[Incoming Game! And by that, I mean cut and paste.] [He blinks. "Rocks? Ya mean like gems or somethin' like that?"] * Millie shakes her head. "As far as I know, jus' a seemingly ordinary rock...some guy named..." She looks up and snaps her fingers. "On the tip of my tongue...Gumbo or Gimbo or somethin' like that.." [Session Start.] [The man shrugs easily. "Don't know nobody by either name. And I've got rocks here, but nothing ordinary. No money in it."] Yeah...well... ( If rocks were money, everyone would be rich. ) * Millie leans over the counter a little conspiratorily, gesturing for old Lyle. [He eyes Millie a moment, but he leans forward a bit.] * Jinx walks over to John and whispers. "Think I'm just going to go find a few games and keep trying to spread rumors. I don't seem to be doing much good here." * John nods. "I'll stay here then." * Jinx starts to head out. "Maybe I'll get lunch and check in on Tairan first. Hard to shark on an empty stomach." * John smirks. *littleting* "Sure Jinx." * Jinx leaves. * Millie leans forward and half-whispers. "I heard that he's just small-fry really. But he's workin' for someone big...an' what's more.." She pauses for a second before continuing, looking around. "There's also some famed Shomuran bandit who came here lookin' for it too. In this very town.." She stabs the desk at the last sentence. [The man looks at Millie for a moment. He takes another drag on his cigarette. "Ya don't say."] Yeah...was wonderin' if ya heard anythin' 'bout it.."I'd-a figured at least the Shomuran'd stand out...but any big names 'round town lately?" [He shrugs. "Been some Shomurans comin' through, yeah, but that's been a lot more common since I last saw ya. Bounty hunters're nothin' new."] * Millie glances at Lyle. "Bounty hunters? Huntin' what exactly?" [He grins. "You know. Bounties." He waves his cigarette. "Heard a couple crazies went lookin' for Calamity Jan, but that's hardly news."] Oh? What'd these crazies look like? * John snerks silently. [He shrugs. "Slot-Eye and an Injun, they said. Didn't get nothin' else. Ya lookin' for 'em?"] * Millie groans a little and rubs her forehead. "Maybe...they in town?" The way she says it half implies "please say they're not." without actually saying it [He shrugs again. "Could be. Just know that they were lookin' around."] But nothin' concrete eh? Ya used ta be a better help than that, y'know? Well...mostly...don't think I don't remember. [He rolls his eyes. "Yeah, Millie. You come in here demandin' answers to *very* vague questions for nothin', and I'll give ya whatever that's worth."] * Millie smiles and winks at him. "Ya never hinted." She then eyes him more carefully. "But I wanna make sure ya actually DO know somethin' 'fore I fork over the money. It's jus' good business sense, raight?" [The man leans back with a grin, looking Millie over. He takes another drag of his cigarette. "Sure. Good business sense."] * Millie eyes Lyle quietly. "I was younger then." She hmms. "If yer gonna cop that attitude, ya don't get nothin'" [He waves his cigarette. "Ah, don't get yerself in a bunch." He looks to John. "Hey, she yer woman? You got a handful."] * Millie growls. "There ain't no way, NO HOW, I'm his woman!" She hmmphs. ["Yeah, okay. Was just a guess. So, what do ya want to know?"] * John eyes the man, and goes back to looking at things. * Millie leans over the counter. "Anything ya know about these two crazies. I got an..idea 'bout the names...ya know where ta find 'em?" Since ya seem ta think my other questions are too vague...that specific 'nuff for ya? [He shrugs. "Wherever bandits are, I guess." He points at Millie with his cigarette. "And that's what'd cost ya."] * Millie looks at him. "How much?" [He grins. "Whatcha got?"] * Millie keeps looking at him. "Less than that." [The man shrugs. "Then I guess this ain't so important, then."] * Millie glances at him. "50?" [He holds his hand out.] * Millie looks at him. "We got a deal then?" She starts to reach for the money. [He smiles. "Sure, we got a deal."] * Millie slips him 50. She don't look like she trusts that smile. * John fishes through some of the trinkets. [He takes it, looks the coin over, and bites the thing. This is followed by him flipping it and catching it in his hand. "Heard somethin' 'bout some bandits hittin' up Jennings."] (Impressive...I thought Teck's money was paper though @_@) Jennings...Jennings...I ain't been 'round here for quite a while...you'll hafta refresh me... (Nope.) [He eyes Millie. "Ya daft, girl? The man this whole celebration's been over!"] * Millie grins. "Buncha people drinkin' an' gamblin' an' hootin' an' hollerin' an' ya expect me ta stop ta ask what it's for?" * Millie then gets a more solid look. "What'd he do anyhow? I've been wonderin' 'bout that.." [He takes a drag on his cigarette. "War twenty years ago. Big name. Took out some Eastern clans."] * Millie waves it off. "Yeah yeah...but why celebrate him *now*?" [He eyes Millie. "'Cause we do it every year."] * John chuckles. "You say that like they're looking for a reason to party other than to party." * Millie smirks at John. "You stay out of this." She turns back to Lyle. "'s that right? I musta missed it last time I came. So what'd he do on this day? Outta curiousity." She smirks. "I'm sure it's common enough knowledge so you won't charm me but humor a poor girl, willya?" [Lyle grins. "He came back to our scenic city." He sucks on his cigarette.] * Millie smirks. "He's right. Ya really don't need no reason ta party." * Millie loses her smirk for a moment. "Hittin' him up for what exactly?" ["Yeah, but we do it anyway." And then he hmms.] ["Hundred."] * Millie looks at Lyle. "60." [He taps his cigarette. "Eighty."] 75. [Lyle holds out his hand.] * Millie picks out 75 dollars and hands it to him. She's frowning a little. [Lyle counts the money with one hand. He doesn't bother biting the coins this time. "Some sorta rock."] * Millie eyes Lyle carefully and evenly. "Uh-huh. Sorta like, oh I don't know, the one I was mentioning that ya said was too vague ta get answers for?" [He grins. "Don't know nothin' 'bout the rock, Millie. Just that Jennings' got it and someone wants it."] (Huh, Jinx's thought was wrong. On the upside, this explains and simplifies things greatly.) (That's why you need Millie ^_^) * Millie smiles slightly. "Now that wasn't so hard, was it? Now...what's the best way ta Jenning's place then?" [Lyle stows the cash. "East side 'a town."] * Millie nods. "Maybe we'll check it out..see if we can catch some bandits on the side." She tips her hat. "Pleasure doin' business with you." * John looks over at Millie. "Done?" [Lyle lets out a stream of smoke, leaning back. "Good seein' ya again, Millie. Don't get yerself killed."] * Millie smirks. "Ain't happened yet." She heads out. * John follows Millie's lead. [So, End Here.]
