<@Brett> [Date: ? Time: ? Location: Somewhere in hell.] <@Brett> [In case you forgot, you came to the Diamond mine in Zakanar searching for Julia Morningstar, only to get seperated from Alysha. Following that crazy MMO lady Natascha through a place called Pandemonium (which had no pandas, sadly), you wound up in (a) hell, where Natascha promptly betrayed you and shot Alysha before running off.] <@Brett> [Luckily you were saved by a genuine goddess who blathered on about finding the mandala and saving the world. Also apparently she knows Alysha. Maybe they go to the same starbucks. Anyway she gave you a magic sword before going somewhere. Then you discovered a probably naked Sara Morningstar who directed you towards where the rest of Julia's team was fighting, and you came across them just as <@Brett> they finished up fighting monsters. Cool?] <@Brett> [Start] <@Brett> ( And brb ) (I don't remember her being completely naked.) (She turned from a bird to a human behind a rock) (Yeah. she lost her clothes in human to bird to human transform.) (Is there a log up?) (It's on the wrong computer for me. I spent the last 30 minutes cutting it and then 'oh, ha, wrong one!') (Hahaha awesome. I, too, am on the wrong computer!) (Let me go find mine.) <@Brett> ( Ok back ) ( http://gryphon.sandwich.net/logs/somuchtalky.txt ) (She showed up naked behind a rock, and then Nigel tossed her his jacket) * Gordo glances back at Alysha. "We short any?" (Right, okay!) <@Brett> [Before you there's a busty blue-haired woman in a black sports bra and leathered pants, with think knee-high boots and tight leather gloves. She has a pair of auto-pistols at her hips. There's also a blond guy in a leather jacket, jeans, a sweatshirt, and some kind of black under-suit that hides his skin from view. He's wearing a mask with a narrow red triangle for a mouth and triangular slits <@Brett> for eyes, and weilding two odd-looking guns with short blades extending upwards from the tops. Finally there's a brown-haired, tan-skinned guy in a blue-vinyl jacket, who's wielding a single pistol.] <@Brett> ( That's much werds ) (And now there's a log up at 60.) (Aaaa it was scrolled up. I got stuff now!) <@Brett> ( I need to update that page ) (Yup!) * Sonia stands in a disinterested fashion, suit still wrapped around her as she glances over the group. * Montana still has his mask on, and Sonia's got his hat on her head. So he's really just a faceless dude in gray. <@Brett> ( I'd forgotten I don't need to be home to update it ) <@Brett> [Alysha shrugs at Gordo around Shiho, who's totally doing her "hang out near Alysha" thing and probably will be the rest of the session.] <@Brett> [And the guy in the mask turns towards you and says, in a very non-mysterious fashion, "Who the hell are you?"] * Gordo jerks a thumb back twords Alysha. "Sent us inta Zakanar to find Julia. Wasn't expecting ta wind up in Hell." * Montana mutters, "No shit." <@Brett> ( Oh come on, you knew it was heading this way all along Montana :P ) * Nigel shrugs. "I am always expecting to end up in hell." (He did not! His player did. XP) <@Brett> [The man in the mask says doubtfully, "You were, huh? With a kid?"] * Montana snerks behind his mask. "She's in charge, actually. Alysha Johnson." <@Brett> [Alysha starts to respond, only for Klara to cut her off with a laugh. "Come now, comrades. In my country we send our children to hell to toughen them up."] <@Brett> ["That right?" Says the third guy, "You're Sara's friend?"] <@Brett> ["That's right," says Sara, who appears from behind another large stone formation. She's wearing Montana's clothes again, and holds Nigel's jacket out towards him. "And Pavla felt she was the best one to help us, so show some respect, Aberracao."] <@Brett> ( Man, so many npcs X.x ) <@Brett> [Aberracao snorts behind his mask. "Whatever."] * Montana tips a nonexistant hat to Sara. "Glad you could join us." <@Brett> [Sara smiles at Montana, then at Alysha. "Let me guess, you told them I was useless, didn't