Jan 26 00:16:54 ** Taki Wars, Episode 6. Taka woke up, after a phantom death- and very shortly afterwards was chaffuered out of the hopsital, due to the presence of the other Taka. There was a chase, a crash, a fight- and then Taka got picked up by Bob. The police car they're mutually in is just now pulling up to her house... Jan 14th, 2005- just before midnight. Start! * Taka is applying the pressure she can to her thankfully survivable gun wounds. When the car stops, she lets up, wincing as she does, and opens the door. * Gerald rushes out the front door. * Nina is only a half-second behind him, a half-full tumbler of something still in her hand as she keep the door from slamming into her face by catching it with a knee. * Taka lumbers towards Gerald, re-clasping her wounds. "Gerald, she's coming, for sure. Guy slowed her down..." * Gerald hugs her lightly, mindful of her wounds. "We heard from him already. She got away from him." * Taka nods slightly. "I... I figured that she would. We... first aid kit." * Nina quick-gulps down the last of her drink, the breathes out and wipes her mouth with the back of her hand. "Ahhhhh. So, how're you holding up?" * Gerald nods, and supports Taka as needed/wanted. "Come on. Let's get you inside." ... fine, fine, I'll get the bandages. * Nina casts a dirty look at Gerald, and runs back inside. * Taka smiles very weakly. "Entertaining her the only way possible, mmm?" * Gerald gets a speculative look. "It's really a bit creepy." She drinks... and drinks... and drinks... and. She doesn't show any effect at all. I'm tempted to get a blood sample from her to see what her blood-alchohol level actually is, but haven't had the chance. * Taka half-chuckles weakly. "I would not worry too much about it." * Gerald squeezes Taka's shoulders. After a moment, they're inside, with Nina messily tearing apart the first-aid kit, and plucking out bandages and gauze just as they make it in. * Gerald gently guides Taka to the couch. "And what about Eric...?" He sounds just a bit worried. * Taka glances at Nina. "Gods save me from novice interdimensional policeman." She is guided and lays down carefully. "Eric was also hurt but... I'm sure your coworkers are taking care of him." * Nina tosses the medical supplies at Gerald, and he catches them. * Gerald frowns. "That... will be messy. But I'm thinking too far ahead. First, bandages." * Taka nods slightly and says, with a weak smile, "I don't particularly have any attachment to these clothes, just so you know." * Gerald takes off Taka's shirt, assesses the damage, and starts bandaging her up. You'll live... *he glances up a moment* Nina, keep watch. * Gerald turns his attention back to Taka, resuming his work. * Nina rolls her eyes, and goes to the front door to do just that. "Dammit, I'm supposed to the one giving orders here..." * Taka chuckles slightly. "Thank you for the casual yet no doubt accurate analysis, husband. But that is only a temporary thing." * Gerald says, a bit sharply, "I'm worried that you're going to try and fight like that." And I will allow you to do no such thing. * Taka frowns, and adds with a slight bit of sharpness, "And what will you do instead, tie me to a chair?" I'm going to do my job. Remember how we met, hun? * Gerald brushes Taka's forehead affectionately. "I'm not going to be caught off-guard again." * Taka smiles a little and says, still with that tinge of sharpness, "That does not mean I will sit here, Gerald." You will if we can handle it. * Gerald finishes the bandaging, and stands up. "You lay right there. I'll grab you a shirt." * Taka mms very slightly then says, "You may try first, then. For a little while." The tone hardens. "I will not let you do something foolish on your own." * Taka makes no move to get up at the moment, though. I think our odds are pretty good. She's a good shot, and pretty mobile. Between the two of us, we should be able to hold her off. * Gerald walks off as he says that. * Nina waves at something outside. "Well, there's good ole Bob taking off." * Nina thumbs up at Taka. "Don't worry! We're gonna nail your ugly sister but good!" * Taka exhales tiredly and says, "Of course you will. Just hope she does not tackle you." * Gerald returns, a shirt in tow. He sets it on Taka's stomach, and sits down next to her again. Sachiko's fast asleep in her room. * Taka lays there and nods slightly. "It's... I haven't seen her for weeks, yet I do not remember it. Is heavy trauma not strange like that?" She's missed you... I haven't had the heart to tell her what happened, so I've just