[Day: Wednesday, Feb. 1st. Time: 6:00 p.m. Location: Zenica, Tanigia.] (... I need to AFK for like, five. x_x) * Brett has quit IRC (Ping timeout) * Brett has joined #MC5 * ChanServ sets mode: +o Brett ( Always fun x.z ) (I'M IN TANIGIA) [Your at a fairly nice restaurant, one that serves more traditional Bosnian food than Montenigran. The table's large enough for 8 people, so you're all there! Woot. And since RPing the ordering of food is the most boring thing ever, we're just going to say the waitress has just brought whatever you ordered.] [Start!] [Alysha, for the record, is currently wearing a long red dress with a slit up one side, her hair done up in a pony tail. She's ordered yaprak. Mmm.... I guess. I dunno what it is, but it sounds good.] ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bosnian_cuisine ) (*brushes up!* * Shiho is wearing a black sleeveless turtleneck and gray slacks, her sword and gun at her sides as usual. She ordered something off the middle of the menu and ended up with leaves, meat, and rice, which she seems to be pretty happy with. (You're Japrak buddies!) * Sonia is still in the same thing she was wearing earlier, although her hood is down as she cuts into her actually-weiner-schnitzel. * Montana is dressed pretty much as he always is... well, when he's not in the suit of grayness anyway. He's recently shaved so his stubble is relatively close cut (but still there), and his hat's on his head. Yup. He has sarma and seems pretty happy with it meaty cabbagey goodness. * Gordo goes for the Burek once he has one of the multilingual peoples explain that it's pretty mch a sheppard's pie and he isn't one for dressing up, although he has changed his shirt to deal with the unfortunate powder smell. [Alysha takes a bite of her food and grins. "Nobody curious why we're still in Zenica?"] * Nigel is wearing a dress shirt and slacks. He has ordered a Gulas. Can't go wrong with meat and potatoes. He looks over at Alysha. "You apparently want us to be, miss. So sure. Why are we still in Zenica?" * Sonia shrugs slightly and says, "Ya made a power play, can't head off somewhere else just yet." [Alysha grins at Sonia. "When the new cowboy comes to town and picks a fight, the black hats don't usually roll with it." She takes another bite, then says, "They'll be planning revenge."] * Montana tips his hat. "Mine's brown for a reason. So what're you plannin' on doin' about that?" I... don't understand why you're so excited. [She leans back. "But not for a while. First they're going to want to punish Nazarenko, then they'll go about researching us before launching their attack."] [She smiles. "Which gives us time to execute phase two of the operation."] * Montana cuts a sarma in half and eats it. ( Become fantastically wealthy and don't die? No, that's phase 5.) Oh? [She eats another grape, then grins. "Remember how I mentioned they have a very important shipment of bots to Serbia soon?"] I thought Nigel took care of that, or was that a different set of bots? ["Nigel got us the codes. But that doesn't mean much. They're bound to have dozens of backups, and they can change the codes anyway."] [She smiles. "Unless, of course, they don't have the actual bots."] Wait. Then why'd ya have us get the codes in the first place? * Shiho coughs on a bite of food and drinks half a glass of water once her throat's clear. [She grins. "This is about forcing MMO out of this region. What would happen if Tanigia somehow got a hold of several fully-operational high-grade military bots that MMO intended to sell to Serbia?"] * Shiho says weakly, "Please tell me we're at least reselling the stolen goods." [She laughs. "Of course. This isn't a charity."] ["We get a profit from Tanigia and MMO loses face from Serbia. It's a perfect situation."] ["Well, except for the fact that we don't have the bots yet. But we'll take care of that soon."] * Montana shakes his head. "You think awfully big for a saleswoman, ma'am." [She bites into another grape, then drinks some orange juice. Lucky for you it's not alcohol.] Just to do a wee bit of fact checking, you haven't already sold the bots we don't have yet, have you? ["Not yet."] [She grins. "I wouldn't have come up with this plan if I didn't have faith in you to pull through, though."] Carry on then. [She shakes her head. "Actually, this time it's up to you. Most of you have more experience with this sort of thing than me. You'd know better how to break into the factory and steal the truck with the bots on it." She bites another grape. "I'm staying behind, this time. I'll just be in your way."] * Montana blinks, and then he takes a little while to eat more dinner before saying something. I suppose that puts Montana in charge, unless one o the rest of you's lead a more interesting life than you're letting