you?"] <@Brett> [For once Alysha looks completely caught off guards. "Uh..."] We don't listen to her much for tactical advice anyway. <@Brett> [Sara grins. "Maybe I'm not much of a bodyguard. But I wasn't hired just because of my sister." She turns to the other guy. "Speaking of Julia, where is she, Fantasma?"] * Montana laughs in response to Sonia's statement. * Gordo shrugs. "Jus happy you're in one piece." <@Brett> [The guy in the vinyl jacket frowns. "Um, about that....." And says. "Demons nabbed her. She's totally in their dungeon right now."] * Gordo rubs his face. "Right." <@Brett> [Sara falters, a look of terror on her face. "What?" But Klara laughs. "Don't worry! We'll storm the place and take her back!"] <@Brett> [Alysha, still stunned, looks back and forth between them. "Um.... That might not be the best plan."] ... Yeeeah, so does anyone actually know how to get OUT of Hell? <@Brett> [Fantasma nods to Montana. "Actually, yeah. Julia can commune with the spirits."] <@Brett> [Meanwhile Klara casts her gaze at Alysha. "Maybe, but it'd be a fun one. Besides, got any better ideas?"] <@Brett> ["Not really," says Alysha. Then she grins at Sonia and Montana. "But fortunately I brought along a pair of tactical geniuses."] * Nigel scratches his head and hmmms... * Sonia licks her lips, then rolls her eyes and says, "Guess I walked into that one." Guess we ain't got time to waste, then. * Sonia looks to Fantasma. "Give us a direction." Right so... we know which demons took 'er? And where? <@Brett> [Fantasma points in a direction! Actually he points at a cliff about 4 miles away. A cliff with a castle shaped like a skull carved right into the face. (lol skull, face)] * Nigel nods "That is an important question." <@Brett> ["We were headed there, but.... you know."] * Sonia looks to Montana. "You're on scouting, boy. Let's get moving." * Montana sighs. "Don't we at least have TIME to plan a heist?" * Montana moves, though, getting ahead of the others and disappearing into the scenery. * Sonia chuckles and subvocalizes, ~ Faster you scout, faster we plan. ~ (Scouting ahead, as stated!) <@Brett> ["Sure, we've got til we get there," says Alysha.] (Anyone answering Gordo's question?) (If people can get demon descrips, maybe Nigel can figure out what we're dealing with.) (Capitalizing on our skeelz!) <@Brett> ( The giant skull thing was an answer ) (Which demons.) (Oh. Okay) (Nigel have any idea what giant skull things could be?) <@Brett> ( He does! .... It's a castle ) ( :| ) (The question was what kind of demons) * Nigel looks to the dudes what know what is going on. "Did you get a look at the demons? What kind of demons are they?" * Gordo looks around and then at Sara. "Don't worry, Monty's one of the best." <@Brett> [Sara smiles at Gordo. "Thanks."] <@Brett> [Klara responds to Nigel! "Big ones."] <@Brett> [Fantasma says, "Except for those little guys." And Klara responds. "Oh yes. They squish good."] * Nigel nods. "Big ones, is it? Brilliant. I know just what demons you're talking about and exactly how to beat them." <@Brett> [Aberracao snorts. "What a relief."] (HE SAID BRILLIANT. WHAT A BRITISH GUY.) * Nigel then nods to Fantasma. "Yes, of course? sometimes they're big, sometimes they're small. That's what these guys do." Colour? Horns? Wings? That sort of thing? As long as they don't also have sharp teeth. They DON'T also have sharp teeth do they? * Nigel waits for either Fantasma or Aberracao to answer his question about the sharpness of the demons' teeth. <@Brett> ["Enough!" Sara says. "My sister's in there! Now's not the time to make light of the situation."] * Nigel waves a hand to Sara. "It's fine, miss Sara? We'll get your sister back. Once I see what we are dealing with, I'm confident I'll know what to do..." <@Brett> [Fantasma looks guilty. "Sorry, Sara." Then to Nigel, "Yeah, there's a bunch of different kinds. Some can fly, but not many. There's a bunch of short yellow guys with small horns, but they don't put up much of a fight."] <@Brett> ["The big red ones are armed, though," he says. "And that one with the horse-head has magic or something."] * Nigel nods. "That is considerably more helpful." Thanks muchly. 