* Keiko nods slightly and thinks, ~Well, it's dead... so just a matter of time.~
<Luana> ~At least I got hurt instead of somebody else, I guess.~

<Brett> ( Sure )
<Heinrick> * Togo nods at Heinrick as he stands up, and walks over. "Yes?"
<Heinrick> * Heinrick keeps his voice low, for now at least. "I just wanted to
let you know. She's not going to be able to use her arm if we use the
painkiller. Far too numb. But without it, there'd probably be a lot of pain."
<Heinrick> * Heinrick lets out a breath. "She's your ward, so your call. Whether
you want me to tell her or you..."
<Togo> * Togo rubs his neck. "If you take that out without the painkiller,
she'll be in no condition to help us anyway. Use the painkiller, and if she's in
good enough shape to help, bring her along. If not, contact me on the comms and
I'll talk to her."
* Keiko frowns, and thinks, ~You're not shielded. It takes too much to heal you,
Lu.~ She rubs the back of her hand with her thumb. ~Doesn't help my brain
either.~
* Heinrick looks at Togo for a moment with a strange look. "If you're
certain..."
* Heinrick lets that hang for a moment, before responding. "You'd best catch up
then. I'll let her know."
* Togo nods, and heads to catch up with the others.
<Brett> [Karin and Cyra guard the exits while Odval works.]
* Heinrick glances over at Odval. "How is it coming?"
<Brett> [Odval doesn't look up. She's mixing something in a test tube. "Good. 
Everything's going smoothly."]
* Luana is breathing steadily and watching Keiko's face.
* Heinrick finishes up and heads over next to Luana, glancing at Keiko. "And how
is Luana doing?"
<Luana> Luana is doing fairly well for having a spider leg in her arm, sir.
* Keiko is looking back at Luana, then thinks at her with a soft look on her
face, ~Don't feel so down. That thing moved fast.~ She rubs her hand again, then
looks up at Heinrick before muttering, <Patronizing.>
<Heinrick> (Wish I knew how that was patronizing, but hey!)
<Luana> ~I wish I could help with the hostages. I wish I wasn't keeping you
three from helping to save the hostages.~
<Keiko> (You're either asking Keiko when she's right there, or you're using 'Kid
Voice' on her.)
<Keiko> (Grr!)
<Heinrick> ("Kid Voice"? >.>)
<Heinrick> (It's "Doctor Voice" :P)
<Heinrick> (But whatever!)
* Keiko looks back to her and thinks back at her, ~You'll be back up in a
second.~
* Heinrick kneels down next to Luana and smiles a little bit. "Sorry. I just
figured you might want to conserve your energy." He then loses it. "I want to
let you know in advance that we're going to be giving you a pretty powerful
painkiller. It'll numb your arm and you probably won't be able to use it, but
it's better than the alternative."
* Heinrick stands slightly. "Meanwhile, I'm going to run a few tests." He flicks
out his dagger and cuts a sample from the claw.
<Luana> How long will the painkiller last, sir?
<Heinrick> Probably until the end of this mission at the very least. Though I'm
confident in your abilities regardless.
<Brett> [Odval answers! "It'll last about 3 hours."]
* Heinrick nods to Odval.
* Luana blinks, surprised. "Thank you, sir."
* Keiko looks down a moment and thinks, ~Everyone's on your side. So... be
strong, 'kay?~
* Heinrick snorts. "The truth stands on its own. With or without thanks..." The
last part trails off a little distantly, then he goes off to run a few tests.
<Luana> ~Right. ...He -complimented- me.~
<Brett> ( Stolt isn't on your side. )
<Heinrick> (He should be. We're the winning side. Lewwwwwsers!)
<Brett> [Odval taps the side of her test tube. "Okay, finished." She pulls out a
syringe bla... er, just a syringe, then fills it up.]
* Keiko looks back at her and manages a half-smile as she thinks, ~Sometimes
he's almost human too.~
<Brett> [Odval kneels down near Luana. "Don't worry, this won't h... uh,
nevermind."  She pokes her in the arm. Ow!]
<Brett> [Buuut it only hurts for a bit, and then her arm goes numb.  Odval looks
at Heinrick. "Doctor."]
* Heinrick makes sure the formula works and then heads over with the solvent.
"Hold her arm steady." He waits for that to be done while he pours the solvent.
* Luana continues to not look at the injured arm.
<Brett> [She does! And the solvent works! Though it makes an unpleasant sounding
hissing noise that probably makes Luana glad her arm is numb.]
* Keiko glances over at the arm for a moment as she squeezes Luana's hand and
thinks, ~The healing thing'll take care of it, Lu.~
* Heinrick tries to remove the claw away, careful not to get caught himself, and
sets it aside once the solvent does its work. "There."
