[Nazi Earth: Day 12] [It's Thursday evening, and you're in a top secret lab under the prison. You managed to get through the first floor without being detected up until you got to a checkpoint, where things went all to hell. Currently, you're in an elevator, heading down. The prison's god 10 floors; chances are your quarry's on the bottom.] [Start] * Yoshiko taps her heel on the floor. "Come on, keep going down..." [The elevator gets all the way to floor 5 before it suddenly stops!] The hell? * Yuki hops onto Yoshiko's head. "Did they turn it off?" They're probably onto us. * Josh tries to take a pair of crowbars out of itemspace. "Let's get out of here before they ready." [Josh is now dual-wielding crowbars.] (Actually, is there just one elevator in this area?) * Yoshiko gets ready to blast someone on the other side. "You strong enough to pry that open?" (We haven't come across a map, have we?) (No, but if this is a dual shaft, it'd be smarter to climb out the top and then down the other shaft.) * Raxa rubs her wrists. "Maybe we should just climb down." (Rather than getting out on this floor) If you think you can tear the floor out go for it. (Even if it's not, this is a 10 floor elevator: there's no way it's hydraulic.) * Josh taps the door. "This was at least made to open." * Raxa looks up. Is there a hatch on top? [Nope.] * Yoshiko checks the floor and ceiling of the elevator for ways to open them. [There's no way out! (who'd put a hatch in the floor? >.>] (Wait, there has to be a way out, we had a way IN) ( The door vanished after you entered. Turns out this was just a VR mission all along! ) ( But no, aside from the elevator door, there's no other way out. ) [Either way, the longer you spend deciding, the more likely they're going to be prepared! ] Okay, open it. * Josh hands Raxa one of the crowbars. "I'll take one, you take the other, Yoshiko lasers whatever's on the other side." * Raxa takes the crowbar and nods. "Got it." She gets her crowbar wedged into the door crack, to pull it open! * Josh gets his in and levers! ( Body rolls, both of you. STR modifiers ) 2d6+5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Josh (2d6+5) and gets a natural 5 for a result of 10. 2d6+5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Raxa (2d6+5) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 13. [Raxa manages to wrench her door open! Josh... not so much. That's when you hear, "Here they come! Fire!"] ( Gimme init rolls! ) ( And we're gonna be using these the rest of the night ) (Does Yoshiko get to shoot first?) ( If she wins init. ) 2d6+8 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chess (2d6+8) and gets a natural 6 for a result of 14. 2d6+5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Josh (2d6+5) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 13. (Hold on, gotta get sheet up.) ( incidentally, you can't attack or be attacked until you exit the elevator, unless by AoE or unless you're Raxa or Yoshiko. ) 2d6+5 ( 'Cause Josh failed to open his door :P ) * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yoshiko (2d6+5) and gets 17, a CRITICAL FAILURE!!! "Maybe you should consider sacrificing some barnyard animals?" (I think she's going first) (HAHAHAHAHA!) 2d6+5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Raxa (2d6+5) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 12. (Also, Brett, is this a time when we can go M-Form and blast some people up?) 2d6+3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yuki (2d6+3) and gets a natural 3 for a result of 6. (Any time is a good time to blast some doods up) ( You can if you like. There's only 4 guards, though. ) [Order: Yoshiko, Chess, Josh, Guard1, Raxa, Guard2, Guard3, Guard4] (Ah. And actually, that's not too bad.) * Yoshiko fires some lasers at the Guard, then ducks behind the still-standing door. Odds are they're bullet proof. [incidentally, beyond the elevator doors is a corridor. It ends at a T-intersection, with 4 guards taking cover by the corners.] 2d6+7 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yoshiko (2d6+7) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 14. (The same four guards, or an additional four?) ( The same 4 ) [Yoshiko fires lasers, easily pelting one of the guards a few times. He remains standing.] * Chess stays behind cover. "I need some distance-y powers." (Hold action.) [Josh] * Raxa looks over at Josh and just smirks slightly, not saying anything. (Talking to Brett) * Yoshiko grins. "I could teach you a spell or two if you've got some talent." Sounds great! ( As a side note.... ) ( If you guys use item points to make weapons, we're going with the book versions as defaults ) ( If you wanna modify it to better suit your needs, feel free to do the math. But if you