[Day: Unknown. Time: Unknown] [One way or another, you make your way back to the main room of the temple, i.e. the room where Jack Frost first met you. Somehow you all arrive at the same time, and he's already there, waiting. "Hee ho!"] [Start] * Logan , Billie, Chess, and Yuki have all just spent the last couple hours eating delicious ninja food and talking about home. * Yoshiko was ALSO eating delicious ninja food. ( So... Rice and nothing but? ) * Billie is back now, however delicious the food was! She waves. "Ho." She's still all human-y, with pink hair and butterfly tattoos. (Yeah, see? One session in and you've already forgot about the main character. Everyone loves the rabbit!) (Nah, not real ninja.) (Haha) ( chu talkin' bout? Jack Frost is the main character. ) (Fake California ninja) ( Wasn't that a movie? ) * Chess raises one hand in greeting to Jack Frost. "Hey." (So... is that a 'no' to an ooc channel then? <.<) [Jack waves back. "Ho!"] * Yoshiko is still in her human form, with Yuki in her arms. "You know, you are kinda cute." She giggles and rubs Jack's head... Maybe she's been drinking a little bit? ( Heh. Oops. XD ) * Joshua spent the time talking to Raxia about her homeland, go him! But it also ment a lack of ninja food. "There was something I was going to ask you, but now I've forgotten what it was." ["No time for that now, ho! You've got work to do!"] Got a target already? (And it's RAXA.) Really? Where to? * Logan perks up. * Raxa stretches, as she has made her way to the room! Her homeland is pretty wacky, that might need to be retroactively minied. Anyway! * Yoshiko could probably talk for hours about her homeland too. Or not, it was pretty boring anyways. * Billie just looks curious. [Jack nodnods, spins around on one foot like a ballerina, then throws a palm into the air. A semi-transparent globe appears above him. "This hee is called Lendria, ho. Do you remember what I said about turning points? This one is comheeng up soon."] So, what needs to happen. Or not happen? And what's the world like, anyway? ["Ho... I don't know. But whatever it is will happen soon."] You're certainly full of vague. That's ... somewhat less than helpful. * Raxa is drumming her fingers on her arm. She also added piercings to her look once she realized she'd forgot them, studs through the nose and ears. "That's how the divine always are, dear." * Logan frowns. "So wait. You're telling us that we're supposed to go to this world, and then... figure out the big huge turning point situation, and THEN make it happen the way it's supposed to even though we don't know which way that is?" Lendria? I feel all useless, I don't know any of this stuff. That does make this whole thing kind of difficult... * Billie looks to Raxa. "Nice studs, by the way." * Yoshiko pets Yuki. "Hey, I'm sure it won't be that hard. Just take things easy until we get there." She smiles. * Raxa half-smiles at Billie. "I was so used to them I didn't even think about it. All the talk of nudity must have got me focused on 'clothes'." [He spins the globe. It seems to have three continents: Two large ones in the east, connected by a land bridge, and then a smaller in the west. Both are surrounded by tiny islands. Jack points at the big two. "The world here is full of mainly city states, except right here. There's a large country called the Kingdom of Alcarest, and next to it is the Empire."] Empire. That's imaginative. [They light up! The kingdom's in the East, a shiny red color that takes up almost all of the continent. The Empire is a blue color and takes up the entire west continent. "Well, it's the only one in the world, ho."] Hey, I heard about those before. They used to exist a looooooong time ago. Why hasn't it broken up yet? ["What I can tell you is that these two countries have been warring for years, and only recently formed an uneasy peace."] The empire? I imagine there are some stable empires in the world...universe... whatever it is that we're talking about. Oh, I know, we're supposed to go down and keep it peaceful! Maybe we're supposed to break it up? I mean, empires have all those rules and stuff. ["Also, this world was created by Zomegar's sister, Ziphi. But I don't know how direct she is in guiding it. Ho... you could try talking to the priests, see