Appearance: Small, cute, underdeveloped girl with chin-length black hair and blank, completely white eyes. She looks even younger than she is and is amazingly fit, in a trained way. Often wears shades (to hide her eyes) and casual clothing.

History: Born and raised in the Tottori prefecture of Japan, Miya's father trained her in martial arts from an early age. She developed into a good martial artist and fantastic gymnast, and she had hopes of making it into the Olympics come 1996. Her first obvious display of mutant powers occurred when she was about to be hit by a train; she teleported home, and her eyes were blank thereafter. Miya found herself kicked out of her home "for her own good", and after trying to get her grandmother to take her in, went to Tokyo. There, she met Wolverine and Gambit, had a run-in with the yakuza, and was eventually brought to the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters.
