* Roseli glances at the portal, but her gun is most certainly trained on

ceiling. He wings a vial at it, with an explosion lighting up a portion of the

<Brett> [Togo shoots him full of holes, Causing Malphas to grin. "Heh. I'd heard
about that.  Thanks for taking care of him for us.  He might have been a real
thorn in the master's side."]
<Brett> [Luana!]
<Togo> Only if Lucifer sharpened his pointy head and jammed him between his
ribs.

* Luana 's foot lights on fire as she kicks it up and at him.

<Brett> [Luana kicks him.  And between all the fire and acid and multiple
wounds, that seems to be about all he can take.  He falls to the ground, still
smiling. "Heh.  I had a good run while it lasted, though."]
<Brett> [He closes his eyes. "You win.  For now.  But the day is coming when the
master will return to Earth.  He'll save humanity, even if he has to damn tens
of thousands to do it.  And when that day comes, you'll be the ones who are
called the enemies of humanity."]
* Roseli snorts. "Already are." She fires into him again, just for extra good
measure. Fucking demons.
<Jamie> (Mankind ill needs a saviour such as you.)
<Roseli> (What is a man?  A miserable pile of secrets!)
* Luana sends the fire across the rest of his body.
<Brett> [And then he explodes in a burst of air. He leaves behind tufts of black
feathers and a bald, naked man with skin so blistered he makes Frankenstein's
monster (who's also named Frankenstein in this universe!) look like a prom
king.]
* Keiko keeps the crush on him anyway, looking down. And then she gives him an
odd smile. "I'll... be happy with you just being gone."
<Keiko> (ORDER.)
* Jamie checks the hell portal.
* Roseli turns quickly, training on the portal.
<Brett> [The portal closes up.]
<Togo> ... that was a pretty sad Apocalypse. I dunno if I should even count that
one on my record.
<Roseli> (What happened to Durandal?)
<Brett> [Durandal falls to the floor with a clang.]
* Luana holsters her gun and hurries back to Keiko. "Hey, are your arms okay?
You can still feel them, right?"
* Keiko lets out a slight weak laugh, and then shakes. "I... um. I think so...
ha..." she trails off and looks down at the man. "You're... not dead."
* Roseli walks over and picks up Durandal, as she seems to have a thing for
crazy magical swords. "Shut up, Togo." She looks at Jamie, seems to be about to
say something, then half-collapses.
<Brett> [He speaks! .... in a hideous moaning sound that feels like fingernails
on a blackboard.]
* Jamie starts to ask what she should do next, but stops when it becomes obvious
that she should try to catch her guardian.
* Keiko 's face starts to turn into an angry grimace even before he speaks.
* Heinrick sighs and shakes his head. "A valiant mess we unleashed, isn't it?"
He looks over the group and shakes his head. "We need medical treatment as soon
as possible."
* Roseli shakes her head as Jamie catches her. "Where?" Brief pause. "Jamie, can
you get... can you get me the sheath for this?"
* Jamie nods and after making sure that Rose won't fall compleatly over goes to
look for it.
* Keiko glances to Luana, thinks, ~Excuse me,~ and says, "If the demon is
defeated and the host lives... will the demon come back?"
* Keiko steps closer to the man and kneels.
* Luana looks like she wants to lean her head on Keiko, but refrains and watches
her deal with the burn victim.
<Brett> [The lights are back on, by the way.  And then the door bursts open and
Xuan, Clyde and Masaru enter the room.  Xuan immediately screams and rushes over
to her brother. "Mitsuji!! Is he..?"]
<Togo> Alive.
* Jamie checks up by the alter.
* Keiko looks back to the guardians and says, quickly, "S-someone tell me, he is
not dead yet!"
<Brett> [She lifts him up. "Thank the gods... Thank the gods it didn't have to
end another way."]
<Togo> A fact that we will discuss at a later time. In significant detail.
<Togo> (I dunno. Brett?)
* Heinrick walks over near Keiko, then pulls out his dagger. "Togo, Roseli.
