[Doctor goes to his room and quickly locks the door] * Geoffrey notes the location, and walks by, glancing in the window if possible. * Eliana walks to her cabin, unhurried and unruffled by the good doctor's odd behavior. * Doctor glances out and closes the drapes. He's alone in the room, with a fair number of bags of luggage. * Geoffrey then walks down to the end of the hall, and turns to look out the side window at the door at the end of the car. (is there only one way to get to cabins from the dining car?) [Yes] * Eliana looks at Geoffrey oddly for a moment, then goes about unlocking the door to her own cabin. "Men." (oh. Well, that makes it all a little different, doesn't it?) (Yes?) * Angel walks down to Eliana. "Pardon me. Might I sit with you for a bit?" Hmm? Oh, certainly. * Geoffrey hears Angel's voice, and returns to the dining car, nodding as he passes Angel. * Eliana succeeds in unlocking the door and opens it. "Your... companion seems quite taken with the scenery." He's an interesting character. Quite a few of them at dinner, yes? Oh, I've often found that to be the case while traveling. As have I. * Eliana steps in, having a seat. She's the only person occupying the cabin, and while she has quite a bit of luggage, it's not crowding in the least. * Angel steps in, closes the door behind her, and seats herself across from Eliana. Are you accustomed to eating alone? You seem to not take well to company Or rather, you did not stay after dinner. * Eliana removes her hat again, pushing gloved fingers through some of her loose curls. She chuckles. "I take to company well enough. It's just that if I go on vacation by myself, I expect to... well, be alone." I would like to point out that you didn't stay, either. Surely I can't be more interesting than our other dining companions. Well, you seemed to leave rather quickly for polite taste. I thought perhaps something was wrong. * Eliana smiles easily. "If something were truly wrong, I likely wouldn't have invited you in for this chat. I appreciate your concern, though." [Memphis walks by in the hallway, he doesn't look in.] You're quite welcome. You know, one doesn't often find lone travelers of our gender. What brings you to this magnificent train? * Eliana waves vaguely. "Like I said before, vacation. A chance to get away from home." She chuckles. "They were nervous about letting me go off alone, being a woman and all, but I've managed to make my way quite nicely." [A turkish man and a venerable English man walk by the other way in the hallway] "They?" My family. You aren't married then? * Eliana looks a bit embarrassed at that. "Ah... no. I was betrothed to a young man many years ago, but that... didn't end well. I'd rather not talk about it." My apologies. So, vacation at the convention? Well, I hadn't even known about the convention, though... I suppose I could drop by. It does sound quite interesting. I'm happy to just ride the train. Such a remarkable journey. Quite troubling, that news of Memphis's scroll. * Eliana nods. "Yes, it is. I hope he finds it." I wonder if the thief is escaping England on this very train? Wouldn't that be a strange twist of fate? I'm sure there's stranger. But Miss Crosse, if for some odd reason you're accusing me, I'm afraid I have to say that this is the first I've heard of this scroll. I would do no such thing. Accusing is such a strong activity. I consider myself merely curious. You didn't by chance notice anyone acting strangely, did you? * Eliana shakes her head. "Not particularly, no." Though, that doctor was a bit pale and harried. Henrick was it? Yes, but it might just be motion sickness. It happens to the best of us. True. It has been good talking with you, but perhaps Geoffrey will be wondering as to my whereabouts. If you will excuse me... * Angel stands and opens the door. * Eliana nods. "Certainly. Have a good day." Have an excellent vacation. * Angel departs and closes the door behind her. [Falaah passes by on the way]