if she knows anything about what happened to the big Heeho's power. Or maybe they can help you find the turning point. Hee ho!"] Ah, now that sounds doable. Where are they, and where are you going to drop us? Does they like eachother? I didn't have any siblings, but I usually see them get along. ["The master and Ziphi get along well. Hee ho!"] * Logan quirks his eyebrows. "Religion seems so much more whimisical when you've been resurrected and are working as God's personal CIA." * Raxa mms, still drumming her fingers. "At least it's not hostile. A Godly spat is so... difficult." At least, right now it does. You have no idea how he'd want things to be affected, right? ["I would guess the best place for you hos to start would be in one of the capitals, hee, or here," he points at a dot that suddenly pops up, "a small town on the border between the two countries."] ["I've never spoken to her, so I don't know ho."] Can we reveal ourselves as Zomegar's chosen to Ziphi's priests? I'm going to cast my vote for the border village. Seems more like a turning point than either of the capitals. ["Yes, but not to anyone else. Most of the hees in this world don't know for sure if Ziphi exists."] ["You hos might want to create some disciples so that you can get more heenformation from places you're not in."] Whaza disciple? * Chess blinks. "Minions?" ["Ho?" ] Gods argue all the time, just get'em some booze, site'em down, and they'll get along just fine afterwards. * Raxa chuckles. "And how do we get them if we aren't able to talk about ourselves?" That was my question. ["I don't know. I was compelled to say that for some reason. Hee ho!"] If people were that easy to convince, there'd be no need for zombie armies. You and zombies again. Hey, everyone's got to have a hobby. Raising dead isn't a hobby. I study the art of raising the dead. That's totally a hobby. It's kinda like painting. * Joshua rubs his face. "Right." Sure! ["This just in, hee ho! You can make disciples by making them drink your blood. And all of the priests of Ziphi are her disciples, which is why she knows they exist."] [He pauses, then: ".... Well, some of you hos can, anyway."] * Raxa rolls her eyes. "It isn't as if she actually did it... truly?" She looks slightly surprised at the method. "That seems so simple." ... so it's like making vampires or something? Who can and can't then. Chess, that sounds right up your alley. * Yoshiko frowns. "That's so... squicky." ["I don't know, ho. But I wouldn't make a disciple of just anyone on this world. It's the big hee's sister's, and if you mess it up you'll make him mad."] Riiight. Blood. ["Maybe the priests can help you find people. Hee ho!"] Egh, no thank you. I haven't even gotten around to raising an undead rat yet, I don't need to deal with living minions. ["Are you hos ready to go?"] But Chess, you're *never* going to make an undead rat at this rate. * Raxa smiles widely at Chess. "Yes, you should start with the living and work your way up." So, that's it, then? We go to this world, meet up with some priests, figure out the Tipping Point, and throw our weight on the correct side? What if we're wrong about which side we're supposed to be righting...that came out strange. * Chess rolls her eyes. "It's not really a pressing need. Like I said, it's the study that's my hobby." ["It shouldn't be hard to figure out which hee to be on once you find out what the point is. You want the history to go in a positive direction, ho."] * Raxa looks back at Jack Frost. "It's not like we have anything to collect, yes? Sounds... like we gotta be." ( You must collect 6 grass roots and an Abyss Stone, too. ) I'm ready! Let's check this place out. Field trip! * Logan shrugs. "Sounds like we're ready." Which one of those spots is closer to one of Ziphi's big temples? * Chess pulls a protein bar out of her pocket and starts eating while people decide. ["The capitals have the largest congregation, ho, but there's only one religion in the entire world."] Sounds like the place to be. The religion of awesome? Ziphi, dear. Ziphi. * Logan blinks. "No, I think he means the religion of Zomegar's sister." ["Well they know about Ziphi's other hees, but it's her world, so the hos worship her most."] Yeah, but I'm guessing Ziphi's pretty awesome, if