* Luana thinks very firmly, ~Togo would never lie to me. I'll be okay.~
<Jamie> (Aww)
<Brett> ( Heinrick, Gimme a medical roll for that :P )
<Jamie> (If the universe and the Gaurdian disagree, clearly the universe is at
fault.)
<Heinrick> (Yeah. Just like he wouldn't lie about not being a spy!)
<Keiko> (He may never lie, but he can be wrong!)
<Keiko> (Hey, nobody's asked him!)
<Heinrick> (Wait, why a medical roll? >.>)
<Brett> ( EM spec. I think )
<Heinrick> (It's not a surgical procedure.)
<Brett> ( Because you still have to remove the thing )
<Brett> ( You can just yank it out if you really want. )
<Keiko> (I... thought they wree dissolving it (and a bit of her arm).)
<Keiko> (Solvents dissolve things.)
<Heinrick> (Yeah...what good's the solvent then?)
<Brett> ( They dissolved the substance keeping it stuck to her. )
<Keiko> (Aha.)
<Brett> ( So that when you pull it out, you don't pull out much of her skin,
muscles and arteries. )
<Heinrick> (Well thanks for letting me know. I just tore off Luana's arm.)
<Luana> (DX)
<Keiko> (You've got a high mind!)
<Brett> [Heinrick manages to get it out, but not without causing some more
damage along the way.  But don't worry, Luana won't realize it.]
<Luana> (Now she'll have to get a new one and be twins with Heinrick. Laaaaame.)
<Heinrick> (It's not a 12 though. :P)
<Jamie> (It's okay, we'll just grow you a new one when we get back.)
<Heinrick> (Hey, Heinrick's awesome!)
<Heinrick> (Just not apparently with medical procedures.)
<Luana> (He's not my guardian though! Couldn't you have accidentally pulled out
my eyes or something?)
<Togo> ( Togo has never lied about being a spy! He's just... never brought it
up. )
* Keiko frowns a touch at Heinrick, before floating Heinrick the medpack.
<Heinrick> (Lies by omission are still lies!)
<Togo> ( An arguable position. =P )
* Heinrick keeps a steady face and shakes his head. "Well it's the best we could
do..." He starts patching Luana up a bit.
<Heinrick> (And apparently puts bandages around her forehead instead of her arm,
if that's First Aid specialty)
* Keiko then thinks back at Luana, ~All gone, Lu.~ She squeezes her hand again.
<Heinrick> (*God* Dicey.)
<Keiko> (Dice love you.)
<Brett> [Heinrick doesn't do the best patchin' job ever.]
<Keiko> (And by love, I mean hate.)
<Keiko> (Medpack helps!)
<Keiko> (GO MEDPACK GO.)
<Heinrick> (Oh, is that the injector thing?)
<Heinrick> (I was thinking first aid kit)
<Keiko> (Injector thing, I believe, yes.)
<Brett> ( Medpack isn't gonna fully heal her, though. )
<Heinrick> (Nevermind that then. Heinrick does injections instead.)
<Keiko> (No, but applied to her arm it should keep her from bleeding all over.)
* Luana looks back at her arm and sighs. "I hope there aren't any missions after
this for a week or two."
<Keiko> (And might even keep it from scarring.)
<Heinrick> (And Heinrick can do injections.)
<Brett> ( Medpack only works on 1 person per day, 3 times total )
<Keiko> (We... are aware?)
<Keiko> (Nobody said it would heal her HP fully from all the damage she's taken
and I'm not sure what you are getting at? ^^;)
* Heinrick looks over her arm as he finishes the job. "One would help." He gives
a faint sigh and shrug. "We can never tell ourselves, quite honestly. Terrorists
have a notorious habit of not taking holidays."
* Keiko adds, lowly, out loud, in a surprisingly shaky voice, "Or not taking the
same ones."
* Heinrick stands slowly. "Do you feel good to come, Ms. Hall?"
<Brett> [Karin moves over. "Will she be okay? We need to move now if we're going
to catch up to them."]
* Heinrick sighs and looks at Karin. "She should be. She won't be at full
capacity but I imagine she'll do alright."
<Brett> [Karin nods."]
* Luana slowly gets to her feet. "I'll be okay. I won't hold you back any
longer."
<Heinrick> I'm surprised you stayed behind.
<Brett> ["Well, there could be something else living in the sewers."]
* Keiko stands up with Luana, still holding onto her hand until at least they
get to their feet. Then she circles around to her other side and thinks at her,
~I'll cover your bad arm.~
<Heinrick> Yes. Us. Let's go while that is still the case.
* Heinrick picks up his pack and starts to move!
* Luana smiles back at her. ~Thanks.~ And she moves!
* Keiko heads off alongside Luana, a small smile on her lips.
<Brett> [Odval does too! Karin and Cyra bring up the rear again.]