just say "I summon a rocket launcher", we use the book one :P ) (That's pretty much what I expected) * Josh spends his turn making a small pile of grenades. If nothing else they'll be usefull later. [Guard #1 tosses a small can into the elevator, and the tiny space rapidly fills with a stinging smoke.] ( Aight, that's a body roll (TN12) -1 for all of you. If you fail it it's a -3 to all actions for the number of rounds you failed by.] ) (No defence roll first?) [I guess there is. ] ( I really hate the layout of this book. It's hard to find everything. ) (It's easier if you actually have the book in front of you.) (It's true.) (Anyways, defense roll? What kind of defense?) ( Ranged ) 2d6+5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Josh (2d6+5) and gets a natural 6 for a result of 11. 2d6+8 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yoshiko (2d6+8) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 16. 2d6+6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yuki (2d6+6) and gets a natural 6 for a result of 12. 2d6+6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Raxa (2d6+6) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 13. 2d6+8 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chess (2d6+8) and gets a natural 6 for a result of 14. ( Josh, Yuki and Raxa need body rolls ) ( At -1 ) 2d6+4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Josh (2d6+4) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 12. 2d6+4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Raxa (2d6+4) and gets a natural 10 for a result of 14. 2d6+3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yuki (2d6+3) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 10. (err, that's +2. So 9.) [So the only one affected by the gas is the rabbit.] [Raxa!] (How far away is this T intersection?) (30 feet) ( 30 ft! ) (So, just at the edge of my 10 meter throwing range) (Perfect. I'll tag the one Yoshiko hit with Serpent Lash.) * Raxa sucks in a breath through her teeth as she digs her fingers into her already bleeding palm, and then lashes out with her hand, the blood becoming lightning as it cracks out towards the guard Yoshiko already hurt. 2d6+7 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Raxa (2d6+7) and gets a natural 10 for a result of 17. [He gets electrocuted and falls over.] [Guards 2 and 3 open fire! Both at Raxa.] (awk) 2d6+5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Raxa (2d6+5) and gets a natural 5 for a result of 10. 2d6+3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Raxa (2d6+3) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 10. ( That's some bad rollin' ) (Not really.) (That's slightly subaverage, except that I only have one defense. :P) (That's exactly average rolling) (Focused fire is lethal in BESM. Always has been. ;) [Either way, Raxa takes two bullets, one from each guard. They tear through her and cause quite a bit of blood loss.] [Oh, um. Yoshiko] (Does Yuki get a chance to do anything?) (Well, she'll hold her action since it's the end of the round anyways.) ( Did you roll init for her? I didn't see it ) (Yes I did. ) (She got a six, so I figured she was last.) (But she's just going to hold her action until she needs to act.) ( K ) * Yoshiko transforms into her M-form and steps out of the elevator. She points down to the end of the hall, launching two shots of arcane napalm down at the guards, which explode in a green, burning flame. 2 2d6+9 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yoshiko (2 2d6+9) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 18 16. (They're area attacks too, so if you need me to roll for each of them I will.) ( Nah, only for the autofire one. ) [Yoshiko pretty much melts the remaining guards. They die screaming in agony.] * Chess covers her ears until the screams end. * Raxa leans on the wall and holds her hand to herself, eyes squinted as her teeth grit. "Now what?" * Yoshiko transforms back to normal and turns around to the group with a small smile. "Are you okay?" (Healing myself for 20! Woo!) [Raxa stops bleeding!.... as much.] Couldn't ... you have held that for another five seconds and blasted out the elevator? You probably don't want me to do that. Fire isn't exactly good at blasting through metal. Guys, let's find a stairway. * Josh nods. "Down is good." * Yuki coughs. "Going on foot is probably better." * Chess heads out of the elevator and starts looking for the door to the stairs, being careful not to look at the dead bodies. (Or what's left of them, rather.) * Josh picks up and pockets the grenades he made. * Yoshiko heads along, taking a quick glance at the boomsticks the guards were using. [You find the stairs! Not far from the elevator, in fact.] [Oddly enough, they only go through floors 2-9] * Josh heads down to floor 2. "Guess we'll be breaking back into the elevator shaft after all." (Don't you mean floor 6?) (Pretty sure you meant 9.) ( Hearing rolls ) (THE ONE AT THE BOTTOM) * Raxa heads forward as well, grabbing one of the guns off the guards along with the gas grenades. Woo! 2d6+5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yoshiko (2d6+5) and gets a natural 11 for a result of 16. 