she's Zomegar's sister. * Chess sighs. "I keep wanting to make pimp jokes..." Go ahead, get it out of your system. You know you want to. * Raxa rolls her eyes, then asks, "Can we go somewhere else with our powers, or are we going to have to walk it?" ["I think so. Hee ho!"] They've gotta have transit of some sort. I guess it's not so much jokes as much as I'll be horribly disappointed if Ziphi doesn't have a purple coat and a bitchslapping cane. Maybe if we click our heels together and wish we're there. I mean, that's how we make stuff. Without the heel clicking, anyway. Hey, speak for yourself. * Logan taps the heels of his boots together, and they make a satisfying thunk. ["I think if you concentrate, hee, you send yourselves there, ho."] I was right! * Raxa smiles and nods. "That'll work fine, I think." I vote that Josh tries it first, since he's got such a good track record so far. What, really? * Logan smirks. Hey, about that, do I need to concentrate too? So, think about being on that dot of a city on that world. Seems simple enough if you ignore the whole would have been was completely insane yesterday part. ... And also remember to have pants on arrival. Pants? For the bipeds amongst us. I'm sure a skirt or dress is acceptable. Kilts are in again. Kilts are never in. Or they shouldn't be. ... You're from San Fran right? Oh yeah, about that. Hey Jack, you said we were supposed to fit in. What do these people dress like? What's their tech level? Do they have magic? Are there any horrible taboos that we should know about so that we don't piss people off right when we get there? ["Tech... level? Hooo....."] ["I don't know about all that...."] * Raxa squints at everyone, then shakes her head. "Maybe they'll have a taboo on clothing. Then all this talking'll be pointless." She grins a bit. Hey, I have no problem with that! ["Well, you can make stuff when you get there. Hee ho!"] You wouldn't. ["I don't either, ho!"] Well, then I'll fight right in won't I? Since it seems that Jack isn't going to be much more help, let's just get this over with. (fit, not fight) * Joshua thinks about being on that other planet with the dots and the city and ... how does teleportation work anyway? [Josh vanishes :P] There he goes! Hope he's not in pieces. * Billie certainly does hope, because she concentrates on getting there next. * Raxa laughs. "Always jumping into the spines head first. What a silly boy." How else would you jump into spines? * Logan pauses a second, as if listening for Josh's horrible tortured screaming as he teleports into the middle of a lion or something, and then shrugs. "Well, here goes nothing." He closes his eyes and concentrates on the world, and the dot, and pants. * Raxa glances over. "Not at all, of course." * Raxa then joins them on the thinkaportation express. * Chess thinks about clothes and being with everyone else who's left. [I'ma just fast forward to where you all vanish and reappear in a somewhat dark room, though with the sun shining in from the windows you can see it looks like an abandoned home. The floors and walls are wood, and there's glass in the windows.] [You also feel vertigo! Woot.] [Annd you hear noise from outside the building. And screaming.] * Billie ughs. Headache. And then the screaming does NOT help the headache, so she stumbles over to a window to see what's going on outside. * Logan slumps against the wall and puts a hand to his head. "Whooo, that's almost as bad as the 56-year-old absynthe that we found in the basement of that old tavern. Remind me not to do that very often." * Yoshiko rubs her head and slams against the wall. "Woah. That's a trip." * Chess leans over and takes deep, careful breaths. I'm never going to get to travel while not hung over.... And I am going to shoot whatever's causing that noise. * Joshua heads for the window while holding his head. * Yuki pops up and lands right on top of Yoshiko's head. "You're all woozy after that? Seriously?" "Ooh, good idea, I'll join you." * Raxa holds her arms out to her sides and rolls her head around, eyes squinted. "Dizzying." * Chess looks up and stumbles a little, then catches herself and straightens. [Outside is a small town. The buildings are all unpainted wood: one, two stories at most. The streets are dirt. There's