[So it's post-fight in the big multi-block rumble, and apparently Josh and Raxa are having a nice quiet conversation that everyone around them is ignoring because she's busy healing him. Convenient!] (Convenient!) [Let's see what they talk about. Maybe they like turnips. Maybe other people will interfere. Who knows! Mini start!] * Raxa still has Josh's arm in her hands. The blood, if any, doesn't seem to concern her, but the healing itself is not going the quickest. * Josh watches a bit. "I've gotta say, the movies have lied to me about how fast this takes, but it beats the hell out otta just waiting." * Raxa looks back to him and smiles slightly. "I'm being careful. I'm not as familiar with how your life flows as I could be." * Josh blinks in confusion as he works that out. "Huh? Oh, oh yeah. Sorry, forgot where you're from is different." * Raxa mms and says, "So there are... magicians in your world too?" * Josh gives a half shrug with his other arm. "Before this mess I'd never seen anybody do something that couldn't be a wacky genejob, but one of the guys I did an install job for spent half his time assuring me he wasn't at all a wizard and I shouldn't tell anybody he was. Fucker could not stay out of the way either. Dunno how many times I nearly whacked him with his own tracklights trying to get them in." * Raxa chuckles and says, "So not really, then, mmm?" Yeah, rumors and shit mostly. * Raxa taps his arm with a finger and says, with a grin, "Then next time, don't be so impatient. Good things are best done slowly." I'll drink to that, preferably something well aged and worth more than a year of my old salery... Heeeey, I wonder if I can just make a bottle of 300 year old French wine. Actually, no forget that. With my luck it'll taste like American beer. * Raxa tchs, before saying, "I haven't been able to make much of anything yet. Except lightning." Oh, what haveya tried? So far I've had the best luck with weapons. * Raxa shrugs. "Anything more than clothes and simple objects has eluded me. Some electrical tools could be very good here." At some point when I'm not feeling like shit and you're not waiting to get called out you need to explain what you need and I'll try and make 'em. * Raxa purses her lips a moment, then asks, "You sound like you might do kinds of handywork. Electrical too?" My old job, but if you turn into the sort of idiot that wants me to fit the goddamned Cistine Chaple into your room and not have your shiney new reflective ceiing not screw up the sound; I'm never doing anything for you again. Clear? * Raxa laughs faintly and says, "I don't know what a Cistine Chapel is, but I will try to make sure you are willing to do things for me." * Josh shakes his head. "This crazy Italian painter got paid not quite infinite ammounts of money to paint heven across the ceiling of a church. Took him years and years to do all of it. Was worth every penny though." * Raxa ahs and says, "Yes... art can be quite beautiful. Sometimes I do look at the old temple carvings and paintings, and think back on how much those artists much have understood the way life flows." There you go again with the flow of life. * Raxa looks to his eyes and replies, "It is very important." * Josh looks away. "Ah, yeah. I guess so. Not something I spend much time thinking about." * Raxa frowns, then says, "It doesn't surprise me. None of you think like I do." * Raxa shakes her head as she shifts her hands on Josh's arm. "It is to be expected, I suppose." Well, yeah. None of us think alike. We just all got picked at the same time. I dunno if there's a deeper flowy reason past that. But if you find one, lemmie know, k? * Raxa blinks, then chuckles and says, "The flow of life is what it is, Josh. It is not some sort of... mysterious plan. Those are for gods and kings." * Josh smirks. "Uh, yeah, which of those are we working for directly again?" * Raxa chuckles and looks back at him. "Well, we have spent a week here, and but a day in his sanctum with his... strange representative." It is not very direct. You're right, but that worked so much better in my head. So, we're about back where you were before, execpt with a new god who hasn't even given us a giant list of ... actually that's not the same either. Fuck Gimmie a moment and hopefully I think of something non-stupid to say. * Raxa laughs lightly, says, "If that's what you want from me," and gives Josh a moment of silence. Except for a