on. * Nigel nods and eats some. "Ah don't say it like that. However, if our job is to keep you safe, it does make our job easier if people aren't shooting at you." [She grins at Nigel. "Glad you understand."] I'm going to make it clear from the start that all I'm good for is dodging bullets and making sure the person I'm protecting does too. And hitting things with my sword. I'm crap at sneaking around. * Nigel raises his eyebrow. "Well I do admit that breaking and entering is more Montana's specialty, I don't know the extent of his leadership skills." ["Well, I don't have to tell you that the factory's fairly well guarded. It could come to that."] Not particularly great, obviously. The more information you could get us about this factory, the better. (s/obviously/actually) * Gordo shrugs. "If it were up to me we'd put a missile in the side of the factory and be done with it." [She nods. "It's in the industrial section of town," she gestures towards the west wall. "We know the guards are fairly well armed, but they probably haven't seen much action. The bots, though...."] ["They're a bot manufacturing plant, so it's not surprising they've got bots patrolling. Those could be a problem. They're not generally as good as, say, Zukunft's, but..." She lets the thought trail, then adds. "Oh, and the new YAGA120s you're stealing... I wouldn't be surprised if there's a few of those on patrol, too. I'll show you the schematics later, but I wouldn't recommend fighting them."] ["Their armor is high grade. You won't make a dent with small arms." She leans forward, grinning, "Though if you can steal an MMO RPG, maybe..."] [She pauses, then says, "But I really should leave the planning up to you guys."] Well. We're gonna need a floorplan, and we'll need to know as much about their security and where those YAGA120s are stored as possible. Since that's what you want, right ma'am? Steal their entire shipment of bots? ["The truck's likely already loaded. All you'll have to do is steal it." She grins, "Though if you want to burn the place down, feel free."] * Montana winces. "I ain't so much into wonton destruction. No offense." [She shrugs. "Alright. The main point is to steal the shipment."] ["Once they find that MMO was going to sell to Serbia from a factory on their own soil, Tanigia will take care of the rest anyway."] ["Any other questions?"] * Montana shrugs. "All right. So, where'd you want 'em delivered to, and when do you want 'em by?" ["Tonight. We've got a safehouse set up on the south side of the city."] ( We can FF when you're ready ) Right, so get us that info... Nigel, can you hack into their systems, get us any information you can before we really start plannin'? (Whenever you're ready. Also you just could NOT resist saying MMO RPG could you?) * Nigel shrugs. "'course." ( Nope. Been thinking of that one all week ) (Okay, whenever. I assume you'll let Nigel hack in the interim, Brett. ^^) ( Yep ) ( Actually gimme a hacking roll Nigel ) (Okay) 2d6+11 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nigel (2d6+11) and gets 13, a CRITICAL FAILURE!!! "The gods giveth, and the gods taketh away. This time, they taketh away." (waaaah) (Well damn. Okay I'll DR that) ( :O ) 2d6+11 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nigel (2d6+11) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 19. (Now is a good time for a DR!) (Better) ( Traditionally I don't allow DRs on critfails though :P ) ( But I've been thinking of just abolishing critfails and crit successes ) ( Maybe I'll compromise and say ) (I don't think 3rd does critfails anyway. And you have to spend points to get crit successes.) [Time: 9:00 p.m.] [You're outside the factory! It's a large set of square buildings surrounded by a wire fence. There's guard towers here and there, and you can see security guards armed with semi-automatic weapons inside the perimeter, thanks to the fact that the entire place is well lit. You can also see some bots: Big, tri-pedal bots armed with twin flamethrowers and mini-rockets.] [Nigel managed to get into the security, after a mistake had him hack into a porn site instead.] [The only gate in the fence is on the east side. The loading docks are on the north. And all the machines and stuff are in the middle, with the offices on the east, closer to the gate.] ( Not sure what else to say, so.... ) (How's remote security, like cameras and such? Are their any holes in their coverage, like guard duty shifts and such? And where are these bots supposed to be located?) (The ones we're stealing, rather.) [There's security around the fence, and around all entrances, as well as in key points in the factory itself.] [The bots are already loaded onto a truck inside the factory, on the north end. Thye're ready to go out the next day.] (We can easily identify