[It's night time! That hasn't changed. Fanfan and Millie both ducked into the same alley while running/hiding from Will- okay, the night patrol. They're really scrambling from the patrol.] [Session Start.] * Fanfan continues going off. * Millie scrambles from the patrol and then gets to the edge of the alley, pressing her back against it and huffing as she peers down the way to see if they were followed. (Roll me percep. -3) [Neither of you see anyone coming just yet.] * Millie huffs a little and then tsshes under her breath, thumping the wall lightly, hissing out softly. "Damn it. I can't believe it.." * Fanfan continues looking around a little more before settling down slightly. So what do we do now? John is free. If he does not insist on going after Will, we should leave town soon. Sooner. Now. * Millie sighs and rubs her forehead. "I dunno. We gotta get Running Cloud at all cost. I can't believe everything went so...so stupid." * Millie slumps back against the wall. "I told 'em the sucker was stalling. I just.." She takes off her hat and runs her fingers through her hair. * Fanfan seems not to have heard Millie. "If we stay...well, that will be difficult. We are certain to be recognized." * Millie then looks over at Fanfan. "Y'know. This is the first chance we had ta talk." Fine. We'll head for my horse. I'll give ya a ride. * Fanfan blinks and suddenly rustles through her satchel, drawing out and putting on a dark blue cloak. She quickly strips the fancy ornaments from her hair and looks over at Millie while she redoes it in a simple knot. "How will we meet the others?" We'll get there. Very well. * Fanfan follows Millie to Pepper. * Millie pushes off the wall and leads Fanfan along her way. "Um. It's jus' you an' me...I was wonderin'...really.." What do ya think of all this? The guys in general too. Yer so quiet, I never know what yer thinkin' Of which/ Well, I don't know about you, but I feel lied to. ( You are perhaps forgetting the huge flaming row in which the planning for this scheme was first devised in the inn waaaay back in Redrock. ) Oh? (Perhaps. Although Millie wasn't there for most of the planning because she was headed for the train ^^;) ( But the huge flaming row part was when Millie and everyone else were shouting, Fanfan included. ^^ ) * Millie rubs her head. "Well, look. John's supposedly wanted for this crime right? An' how long ago was it? That kid was even younger back then. He ain't tellin' us somethin'." Mm. He may be older than he looks. * Millie rubs her forehead some more. "An' now...because of Johnny an' Lanky...gah. Now we can't even get a second chance. He knows why we're on to him." * Millie sighs and plunks her hat back on her head. "An' they say I gotta big mouth..." He said before that he had known anyway, or suspected something was wrong. * Fanfan looks down a little and sighs. "Well, it *has* been a long time since I have practiced those particular skills." It ain't quite the same... * Millie deflates. "But maybe yer right. Hell, yer probably the smartest one on this team for keepin' yer mouth shut anyhow." Apparently not that smart. * Millie smiles slightly. "What? Lettin' the kid go? What else could we do?" It ain't like everyone's used to taking hostages. Now maybe we should have drug him with us but that past is behind us. * Fanfan shrugs. He did not walk like a slaveowner. I wonder... * Millie spots Pepper and hops onto the front, taking the reins and looking at Fanfan. "That's why I said Johnny has some explainin' ta do." I wonder if we can find his home. Mmm...any ideas? We must have been close. And I doubt he will run there first, unless he is indeed more powerful than he seems. Lanky may be able to track..we could try askin' around. Use our "natural charms" as it were. * Millie grins at Fanfan. * Fanfan twitches a bit. I suspect by now enough word is out that a Shomuran woman, even one not matching my exact description, would be seen as a bit suspect. * Millie sighs and then gives Fanfan a serious look. "Do ya really think I actually would intend to even come close ta actin' on it?" * Millie sighs a little. "Maybe. An' I don't know how much they saw of me. I was pretty far off.." * Fanfan shrugs. "A plan is a plan. It is not as if you were suggesting prostituting ourselves." * Fanfan blinks. "Were you?" * Millie eyes Fanfan and then sighs, speaking disappointed and dryly. "Sword Lady's stubborn vision of me gettin' to you too?" I was simply asking for a clarification. * Millie leans forward onto Pepper's neck and slumps, stroking her neck softly. "I guess I really am a screw up. No matter where I go, no matter how hard I try, people always treat you like that." Like what? I don't know. I guess I bring it on myself. Ain't no one trust me to do the right thing. * Millie smiles slightly and sits up. "Story of my life though. Ya comin'?" * Fanfan shrugs again. "They do not know you." * Fanfan mounts. * Millie smiles more at Fanfan. "And you do?" No. That is my point. You cannot expect people to understand you if they do not know you. * Millie snaps the reins. "I'm not too hard ta figure out when ya get down to it. I just don't like all the people bullshittin' like they do. Everyone does it." * Millie grins. "Even me. But at least I try to use it when it counts." [Pepper goes! Go, Pepper, go!] You said it yourself--no matter where you go. You are a wanderer. People do not try to "figure out" wanderers. I don't know if you care about this or not, but I like ya, Fanny. * Fanfan blinks. "Thank you, I think." An' maybe yer right. That's why I'm tryin' ta make a name for myself. * Millie grins and looks over her shoulder for a sec as she rides. "An' one of these days, I really WILL be in the history books." She puts her eyes back on the road and gallops towards the trainstation. [Millie approaches, and approaches fast!]