2d6+10 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yuki (2d6+10) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 17. 2d6+5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Josh (2d6+5) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 12. 2d6+5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Raxa (2d6+5) and gets a natural 6 for a result of 11. 2d6+8 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chess (2d6+8) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 15. [Everyone but Josh and Raxa hears a door slam and people running up the stairs from below.] We got company. They're coming up to us. * Josh take out a pair of grenades. "About how far down?" ( Alllll the way ) From the bottom of the stairs. (Hey Brett, is the center of the stairwell open or do the stairs overlap?) Use those and hide? We could ambush them if any of them survive? (survive.) ( They overlap. ) I'm not good enough with these to hit them until they're right under us. [You can hear them now, rushing up the stairs.] * Raxa gestures and says, "Keep moving and be ready, then!" Then hurry and hide. * Yuki scampers off to hide. ( Hide where? :P ) * Josh pulls the pins, but keeps the handles engaged so they don't explode in his hands. He doesn't so much hide as wait patiently for them to get closer. (It's a hallway, right?) (The ceiling, nobody EVER looks up) (Stairwell.) ( The only real place you can hide is going back out the door you came in ) (Oh, we're IN the stairs? (There's nowhere to hide. We advance forward and throw a grenade at them when we think the timing's good.) ) (That's my plan) * Yuki scampers up the stairs a little behind the others, then. (Yes we are) (down the stairs) (Okay.) (We have the high ground!) * Yoshiko heads down behind the rest of the group and looks at Yuki, who then thinks better of things and follows the rest of the group. * Chess changes her clothes back to what she'd previously been wearing and grips her tonfa in both hands as she heads downstairs. [You go down the stairs! And eventually come face to face with 4 more guards.] * Josh drops a grenade on them when they're exactly a floor below. (... given our plan was to grenade them before we ran into them, I would hope we don't get quite face to faced!) ( No, you're exactly face to face. Make a headbutt roll and a melee defense (headbutt) roll ) (RAR) ( Except Josh, he can just make a thrown objects roll ) (ROCKETO PAAAAUUUNCHU!) 2d6+4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Josh (2d6+4) and gets a natural 9 for a result of 13. [The grenade explodes, taking all the guys out with it.] (Woo!) Nice. Gives me an idea for a new spell. Ah, high explosives, is there no problem you can't solve? Let's keep going. * Josh makes his way farther down. * Raxa continues heading down. "A hole in a boat?" * Chess keeps going, as told. If you blow up the ship, the hole is no longer a problem. But you do have a worse one. * Raxa smiles faintly. "I think that's more making the hole the entire problem." [You get to the bottom. Floor 9!] * Yoshiko giggles. "Maybe you should use the explosions to make a new boat." ... Not a skill I have. * Raxa shakes her head, then says, "Me either. Well, now we need to find our way to the last floor." [The door from the stairwell opens to a corridor that leads right or left. * Yoshiko looks at Chess. "You know the way?" (Direction Sense, please.) ( There's the elevator shaft to the right, or another stairwell to the left. Stairs are further. ) Um... elevator's down the right way, I think, and stairs should be the other way? You'd think they'd put them closer together. We should probably keep to the stairs. .... Left. * Yoshiko nods. Yeah. * Raxa taps her foot for a few seconds, then nods and falls in heading to the left! * Chess hurries left once the others agree with her. * Josh would suggest letting the rabbit go first, but it's too late for that! [You head left! Heading around two corners before you spot the stairs. As you turn the second corner, you also spot something else: a spider bomb. It scuttles toward you, beeping rapidly.] ( Yoshiko has time for an action ) ( Else it's defense rolls for the lot of ya ) (SHOOT IT!) (OH SHI-) (Blow it up!) (Oh, wait, you think I should kick it away like a soccer ball?) ( It'll get blown up one way or the other ) (Nah, I'll just blow it