which truck with the information we have, yes? How high is the fence, what sort of fence is it, and are there any nasty tricks like electrocution and barbed wire with them?) [As for guard duty shifts, it's fairly secure, one guard doesn't go off duty til another is already on his rounds. Patrols aren't constant, but they're frequent enough to make getting around a bother.] [The fence is 15 feet tall and electrified.] [And yes, finding the right truck shouldn't be a problem.] (So let me get this straight: They load things on the north end, then drive them through the gate on the east end?) ( Yep ) (Any questions from other people? I might be forgetting something. ^^) ( I think they fell asleep :x ) (I'm awake. :|) (I'm mostly awake!) (There's just not much I can think of asking: the description is basically 'there's nothing you can do, but here's where everyone is.' ^^;) (I'm kinda blargh from driving yesterday.) (Nothing I can think of to ask) (Oh, where's the security center or somewhere we can use to shut off, say, an electric fence and cameras, or the like.) [Near the offices] (And if I were to get there, could I get Nigel remote access?) ( Mmm.. I guess so. ) (Another question (sorry!): are there sniper locations or can we have air support in the form of Gordon.) ( Air support, no. But since Zenica's built in a valley, there's all sorts of good sniping locations surrounding the factory. ) ( But you'd still have to go inside to get the truck. ) (Obviously!) (But, I and the super car can go around and snipe from someplace reasonable!) * Montana is in their stakeout location. What's it even like there? Probably pretty high up. He's pouring over the info Nigel has on his computer, and he's also in his gray stealthy not-a-ninja-honest suit, sans mask. (I am a super car!) [You're probably on the mountain side above the factory. There's evergreens there.] Right, so... looks like their security center's here. Near the gate. Which is pretty convenient, since it's the only way in minus parachuting down or somethin'. Fence's electric... * Sonia is eating gummy bears rapid fire, and asks, "Where's the closest roof?" (Um, where is it, Brett!) * Shiho is chilling with everyone and fiddling with the end of her braid. * Gordo nods. "Airdrop's good way to break yer legs if you arn't trained for it." ( About 10 feet away from the west fence ) * Montana points it out - ten feet away from the west fence, as the GM stated. "That what you're looking for, darlin'?" (Is it as high or higher than the fence?) ( About as high ) * Nigel taps away at his laptop. "It shouldn't be hard to shut down the fence, if that's what we want to do." (How far away is the roof of the factory from the fence?) * Sonia nods slightly and says, "I think I can make that." Can you do it now or are you going to need access from the security room? Not a hard jump at all. * Sonia licks her lips. (I don't know. Brett? Is there a way for me to hack into their security system from here and shut it down?) ( I'ma say yes just 'cause I don't want you guys to chill doing nothing while Montana goes in alone :P ) (Aww, I can make that jump!) (But at least that gets us past the fence.) * Nigel shrugs. "I should be able to hack in from here." Good show. (You need another hacking roll?) * Montana blinks. "Cameras and bots, too?" He tries not to look too hopeful. * Nigel shrugs. "We'll see how much I can access from here." ( Yep ) ( TN 14 ) 2d6+11 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nigel (2d6+11) and gets a natural 10 for a result of 21. ( Pfft ) (Okay. Is it just the fence? Or can I shut other stuff down?) (Like a BOSS!) [Nigel easily hacks into the system. Seems it's connected to the internet. (HA.) ( Fence and cameras. Not bots :P ) Well I'll be damned. These guys deserve to get shut down. * Nigel shrugs. "People are dumb. Anyway. I got the cameras and fence down. The bots are still operational." * Sonia smirks slightly. "Can't expect them to come in on the weekends, can ya?" Not surprisin' as we ain't got *those* activation codes. (Is the fence a standard chain link fence with barbed wire up top now that it's not electrocuted?) ( Yep, sans barbed wire ) You ladies got anythin' in your bags of tricks that'll cut through chain link quickly? Nope. Sorry. (Also, do *I* have anything? Modern day you'd use bolt cutters, but those are pretty big so Montana wouldn't have them. Is there anything more futurey that'll do it, Brett?) ( Lasertorch? :D ) ( That'd be bright though ) (Laser wouldn't need to be in the visable spectrum...) * Sonia replies, "Nothing quiet." ( Yah, I can't think of anything that wouldn't be easily detectable ) * Montana lets out a breath. "Well, I got a laser torch, but that's kinda... okay, we'll see what we can do. Here's the basic plan as I see it, since