[Date: Thursday, May 28th. Time: 8:10 a.m.] [It's the morning after the experience of craziness with the reactor. Everyone's had a chance to get a good night's sleep (or *a* night's sleep at least) and it's back to business as usual. Who knows if they've talked about it or not? Heinrick has called Keiko into his office for a Morning Meeting (TM). This can't be good. And that's where we are now as Heinrick waits.] [Mini-session start!] * Keiko pushes the door open casually, making her way into the office. She's wearing blue on blue, from her dress to the long cape half-thrown over her shoulder. Her hair is braided through with a green and blue ribbon. * Keiko has a small smile on her face as the door closes behind her, but if it's directed at Heinrick then Keiko is also a tomato. * Heinrick is working on paperwork as he goes along. It looks very rivetting. So much so that he barely glances up as Keiko enters the room, but then gives her more of his full attention. He no longer looks like Gendo and this is a plus. "Ah, Keiko. Please. Close the door and have a seat." (What, did he shave?) (Alright, so he hasn't gone *that* far.) * Keiko has Heinrick's door click closed, then, as she has her seat and looks up and to the right of Heinrick. * Heinrick puts his hands together and glances Keiko-ward. "I'll get right to the point. How are you recovering from the ordeal yesterday?" * Keiko 's gaze moves to Heinrick's face a moment, then away again. After a few moments she replies, "Do you want the real answer, or is this small talk?" The real answer. Please. * Keiko sighs and runs her nail along the inside of her arm. After a few moments she murmurs, "Slowly." * Heinrick takes a deep breath and nods slightly, then adds quietly, "I cannot guarentee the time frame when they will have us going out again. I wish I could, but I would believe you would appreciate honesty above all else." He gives a faint smirk. "Which sounds as strange for you to hear as it does for me to say that, believe me." * Keiko meets Heinrick's eyes and replies, "Not really. You're bad at guessing what I want." She then closes her eyes. Doesn't hurt, though. Perhaps I am. She always said I would make a terrible father. * Keiko reopens her eyes and tilts her head slightly, as if questioning. * Heinrick shuffles some papers slightly. "There's nothing in your file about it, though I'm not surprised on that front. I am a little curious as to why they would not let me know." He lets out a breath. "But, it doesn't really matter in the long run. You're still Keiko. And I will still be a conniving old bastard who, for some reason, they thought would be good looking after little girls." * Keiko is watching Heinrick carefully and, after a moment, her finger runs along her collar. "Are you... getting at something?" * Heinrick shrugs vaguely. "I'm not entirely sure myself. But is there anything else you would need?" * Keiko replies, slowly, "What does any being need?" * Heinrick shakes his head, looking amused. "Weren't you the one who just said a moment ago that I'm terrible at guessing what you want? It would not help very much if you keep me guessing." He leans back a little. "But...some time away from these walls would possibly be a good start." (Obviously, Keiko needs him to clean her water dish and give her fresh kibble.) * Keiko murmurs, "It would." She then looks down to her wrist and runs her nail down her arm again, before exhaling noisily. Then she murmurs more, "I... find that kind of thinking... annoying. Too much like fear." * Heinrick tilts his head to the side. "Which thinking?" * Keiko murmurs, * Keiko then grips her wrist hard and looks back to Heinrick. "I always want it to go somewhere." * Heinrick looks at her more evenly. "Where then?" * Keiko squints. "Us, or thought?" The . * Keiko nods, looks off to the side a moment, then replies, "My... I use art, I guess." Ah. * Heinrick folds his hands together. "And is that "useful"?" * Keiko looks back to him, eyes sliding over his face back to her wrist. "Sometimes." I guess. I'm less off. I think. * Heinrick nods slightly. "And the helps me. It helps me understand the situation. And helps me consider on where to go next. Sometimes the value of the introspection is the introspection itself.." He shrugs faintly. "But I'm sure that's not satisfying...so tell me. Have you ever *seen* an art exhibit?" * Keiko scrunches up her nose, then looks back to Heinrick. "A few times... went with my mother." * Heinrick shrugs faintly. "Well. I can't say that I will necessarily understand it, but I can't see why it wouldn't be healthy to see one of the displays that's in town right now." * Keiko half-smiles, then says, "Too rigid for art to slip through?" * Heinrick smirks and sluffs it off with another amused expression and a half-shrug. "Ah, you did catch me. And here I thought I was being so careful." * Keiko mms, then replies slowly, "Art... reflects through haze. What was there before..." I suppose that is where we differ. I prefer cold hard facts. It's difficult to have something left up to interpretations when science is involved. * Keiko mms. After a few moments she offers, "Facts are... neither cold nor hard. Only the numb could see it so." * Heinrick shakes his head only slightly and adds, a little less amused than before, "Perhaps that's true..." He stands up slowly. "As is, I will meet you down by the garage in about an hour. I trust that's more than ample time to prepare?" * Keiko nods slightly. "Yeah. More than." * Heinrick nods his head once and gestures to the door for Keiko to proceed through first. * Keiko floats off her chair and through the door, door once again opening before her. * Heinrick heads out afterwards. Paperwork can wait! [And since we're probably not going to play out the art exhibit...session end!]
