Jan 21 23:38:45 ** Taki Wars, Session 7. Nick's in school! Yay school. Today has felt a bit odd, though... It's his last class before lunch- Life Sciences, and his teacher pulls him aside as the bell rings. The rush of the other students leaving is short, loud, and does not include Nick. It's January 18th, 2005, and it's just hit noon. Start. ( If you'd be so helpful to do a descrip for the camera... =p ) * Nick slings his backpack over his shoulder, walking up to the teacher's desk. He's an extremely attractive young man in his mid-teens, with shaggy blond hair, twinkling green eyes, and a half-smile eternally on his face. He's currently dressed in a baggy and slightly torn black t-shirt, with jean slacks and black sneakers in roughly the same condition. What's up, sir? * Teacher is rumored to be over 100. He doesn't look quite that old, but he DOES look OLD. He's got teeny little glasses hanging off the egde of his nose... and a long, thin jet-white beard that reaches to his waist. At least. * Teacher watches Nick patiently, as if he has all the time in the world. "Mr. Anderson. I have an assignment for you. Don't fret, it won't take but a few minutes." * Nick looks fairly accepting of this idea. "Alright." * Teacher stands up, stroking his beard. "Come with me." * Nick nods, following at a fair distance. He looks a little confused, though. * Teacher starts walking, beckoning Nick to follow. (..Switch those lines?) ( Err, yeah. ) The two of them trudge through the crowds massing and flowing to the general direction of the lunchroom. After a few minutes, the crowd fades away, travelling through empty hallways. What kind of assignment is it? Ah, I was just getting to that. *he strokes his beard* There's a theory I've spent much of my life researching, Mr. Anderson. ..Okay.. It's called the Theory of Coalesence Phenomena. Have you heard of it? Not that I expect someone from this sort of school to understand it. * Teacher waves a hand, cutting off any respone from Nick which may be forthcoming. "Enough, though." * Nick shakes his head slowly, opening his mouth.. and shutting it with a click. * Teacher stops at a windowless door. He pulls out a key, and opens the door, holding it open for a second, beckoning for Nick to follow, then dissapearing into the darkness beyond. * Nick pauses for a second, shrugs, and heads into the door. It's dark, and echos of feet on metal echo all about. The echos come from Down, and it takes a moment for Nicks eyes to adjust to the near-total lack of light. When they do, though, he discerns a stairwell. It goes one direction- down. * Nick squints, descending the stairs quickly. * Teacher is fast- Nick can't quite catch up to the clattering echoes of the old mans feet. * Teacher is waiting for Nick at the bottom, though. Which is around four flights down. * Nick stops on the last stair. He doesn't appear to be short of breath or even perspiring. * Teacher opens another door, and walks in. "Come, Mr. Anderson." * Nick follows, not concerned in the slightest that he's in a dark sub-basement with a teacher he barely knows. * Teacher flicks the light on- it looks like a medical office. There's an observation window, but beyond that is unlit. * Teacher takes a seat at a desk, and pulls out a pad of paper, looking over it. He points to the door leading into the observation area. The lightbulb in there has a distinct lack of ability to illuminate the area. It ... irks me. * Nick sets his backpack down at the door to the office, pausing. "..What does?" * Teacher pulls out a lightbulb, and tosses it to Nick. "Go inside there and change the lightbulb. I cannot reach it with these old legs of mine." This is what you needed me for? * Teacher flicks his gaze back to the pad, and nods. "Then I will be out of your hair. I would appreciate it." * Nick catches the lightbulb easily, shrugs to himself, and heads into the observation area. Explains why he didn't want one of the smart kids.. The door into the observation area closes itself behind Nick. It smells awful, like something- more like a lot of somethings- died in there. * Nick grimaces, looking back into the office through the window. "Um, sir?" Curiously, the floor is padded. And Nicks speaking voice seems a bit muffled. Oh, the window? It's one-way. Yes? * Nick walks over to the door, looking for a handle. "The door closed.." Don't worry about it. I've changed my mind. Mr. Anderson, I'd like you to meet Mr. Anderson. About what? The lights suddenly come on- there's a few odd things about the room. First of all, it's entirely padded. The observation window is barred with thick steel bars. There's weapons on one