they let Nigel hack their system." ( o: A skort's a real thing ) (You didn't know that?) (...Seriously, Brett? I own one.) ( Nope ) (They're super practical if you get one that looks nice.) ( I thought it was a typo for skirt ) It's probably best if we got a distraction in another area of the factory. Maybe Gordo could do somethin' with that, as sniper support. While they pull security there, it's probably best for us to go through the north side. * Sonia shrugs. "I'm always good for a distraction." We need you to drive the truck, darlin'. Unless you have someone else in mind for that. [Just then there's a gunshot from inside the factory!] * Gordo nods. "Bounce a bullet of one er tin caa-" * Sonia pauses, then shakes her head slightly. "No, not if it's hard.." [This is followed by the front doors near the office section bursting open. Nikolai Nazarenko stumbles out, clutching his arm. It looks like he's wounded.] * Montana blinks at that. "Nice distraction." * Sonia looks out the window, squints, and then says, "Exactly what I was thinking." (Which direction are the front doors?) Off you go then. [He's followed by a woman holding a handgun. She's flanked by two men who could be twins if one wasn't short and fat, the other tall and lanky.] ( Facing the east, but visible from all ends ) ( Except the west, obv. ) (Dany Davito and the Gubinator?) ( Sure, we'll go with that :P ) [Nikolai's screaming something in Ukrainian.] [But the woman will have none of it, and shoots him in the head. She hands the gun to the shorter man, saying something, and they walk back in, leaving the dead man in the parking lot.] (And the guards/bots are...?) (The army we were supposed to avoid? ^^;) Well, boss'll be happy to hear about that. [A guard on patrol happens to walk buy. He looks nervously at the body, but doesn't dare slow his pace.] (...) [None of the other guards seem to have moved from their spots.] They don't seem to take failure well. Couldn't meet a nicer group. Let's move. Make with the mayhem once we're in position, Gordo. * Gordo nods and moves up close to the cliff edge to set up a good position. Sonia and I can jump the fence pretty easy. I'm thinkin' we can each take someone with us, Sonia? * Sonia glances to Shiho. "If they're light." [Incidentally, the woman was about 5.6, with short brown hair, caucasian, wearing a long-sleeved shit with a low neckline and cotton pants. The two guys are black haired, caucasian, wearing black suits.] * Montana grins. "Or you take Shiho with you and hold anyone curious off while I cut my way in with Nigel. Think that'll work, too." * Montana gets moving, in any case, slipping his mask on. ( I bothered to describe them, so they're probably important ) (I bet!) (Clearly they are mooks who will never appear again!) ( Well Nikolai was and I described him too :P ) ( Wait, are you splitting up again? :O ) (I think I'm fine doing the jump with Montana, carrying Shiho.) (I'm sure she's not above 100 kilos.) (We hate you, more or less, but Gordo's sniping so he's involved anyhow.) (Secretly she's full of metal bits! But no, we're good.) (Do we get 15 silver points for beating her up?) (I think we're just pairing off for the jump. That's all.) ( K ) (How far of a jump is this?) ( Fence is 15 ft. high ) (If we jump from the top of the building, it's only ten feet horizontal!) (Amusingly, both Sonia and I can make it due to having Jumping.) (The rooftop is 10 feet away, and we never got a number for landing on the factory rooftop.) (Could we just climb over the fence?) (Also possible, but climbing fences is noisy.) (Yeah, actually, I figured Sonia'll jump over with Shiho because she's good at landing and I'll probably just cut us through.) (Which is quieter and honestly no less conspicuous.) ( You don't have a top of the building to jump from :P ) (Right. There has to be a step where we drop them off on top of the building somehow.) (... I... what?) (You said there was a building about ten feet away.) (And I asked how high the roof was.) (And you said about as high as the fence.) ( On the other side of the fence :P ) ( You don't have a building on your side. ) (OH.) (Okay, then I'm cutting everyone through.) (Oh! That wasn't clear. Okay. yeah.) (Yeah, no jumping fun after all.) (Gordo, modifying the plan for sniper support for those guard towers watching us, please and kthx!) (Once you get your disctraction fun on.) (As you wish.) (Okay, so I'm going to the north side. Who's with me? :D) ( I'm considering calling it a night ) (That seems reasonable, given that we've got a boss inside now too.) (In two weeks ACTION!) (BAM BAM BAM) ( K, I'ma call it. ) ( Hm ) ( Except if I do we can't run next week :X ) (We can't run next week anyway!) ( Ehhh ) (Yeah, it's okay if you want to call it here.) [Alright, It's called!]