street lights, but they don't seem to connect to anything. The only vehicles you can see, though, are wooden wagons. ] What's that noise? * Yoshiko takes a few steadying steps, then peeks out the window while bracing herself. * Raxa smooths out the front of her top. "Sounds bad." * Yuki peeks out as well, trying to figure out where the heck they are. [You also see people. There's the unarmed people on foot, who seem to be wearing tunics and breeches (for the men) or long dresses (for the women), of subdued greys, browns or reds. Then there's the guys on horseback, who have similar-but-raggy clothes, shaved heads and swords, knives, axes and clubs.] [Also, most of the towns folk have a variety of hair colors, including ones not commonly found on earth. But generally the men seem to have short hair, and the women long.] * Chess takes a glance out the window, then looks down at her own clothing and thinks it into a brown dress like the women outside are wearing. * Billie concentrates, and her outfit turns into a long, dark brown dress with red trimming. She looks to the others. "We've got some dudes terrorizing the populace." [Before much else happens, some other people arrive: men and women on horseback. They're all wearing black armor and wielding swords. Seeing them, the men in ragged clothes turn to flee. Or get killed. Either way, it all happens just as the sense of vertigo wears off.] * Logan sighs, looks down at his comfortable, stylish clothes, and wills them into a tunic and breeches. But he keeps the trenchcoat and hat. ( Oh, gimme awareness checks ) * Yoshiko concentrates, and her dress elongates and the pink fades a 'bit. "Think we should stop them?" * Joshua concentrates on ... well boring brown tunic, boring brown hair, and a couple of boring yet sharp swords like the ones the guys outside have. "Think they've invented the crossbow yet?" * Chess reaches down at her hips and a pair of black, metal tonfa come into being in her hands. to Josh: "I was thinking the same thing." * Raxa walks over, glances out, and picks the darker scarlet red as a dress, piercings disappearing, but the tattoos stay. She scratches her cheek idly with one pointy claw on her finger. "Mmm. It looks like the soldiers in black are the defenders." I think we should at least find out what's going on. * Logan holds up a hand. "Wait. We need to know what's going on before we barge in." How do you expect to do that, ask? "No, watch." * Raxa does have a slight smile on her face, then says, "Go strike up a conversation? I'd be glad to." * Logan keeps observing out the window. [Some of the armored warriors stayed behind, though most chased after the ragged men. The townspeople are assessing the damage, which luckily for them doesn't appear to be too bad. * Raxa heads over towards the door to head out! [One house was burning, but they put out the fire. And one woman is crying, with one of the armored men trying to comfort her.] * Chess hums for a moment, then turns around and follows Raxa out. [Outside, you discover there's two suns omg.] * Billie goes out, sees the crying, and immediately makes a beeline for the lady. "Hey, are you okay?" * Joshua puts the sword down, as he's not going to need them. * Chess lets the tonfa disappear before she exits the house. * Yoshiko walks out and takes a look around, looking at how people are generally acting. "Wait, we can't... just..." *sigh* Mostly to himself: "This is why I always work alone..." * Yuki twitches her nose and hops down. She sneaks through a hole and runs ahead of the group to just listen to what people are saying. * Raxa watches Billie go to the lady, so she saunters over to some of the soldiers and says, in a slightly saddened tone, "How awful. What brutes." [The woman sobs towards Billie. "They took my daughter! They took her!"] * Logan stays back in the house, watching and listening closely through the window. [The armored man next to her pats her on the back. "Don't worry, we'll get her back. This contingient of the Imperial Guard is led by Prince Maril himself."] * Billie hisses through her teeth. That's negative okay. She looks up at the armored dude. "Um... who *were* they?" ["But what if he can't?! What if they can't find them?"] * Yoshiko walks over to the woman and looks at her, kneeling down. She offers her a hug. Everyone needs a hug. ["It's the Prince, ma'am. You know he'll never give up." He looks up at Billie. "Not from around here, huh? They were Alcarest bandits."] * Joshua mutters. "I wonder if we can get horses by just thinking about it. Gonna wait till we're outside and alone for that." [A crazy old man wanders over. "Pfah! Ain't no bandits. Everyone knows the Kingdom sanctions these raids. 