You're our resident experts. Will he?"
* Roseli looks at Keiko and then Heinrick, blearily, then forces herself over to
the dying man and tries to check his vitals. "Sec..."
<Brett> [Mitsuji examines Cyra while Clyde looks at the burned man. "We found
Eiji and Catherine outside... who's this?"]
<Brett> ( Occult roles! )
<Luana> The man who summoned the demon in the first place.

* Keiko stops Rose, saying, "He's still alive. I--I might be able to fix him, I
need to know, it hurts just to... be here."

* Dicesuke throws the bones for Roseli (2d8-2) and gets a natural 10 for a
result of 8.
<Roseli> (By two.)
<Togo> (And I assume you meant Masaru, not Mitsuji examining Cyra?)
<Brett> ( Right )
* Luana hugs herself and watches everyone around her.
<Togo> Malphas isn't coming back. But if he had enough bad mojo to attact the
attention of a demon that powerful, he could attract another.
* Roseli nods in agreement with Togo, closing her eyes.
* Jamie keeps looking for the swords sheath.
* Heinrick switches hands and pulls out his syringe dagger instead, holding it
out for Keiko. "If you feel the need to, put him out. We can't have another
thing like that coming."
<Brett> [Jamie discovers Mitsuji has one.]
<Jamie> (...)
<Roseli> (That does make sense!)
<Brett> [Xuan looks up. "The demon? A specific one?"]
* Keiko bites her lip, then thinks at Luana, ~This will hurt, Lu.~ She takes the
syringe dagger from Heinrick with a shaky hand and nods, using it to put the man
out.
* Jamie walks over to where Mitsuji and Xuan are and takes the sheath away so
she can bring it to Rose!
<Brett> [Keiko kills someone off again.]
<Roseli> A malphas.  Pretending to be... to be... Eileen Rhodes.
<Brett> ( Or not! )
<Keiko> (Well, check. Was that lethal or tranq?)
<Heinrick> (Although the Syringe daggers are tranqs?)
<Roseli> Shapeshifter... convinced Mitsuji portal was a good idea.
<Togo> Not a hard sell.
* Roseli yawns. "Yeah... Hurt him enough so he returned to hell, closed the
portal, etcetera."
<Heinrick> (Yeah, both syringe daggers are tranqs, not lethal.)
<Brett> [Xuan frowns. "I see.  That makes sense. My brother never would have....
he wouldn't, otherwise."]
<Heinrick> (Otherwise, he would have given her the real dagger to slit his
throat)
* Jamie holds the sheath out to Rose. "I found it."
<Brett> ( Syringe blades are knives designed to administer serums. Could be
tranq, poison, whatever. )
* Togo tilts his head at Xuan. "... you're joking, right?"
* Roseli blinks at Jamie, then smiles. "Thanks." She takes the sheath and looks
at Xuan. "Just make sure he doesn't again. Same 's with that man over there."
* Luana holds out her hand to Keiko when she's done tranquilizing the guy.
<Roseli> 'f someone's willing to do somethin' once, might do it again.
<Brett> [Xuan frowns at Togo. "I have to believe that."]
<Heinrick> (I told you a long time ago that Heinrick set them up as tranqs. :P
He's got plenty of other lethal options)
* Roseli sheaths Durindal, then stands, shakily, and buckles it to her waist.
Now she has a different magical sword, cool!
<Roseli> (Durandal)
<Brett> ( Well it's been a long time since last session :X )
* Keiko grabs Luana's hand, and then squeezes it tight as she bites her lip
hard, making a low painful noise as her other hand rests on the guy.
<Brett> [Felias shows up and steals the sword from Rose! "Yoink!"]
<Brett> ( Ok, not really. )
<Keiko> (:|)
* Jamie looks around uncertainly for the next thing she should be doing, but
mostly she just lurks behind Rose.
<Roseli> (I was about to punch him.)
<Jamie> (So MUCH STABBING for that elf.)
* Roseli leans on Jamie. Jamie is awesome.