up.) ( It's a -2 to hit due to its size. ) (Is it on top of us Brett, or is it away from us skittering to us?) ( It's only about 8 ft. away ) (I don't think you've got enough Awesome Quotent to get away with kicking a landmine into a baddie and not lose your foot) 2d6+5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yoshiko (2d6+5) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 12. ( It'll be on top of you before anyone has a chance to react except Yoshiko ) (That hit it?) [Yoshiko shoots the bomb, and it explodes, thankfully far enough away that you don't lose your legs.] * Yoshiko smirks, and blows some imaginary smoke from her palms. "That thing looked dangerous. Do you think they can crawl on the ceiling too?) " Probably. * Josh puts the pin back in the grenade and pockets it so he can use both hands for the not a guard gun he made. * Raxa keeps moving forward. "Don't stop." * Yoshiko keeps moving. [You reach the stairs without dying.] [Seems these stairs only go between this floor and the next.] * Josh keeps an eye on the ceiling. "Watch the walls too. They're sneaky little bastards." (Makes sense!) (Next being the one going down?) (Direction sense would have failed us if they didn't!) (Truth!) * Raxa gestures with the gun she took off the guard. "Go." [Fortunately, you don't run into another spider mine as you reach the bottom floor. It opens into a short hallway that has only a path to the elevator, and another path to a set of steel double doors.] * Josh heads for the doors. (How are they locked? Does it look physical or electrical?) ( Electrical ) [There's a keypad] [And a palm scanner.] * Yoshiko knocks on the door. "Anyone know how to get into something like this?" * Raxa walks to the doors as well. "Ahm. Well... I'm not the best at it, but I can try." Without Logan? Cheat like hell. * Chess looks through her collection of keycards for one that looks important enough to get through. * Raxa tries to summon up some basic tools so she can try to bypass the lock! She's got electronics! You're making this far too complicated. * Josh walks up and taps on the doors, which promptly fall in. (DP is awesome!) (FUCKING CHEATER) (HAHAH!) ( lols ) * Raxa blinks at Josh, and the tools disappear as she drops them. * Chess 'huh's and repockets the keycards. Ah. Well, that was very good. * Josh barely resist the urge to saunter as he walks in and looks around. [Behind the doors is the boss room!] [That is to say.... ] * Yoshiko heads in! [Behind the doors is a large, octogonal metal room. There's about 3 ft. of flat metal floor before it angles downward, ending at a large pillar, with various monitors, screens, antennae and other electronic doodads attached to it. There's a bunch of crates and tables on the sides of the room, the latter covered with labratory equipment. Shelves line the back walls, also full of lab equipment or books. There's also a catwalk going around the whole room, 3 feet wide with two staircases up on either side. And...] [The upper half of the pillar is encased in a room with glass walls. Theres some computers and things in there, and the only way in is by two bridges on either side that lead to the catwalks.] [There's also two men in the room. The first is a 50-something man with long white hair and a beard, like he hasn't shaved in months. He's naked and strapped to the pillar. The other is a short, also-50-something man in a white lab coat. He's bald, hunched, and wearing goggles.] [It's the bald guy who's face appears on the monitors around the room. "So you are the intruders? I knew you'd be coming for him."] Ah, you're prepaired to surrender then? ["I am Dr. Geralt Rouen, warden of New York and one of the leading minds in our great nation. I surrender to no one, and you are fools if you think you'll be able to get away with this.]"] Let me guess; if I just shoot you now the entire place explodes? * Raxa grins a slight bit, and she levels the gun she stole at him anyway. (I'm gonna take aim actions for as many rounds as I can! Woo!) Would you like to explain your entire villianous plot to us right now? Please feel free. ( Sec ) Yeah, does it involve cupcakes or cookies? ["No, my dear. I just wanted to see the looks on your faces before you die." And with that, machine-gun turrets drop down from the underside of the glass room. Two floor panels near the pillar's base open, and two very large bi-pedal bots armed with gatling-guns come up on elevated plates through the floor. And soldiers appear both on and off the catwalk, popping up from behind crates. ] [There's 24 soldiers altogether: 5 on the right on ground level, 5 on the catwalk above. The same for the left. They've all got assault rifles. And in the back, there's two on the ground floor with rocket launchers, two