'S an excuse to cause us misery without starting a war, is what it is!"] [A middle aged guy joins the conversation. "I say we do something about it!"] [The armored man raises his hands. "Calm down, everyone. We've already positioned a garrison of the Empire's finest knights in this town to protect you."] ["That's not good enough," says the middle-aged man. "We can't live with you here only to react after the damage has been done. We need to make those Alcarest bastards stop!"] [There's some agreeing murmers, and another man mumbles, "Wish the Emperor would die already. Prince Maril would never let this continue if he were Emperor."] [The armored man stomps over and grabs him by the collar. "Mind your tongue! That is our liege you speak of!"] * Chess watches the discontented people, frowning. * Billie also watches, a little uncomfortable. [The man grimaces, but manages, "Some liege! More like a vegetable!"] * Joshua ponders not starting a war, not that anybody here can read minds. [The armored man tosses him to the ground. "Enough! Any more from you, sir, and I'll see you arrested for treason!"] * Yoshiko just kinda looks in disbelief. [That seems to shut the man up. He and the other townsmen wander off.] So... * Raxa licks her lips and glances to the soldiers, then sidles over towards one of the soldiers before _they_ head off looks up, with a slight smile, to ask, "Is it this bad everywhere?" [The armored man sighs, and turns back to the woman. "Go home and rest, ma'am. I assure you we'll do everything we can to get your daughter back."] [The ... * Yuki hops along and eventually finds her way back into Yuki's arms. (Yoshiko's arms) [The man nods to Raxa. "Over the past year, raids by Alcarest bandits have been increasing along the border towns. Alcarest refuses to take responsibility, stating that since the bandits are on our lands, they're our problem."] * May has joined #mcdc * Chess turns to one of the townpeople who doesn't look too emotional. "Excuse me, but where's the nearest temple? I find myself wanting to pray." * Raxa mms, looking the man over as she says, still with a faint smile, "Well, you look well able to handle anything, I'm sure." [The young man Chess talks to blinks in bewilderment. "Uh... We have a shrine to the goddess in town, but a temple? You'd have to go to the city for that."] * Yoshiko looks at Yuki for a few moments, then pets the rabbit. She glances at Joshua's position, then Yuki bounds off to where he's hiding. * Logan ...continues hiding in the shack-thing. He turns to Josh. "They're privateers, then. I really hope we don't have to pick a side, right now neither one is particularly appealing." That works. Could you direct me? Well, if we're trying to cause peace and happyness, the raiders have got to go. * Yuki jumps onto Logan and starts whispering into his ear, provided he doesn't move too much. Afterwards, she jumps down and runs back to Yoshiko, where she's picked up again. [He points down the street, where a dome shaped building with a diamond-split-into-four-diamonds insignia rests on top.] * Chess smiles. "You're very kind. Thank you." * Logan startles a little as the rabbit jumps onto his shoulder, but seems to have adjusted to strange things happening to him and sits still. [The crazy old man overhears Josh. "Raiders ain't the problem, boy! It's that kingdom!"] (I'm ... in the shack?) ( Oh. Neverind ) (He's crazy!) (He is!) (CRAZY OLD MAN IS CRAZY) * Billie notices what Chess is doing. "Hey, I'll go with you." [Meanwhile the man blushes at Raxa. "That's kind of you. Um, I must return to my duties." He hurriedly heads off.] * Yoshiko walks behind Raxa with a grin. "You just had to make him uncomfortable, didn't you?" * Chess grins at Billie and starts walking towards the shrine. * Raxa grins a bit at the blushy man fleeing and looks at the back of her hand, before