* Togo walks over to Xuan. "This is twice Mitsuji has pulled something like
this. Most people wouldn't have gotten a chance to try it twice. He's getting
another chance because I genuinely sympathize with what he's trying to do, if
not the dumbass ways he keeps trying to do it."
<Brett> [Masaru says, "The demons are gone.  The ones that aren't dead."]
* Jamie is helping Rose, this improves her mood greatly.
* Luana gives a relieved sigh once she's holding on to Keiko.
<Brett> [Xuan nods. "Hiyoko was a great person... You would have liked her.
Everyone did."]
* Heinrick stands again and breathes, adjusting his glasses. "Well, regardless
of method, someone was still swayed by it."
<Brett> [And Clyde speaks. "Yes.  Now that the immediate danger is over, I have
to ask, what are you going to do?"]
* Keiko then, once the unconscious man is healed a little and she's started
crying from the pain, floats herself around to face Luana and hug her with her
other dagger-holding hand. ~Sorry. I... he was begging to die and I just...~
<Keiko> ~Needed him to be quiet.~
* Togo glares down at Xuan. "But let's be clear about this. He's got no more
chances. Do you understand what I'm saying?"
* Roseli closes her eyes and lets out a long breath.
<Brett> [She nods. "I'll take better care of him."]
* Heinrick chuckles. "You speak as if it's over."
* Roseli then opens her eyes, looks at Clyde, and says, "Take care of Jamie for
as long as I can."
<Brett> ["Hardly. You're still members of Blitzkrieg."]
<Togo> Like hell we are.
<Roseli> Togo never was.
* Roseli eyes Togo.
<Togo> That too.
* Luana hugs Keiko back and looks at Togo over Keiko's shoulder. "The burned man
wants to die."
* Keiko leans her head forward on Lu's shoulder and says, out loud, "Division 3
is destroyed. Division 2 should join them. Pavla and... Sebastian pulled free,
if they still..."
<Togo> I can't speak for the long-term, but in the short-term... I'm gonna call
in some favors and get a medevac for us. We're going to get patched up. While my
team is getting patched up, I am going to find a store that sells large, freshly
baked cookies.
* Luana perks up slightly at the bit about cookies.
<Togo> I am going to buy one of those cookies, and give it to Jamie. I may buy
more than one. I'm spontaneous like that.
<Brett> [Clyde shakes his head. "You are, like it or not.  Blitzkrieg isn't
something you can just quit.  They won't let you walk away with your memories
intact, and I doubt Zukunft will let you take what it considers its property."]
* Jamie blinks in confusion as Togo already got her some cookies...
* Heinrick snorts. "Definitely not part of Blitzkrieg."
<Togo> Let them come. I've got more bullets than they do.
<Brett> ( Nobody cares about Section 1 :< )
* Roseli holds up her hand to stop Clyde. "Now isn't a good time to make a
break? Don't you think that's what we *want* to do?"
<Keiko> (Section 1 is just a normal military force.)
<Roseli> (Section 1 is fine.  They're traditional and normal.  Sure, hurt, but
they'll get more bodies.)
<Jamie> (With a few idiots mixed in.)
<Heinrick> The infrastructure cannot stand as it is anyway.
* Roseli stands more on her own feet and gives Jamie a half hug with one arm.
Aww.
<Heinrick> (And I care about Section 1!)
<Brett> [He looks at Rose, deadly serious. "Listen, you can run, but you'll be
running for the rest of your lives.  They'll never stop hunting you."]
* Roseli raises an eyebrow. She's heard this story before. "What are you
offering, and what's your price?"
* Keiko looks up and glares at Clyde. "That's... why they need to be destroyed."
* Luana pulls away from Keiko slightly to glare at Clyde. "I don't give a damn
what you think. I am staying with Togo, who will ALSO buy me a cookie, and with
Keiko. And if people chase us, I will burn them alive."
<Brett> [Xuan speaks, "Interpol could help.  We could put you into something
like a witness protection program. You'd have to lay low, but...."]