soft bit of humming. * Josh watches for a bit. "Oh, hey, saying 'thank you' to the beauty patching up my arm, there's a good one. Thank you." * Raxa lets out a small laugh, smiling afterwards, one side of her mouth quirked up a bit more. "And you remembered to mention my beauty. That was a much better response." She draws fingertips down Josh's arm lightly, just a little bit, and her other hand follows a moment later, both stopping there to continue. * Josh shivers a bit. "That's definatly working, and you'll have to forgive me for being juust a teeny bit jaded, I hope anyway otherwise this is going to end very poorly for me." (That sentence is a little messy.) (He's letting his train of thought get away from him again. I could sprinkle in some punctuation around the sub clauses if needed) (The punctuation would probably help, yes. * Josh shivers a bit. "That's definatly working, and you'll have to forgive me for being juust a teeny bit jaded; I hope anyway, otherwise, this is going to end very poorly for me." * Raxa mms, then says, "Jaded? Is your world like the one we were just in, where beauty permeated, and yet was unappreciated?" * Josh snorts. "Less of everybody looking the same but yeah. There was a _lot_ of money coming in, some of us spent it all on cars, or drugs, and others spent it on gememodding. Toaki's girl had fur for a month untill they both got sick of trying to keep it clean." * Raxa laughs and replies, "Hair is hard enough to keep clean when you are busy. Blood clumps." Don't think they were into that, but yeah. * Josh shudders. "Ugh, I just thought about what her period musta been like." * Raxa squints at him a moment, then replies, "You have strange thoughts." S'what I get for trying to figure out _how_ she'd gotten blood in her fur to learn how bad it was. * Raxa chuckles and says, "Did she not kill anyone either?" * Josh shakes his head and then shrugs. "I don't have a clue what she did when she wasn't sitting on his lap or fucking him... or both at the same time. For that matter I don't even know what her name is." Well, perhaps you should just imagine her cutting someone instead. * Raxa hmms and nods slowly, pulling her hands back and rubbing them together. "As good as your arm will get for now, at least." * Josh lifts his arm and ratates it before rubbing his other hand across the formerly injured bit. "How about I just imagine you, being yourself, instead?" * Raxa looks back at him with a grin on her face, crossing her arms under her chest. "I agree, a much better thought." * Josh turns to face Raxa and meets her eyes after a moment of oggling. "Definatly one of the better ones I've had all day." * Raxa laughs softly, then brushes her hands off against her hips. * Josh nods. "Now, normally at this point I'd take you out to dinner someplace stupidly expensive and try to impress you, but somehow I think that's going to be frowned on here." * Raxa shrugs slightly and gestures outwards, waving her fingers in the air, with a slight smirk. "Just keep not dying. It will do the both of us well." * Josh smirks. "You don't get to go off and get killed either." * Raxa laughs and says, "I'm not worried. Dying did not make death any scarier." * Josh nods. "I thi... actually I dunno if it would be more or less scary if I could remember anything after the wall of fire. But fuck if I wanna do that again and find out." * Raxa smiles slightly. "Well, I will try not to force you to face a wall of fire anytime soon, then." * Ardsemidle is now known as Ardweden * Josh laughs. "Good, good!" At some point, though, it may be necessary. * Raxa brings a hand up to her chin, tilting her head up slightly as she takes on what might be a purposefully thoughtful look. Yes, well, if I somehow find myself forced to ironicaly kill you in the same way you died the first time, I only ask that you go after whatever made me do it first. * Raxa chuckles softly, the chuckle trailing off a moment, before she replies, "Of course." Well, that's that out of the way them. * Raxa smiles broadly. "If all your concerns are addressed." She glances up to the monitors, then lets out a slight sigh. "I am tired of waiting here." Oh, not all, but don't let me bore you. Let's go see what's taking so long out there. * Raxa frowns, and replies, "I meant in finding the person who knows where to find the Sinseals." * Josh facepalms. "Right." [And so they worded a whole lot! SCINTILLATING. Mini end!]