looking over her shoulder at Yoshiko. "Pretty good for only two sentences, no?" * Logan turns to Josh as Yuki bounds off. "The rabbit confirms what I've been hearing through the window. The Emperor is wasting away, and the people are unhappy with him for not taking action against the bandits. But they seem to like this Prince." * Yoshiko looks up at Raxa. "I must say so, where I'm from we'd be shooting eachother by now." * Billie tags along with Chess, a bit more pep in her step now. So, let's help him find some not actually bandits. C'mon I've got something I want to try and it'll be better if we're not indoors. * Raxa blinks, then shakes her head. "You're a surprisingly violent one." She smooths her dress down and looks around for any other targets. * Yoshiko smiles. "It's more like a greeting where I'm from." * Logan shrugs. "Allright, I guess we're not doing much good in here anymore." Exactly. * Logan goes out onto the street along with Josh. "So, what's this thing you wanted to try? Should we go around back first?" * Raxa laughs and replies, "Well, I prefer a more friendly greeting, just so you know." She mms to herself as the guy heads off. "I hope he is stationed in this town." Well, we're going to need transportation, and I for one, don't intend to walk from here to however deep in the boarder we need to go. Yeah? I have a broom, but I don't know what you'll all take. Gonna try summoning a horse like the knights had. * Logan nods slowly. "So.. you're going to try to create a horse?" (Cut my last line!) That is the current cunning plan. * Raxa looks at the three of them, then glances off back to Chess/Billie. "Excuse me, I think a priestess-to-priestess conversation might be a good idea. We're off that way when you have your ponies." She saunters off after Billie and Chess. "Then we'd better try it back there, out of sight of the natives." *heads off behind the shack* * Yoshiko looks at Raxa run off, then back to Logan and Joshua. "Uh... you two have fun with your horses." * Yoshiko runs off after Raxa. * Yuki hops off of Yoshiko and sticks with Logan and Josua. "Don't mind her. You're gonna try some magic, I wanna see." Right, I'm going to do this quick. If everybody is running away but you, you've missed something import. * Joshua goes behind the shack, and looks around for locals, if he doesn't see any, he starts thinking about riding horses. [A saddle appears in mid-air in front of Josh, and falls to the ground with a *plop*] * Logan knows about horses only what he's seen in the old western tri-vids. "Well... that's a start." That's not a horse. * Joshua nudges the saddle with his foot. "No, no it's not." [The saddle doesn't neigh or move. It just sits there.] * Joshua picks it up and tries again, just thinking about a horse this time. [Nothing happens.] * Logan waits a few seconds. "Well, I guess that answers that question. Worlds with cars are going to be so much easier to get around." Yeah, good to know it doesn't work... Next question, can I get rid of this thing? * Joshua tries to dismiss the saddle. [Poof.] Well, THAT's a magic trick. Whelp, unless either of you has something to try, we should probably catch up with our other half. ( Yuki, gimme a soul roll! ) * Logan looks around. "Well, we'd better catch up with the others. No cell phones means we shouldn't split up." * Logan heads off down the road to the shrine. [A dead bird falls on Yuki's head.] * Joshua looks up, but not nessisarly in the right place. Euch, that's... that's not right. * Yuki hops down, peeking at the bird. "Wait a minute..." * Yuki jumps down to the bird and pokes at its leg, where something is tied to the leg. You find something? Yeah, take a look at that. * Yuki paws at it, trying to get the note off. [Yuki lacks the opposable thumbs to get it off! ] * Joshua kneels down to get at whatever the rabbit's having trouble with. (Curses being a rabbit!) [Josh finds a note attached to the bird's leg. Also.....] * Joshua takes the note off the bloody bird. "Somebody's probably going to come looking for this." [Josh gets note +1!] Something killed it. What's on the note? * Joshua looks. "Dunno yet." Why not? * Yuki looks at the note if it's open. Because I haven't read it yet. [It's not. Josh hasn't unrolled it yet.] * Joshua unrolls the