wall- guns, rifles, swords, bats, knives... And last, but not least, is... another Nick. Well, he looks like you. If you hadn't had a bath in a long time. And were wearing tattered, bloody clothes, and frothing at the mouth with a look on his face that says 'FUCKING INSANE.' ..Holy shit. I think you would like to make friends with him, but I would like it if you did not. If you'll excuse me, I'm going to get my lunch. * Nick turns to the window. "What?! You're going to leave me in here with.. that.. whoever he is?!" * InsaneNick lurchs to his feet at the light, eyeing Nick like he's food. * Nick takes a step backwards. "Um.." You might want to know that I've trained him to survive by cannabilism, and I don't quite recall when I last fed him. My memories starting to go in my old age... Ah, well. I'm sure I'll remember sooner or later. You.. you're crazy! * Nick looks around for the nearest weapon-like object. The office lights turn out- and then the sound of a door closing sounds. There's a lot of weapons! Take your pick! * Nick grabs a large pistol off the wall, holding it two-handed and pointing it at his evil twin. "Just stay away until he gets back, alright?" * InsaneNick leaps forward, frothing, hands out. (Actual combat or just posing?) ( Oh, yeah. This is combat proper, now. ) (Alright.) * InsaneNick lunges past, and screams something gutteral. Probably bad, since he sounded angry. ( And you're up! ) (Past what?) ( Past YOU. ) * Nick turns around quickly, keeping the gun aimed at his double but not yet firing. * InsaneNick grabs a 7" knife that's curved on the outside, and serrated like a saw on the inside, of the wall. That makes a unerring beeline for Nick. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nick (2d6) and gets 3. ( s/of/off ) * Nick twists away from the knife, which leaves another hole in his shirt but no injuries. He then aims at Insane Nick, squeezing the trigger once. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nick (2d6) and gets 9. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nick (2d6) and gets 9. * InsaneNick crouches down low, bending his knees, as Nick's shot goes wide. He leaps at his other, slicing again hungrilly, growling. "FOOOOOOOD!" * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nick (2d6) and gets 9. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nick (2d6) and gets 9. * Nick screams as the knife cuts deep into his left arm, but manages to raise the other one, aim the gun at his insane copy, and fire. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nick (2d6) and gets 6. * InsaneNick 's battle cry gets cut off as a bullet buries itself in his shoulder. It doesn't slow him down much, though, just changes his direction- back to the wall, dropping the knife as he grabs a thick, steel bat. * Nick responds by running over to the wall and picking up a double-barrelled shotgun. "You want bigger? I'll show you bigger." * InsaneNick snarls. "Fssooood..." * InsaneNick shifts his weight backwards for a second, then swings himself, and the bat forward, in a wide, uncontrolled swipe. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nick (2d6) and gets 10. ( ... well, at least it's not a 9. ) (It's *higher*.) * Nick takes the blow right on the side of the head, staggering for a moment before regaining his balance. He snarls in a manner that's remarkably similar to his evil twin's, pulls the hammers back, and unloads both barrels right into the twin's chest. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nick (2d6) and gets 9. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nick (2d6) and gets 7. * Nick misses spectacularly, filling one of the walls full of holes. He switches the empty shotgun's direction, holding it barrel-first like a club. * InsaneNick jumps back crazilly from the blast, eyes glossing over momentarilly. When they refocus, they lock onto the shotgun, and the bat swings torwards it- and misses. * Nick charges forward, swinging his makeshift club at his twin's head. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nick (2d6) and gets 3. * InsaneNick gets konked but good. He shakes his head to clear it, and wipes some fresh blood from his ear. * InsaneNick swings again with the bat. It's a lot more controlled this time, and lightning fast- it's made a resounding thud on Nick's head before he realizes it, and instinct alone keeps Nicks head on his shoulders. * Nick wobbles backwards, taking a moment to clear his head before swinging at his counterpart again. He seems to be tiring fast. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nick (2d6) and gets 6. * InsaneNick takes longer to shrug off the blow this time. There's blood seeping from his shoulder as well as his head, now. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nick (2d6) and gets 5. * InsaneNick drops the bat and leaps at Nick again, wrapping his hands around his others neck. SQUEEZE. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nick (2d6-2) and gets 1. * Nick is tackled thoroughly, losing his shotgun in mid-flight. While struggling for breath, Nick gropes around, finds his pistol, and whips it upward butt-first at Insane Nick. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nick (2d6) and gets 8. * InsaneNick messes Nick up by lifting him by the neck. He swings his captive in one full arc... * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nick (2d6) and gets 7. Nick gets thrown against one of the padded walls- he lands okay. Well, on his feet, at least. * Nick keeps the pistol, flipping it over and taking aim. His eyes are half-closed, there are bruises covering his head and neck, but he manages to squeeze the trigger. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nick (2d6) and gets 9. * InsaneNick lunges at Nick again- fast enough to not be in the firing arc at all, and fast enough to slip on the knife he dropped before and end up ramming his shoulder into a sword on the wall full of weapons. * InsaneNick pulls himself off, crooning. * Nick raises the gun hastily as his crazy counterpart is extracting himself, firing again. His eyes are more open now, but fairly unfocused. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nick (2d6) and gets 2, a CRITICAL SUCCESS!!! "I'm a child of extremes. Have a crit, and a nice day to go with it." * InsaneNick gurgles up blood- from the gaping hole in his throat, stumbling back against the wall, dislodging most of them, and finally falling over on a short spear, which makes itself evident through where his lung should be. * Nick drops the gun, falling to one knee and throwing up violently. * InsaneNick is dead. Doubly dead. ... despite the puke, blood, mess of weapons, and now a dead body, the room is still locked. * Nick staggers to his feet, wiping his mouth off and heading for the door. The door does not open. It's locked from the other side. * Nick inspects the door for hinges, a window, a crack.. something. The hinges are on the other side, and the door and knob are made of metal. Thick metal. * Nick groans, settles himself in the least-visible part of the room from the window, and waits. ... and time passes. It's not too long, only 15 minutes or so, but it seems like an eternity. And the smell... ugh. A door is heard opening, and the office lights flick on. Oh, so you did make it. My hopes in you were justified, it seems. * Nick walks over in front of the window, leaning forward to try to peer through it. The barred window is one-way. Nothing to see there but his own reflection. Just.. let me out of here. * Teacher ignores the request. "I don't imagine you liked that very much." If it makes you feel better, he's better off now. * Nick is staring at the window with hatred dulled only by his fatigue. Let me out. Now. I think not. * Nick raises the handgun suddenly, aiming at the window and firing repeatedly. The window shatters, but the bars are still in place. Nick can see the far wall, the office door leading out, but no person. The bars are 1.5" thick, and Nick could probably stick an arm through the gaps, but nothing larger. He's have trouble just getting a fist through it without unclenching it. * Nick pulls a crowbar off the nearby wall, wedging it between two bars and prying with strength fueled by desperation. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nick (2d6+8) and gets 11. Such high hopes for you, my boy... (... Wow, almost a crit.) There's a click, then hissing starts from inside the observation room. I'm getting out of here, no matt-- what the hell *now?!* You're an intelligent boy, surely you can guess. * Nick looks around for the source of the hissing. It's coming from all around. The ceiling, floor, all the walls... * Nick turns back to the bars, and keeps trying to pull a bar free. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Nick (2d6+8) and gets 16. In fact, Nick's staring to feel rather sluggish. Urgh.. * Teacher clucks his tongue. "It seems your ordeal has dullened your senses, Mr Anderson. It is sleeping gas." You.. you sick.. bastard.. * Nick falls down to his knees, reaching out to the bars weakly before slumping over unconscious. I'm a firm beleiver that the ends justify the means, Mr. Anderson. And then ends, ... they shall make all concerns on the path there fade away. Jan 22 01:50:20 End!