<Jamie> (<Rose> You do realize that at this point the rest of my life can be
counted on fingers and toes, right?)
<Roseli> (That's been the case for years?)
* Heinrick sighs. "That's what they intended to do anyway." He then glances
Roseli's way. "I don't believe laying low is exactly our style anyway."
<Brett> [Clyde nods to Xuan and looks at Rose. "Or you can join me.  I'm not
going to stop until Zukunft is gone.  I could use your help."]
* Keiko thinks at Luana, with a weak smile, ~I could use some laying low.~
<Keiko> ~You did want a small vacation.~
* Luana blinks and turns back to Keiko. ~Well, yeah. I just meant that I'm not
turning back from here. None of us are.~
<Togo> Or they could take advantage of the arraingements I've been making for
the past month or so in England.
* Roseli studies Xuan, then Clyde, and then looks at Jamie. She squeezes her
ward's arm protectively before turning back to the two adults. "I won't risk
Jamie anymore."
<Jamie> (D'aww)
* Jamie leans into Rose's side.
* Keiko nods a little, then adds quietly, "And Jamie needs... recovery. When the
drugs wear off. We'll... we're in no shape."
<Keiko> Time.
<Brett> [He shrugs. "So be it.  The offer will still be there in the future."]
* Roseli nods. "When Jamie can make her own decisions, will revisit."
<Brett> [He nods.]
* Togo turns to the group. "Same as I've said before. My people are offering
full protection. Best scientists I can find to help the wards, if they want it.
If you wanna stay in the business, great, glad to have you. If not, you've got a
safe place to stay."
* Roseli doesn't add that such a time will also hopefully be when she's free of
any crippling addictions.
* Heinrick sighs slightly. "I"ll need medical and chemical supplies either way."
He glances at Roseli. "I *do* have some obligations to keep." He then rubs his
arm. "But also I do still need my own containment."
<Heinrick> It would be useful to have free range to examine without scrutiny
though.
* Roseli smirks slightly at Heinrick, then says, "Will gladly take anything you
and Xuan have to offer, Togo. But if there are any strings attached that neither
of you tell me about, you're going to find yourselves dead in short order."
<Roseli> Nothing personal.  Just a new philosophy I'm trying out.
<Togo> If there's any strings, I'll lend you one of my guns to do it.
* Heinrick glances at Clyde, then Togo aand the rest. "Not that I enjoy favors,
but it might also be good to come up with a list of extractions in the
meantime."
<Brett> [Xuan shakes her head. "No strings.  Just... as a favor, in exchange for
saving my brother."]
* Keiko smiles a little, then kisses Luana's shoulder before leaning on it
again. ~Look at the guardians being useful. And Togo's not dead. That means
Herman owes me a favor.~
<Togo> First thing's first. Medevac. Gimme a minute to make some calls. *steps
aside to make some calls*
<Brett> [Clyde shrugs. "Same here.  I'm fighting Zukunft. I figured you'd want
revenge against them too.  Might as well work together."]
<Luana> ~I wouldn't have let Togo die. Or you either. I need both of you.~
* Roseli nods, drumming her fingers on the hilt of the sword. "Oh, that
wizard... Herman...?"
<Brett> ( We can finish up when you're ready )
<Brett> ( Rose inadvertantly activates the sword and blows up the Black Forest.
)
<Roseli> (SWEET.  BEST SWORD EVER.)
<Roseli> Where is he?
<Togo> That would be the first call I'm making.
<Brett> [Masaru: "He's looking after Karin and Eiji."]
* Keiko shivers and thinks back, ~It's not love, but it's... nice anyway.~
* Roseli nods, taking another look around. "Then we are done here."
* Luana 's grip on Keiko loosens for just a moment, then tightens again as she
sighs.
<Roseli> (I'm ready whenever other people are ready!)
<Togo> (Brett, can Herman port us somewhere with medical fascilities and a
bakery? =P)
<Jamie> (I'm going wherever Rose is going!)
<Brett> ( Prolly :P )
<Togo> (Yay.)
<Togo> (Then I'm done.)
