Tri-Stat dX Servant attribute revision By Zegon Destructacon Cost: 1 Point/level or 3 Points/level Effective Level: 3 or 9 Points/level Relevant Stat: Soul Required PMVs: None Optional PMVs: None Progression: Linear; +3 Servant points/level; +5 Servant Skill Points/level Reduction: None Restrictions: Servant has an active life and is not always available; servant has a conflicting agenda; communication barriers The character has a sidekick or companion entity. This entity could be an intellegent robot, a talking pet, a wizard's familiar, a sorceror's apprentice, a starship commander's right-hand man, or any number of other things. All servants must have free will, be able to think for themselves, and work with the character. Servants almost always have the character's best interests at heart, but as they're not the character themselves, can still deviate from this path. Servants start with 3X Servant Points, and gain 3 Servant Points per level. Servant Points may be used to purchase attributes or increase abilities that the servant has. Servant ACV, DCV, HP, Psyche, and Shock Value is determined just like a character's. In effect, Servants are extra 'characters'. Servants may even take defects to gain more points with which to purchase attributes or abilities. Servants start with X*5 skill points and gain 5 skill points each level (or 10 skill points each effective level). A servant's role makes particular defects usually inappropriate for them. Famous, Owned, Involuntary Change, and Red Tape are among these. If a servant is killed, destroyed, or otherwise removed from play permanently, another servant of equal power should become available or take their place after a period of time. Servants normally can't change between adventures. This is represented by the 1 CP/level (3 CP/effective level) cost. If the servant can be changed between adventures, or even in the middle of sessions, then Servant costs 3 CP/level (9 CP/effective level) instead. If a servant cannot come back, and none will be available for the character in that specified timeframe, the player should have the option of dropping servant for a refund of CP.