2d6+6 Montana rolls 2D6+6: 5 5 +6 = 16 2d6+11 Nigel rolls 2D6+11: 3 1 +11 = 15 (Bollocks) (You didn't critfail! That's a thing!) (It is a thing) <@Brett> ["So," says Alysha as you walk, "Any ideas yet?"] <@Brett> [Klara starts to raise her hand, until Alysha adds, "That doesn't involve a brute force approach?"] * Sonia says, idly, "If not a lot of 'em can fly, Monty and I can go up the wall while you all have a fantastic time with all that brute force. 'ssumin' he gets a good scout." ( I don't like Alysha. She's no fun. I want Julia back. D:) * Nigel nods. "Sounds like we're dealing with Orobas. He is a pretty powerful magic user." Brute force even work on him? * Nigel shrugs, "I would gun for taking him down as quickly as we can. Or avoiding him all together, if possible." * Gordo nods. "Plan B until Plan A." Yeah, well, I'm sure you put a bullet in his head he'll stop movin'. You up for that, Gordo? I'll do me best. <@Brett> [After some time, you near the skull! It's definately a castle. You can see torchlight coming from the mouth and eyes. Around the skull is a rampart, with scouting towers at specific points. Each has an aformentioned flier on it.] We're to sneak past? * Nigel looks it over and nods, then looks back to our "tactical experts." * Montana isn't there! * Sonia frowns a touch, then says lowly, "Well, you ain't sneaking past. Waitin' on somethin' from Monty." * Gordo nods. * Nigel nods. "So what's the plan, then?" * Montana shows up. "Plan is we get y'all out of the open. Come on." And he starts leading them around to a hiding spot closer to the castle. Like this plan. 2d6+10 Montana rolls 2D6+10: 4 1 +10 = 15 * Sonia follows. Yeah not being in the open. (What kind of hiding spot do we get, Brett? ^^) <@Brett> [You all cramp together behind a shrub.] * Nigel follows Montana. <@Brett> ["This sucks," says Aberaccao, squashed between Klara and Sonia.] Better than fighting the castle full of Demons with just the ammo we carried. * Montana rolls his eyes, not that anyone can see it because 1. mask and 2. he thoroughly invised himself where there's more room. * Sonia comms, ~Feed me, boy.~ Right, so walls're really short for some reason, think 'bout ten feet, stone. Pretty easy to scale. There's regular patrols and those fliers you guys probably saw. I got a predictable but short gap timed between them. Getting alla you through the gap without being noticed would be a trick, given there's so many of us and I'm pretty sure not everyone's used to avoiding that sorta thing. Took a quick peek over the wall, too - they got siege weapons, unmanned, facin' away from the castle. Don't look like patrols go by them much. <@Brett> ["So what's the plan?" asks Alysha.] Hard t'say, given I don't know some people's skills. If everyone thinks they're *capable*, I can try to get us all over the wall. Other option is to have people who wanna go guns blazin' do that to make it even easier for everyone else get in. Some sort of distraction. * Sonia shrugs, says, "Couple of us go in quiet, sabotage the seige engines to do some damage, Gordo sets up in sniping position to knock down the aerial advantage..." * Montana nods. <@Brett> [Klara grins. "Sounds good to me, comrade! Let's make some fireworks!"] * Gordo nods. * Sonia looks around. "Any one'a ya got something else to add to the plan?" A distraction, ma'am. Don't need gettin' yourself killed over it none. <@Brett> [Fantasma shrugs. "If that's all you need, I got it covered."] Good enough. Can get everyone in at that point. <@Brett> ( Sorry folks, I'm falling asleep. ) <@Brett> ( I'ma gonna call it. Sorry for the shortness. ) * Montana pauses, then adds, "Pretty sure those siege weapons ain't gonna be a threat. They're goddamn unwieldy. Might be a waste of time to sabatoge 'em." (It's okay!) <@Brett> [And so they formed a plan. End!]