on the top with sniper rifles.] [The man in the glass box laughs. "This is the most important room of the most important place in the entire country! Did you think it would be so easy to break into?!"] ( Annnd... init time! One sec. ) (This is gonna be a hell of a combat to start. @_@) ( What was I thinking? o.o ) (I don't know) (Question - are there guards in the room Rouen is in?) (Can we pop M-form before combat?) (Here's what you should do: Let them pop M form before combat.) (You know, while the dude maniacally laughs.) ( And yeah, I'll just let you pop M-form before we start if you want. Consider me generous :P ) (Well, given you can shift instantly and the dude spent enough time talking...) (It makes sense that they can.) (The only way they COULDN'T is if for some reason his talking kept them from doing it.) (Also, I'd advise running the guards on one init - or an init for each group of guards.) ( Well, yeah. When he's talking all you can do is press X to advance dialogue. ) (Sure. ;P) 2d6+8 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Josh (2d6+8) and gets a natural 5 for a result of 13. (Woot!) ( Reroll inits if you're shifting forms. ) * Raxa , as the guy summons the kill squad, drops her rifle and grins. "Getting in was easy. Now I get to kill people who deserve it." 2d6+10 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Raxa (2d6+10) and gets a natural 5 for a result of 15. (Changing forms!) (Changing forms!) (Me too!) (Totaly changed forms) (Changing forms) 2d6+14 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chess (2d6+14) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 22. 2d6+7 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yoshiko (2d6+7) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 15. 2d6+5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yuki (2d6+5) and gets 7, a CRITICAL SUCCESS!!! "I'm down with that. You know me." [Order: Chess, Yoshiko, Raxa, Bots, Josh, All the Guards, Yuki, Turrets] [Chess!] * Chess turns invisible, rushes at the nearest guard, and slashes out at him with her front paw. 2d6+8 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chess (2d6+8) and gets a natural 4 for a result of 12. (Sorry, forgot a point, that's a result of 13.) [And he screams as apparently nothing opens a gash along is arm.] [Yoshiko] (Gonna chuck some napalm at the guards.) * Yoshiko flies up, diving around the area at high speeds while pelting it with arcane napalm. 2 2d6+9 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yoshiko (2 2d6+9) and gets a natural 9 for a result of 15 18. ( Which group is she aiming at? ) (Uh... The ones that would be hard to get into melee with.) (Actually,w hatever nets me the highest net targets. :D) [Yoshiko covers the upper right catwalk with green fire, coating the guards. They scream as their flesh burns.] ( 19 left! ) [Raxa!] (I'm gonna jump into the middle of a crowd of guards (so they get tagged by Beauty's Distraction), and then Feather Throw at a bot.) ( Only one you can reach are the ground ones with assault rifles. ) (Sure.) (Does that take one attack action or two?) ( Just one. ) (Then I'll use the second to feather throw the other bot.) * Raxa ripples as her body is taken over by shimmering feathers and she rushes forward into a bunch of the guards, gesturing with both of her winged arms. A flurry of feathers shoot out from it towards the bots. She grins up at the doctor afterwards. "Don't worry, doctor, I'll be there for you soon." ( I should note that the bots look fairly well armored. ) (Oh. The snipers, then?) (I can tag them easy enough.) (The adjacent guards have that same TN 12 -1 body check to make for irritant.) ( The snipers are the same as the other guards, but with a different weapon. :P ) (Yeah, but they're single targets.) (So I'll just perforate the two of them with two attacks.) (s/bots/snipers above.) ( Man, you guys are gonna tear this combat apart. ) (Yeah, well, we're at an action deficit.) 2d6+9 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Raxa (2d6+9) and gets a natural 4 for a result of 13. 2d6+9 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Raxa (2d6+9) and gets a natural 9 for a result of 18. (So we'd better hit hard!) ((PS: Guards are distracted by the sexy bwahahaha. Ahem.) [Raxa completely perferates one of the guards. He slumps against a wall, bleeding out. The other has better reflexes, though, diving out of the way and suffering only one shot. One that tears his leg pretty bad, but at least he's still alive.] [The bots move into action, gatling guns spinning. They fire a volley at Yoshiko and at Josh. 2d6+7 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Josh (2d6+7) and gets a natural 3 for a result of 10. (I've got 30 armor o/~) (Holy armor.) (He's a mecha-man.) [Josh eats a good bunch of bullets. The good news is they do little more than leave tiny dents all over his front.] 