[Millie rides down the roads of Garson. Mikoto and John ride after! It's a typical morning, and it doesn't look like anyone's afraid of you.] * Millie doesn't want anyone to be afraid of her. She just looks about, getting a feel for the city in daylight. * Mikoto canters to catch up, then slows down. "Why are you in such a rush?" Because Jinx wants an answer in 10 minutes an' damn me if I ain't gonna try ta figure this out. Nothin's as impossible as it seems. * Millie trots ahead, still looking. "See, it's easy ta give up an' say things are impossible. An' those type-a people get lost in the history books." * Millie doesn't look back "An' if you say "Dead people don't either" or somethin' along those lines..." * Mikoto sighs. "Footnote or full page, a corpse is a corpse. There's a difference between courage and foolhardiness." He said it. * Millie still doesn't look back at Mikoto. "So ya think I'm foolhardy?" * Mikoto nods. "I think running off by yourself into an unknown situation is foolhardy, yes." [Y'all approach the park where the insanity happened last night. Seems like a normal park now.] I'd think ya'd know me well enough ta know I don't get people killed that easy. * Millie gets a good look at the park, making a mental footnote of the area. * Mikoto raises an eyebrow. "That's not what I meant." [It looks like a park! A nice, green one at that. There's a well- worn trail that goes through.] I'm jus' scopin' the situation out. He can't try anything in daylight. An' I gave my word that I'd deliver John safely back ta Running Cloud and deliver HER back to the village safely. No matter what else ya think of me, I don't go back on my word. Even at the cost of your own life/ * John nods... * Millie looks over at the trail and turns to John, pointing. "Where does that lead?" * John looks over to it. GM's, where DOES it lead? (Just to another section of town. Upscale.) I ain't gonna take stupid risks, Mikky. But ya can't get any further in this life if ya don't take ANY. What's the point in livin' yer life if no one else knows ya lived it? Leads to a higher-class area. That's it huh? Does it weave towards your bro's place in any way? * Millie stops Pepper and takes her book out of her pack. She takes out a pen and starts scribbling a quick scale map of the area as she's been seeing it. * Mikoto looks around, eyeing the path. "The point is to have lived it at all." Think so. * John goes down the trail. Why? Yer gonna die eventually. It's just a matter of if ya get remembered when ya do or not an whether it's sooner or later an' how comfortable ya lived it. * Millie follows behind John, putting her book and pen in a saddlebag [You follow the trail to the street towards the outskirts of town, once again. It all seems pretty normal and quiet, but perception roll, -1!] [John and Mikoto notice, out of the corner of their eyes, a couple people standing outside of a large, ranch-like home. The woman has dirty brown- blonde hair in a ponytail, with faded jeans, a black cowboy hat, and a leather vest over a cotton shirt. You can bet she has a pair of six-shooters. She's currently poking her finger directly into the chest of a man much larger than her...] [In fact, he bears striking resemblance to the one most of you met last night.] * Mikoto frowns, narrowing his eyes a little. "Now isn't that interesting..." [She says a few words to him, and he frowns... at least, he's probably frowning, and talks calmly back.] * Millie turns around in her saddle to look at Mikoto. "What's that?" [Jan scowls. Is she Jan? You can bet she is. But she backs off, nods, and turns to unteather her chestnut brown horse before mounting.] * John points. * Mikoto doesn't move. "Looks like Calamity Jan's in town." Yeah. Jinx's gonna love this. * Millie looks towards the pointing, and then at Mikoto, eyes wide, "WHA--" She shushes herself before too long. "What?" Talking with someone in front of that house. Rather pointedly, in fact. * Millie looks back towards the scene and then for somewhere viable to look on it from a distance. [They don't even seem to notice you. Jan says something; you can't hear what, but the man folds his arms. She tips her hat to Will's bodyguard before galloping off, away from the rising sun.] [He watches, then turns and walks quickly around the house, out of view.] * Millie curses under her breath. "Dammit. Who do we follow?" * Mikoto glances between the two. "Jan. I think we found our ace." * Millie nods. "Someone's gotta tell the others too. Mikky, think you can summon Mira to lead us back to ya if ya follow her?" Don't know how far she can go... * Mikoto shakes his head. "It wouldn't work. She can't stay in this realm overlong." He takes the reins, but keeps on watching Jan. "I'll go back and tell them." (Perception roll, Millie 'n' John. -2.) [Millie notices the man coming out from behind the house... he's riding a large, charcoal horse in the opposite direction of Jan. Toward the rising sun.] * Millie watches that for a bit. "The other guy's goin' the other way." * John looks the other way. "I'll go after him. I'll go after Jan then. Mikky, go get the others. * Mikoto can't help but chuckle. "Alright. Good luck." * Millie smirks. "Finally things might be goin' right." She rides off. * John reigns Hazel in that direction and takes off! * Mikoto goes to find Jinxy the Cactus Slayer. [Three way split GMs' gonna have headaches in two weeks!] [Session End.]