been putting it off. * Gerald points a finger at her. "So you better be the first thing she sees when she wakes up." * Taka nods slightly and smiles warmly. "That is now officially my plan." * Nina glances back in. "If things get too bad, the springs on top of the TV." Guy fixed it all up, all you gotta do is twist it and hold on. * Taka frowns and sits up, slowly, so that she can put on her shirt. "I am not leaving." ... didn't think so. You might want to know... It -can- take passengers. Like Sachi. * Gerald closes his eyes, then opens them again. "It's not going to come to that, hun." * Taka puts on her shirt and says firmly, with conviction, "No, it is not. Because if she comes here, she will not be leaving." Yeah, let's keep our hopes up. ... because here she comes. There's a distant thrum of... a helicopter in the distance. * Taka frowns slightly. * Nina pats herself down, talking into something, "Hey, Guy? Get your ass over here. There's a copter incoming. Three guesses as to who's piloting it." * Nina nods at something, and pulls out her gun. "Yeah, yeah. Hurry up!" * Gerald takes Taka's hand, and squeezes it, before standing up and taking a look himself. Lights. *he starts flipping off the lights, and then they both head outside.* * Taka squeezes back, and then when the lights go out, and Gerald is out of view, she stands, slowly. It's dark, now, and only the chop-chop of the helicopter seems to be getting closer. * Taka walks her way upstairs, in the darkness, by handrails and such, to Sachi's bedroom. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-6) and gets -1. The door creaks open, and it's dark in there, too. Such as it's dark, she doesn't notice the huge mess the room has become before she almost trips on a toy. Sachi's sleeping soundly, although Motherly Instincts can tell that somethings bugging her, even in her sleep. * Taka smiles a little at her daughter and, avoiding the toy mine field, brushes her forehead very briefly. Sachi shifts a little at the touch. Chop-chop-chop-chop-chop-chop.... * Taka sighs slightly and whispers, "I will be back, Sachi." Sachi seems a little less bugged, as she shifts position again, and tightens her grip on her blanket. * Taka navigates her way out of the room and down the stairs, carefully as always. Chop-chop-chop-chop-chop-chop.... The helicopter chop is really loud, now. But also still- it sounds like it's parked in the front yard. And then there's a 'bzzzt' sound, and not a moment after that, gunfire breaks out. * Taka moves over to the front door and looks out as carefully as she can. The too-recently familiar sound of an SMG is mixed in with pistol shots and energy blasts. As Taka peeks out, she sees her would-be assassin holding an SMG outstreched, firing and charging at Nina. They're both doing a good job of avoiding each other's fire- Taka falters for a moment, in time with another pistol shot. Gerald's not in view. * Taka mms quietly, continuing to watch the firefight. Taka finishes her charge, and in a blur of motion, kicks Nina's weapon out of her hand, drops the SMG, leaps upwards with her knee in Nina's gut. Hard. They both lift into the air, and Nina gets slammed into and through one of the houses window, Taka still riding her through, and rolling into a ball and unrolling smoothly on her feet inside the house. * Nina isn't moving. Nope. * Taka winces slightly at the slam, then charges the woman, saying, "Murderer!" about a step before she would strike... * TakaM looks vaguely in Taka's direction- it's hard to make out anything much more than an outline with the lack of light. One more fool to deal with yet, fake. * TakaM dives back through the window, outside again. * Taka follows! "Why not deal with me, coward? It seems you are the more fake of us two." There's a bit more gunfire back and forth by the time Taka makes it to the busted window with a Nina through it. * TakaM doesn't respond to Taka's taunt, being outside and all. (Wait, Nina is actually _impaled_ on the window?) ( Not impaled, but she is resting on the windowframe. ) ( Chest-up. ) * Taka sighs and murmurs, "Silly child..." right before going out the window. The helicopter is still on and very loud. The door to the cockpit has been left open, and the window to that door has been shattered. (No gunfire noises?) The other Taka and Gerald exhange fire again- Taka's SMG goes flying, and Gerald drops to his knees, staring at his wrists. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (d6+6) and gets 8. (Ah, you SUCK DICE.) * TakaM runs at Gerald, weaponless. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6) and gets 6. * Taka runs at TakaM, her slippered feet moving quickly. She says angrily as she looks right at the woman, "Strike him and you will not have time to deal with me!" * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6+2) and gets 12. * TakaM reaches Gerald, spins, and plants a foot in his face. He reels backwards, and she continues the spin... "Are you so sure about that, fake?" * Gerald crumples, bleeding from the face and wrists. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-4) and gets 8, a CRITICAL FAILURE!!! "Your logic is faulty, your intelligence is doubtful, and your sumo is insufficient." (Thank you, dice. Miss by 6.) (... Er, wait. Miss by _2_) (My mistake.) * TakaM smirks as the kick knocks the charging Taka back on her ass. "Because you will not touch me again." * Taka gets knocked back and oofs slightly and says with a hint of not being all there, "I doubt luck is that much on your side, murderer. " She regains her feet and gives her head a very slight shake before looking at the woman with controlled anger. * TakaM lets her foot come back to the ground- she had froze in the position the kick connected with. "I don't beleive in luck. Only skill and ruthlessness." * Taka says with a hint of disgust. "And honor? Has that fallen by the wayside for you as well?" You managed to hit me once, so I will recognize that you have some small amount of skill. *she smirks* Unless you would rather attribute that to luck? * TakaM eyes flare with anger. "HONOR IS FOR THE NAIVE!" * Taka quickly whips her left foot around towards the other woman's side. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-3) and gets 4. * TakaM barely brings up her own leg to block in time- but she does, pulling the leg back and whipping it forward twice rapidly. Honor only existed for me in a fairy tale. And even a little child knows that fairy tales are not real. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-4) and gets 3. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-4) and gets 2. * Taka 's foot comes down and she doges back and slightly to her right side, her left hand coming down towards the other woman's ankle. "Is the Style really so twisted in your head?" * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-3) and gets 6. * Taka 's left hand wraps around the other her's ankle and she YANKS the other woman forward towards her as her right leg comes up, knee forward to run her straight into it... in theory! * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-3) and gets 0. Kubota has it's f- *whoof* * TakaM loses her breath when a knee decides to implant itself in her chest. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-3) and gets 3. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-4) and gets 3. * TakaM wiggles, pulls backs, twists- to no avail. The fist headed for just below Taka's throat, though... Kubota... The Style? Don't make me laugh. It has it's flaws. I've studied seven different kinds of martial arts, Kobuta included. You only know one, and I know how to beat it. * Taka brings her stump around to protect her throat as she jumps forward, still holding the leg, again, knee-first. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-3) and gets 1. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-3) and gets 7. * Taka causes TakaM to tilt and fall backwards, knee pressed to her chest and, upon landing, immediately solidifies her position with her other leg lying across her upper thighs. As she kneels on top of the other woman, she says, still with the controlled anger undercurrent, "Technique is not all." * TakaM tries to buck her off, but she just can't get into any good position to do it. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-3) and gets 9, a CRITICAL FAILURE!!! "If I go crazy, will you still call me Superman?" (You fucking dicebot.) (I get a grab, then a PIN, and I get a critical failure on my first strike under that pin. >_<) (What were you saying about luck being on your side, fake?) (Hmph.) * Taka lets go of the other woman's leg and swings her left arm down to hit her in the side, but catches a rock instead, hissing at the pain. * Taka grabs the rock and tosses it way off in the distance, still plying her weight and legs to keep the other woman down. * TakaM twists, and tries to get away. Which still doesn't work, so she shifts position again to get contact against her left breast pocket, rubbing that against Taka's knee. A whirring starts up from the helicopter. * Taka frowns and brings her hand up and across to hit the woman's face... * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-1) and gets 7. (Thank you, critfail, for completely screwing my pin position.) * Taka does a bad job of it, however, the pain in her hand screwing with her ability to actually land the blow, so instead she just leans forward on the woman's neck, with her arm, and tries to whack her in the forehead with her own forehead. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-3) and gets 3. * Taka snaps in annoyance, "What did you do?" The whirring from the escalator shifts into a more distinct sound- a ignition hiss, and suddenly a missile shoots out from the helicopter! * TakaM squirms, trying to get away more, unsuccessfully. "You're right. Technique isn't everything." (Uh, at _what_?) ( YOU. BOTH OF YOU. ) (Aiee!) Sometimes it's just the size of the gun. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6+1) and gets 9. * Taka 's eyes widen and she slips her feet to the ground before slipping her arm behind the woman's neck and flipping them both backwards in a very stylish move... * Taka then brings those very same feet to the woman's chest and lets go, before, with a slight wince and yet satisfied look in her eyes as she hits the ground, she kicks the other woman towards the very missile she fired. * TakaM , finally, free, makes a spectacular rolling landing into a quick stand. Her eyes lock onto the missile, and she puts out a hand... * TakaM pulls it back, withdrawing it, and sidestepping the missile and jutting the palm of her hand against the side of the missle, changing it's course. The missile isn't perfectly veered- it wizzes by Taka and explodes against the houses wall. * Taka shies her head away from the explosion before sitting up and looking towards it in a little bit of a shock. (Retcon due to explosion proximity!) * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-4) and gets 2. * TakaM throws up her one arm to protect her face, and turns away from the blast. * Taka tries to roll forward and away from the explosion, taking a number of sharp pointies mainly in the legs and back. The explosion rips a (large) hole in the side of the building, but Taka escapes the brunt of it. * Taka regains her feet and runs towards the woman, saying now without the veneer of control on that anger, "You see how all your styles mean so little now that you resort to dishonrable TRICKS," and as she says tricks, she leaps forward, foot extended at her mirror image. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-3) and gets 8. (And the dicehate _continues_.) * TakaM smirks as Taka goes flying by. "Say that to me when you've mastered one, fake." * TakaM pulls a knife out of a pocket, and flings it away. "Let me show you how it's done!" (Flings it away?) ( yeah ) * TakaM runs, and does just the same- running and leaping, foot extended, and aiming low. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-4) and gets 1. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-3) and gets 1. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-6) and gets 3. * Taka attempts to grab for her twin's leg but misses. She does, however, adjust to face her as she lands and tries to whip out a quick knee to hit her. * TakaM lands from the kick on her knees, and pops up to her feet in a quick hop- she gets kneed, and she falters a bit before thrusting out a hand, and flattening it into a knifehand, and swiping at Taka's throat viciously, putting her all into the jabs. She's out for blood. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-4) and gets 4. * Taka weaves around the strikes and counters with a pair of her own, forceful spinning roundhouses that send Taka spinning on her feet as she hops from one to the other to deliver them. Clasic double-roundhouse. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-3) and gets 0. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-3) and gets 7. * TakaM gets slugged, still off-balance and off-guard from the jabs. She hops back, and resettles her feet, then snaps out a lightning fast kick up, followed by a heel-slap down. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-4) and gets 6. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-4) and gets 1. Style... is overrated. I'll kill every single one of my imposters by whatever means nessacary. Fairy tales shouldn't exist. * Taka jumps back from her kick up/down and strikes out with a pair of kicks, face and stomach. "So what justifies your mass murder, Taka?" * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2 2d6-3) and gets 4 3. * TakaM 's hand darts out, deflecting her calmer twins kicks to either side. "The fairy tale tried to kill me. I consider any attempt on my life a declaration of war by the entire group, and having more than one of me just plain pisses me off!" * Taka snaps, "That's insanity. Is that how you treat something that saved your life?" * TakaM twirls, her back to Taka for just a second- she juts her elbow out, and jumps backwards, aiming the elbow for Taka's neck, and then simply headbutting her from behind- expect she snags her arm on Taka's shirt, and jerks forward instead. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-4) and gets 2. * TakaM hisses, "Saved my life? She ruined it!" Ichiro is dead! And if that wasn't enough, her mere presence started to crumble my image. Do you know how HARD it is to command respect when you're a woman with one arm among the Yakuza? That ... that fake, she tried to kill me, poisoning my head and thoughts. * Taka tries to drive her knee into the other her's back, whispering in a harsh tone, "You abandoned your family for the Yakuza?" * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-3) and gets 8. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-3) and gets 3. (FUCK YOU DICEBOT.) * TakaM 's voice drops to a calmer, sadder tone. "I never abandoned them." I only failed them. * Taka looks at her, then snaps angrily, "So you try to kill me and mine? Including Haha? My mother, dead by your hand? Does that give your life meaning?" * TakaM snaps back, "You don't count! None of you do! None of you are real!" * TakaM breaks off the fight, dancing backwards torwards the helicopter. * Taka follows. "At least I am no Yakuza murderer! And at least I face my foes!" * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6) and gets 3. * Taka runs after her and launches into a flying kick at the fleeing woman. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-3) and gets 4. Taka merely scratches her. * Taka follows up the landing with a snap kick as she tries to keep up. "If you are so twisted as to hate someone who did nothing to you, I wonder how much this woman had to do to poison you in the first place." * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-3) and gets 4. * TakaM leans back from the kick- so far back she falls. She catches herself with her hand, and lashes out two wild-looking kicks that go high, then low, then in between. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-1) and gets 1, a CRITICAL SUCCESS!!! "A WINNER IS YOU!" You can ask her when you meet her in the afterlife. * Taka jumps over her surprising kick and comes down towards her midsection. "If I do, perhaps I will." * TakaM doesn't quite roll out of the way in time. She groans, and lies there. "Godd.. goddammit..." * Taka drops down onto TakaM with her knee, probably in just about the same position. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taka (2d6-3) and gets 2. It felt like something broke under then impact. And the kneedrop doesn't help much. * TakaM eyes glaze over- they take on a tortured expression, and then she starts thrashing in place wildly, spasming. ... after about 20 seconds of that, it stops, and so does she. * Taka , uh, gets off the creepy twitching woman, still on her knees, but once other-she flops dead she sighs and stands. After a second she says, loudly, "Gerald? Nina?" * Taka starts walking towards her husband's body. Gerald isn't moving. His nose is bent wierd, and bleeding. He's also got 3 bulletholes in one wrist, and 1 in the other. Gerald? * Taka kneels to take his pulse. Nina's where she's been. In the windowframe. Gerald has a pulse! It's faint, and the breathing's shallow. * Taka holds her breath while she's doing it too, obviously seeming nervous... and lets out an exhale. "Hold on, honey. Hold on, I'll... find a phone." * Taka stands up and runs towards the house... or, rather, what's left of the house. * Taka whispers to herself, "Please, Sachiko, be safe..." The house is in pretty good shape, aside from the damage to the front of it. * Taka looks for the phone, starting in the kitchen. The phone is intact, believe it or not. * Sachiko pads into the kitchen as Taka's doing that, rubbing her eyes. "Ta... Ta! You're home!" Jan 26 04:41:27 End. Gerald and Nina will love. Err. Live. >_> <_< You just want to steal my husband! >_< DRUNKEN HUSSY. >_< ... not until his nose gets fixed. Because, like, EW? I just killed a woman who took you out badly, miss supeermodel. Remember that next you look at my husband.