note. [The note is unrolled.] * Joshua reads the note. [The note is read.] [It reads, "My dearest Prince, your last letter left me sick with worry. I know you are more than capable as a knight, but the thought of you putting yourself in danger... I will talk to my father again. I pray I can make him reconsider and do something about these bandits. I long to see you in person again. Would that things were different! "] ["I pray we will have peace among our nations within our lifetimes. Know that I will wait for you always. ~ J." ] [The others return.] * Joshua rolls the note back up and stuffs it in his pocket. "Yeah, we're going now. You wanna ride?" "Hmm?" Hey guys. The priest was no help whatsoever and told us to go to the Imperial City and bug the high priest there. * Yuki jumps up onto Joshua's shoulder. * Logan continues: "We're going to try teleporting again." * Yoshiko holds her hand out to Yuki, who bounces from Joshua's shoulder into Yuki's arms. * Joshua blinks. "I an fucking slipping not to see you guys." We're just sneaky. And Yuki was distracting you. * Raxa chuckles and pats Joshua on the back. "It's fine, as long as you don't stumble into anyone." Yeah, well I know some thing you lot don't. Anybody ever see a remake of Romeo and Julette? Who hasn't? Why? "Yeah, that's a classic." Remake? * Raxa sighs and exhales upwards. "No, I do not know what you are talking about." I read the original once. Because the rabbit just got hit by a dead carrier pidgeon... with a love note for the prince. It's about two lovers whose families hate each other. They both die in the end. Hey! that pidgeon was aming for me! * Billie looks at Raxa. "It's an old story where I'm from. Romeo and Juliet are in love, and they're children of feuding families." They run away together, marry in secret, families find out, kill themselves over it, and then their families are really upset and make up. * Logan grins thinly: "The parallels with our current situation are... profound." (Sorry, jumped into Yoshiko's armos. XD) (arms) Yeah, well, I hope this means they both don't gotta die so there'll be peace or whatever. I think that's our job. "Our first assignment is royal suicide watch! Grand." * Raxa scratches her cheek. "Weird story. But if they are lovers, then... we are making space for them to be lovers." A small chuckle to herself. We haven't gotten to the suicide part, just the sending eachother love notes part. Which reminds me, somebody is going to come looking for it. "Will they? I can't imagine international carrier pigeons are particularly reliable." The prince is looking for the kidnapped girl, right? Can't we just head off in that direction? How hard can it be to track a bunch of bandits and guards who went tearing off like that? * Raxa nods. "Yes, he is... around, they said." Something killed it, and if I was killing messenger birds, I'd like to find out what they had on 'em. You know? Yeah, that sounds like a good place to start to me. "Can I take a look at the bird?" * Yoshiko points at it. "Right down there." * Billie crouches to get a good look. [You find a dead bird.] * Logan bends down to take a look. "Well, I've got nothing. I mean, I can't dust for fingerprints or anything. All yours." He gestures to Billie. * Yoshiko takes a stick and knocks the bird over, pointing at the wound. "Round wound. Arrows make cleaner wounds than that." Or messier, depending on how you look at it. So what, there's somebody running around with a gun in a world that doesn't even have paved roads yet? ... Gun? "No, guns make much messier wounds than that. Plus, we would have heard it." Wonderful divice for throwing little bits of lead faster than sound. * Logan sighs. "Anyway, we should probably head off and see if we can catch up with the Prince." Maybe it's a blow gun or something... anyway, yeah. Let's move. * Yoshiko nods. "Let's get going." Right. Men on horses and bandits went thataway. * Logan wraps the bird in a hankerchief and sticks it in his trenchcoat pocket. "No sense in leaving this around to be found and over-reacted over." That's super gross, just so you know. Signed. * Logan sighs and shakes his head. "Says the girl who studies the undead 'for fun'." [You start walking east, but are abruptly confronted with the end of the session.]