2d6+11 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yoshiko (2d6+11) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 19. * Josh _is_ a heavy metal pirate ( 'S true. ) (Meanwhile, Yoshiko has a tiny hit box.) [Yoshiko is able to avoid the attack entirely! lucky for her, because they probably wouldn't have bounced off of her so well.] (I've got a 20 point force field. :D) [Josh!] (But yeah, not as well. :( ) ( Josh has 30 points of armor and the bullets still hurt him. ) ( High damage and autofire. Nasty stuff. ) * Josh laughs at the puny bullets. "We'll be having no more of That. Lassies, yer orders be KILL! Take no Prisoners!" [Everybody who hasn't run off gets an extra attack!] * Josh adds as an afterthought. "An nay to getting hit yerselves!" [2 extra defences] (And those are my actions.) (Who all is within range of that, Brett?_ ( You gonna need 'em ) (Can we just handwave it and say we're in range?) ( Good question. ) (I think everybody but you if you bounced off to mez people) (It's like 1 meter from me) (Wow. That's... freakin' tiny.) ( That's pretty much everyone ) ( I mean ) (Woo.) ( That's pretty much you ) (Hey, be glad I put 1 point in otherwise it'd be touch) ( It's a big room, and you all went off in different directions ) (You need to put more points in.) (I'm kinda surprised you didn't buy it up more. :( ) ( Yah, it's just Josh who gets it. ) (Damnit) (They have to be standing within three feet of you, dude!) (That is not much, even if they were holding still.) (Okay, can I move to get somebody else in range?) (Wander up to my friends!) ( Sure. You can get Chess or Raxa. Yoshiko's in the air ) (Chess is invisable. I'll give them to Raxa) ( Hokay. ) [19 guardses turns!] ( Good god. ) (Remember, one group might be suffering irritant penalties! XD) 10 d12+4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Brett (10 d12+4) and gets a natural 6 for a result of 13 5 8 8 5 5 9 7 5 10. ( Whoops ) 10 2d12+4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Brett (10 2d12+4) and gets a natural 9 for a result of 14 18 13 14 19 16 19 16 6 13. (...) (Er, 2d6? (Uh... d6+4) (2d6+4) ( Whoops again ) 10 2d5+4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Brett (10 2d5+4) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 10 8 9 10 7 10 11 6 11 11. ( It's been a while :P ) ( How much irritant is that Raxa? ) (-3, I think?) ( Or should I ask, how irritating is Raxa? XD ) (-3, yes.) ( Also I messed up again ) (... also, yes.) 10 2d6+4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Brett (10 2d6+4) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 10 9 8 14 9 9 8 9 15 11. ( There ) 5 2d6+1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Brett (5 2d6+1) and gets a natural 3 for a result of 5 11 11 4 4. (2 of them avoided it! The others are too distracted by my shiny/sexy.) ( Man... How to do this... ) (I can talk to you after the session on some ways to help manage this many NPCs.) ( They all pretty much got hit by irritant. Those were attack rolls ) ( I mean ) ( They all in that second group there ) (Ah.) (Okay, so if they don't beat our defense+2, flat out we don't have to roll.) ( Yep. ) ( Now I have to figure out targetting... ) 14 d3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Brett (14 d3) and gets a natural 2 for a result of 1 3 1 2 3 2 2 3 1 1 3 2 2 2. [The guards with assault rifles:] [One of the guards, the one who Chess clawed, fires desperately at where he thinks she is.] [The rest spread their fire out.] ( fff. ) ( I didn't think this through at all ) [Ok, Josh need 4 def rolls, Raxa needs 6, Yoshiko needs 4 ] (Do I need one or did he totally miss?) 2 2d6-7 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Josh (2 2d6-7) and gets a natural 7 for a result of -4 0. 2d6-5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Josh (2d6-5) and gets 7, a CRITICAL FAILURE!!! "Hey, a failure. Oh, by the way... I heard what you've been saying about me." (Don't you mean +?) (Minus?) ( Chess needs one ) (Gah, yes) (Also) (... Six? Jesus.) 2 2d6+7 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Josh (2 2d6+7) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 12 15. (In BESM3) 2d6+5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Josh (2d6+5) and gets a natural 6 for a result of 11. 2d6+3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Josh (2d6+3) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 10. (It's -1 first) 2d6+8 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Chess (2d6+8) and gets a natural 4 for a result of 12. (D'ah) (You can let them try and hit a stationary target (which is I think a 9 or 10 for ranged attacks?) (Six of them got a 12 or better. ;_;) ( Josh needs to beat a 10, 8, 15, 11 ) 2d6+11 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yoshiko (2d6+11) and gets a natural 9 for a result of 20. 