit: z.z) * Togo lays down on his back and gets the skeleton in a chokehold. ~If for some reason you ended up rolling onto your back in that chokehold, the biggest danger is that, with their legs and body free, the person will be able to turn over in the hold and end up on top of you and in punching position.~ * Keiko wraps her arms around herself. ~Which is why I didn't do it.~ *** Signoff: Luana (Quit: Trillian (http://www.ceruleanstudios.com) * Togo spins the skeleton around inside the hold so it's face-to-face with him, and starts swinging bony fists and elbows at his face. ~Which was smart. But if you ever ended up in that position...~ * Togo turns the skeleton around again, slides his right leg over its 'stomach', and locks his left leg around his right ankle. ~... you should apply a body triangle like this. It'll let you control their body and prevent them from turning over.~ * Keiko squints at it a moment, then thinks, ~I'll try to remember.~ She then rubs her neck and adds, ~So what do I do to get leverage.~ * Togo gets back up, and tucks the skeleton into his coat. ~From a normal facing position, you mean?~ * Keiko shakes her head. ~I mean from far away.~! (-!) ~Ah, with the telekinesis. Hmm.~ (Obviously, Keiko needs an astral butt.) (If astral form helped at all.) (I'm not even allowed to TK in astral form.) *** Heinrick is now known as Rowyn ~Same principle should apply. Can you grab my head with your telekinesis?~ * Keiko floats her plush over to her and pets it lightly. After a moment, Togo can feel the tight pressure around his neck. It's a much firmer grip! * Keiko then replies, ~Yes.~ ~Not... not bad. Very good, actually. Can you affect my legs at the same time?~ * Keiko does the same. Togo can feel that same restrictive pressure. ~That's not the problem. I can't... work the joints. Too much.~ ~Don't have to.~ *puts his arms out in front of himself* ~Pull forward on my neck and push back on my legs. Like a judo sweep.~ * Keiko frowns as she spins Togo forward to be held facing the ground, then protests as she floats him to the ground, pressing him there, ~But this is still the same. No real leverage. Just... force.~ ~... actually, you could probably hold me in the air by my neck and hang me, but let's not try that. Hmm... okay, float me back up parallel to the ground, high enough so my arms and legs can't reach the ground.~ * Keiko does so with ease. ~If I just wanted to hurt you, I'd hurt you. I'm trying to find out how to do better.~ ~I know. Just slightly nervous joking. S'a bit creepy to feel hands around your neck and not sense anyone there.~ * Keiko smiles thinly. ~That is just one of the many things that makes me a freak.~ The smile fades away, then she adds, ~Well?~ * Togo flails his arms for effect as he's held in the air. ~Congrats, you've just incapacitated me. I've got no leverage, nothing to push off of.~ * Keiko frowns and says, ~It's never that easy in combat.~ ~If you can get someone in the air like this, unless they can fly they won't be able to get free. In theory.~ (Togo fails to realize that many an opponent have done just that.) ( Yes, well in-game Togo doesn't understand Stupid Game TK Rules That Defy Physics ) (Snicker.) * Keiko rights Togo quickly, before letting his drop to his feet. ~I'm a little...tired of theory.~ She lets out a big sigh, then adds, ~Thanks for trying.~ (How about in-game Togo defying physics himself causing a ward to shoot her own guardian into the drink?) (He's not Genre Savvy enough) ( My choice would've been to have him spin, catch the bullets in his coat, finish the spin and have the bullets shoot back out of his coat and hit Gabe. =P ) (Ha.) (No Gryph, I'm not looking up all the tropes the MC4 characters are.) (That'd be pretty awesome.) (And yes, that *would* be pretty awesome.) (Bonus points if he shouts "Ole!" while doing it.) * Togo gets back up. "Sorry I'm not more help. I don't understand enough how you visualize things with telekinesis to help you much there. All I can say is that the teke I worked with used to tell me he threw punches with it by essentially imagining himself with really, really long arms." ( The quip would've been something like "... respect the trenchcoat." ) * Keiko mms quietly, then looks up at him with a thin frown on her face and says, ~Now you know I wasn't kidding about what I would do if you break Luana.~ ( Or "GAME OVERcoat" ) (Laem.) ( Quite ) (We'd have to kill you for that one) ~If I ever do that, you can put me down like a goddamn dog, 'cause I'll damn well deserve it.~ * Keiko 's frown starts to change, taking on a note of anger as she looks back at him and replies mentally, ~You're a guardian, Togo. The fake Gabriel, Yusef, was a guardian too. Gertrude is a guardian. Gottlieb was a guardian. Why are you angry at me? More than half the people who had your job are clearly terrible at it.~ ~Nobody's ever gonna put me up for sainthood, but I've worn the white hat for a long time, and I like how it fits.~ (*moves it after*) (And that's not more than half. Go to 'Lots of') (Keiko needs to work on her math skills) ~Am I terrible at it?~ (I need more tequila.) * Keiko is silent a moment, then thinks back, ~Don't know. Watch your command words.~ (To answer Togo's question with a straight face? Yes.) ( +1 Spirit ) * Togo winces slightly. ~Fair enough. I deserve that one.~ ~I'm just trying to build her confidence up, get her to be able to think and react on her own in the field, and keep her alive. That's it. That's the extent of my plans for her.~ ("And perhaps teach her to make me a delicious grilled cheese sandwich.") ( And to fire it out of an air-powered bazooka. ) * Keiko tilts her head a moment, then turns and heads over to the corner she was in before. She sits down hard, then thinks back, quieter, ~Maybe it'll even work.~ ~Stranger things've happened. Lemme know if you ever wanna train s'more.~ *heads out* * Keiko lets Togo go before shuddering one more time, closing her eyes, and taking a deep breath before weights float into the air again. Hooray traen! ( Unfortunately, Togo has booby-trapped the weights. *BOOM* ) [END]