2d6+10 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yoshiko (2d6+10) and gets a natural 10 for a result of 20. 2d6+8 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yoshiko (2d6+8) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 15. (... wait, what am I trying to beat?) (The last two hit) ( Er hang on. Think my math is wrong ) ( Josh: 10, 8, 15, 11 ) (Still got hit by the last two.) (It's 0, then -1, then -3, then -6 for every one after.) d3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Brett (d3) and gets a natural 2 for a result of 2. ( Sorry, Raxa needs 7 def rolls ) ( Oh nevermind ) ( I forgot Chess ) 2d6+5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yoshiko (2d6+5) and gets a natural 4 for a result of 9. (What are the rolls I'm aiming to dodge?) (Actually, yeah, what rolls am I aiming to dodge too?) ( This is a mess. :X ) (Next time: Randomize how many each of us get hit by, then just roll the attacks for those at the time.) ( Ok, Raxa needs: 14, 9, 8, 11, 4, 4 ) ( Chess needs 11 ) (I autododge all of those but the 14.) ( Yoshiko needs: 9, 9, 9, 5 ) 2d6+9 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Raxa (2d6+9) and gets a natural 5 for a result of 14. (I autododge it all.) (Aaaand I get hit by the 14. :|) (Not so awesome now are you?) ( God help me if I ever do this again. ) (I dodged) (DICE HATED) ( tried to help!) [A hugeass firefight breaks out! Y'all manage to avoid being shot for the most part. Josh takes a few bullets that do pretty much nothing to him. Raxa is less fortunate, and gains another bullet wound.] [The guards with rockets both take aim at Yoshiko, while the snipers go for Raxa.] ( Sniper ) ( Goes ) ( for ) ( ((Raxa)) ) (Sure!) ( I forgot the other one's dead :X ) (Just ignore the 12 foot guy standing next to her) ( 12 foot guy made of metal ) (Do the rockets explode behind me? :D) (Assuming he beats an 11...) 2d6+9 ( He'd probably get rocketted if he wasn't right next to their troops ) * Dicesuke throws the bones for Raxa (2d6+9) and gets a natural 6 for a result of 15. ( Not unless you avoid them :P ) (Oh. Uh... Oh!) 2d6+11 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yoshiko (2d6+11) and gets a natural 9 for a result of 20. 2d6+10 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yoshiko (2d6+10) and gets a natural 6 for a result of 16. [Raxa not does get shot more.] [And Yoshiko doesn't get blow'd up.] [Yuki] (Is there a group of guards that are unattended?) ( There's one on the upper catwalk, left side. ) (Gonna fire a Hex at him.) 2d6+8 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yuki (2d6+8) and gets 20, a CRITICAL FAILURE!!! "You always hurt the ones you love. I love you very much." (Woot!) (TN12-2 body/soul roll or he's gonna basically fumble everything he does.) (Body or soul.) ( Uh... ) (You want me to stick with damage for now?) ( I'm a bit confused. You asked for a group, but you're targetting just 1? ) (... I thought you said there's one. But if that's a GROUP up there, okay, yeah.) (I missed what you ment.) ( There's one group not currently attended ) (Fountain of Change up there.) 2d6+8 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yuki (2d6+8) and gets a natural 9 for a result of 17. (Now... it's a quake attack. Going against a balcony? Is that just going to shatter it?) ( Probably!] ) (Sweet) (MONEY! MONEY EVERYWHERE!) (It's basically going to explode the bottom of the balcony into coins.) (Not a lot of damage up front, but...) [The catwalk turns into money, dropping all the guys on it to the floor below. There's now ten guards with assault rifles on the left, more than half of them hurt. And a pile of money.] [Turrets!] ~...That's new.~ * Yuki flies into the sky, alongside Yoshiko. [The turrets both swivel towards Josh and pour bullets towards him.] (I am totally out of defences at this point) 2 2d6+1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Josh (2 2d6+1) and gets a natural 10 for a result of 10 11. (That doesn't mean you can't dodge!) [Bullets penetrate into Josh's metal body. Apparently these turrets are much more effective at it than even the bots' gatling guns.] (How heavily armored do those turrets look?) * Josh staggers. "Damn ye cannon to Davy Jones!" ( Fairly. But they also have no defense roll. ) ( Time is about 9:00 p.m., in case you're wondering ) ( That's also a mt. ) ( But nonetheless. ) [Chess's turn] ( Actually ) ( Mind if I just wrap it up here? ) ( It's pretty late ) (That's cool) (Sure. Sleep is important) (Okay.) [Session End! Mid combat!]
